Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to the Robin and Kid podcast. I'm standing
up for this, Yes, I mean often we stand up,
will sit down depending on how important the conversation is.
But wow, Kip is staging an intervention on himself.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Yes, well, because I saw a video. What was the
video one of the one of the posts we did
online on our Instagram. I think it was actually the
intervention when we're talking about your your mobile phone case
wallet thingy that you've got, I know.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Which is still not happy about and I've done nothing
about it, which I will.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
You haven't changed. But I saw myself in this video
and I was like, Okay.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Why what happened?

Speaker 2 (00:37):
You are being more annoying than no, Well, I just
I had titties.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Oh you mean you saw yourself.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Saw myself physically, and I was like, okay, the wheels
are officially off. And it happens to a lot of
people when you have kids, of course, and now that
we've got Siena at home fourteen weeks and it's like,
I think I've been to the gym maybe five times
since she's been born, and all the extra stuff that
I used to do, like know, me and I used
to go walking or running. That's all out, I know,

(01:06):
and we're getting more takeaway because it's just it's just
we don't have time to cook and all those things.
So I just I feel like if I don't say
I need to say it on air, which will make
me do it. Okay, that we've got ten weeks until
we go on Christmas holidays and the end of the year,
and so I want to I'm giving my im I

(01:26):
don't necessarily want to say ten kilos because weight is
not necessarily the best metric of but I want to. Yeah,
I want to lose I do want I'll say ten
kilos though, I want to lose ten kilos in the
next ten weeks to get back to what I should be,
what I feel most comfortable at, and to be able
to wear you know, large T shirts instead of like

(01:46):
this is an XL now because I feel grossy in
or large because everything's sort of sticking out. I've got
guts and stuff, and so I want to Yeah, I
want to get fit again, start eating better, get like
serious about doing exercise every day of the week at
least if not weekends.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
Yeah, Okay, two questions, How are you going to do that?
Because your situation at home hasn't changed.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Naomi is supporting me in my endeavors.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
So that means she's going to give you more time
to go out and go to the gym.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Yeah, to have an hour every day to do something.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
Can you go like I used to just increase the
size in my trailer at my trailer my stroller as
I had kids. Yeah, can you go and walk Siana together?
Can you do that sort of stuff?

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Has we can? She's just not great, Like we don't
get far before she blows up. She's like, she doesn't
like she's in that. She's in that bassin out at
the moment where they've got to be lying down. So
we can't strap her into anything and run yet. So
and she just doesn't really like it. So we we
kind of walk a bit. We'll get maybe a ka
but it's not really exercise something.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Because you live in Berlimber and the hills are great.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Oh yeah we've got a hill. The hill up to
our house is a workout. But yeah, I want to
do that. And I've just got to eat. I've got
to eat better, Like I'm just I'm not doing it properly.
You know. We get so many treats in here, like
some people are always bringing in donuts and things subway,
so whatever it is, there's always something like every second day,
and now that I've said this, there'll be donuts within
an hour, okay, So I've just got to stop that.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
This leads me to the next question, what would you
like me to do in this process to help you?

Speaker 2 (03:16):
I want you to keep me honest, So I want
you to check in because if I know that, if
I know that you're aware of it and that I've
got to that I've got to. So I don't know,
I don't want it to be boring for everyone, you
know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
But there's so many people who I mean, we all
get this.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Yes, And and by the way, you're like, if you
want to join me in the in the you know,
on this journey and do it for over the like
we're gonna till the first week of December, like let's
just go hard and get ready for Christmas and sort of,
you know.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Okay, I'll make it deal with you because I'm I'm
you know, hey, I got my own stuff going on,
and mine's lack of eating, not too much eating, but
believe me, it is the same issue. I will hound you.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
Good, required Yes, yes.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
We have to have an agreement that if I'm going
too hard then you shut me down because I can
be irritating.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Okay, I haven't noticed.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Well no, but you know, like I fully support what
you are trying to do, and I want to support
you in a way that would be supportive.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
And I give you permission to be a painting will
you Okay?

Speaker 1 (04:20):
Great? Excellent, that's a first. Are you up for other
things like fun stuff? Like could we get Corey Otes
involved for example, because he's like, oh my god, that man.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
His body is incredible. He's just he's got he's got
like nine percent body fat or something ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
Yeah, but like, could I get you to come swimming
with me one time it's centenary? Yeah, you'd be up
for all those kind of fun things.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Yeah, and Corey's got bad knees, so he's not going
to make me run too far.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
Can you maybe get like some local chefs in who
could do some great meal ideas for people with young children?

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Yeah, something that you can whip together quick that isn't carbs,
just like all the quick stuff.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
Is kill you up?

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Okay, great? Yeah, I mean any other suggestions, guys, of you.
I mean we've manned every single person that's had I
put on thirty kilos with my youngest son.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Yeah yeah, I mean you did carry it inside you,
which is a little bit different.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Okay, but the child only weighed like two vanillas, lasses
and chocolate thick shape.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Yeah, there's not that much umbilicable fluid or whatever it is.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Even when the placenta came out, it was only an
extra kilo.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
This is seven kent you got that.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
It's Robin and On Brisbane's Kiss three
