Speaker 3 (00:42):
Are you embarrassed by your Santa singing? Anthony?
Speaker 2 (00:45):
Thank you very much, all the club song.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
See you guys chucking Anthony your new book hot cover,
My friend, it's working for you.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
Look like you've just come out of a workout. Your
Cavety's when everything everything's ribbling.
Speaker 4 (01:02):
Well, it wasn't hot that day that we actually shot that.
It was like literally eleven degrees in Melbourne. We were
in a garage and they were just pouring cold.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
Water all over me. So yeah, oh I had the
hardest nipples that day. Jesus, I could have put glass
at them.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
There's lots in this book, so many things.
Speaker 4 (01:21):
Yeah, There's definitely been some moments where I'm like, do
I really want to do this and I'm not even joking.
Forty eight hours before I had to send the last
edit to the publisher, I literally called my management and
publicist and I said, I don't want to do this anymore.
Can we pull the pin? And they're like, no, there's
already pre sales and okay.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
Because it's a really.
Speaker 4 (01:39):
Different headspace to be and like, I feel extremely vulnerable.
I'm sharing parts of my life that I've never shared before.
There's parts in this book that I had to send
to my parents before I sent it to the publisher,
because even as a forty year old, you still somewhat
don't want to disappoint your parents and you want to
be completely honest and transparent with them, and so I
(02:00):
needed to do that before I sent it off to
the world.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
Was there anything they said take out?
Speaker 1 (02:05):
I'll be completely honest.
Speaker 4 (02:07):
I left my mum and dad a week to read it,
and then my dad called me and I was driving
at the time, and he goes, I read your book. Congratulations.
He goes, there are certain things in there that I
would like to talk to you about at a later date,
and we can, you know, we can do that over
dinner or a drink.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
But there is just one thing that I.
Speaker 4 (02:28):
Feel as though that you have to rework or rework
because I don't want you opening yourself up to another litigation.
When I speak about the Sony stuff and my relationships
with the record label and so forth.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
I mean some of the people that you've sung with,
like you were supporting Whitney Selene.
Speaker 4 (02:45):
Selene was the best because I was so scared to
meet her, because when you get the phone call to say, oh,
you want to do it with Selene, I'm like, yes,
but please don't ruin it for me.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
And she was so so beautiful. I still have the
that she bought me.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
She brought me a Cartier clock, she wrote me a
handwritten note.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
There was just such a beautiful person.
Speaker 4 (03:06):
And the thing that I learned from touring with her
is that leadership starts from the top.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
You don't have to be an asshole.
Speaker 5 (03:12):
Everyone loved working in her team, and you know the
way that she dealt with people. Sure, she's a very
direct and she knew exactly what she wanted, but she
was an absolute professional, and she put high expectations on
herself and she just led by example.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
And I learnt a lot from that tour.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
And is that the way you treat ten and you
two together absolutely.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
From the top. I no, I wish you wasn't here.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
Actually, the book is amazing. I follow you avidly on
social media and there was a lot in this book
that I had no idea about, including a surgery, my friend,
which could have ruined your career. But let's not tell that.
Speaker 4 (04:02):
Which which one my testicles on my throat?
Speaker 1 (04:06):
Yes? Which career are you talking about?
Speaker 3 (04:13):
The book is called behind the Voice or in Italian
dietro lavoce?
Speaker 1 (04:18):
Do you want him? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (04:19):
Please?
Speaker 2 (04:19):
Would you?
Speaker 1 (04:19):
Would you say in Italian? For his please? Anthony, it's
the level, That's what I said. You just said it
like you had a few too many beers. Thanks Anthony,
have a good day.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
It's involving Terry and kids on Fristone's Cheese ninety seventy three.
