Speaker 1 (00:00):
Robin Terarily Kip on Brisbane's Kiss ninety seven to three.
Harry Styles Adore you. It's Robin Terry and Kip on
Kiss ninety seven three eight oh nine. Now, before we
talk to Annie and her boyfriend John, let me give
you a quick refresh on Annie. She's lady in Redcliffe.
Her sister in law Jane, contacted the show. She believed
that Annie was being catfished because she'd given over two
(00:24):
hundred thousand dollars nearly a quarter of a million dollars
to a man she'd never met. Our PI Dave was
able to confirm this was true and miraculously able to
get twenty four thousand dollars back for Annie, whose life
has since done a full one eighty to the point
that she recently told us this.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
Whats have happened? I have a new partner.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
Whoa, whoa.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
I've been on a couple of paps and he was it.
We just clicked and kipps going and it's unbelievable actually,
and we actually moved in together.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
Oh whoa, whoa wow.
Speaker 4 (01:03):
Ye, And that reaction continued throughout my life. Over the
last couple of days, so many people have asked me
about who's this guy? What's gone on with Annie? So
we've got them both with us. Hey guys, hi hi
yuess hello, we should formally introduce you John.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
Welcome, But you sound normal. Annie's obviously told you her
story and what's happened over the last couple of years
and what she's been through, and so I guess you've
had to tread fairly lightly because she's a fairly tender
bird with what's gone on. How have you sort of
taken to this new relationship.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
I've been through a divorce myself, so I know what
it's like to lose a little bit of money, and
it was amazing when she told me. But we both
shared both sides of our story because we shared so
much in common, we've just gone on like a bunch
of popcakes. Okay.
Speaker 4 (02:00):
It was take me back a bit because we were
in Annie's life consistently for about three weeks and she
told us that she had put herself back out there.
So was this on an app? How did you guys
actually connect?
Speaker 3 (02:13):
Well, Robin, we actually connected on the same app that
you're on. I'm hinge?
Speaker 4 (02:18):
Is it hinge? Or bumble bumble right, which means that
Annie has the first chance, so women have the movie Bumble.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
I just happened to be on the right time and
she said hello, and then we started a conversation and
we organized to meet up at BG's way, yeah, and
make the Barry GiB and our love of music together.
We just started talking about music to start with, and
it just kept on going from there.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
We know, because and he was telling us that she
got our PI Dave to actually run the rule over
you and make sure that you were who you said
you were. Was that fairly unusual for you? John?
Speaker 3 (02:53):
It was a little daunting at first, but once we
communicated and talked about it, I realized that it was
for her and it was peace for a family. I
now have the support of her mother, who is fantastic
about it all. And the report came through clear and
we were able to work forward.
Speaker 4 (03:11):
Okay, but but how long have you been together? For Annie?
Speaker 2 (03:14):
I haven't actually counted the weeks or anything. It's just
slow and by three weeks possibly yeah, four yeah, and
we've basically only had two nights away from each other.
And yeah, we just want to spend every moment together.
Speaker 4 (03:30):
That is so lovely and you know, like we all
know what that brand new love feels like and how
just addictive it is. But the decision to move in together.
Tell me about that, John.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
Well, we both had discussions about sharing all our time
together and I was in the process of looking for
a place myself. Anyway, we actually had a discussion with
a mum present, how can we go with this? So
we got somewhere that overlooks the water and somewhere we
can actually grow together as a couple.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
I don't want to be a spoiler a lot of
where we've been. Have you both put into buy this place?
Speaker 3 (04:03):
Yes, we have. We both shared it and make sure
we drew up a few contracts so we know where
we both stand and work together.
Speaker 4 (04:09):
Can I Is there any children involved?
Speaker 3 (04:12):
Have two children who are older and they moved out
of Hume.
Speaker 4 (04:15):
Okay, so that met them and you met them.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
You do not muck around?
Speaker 4 (04:19):
And how did it go meeting the kids?
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Did you get approval any?
Speaker 3 (04:22):
I think so?
Speaker 2 (04:23):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (04:23):
John, I don't think.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
Absolutely, she did down to earth, she had a harder
goals and both my kids have taken her under their wing.
Speaker 4 (04:32):
What about Jane. Are your sister in law and your
brother who was the person that actually brought all this
to our attention in the beginning.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
So we're still waiting to catch up with them, but
they know we're together and we're living together and everything,
so that's good.
Speaker 4 (04:46):
Yeah, yeah, okay, absolutely, And I guess my only final
question you can tell me to mind my business. But
that one of the greatest things that we were concerned
for you and you said to us when all this
cat fishing went down and you lost over two hundred
thousand dollars, was what your future is going to look like,
particularly financially.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
I feel so positive. I know that he's not after
any money. We've been really explicit about that, which is great.
We want to both have love in our lives. We
want to have that type of companionship and friendship and
all of those basics of what you build a relationship on.
And the future looks really, really super bright.
Speaker 4 (05:25):
You know what, any people really took you into their
hearts and they were so worried about you, and you know,
like everyone has such empathy because, as Kip said when
we were talking to you a couple of weeks ago,
you know, love is love and you were just a
person looking for love. So it seems my friend you
finally found it.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
I have, I have. John is an absolute keeper. I've
shown the girls that work a picture of it. Oh
he's so gorgeous.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
Life.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
Uh huh Yeah, it's.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
A nice little pump of the tize this morning.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
John. Yeah, Robin, Terry and kid, I'd like to say
thank you ever so much for your help Annie of
these past number of weeks. You've done a wonderful job
installing her confidence and making her feel so much more positive.
And if it wasn't for you, guys, I may know
I've ever met her.
Speaker 4 (06:15):
Thank you right and to what could have been a
truly awful, awful story. So congratulations, guys.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
Thank you guys, Thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
We're so happy.
Speaker 4 (06:26):
He seems like a nice guy. Does seem like a
nice guy.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
Yeah, not to seem he sounds like a nice He does,
he really does. Just hope it works out.
Speaker 4 (06:35):
It's Invovan, Terry and Kidd on Brisbane's Cheese ninety seventy three.
