Robin Now with Correos the podcast. We had a big
family farm weekend at a place called Melroe Station. Now
Melroe Station is owned by the Lindor family. Lindoor Cranes
are a massive crane company in Brisbane. If you saw
the Star Casino being built, you would have seen some

of the Lindor cranes. And Peter Lindor, who is the
original Lindor and now all his family is involved. He
now left the crane business and is a cattle farmer
in Killany. He is a tough dude. And what has
this got to do with me? Well, my middle son
Lewin is dating his granddaughter Jade. Thanks Todd, I love it.

(00:49):
Thank you, No, no, it's okay. So they invited us
out to Melroe Station, which is this eight thousand a
station cattle station where they have ultra black beef cattle.
And Peter Lindou as the patriarch, is a really scary guy.

(01:09):
He's in his seventies, but he's a gruff bushman who
knows cranees. So he's dealt with men all of his life.
And so, and for example, we did we're talking about
a rodeo on Friday. He actually got in front of
the shoot when his grandson Ollie, was going to ride
a bull because he wanted to get the best shot,
and he didn't care that the bull was coming straight

for him, and the bull didn't The bull took one
look at Peter and went and I made him all good,
I'm going over. This is a scary guy. So on
Friday night, we're making pizzas together all the family. There's
my boys, their girlfriends, my boyfriend, Ollie Olivier, also one
of my son's girlfriend's parents from America. There's a lot

of us and we're making pizzas and Peter comes up
to me and he said, Robin, I want to talk
to you about your son. Oh right now. Lose twenty
two And anyone who knows me or has listened to
the show for a while would know that Luna and
I have had a very passionate, difficult at times relationship.

(02:12):
My book is coming out this year. He is writing
his own story in that book. But I can tell
you that he went off the rails a lot as
a teenager, a lot of issues around police. There was
a lot of things that went wrong. But he is
a black and white kid, and he is the most
extraordinary human being. Here we go. So when Peter says

(02:35):
I want to talk to you about your son, I'm thinking, okay,
as Lewin used his black when he should have used
his white, like as he upset Peter, and Peter said, Robin,
your kid is one of the most amazing, wonderful human beings.

(02:56):
So for someone like me, who's been a single parent,
who's an okay mom and a pretty crap dad to
think that my boys have got to the point where
a man's man thinks that he's a good kid, proudest
parenting moment ever. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
See, I told you, I really I got the said this.
If you kept going, I was probably gonna start crying
because that's big And obviously when you explain it the
sort of guy he is, it's a it's a big
compliment come from a really tough man to about your son.
So keep going, Rob, see if you can get him.
