Speaker 3 (00:47):
Welcome guys, and thank you for dressing up, even though
it's for radio.

Speaker 4 (00:52):
Yeah, I did it for you guys. It does make
a difference, Yes, says the man in tracks.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
You've got the right idea. Actually, yes, I wish I
was in my track have Gone for Comfort.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
Yes, that's him.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Every day now.

Speaker 5 (01:05):
You do know it's the power red for pretty women.

Speaker 4 (01:08):
That is.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
I don't know if you remember in the movie, but
there's an iconic scene where she dresses in the beautiful
red dress and she does that.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
That's the one with the snapping of the jewelry case. Yes, yes,
And there's another iconic scene which we are going to
reenact with you shortly, which I'm I'm sure we're.

Speaker 4 (01:28):
Looking forward to I'm very much looking forward to that.

Speaker 5 (01:32):
Yes, but you got to know, as Samantha, that Pretty
Woman for Us is a really big deal because you're
starting here in Brisbane, I know, and it's the Australian premiere.
And it was such a big deal that Brian Adams
actually came out to make the announcement so cool and
I got a little bit cheeky with him. He wasn't
necessarily thrilled with my question, but I have a listen

(01:56):
and any chance of you playing Edward zero?

Speaker 3 (02:01):
Edward's the Richard gear character right byan zero because he
wrote all the music, like the.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Score, Oh my gosh. Yeah, he's written all the music.

Speaker 4 (02:09):
And the songs are so good, they're so memorable and
they're so fun and yeah, I mean it's Brian Adams
such a good song right now.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
How old were you when A Pretty Woman the original
movie came out, you child?

Speaker 2 (02:21):
I think I was two. But you know what's really weird.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
It really is one of those movies I watched over
and over again with my mum, right and then I
remember watching it when I was a bit older thinking
why did she let me watch this?

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Because of what's what it's about?

Speaker 1 (02:35):
She's a.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
But she used to tell me like that she's a dancer,
That's what she used to tell Yeah, but I loved
the outfits and I remember her hand just coming in
and you know, obviously going over my eyes in certain scenes.
But it is such a magical movie and I just
feel like they don't make those like rom coms anymore.

Speaker 5 (02:55):
So how did you get the role of you? And
what happened?

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Was this a long progress?

Speaker 3 (02:58):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (02:59):
Yeah, I've had this like it's like that random little
secret that you can't tell anyone, like that's on the
tip of.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
Your tongue you've had for a while now. Yes, So
they kind.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
Of called me and asked me to come into what
do you And I was like, I've not done musical theater,
like I did one play when I was fourteen, twelve
or fourteen.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
I did Sound of Music. I was one of the kids.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
But that was like only in Perth, like they come
and get you in then four weeks and I was
so nervous to go in and I was like, you
know what, I'm just going to do it.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
And then I went in and they liked me, and
then my.

Speaker 4 (03:31):
Managers like, I think this might be that you need
to really think if you want this, because you might
actually be ok at it.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
I was like, okay, I.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Would have thought me and the singer. Yeah, because I
watched the Extractor.

Speaker 4 (03:41):
I remember I love music.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
I love watching all the music shows and all that
sort of stuff. But I remember you weren't really sure
when your audition. You were very good. That's fair and
say that you see very confident.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Because I'm an actor, because I was. I was not
sure that.

Speaker 4 (03:58):
I was so nervous too. I actually wore a really
high shirt that day because I got a stress rashle
over myself. Yeah, same as my audition, pretty woman. But
I think you just you just go in and you
got you go okay, just fake it to you make it, I.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Think, Yeah, but the nerves are real.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
Yes, So opening night in Brisbane, I don't even want
to think about it. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
No, it's going to be amazing.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
You've known for a bit though, because I saw on
your Instagram a couple of weeks ago. Now weeks ago,
you put up a video of yourself just touched down
in LA and headed straight to the most beautiful hotel
in Beverly Hills, the Beverly Wilshee.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
My gosh, Yeah, let me tell you about this. I
didn't know I got the role when I stayed there,
so that was a whole other thing. I was going
to you know, good a la they do they yes,
And I was performing at that and someone from that
hotel got in touch and was like, do you want
to come and put a few pictures up?

Speaker 2 (04:54):
And then I was absolutely yes. But no one knew
that this pretty woman thing was happening in the background.

Speaker 4 (05:00):
And the day I checked out is the day I
got the call that I got Yeah, because I only
stayed one night.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
And I that's when I found out I got roll.
So it's just like one of those things because that's
in the movie. That's where is that where reach, That's
where she stays. I was like, my mum is for
sure looking down at me, going like, let me just
pull some strings here.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
Yes, we're going to check some traffic. And then when
we come back, it's time for our reenactment of a
scene from Pretty Warm. Oh my God, Samantha Jada. It's
Robin and Kip now with Coreo. It's on Kiss ninety
