Speaker 1 (00:12):
I heard podcasts year more kiss podcasts playlists and listen.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
Live on the Free Now with the podcast Are you
there guy sebastian? I am.
Speaker 3 (00:30):
I am, Yes, paid a picture. You are right now
lying in a recovery position. You've got your leg elevator
because you've just had surgery.
Speaker 4 (00:38):
Yeah, yeah, I had on Thursday, and yeah, not a
great injury. It's it's some some would say it's it's
a career end in sports.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
It ended Cash's career, and.
Speaker 4 (00:53):
It's it's funny like all the doctors that they keep
referring to that same feeling that Pat Cash explained having
where he thought someone sniped him in the back.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Of the leg.
Speaker 4 (01:05):
And it's the same feeling I had playing an AFL.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
Game last week. We snap your achilles or something snapped
the achilles. Yeah, I've had proper.
Speaker 4 (01:15):
Clean snap as well, so I've had to stitch it
back together and well and then show me back up.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
So you're in a charity game, and is it I mean,
obviously your fit you spend a lot of time, you know,
the gym and things like that, but that doesn't mean
that you're not old.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
AFL fit is very different.
Speaker 4 (01:33):
I discovered and I grew up playing footy when I
was younger, and and like, I was actually really keen
to get out and have a bit of a warm up,
which at my age I.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
Definitely should be doing. And for how long.
Speaker 4 (01:49):
Brandon Favola, the problem is he's he's a touch older
than me, and he went out played that game and
then he actually played another game right after it.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
I think it was more.
Speaker 4 (02:01):
About while I was supposed to be warming up, I
was actually sound checking because I had to perform in
the halftime as well as a.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
That's unusual, lucky guy, you have a back up career, Yes.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
Yes, yes exactly. And look, I'll be back on my
feet eventually. I don't need to get back to AFL
like type fitness, so I'll be I'll be back as
long as I can move on stage. It's just just
a real long recovery the achilles. I'm in a cast
for another six weeks, I think, and then I'm in
a boot and.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
Crutches for a little while and then rehab.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
Well, while you have been resting up, we have discovered
your son, Archie, your ten year old son is quite
the prodigy, my friend.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
A bit of a weapon, is it?
Speaker 3 (02:51):
Have a listen, this is so we just played guys songs,
you'd know it. But Archie has changed the lyrics to
reflect his own basketball game that was going up.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
Have a listen Saturday night back to the I must
say it's done on the prize an clean.
Speaker 4 (03:21):
He's a guy, and he shocked me here when he
comes in with them.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
I mean, there's people have been singing the hell Wives.
They can't harmino.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
It's incredible. I tried to tell him that. I'm like, like.
Speaker 4 (03:46):
I've said to Archie heaps of times, I'm like, you know,
I worked with professional singers that they don't hear Harmoni's naturally,
they've actually got to learn and like note for no,
he's just he's got it's more so how connected he
is and he's just sitting in the.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
Chair there just like that.
Speaker 4 (04:03):
That that was because I've seen his lyrics, but I
didn't know what melodies and stuff he had sort of
come up with.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
So that's why I'm a bit shocked.
Speaker 4 (04:13):
At the end of the DA that was really good.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
Do some more guy, because we've got a bit of
a proposition. Okay, so we've got to thing called Corey's
little League. Cory is trying to bring back the fun
for NRL, and we're putting two teams together, the North
Side and the South Side. They're sort of eleven twelve
year olds, all levels of experience, and we're going to
have this great day where unlike adults wholl injure themselves.
Speaker 4 (04:40):
These kids yes with limber tendons.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
We need a theme song, and we need a kid
to do a theme song. So would actually be interested
if we sent him the kind of criteria of what
this event is, that he could maybe change the lyrics
and do a version for us.
Speaker 2 (05:03):
Clearly he loves a brief. Yeah, his older brother is.
Speaker 4 (05:08):
Right in the thick of rugby at the moment. He's
just started rugby. Hudson, who's thirteen. He's in high school now,
he's in year seven over year and he's he's rugby obsessed.
And so maybe I'll get his brother to help him
with lyrics or something, because.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
Then you know, we'll plan on Kissed and we'll like,
there's three weeks leading up to it. We would just
love to have a theme song with a kid singing.
And clearly your kid is an awesome singer.
Speaker 4 (05:39):
I reckon you would be up for that. He's I mean, honestly,
that's not that's nothing. He's such a weapon. I hate
being that that parent that like brags about their kid.
But he's just I hear him around the house and
Jules and I are always looking at each other going
like what the heck? Like he's doing these technical things
that like adults.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
Because you're not being that.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
God's really good.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
So let our people talk to your people and let
you and Archie and husband Husband Hudson creates something extraordinary
for Corey's little league.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
Could I get the one tip for your recovery for achilles?
I've been yet mates that I have had it, they've
done very well. But find a friend in a scooter. Yeah,
and I scooter.
Speaker 4 (06:31):
I ordered one from Amazon on Fev's advice. You know
the worst part about this injury is like I've got
a lot of mates who are athletes, you know, arranging
from like just people who play cricket for Australia and
then heaps of AFL players and stuff, and they've all
texted me and every single one says the same made
(06:53):
not the Achilles.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
You do the recovery so long you're going to hate it.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
So forgetting album about you know, long lost love or
how amazing. Is we are going to get a Guy
Sebastian album? About how painful.
Speaker 4 (07:12):
Recovery Goy's new album, Achilles Heel. I finished my album
literally got literally like a couple of weeks ago, got
the last master because I think it.
Speaker 2 (07:27):
Would have been a very different album if I'm just
sitting there. Yeah, the album come good.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
The new single maybe is great. Yeah, we wish you
all the best with the recovery. Thanks for joining us, mate.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
See you guys. To you about the Archie thing.
