So when you were here, were you in this actual
building here in Milton, Yeah, okay.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Yeah yeah. So for those that don't know, And when
I was ceremoniously dumped to last time from Kiss ninety
seven three, Bianca took my place and then that all
went pear shaped and I came back and you took
my place, and it's so it's so weird how it's
all worked out, because you know, you'd think there would
be a lot like animosity, but I just feel like

(01:14):
we both love each other.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
And we get each other. Thirty three years in radio,
thirty two years in radio for myself, thirty three for Robin,
and it's so I feel I've never felt the sisterhood,
be more strong. I lost my gig doing Bricky Radio
down on the Gold Coast and Robin reaches out, checks
in on me.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Is amazing.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
Then Robin and you know, you guys very sadly leaving.
My god, I'm going to miss You're amazing. And you know,
the day Robin finds out that this show is ending,
she's messaging me, checking in on me and how I'm
going on the Golden Bachelor, saying you're amazing and you're
such a strong woman. And I'm like, Robin Bailey, you

(01:56):
are a gift to this industry, to this city, and
I love you to Kip and Corey. But like Robin
is amazing.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
So well, you can't blame the other players in this game,
can you. That's that's the thing. It's the industry is
a rough one. Yeah, you get mad at the other people.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
You can't.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
You can't.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
I mean, I did call Jackie the other day. You
guys have taken all the money, but I was joking.
I was joking. It is it is it showbies.

Speaker 4 (02:25):
We know, we get it.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
And I didn't want to get emotional so soon, but
I've got a little I wanted to give you this
and look, I wanted to write names down because full
respect Laurel, Margo, Beautiful Abby, Nikki, Loretta, all the other
gorgeous queens of radio and Brisbane past. But Robin, this
is my favorite. My queen, hat my queen.

Speaker 4 (02:52):
I mean we have.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Because I love you and you know we Yeah, we've
been We've been through a lot together. I mean nineteen
ninety two you started here waking up the people of
Brisbane and of course just cannot being born, for I
hate you not being born. You shared your heart, your soul.

(03:18):
We've all cried with you, we've laughed with you. Then
I came on board. I was like your little I
was like your detail for three years.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
I was on the Carian and you went off the
Triple A.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
It was all with stuff, but like, yeah, I love
you and it's a yeah, it's crap and I'm going
to miss you.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
So does this mean that my next gig is reality?

Speaker 3 (03:39):
Oh my god, I was going to say, I was
going to say Golden Bachelorette. But you've got yourself a
very hunky man who rides motorbikes and he's yeah, did.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
You know that? You know that he speaks He speaks French.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
Does he with. I just said hi, and Bianca. I
think I said how are you? I might have said
were's the bathroom?

Speaker 4 (04:09):
I don't know how's it going.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
I'm loving watching you on the on the show and
The Golden Bachelor. Thank you. I feel like you were
made for that that show, not that you were making so.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
Much single desperate and desperate.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
Kip and I just Kip and I have worked together
back at No. Two thousand and one in Sydney.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
We've no Kip's allowed to do whatever.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
You know, what did you find?

Speaker 4 (04:38):
I'm up with you. You know, I can't say what happens.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
You know, I can't ruin it. But the date last
night was I have never had because you know what
it's like, you guys interview, right, Well, it's almost like
a a treadmill of contestants to come out off these shows, right,
So do you know how weird is being on the
other side? Like weird?

Speaker 2 (05:01):
Weird?

Speaker 1 (05:02):
And play play a bit from last night because you
actually got exposed. And the thing that I watched with
you is that he was trying to move closer and
You're like, I'm going to back away.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
Oh my god, I know, And I'm like, you're here
to get intimate.

Speaker 4 (05:15):
Bianca, what are you doing? Stop backing away from the bear.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
I'm always laughing with Biancha. She's so easy to get
along with, but sometimes I think she goes for the
joke rather than let me see the rear her.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
So tell me who's the anchor.

Speaker 4 (05:28):
I am really comfortable when I'm in a scenario where
you know I'm performing.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
I used humor to deflect my whole life. I've been
told I'm too much by a few people that meant
a lot to me in my past triggery.

Speaker 4 (05:45):
Yeah, you should have put a trigger warning.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
Like thank you so much, I'm doing.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
A kiss mate. He was going in and you were like,
and isn't.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
That for me? You know?

Speaker 3 (05:57):
Like down at Twain's nightclub on the Goldie and I
was happy to pash anyone on the bed.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
In the nineties, I remember the very first novous staff party.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
Don't the bottom too bad?

Speaker 4 (06:11):
She's just lucky you. I probably did some survey party.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
Couple of blokes in the tech department. They were pretty excited.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
That's right, what a hussy. Nobody tell beer on a hussy.
I have a reputation.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
I'm not sure what that reputation is.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
Though I know, I know, I was so surprised because
all the girls in the mansion and this is no.
They were all like, hald On, you have been working
in show.

Speaker 4 (06:38):
Beers for thirty years.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
You've got up on stage, you've been on radio, you've
been on TV. I have my own TV show, blah
blah blah. They're like, you're not nervous, and I'm like, no,
you don't understand when it comes to me and people
seeing my heart and being rejected and growing up you know.
I mean, my family were amazing, but you know, I
came from a broken home like so many people did.
And I think my whole life I was a performing monkey.

(07:01):
I was always in order to get love. It was
always either get the best grades or be performing or
doing something to you know, have the people love you,
you know, but not actually see you. So even though
there were lots.

Speaker 4 (07:12):
Of cameras around, I had this moment with him where
we were just he was just staring into my eyes
and I was like, he's looking into my soul.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
And I just, oh go, my nipples just went hard.
That Sorry, Sorry, that was really awry. Why I lost
my job

Speaker 2 (07:37):
Here, we're gonna talk more with me on the podcast,
so make sure you get that wherever you get a podcast.
