Speaker 1 (00:00):
On Canberras hit one or four point seven, it's day
through act young blood successful musician.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Yeah, I think it was just announced it as to us,
I think he's coming down under. Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
I'm not I'm not on the young Blood bandwagon, but
he is in the headlines today because supposedly he has
done the most rock star thing in this generation.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
So you grew up.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
In the era of the rock star, like the full
on proper rock stars.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
What's the hottest thing you remember them doing?

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Oh hare, it's a lot of hair.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
But in their actions, you know, like rockstar they were,
they were, you know, all of the bad boy think.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
It was an irresponsible time. It was so the eighties.
Things would be thrown out hotel room windows and for
some reason we thought that was not just acceptable, yeah
but cool, And then someone an't I woke up.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Yeah, that's why there's been a while since we've had
a Rocks down moment. Let's be yeah. But they were
really the bad boys and girls frothed it. They loved it.
They loved the bad boy.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
And Project Mate and Project popular onto an entire city.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
Also the music, But I don't know if the music
is what's making young Blood so popular.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Because there's a lot of comments going around saying.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
How he is so hot, he's so sexy, he's so
rock and roll.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Right.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
Too bad about the music, that's not a lot of
the sentiment. This is probably the best song I've heard
of this because that's not bad. But he did something
that people are thinking as real hot. And I want

(01:50):
to ask you, is this hot?

Speaker 1 (01:53):
You can play along wherever you're listening here is this hot?

Speaker 3 (01:57):
So young Blood was performing and he finished up, and
he was meeting fans.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
So it was a fan in.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
The front row at his show that he approached and
he's got a cigarette, so he goes up to the fan.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
He takes a big drawer of the cigarette before.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
Kissing her on the cheek and handing it to her
and walking away.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
I find that absolutely disgusting. I love a bad boy.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
That's gross.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
What if you're a smoker? Is it all right if
you're a smoker?

Speaker 2 (02:34):
I don't know. Maybe how many smokers are there these days?
It's a gamble.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
I was watching what's that movie? There's he's a fantastic
actor and he plays twins. He plays the Kray brothers,
which were two Mobsters from London back at the East
End of London backing, I don't know the forties or
the fifties. Fantastic film, So.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
What I know who you're talking about?

Speaker 1 (02:59):
Right? Great actor?

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Does he also play Venom?

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Yes? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (03:03):
That guy?

Speaker 1 (03:03):
Yeah, that guy?

Speaker 2 (03:04):
Yeah, what's his name?

Speaker 1 (03:05):
I don't know anyway, So he meets this girl, just
thinking this seems like a similar story, maybe a fifties version.
He meets this girl, he likes her, and she's sucking
on a lolly right, okay, it's a sherbet or whatever
the style was at the time, and he goes, can
I have a taste? And she goes, yeah, you go,

(03:26):
and so he tries it and then gives it back
to it. That happened to me once stop it.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
I was at Mooseheads downstairs.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
I was sucking on a lollipop and a monster comes
in and I have a taste.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
He's like, you're a bad boy. I mean wrong.

Speaker 4 (03:45):
Gabby rapped on camera four point seven.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
We are just about their Deep Jay Challenge number two. Now, Gabby,
before we cross to a star of Australian music producing
and Australian reality tell you twenty four hours ago sent
a list of songs. I want to go through them.
You said we need some flow writer, you know, classic smart.

(04:14):
Then you've gone a little bit more current. One of
the biggest artists is not the biggest hip hop artist
in the US at the moment, Travis Scott, I love
that song. Good choice, Thank you. I don't want to
give away who the artist is because you've gone for
a couple of her songs as well, so we'll do
that last Will Sparks And as a huge DM fan,

(04:44):
you know, the greatest song in the history of the
world is.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
How could I not?

Speaker 3 (04:52):
I was just thinking if I was on the dance floor,
what songs would I want to be included?

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Well, I'm going to give away who you've challenged here
because you've also very wisely and politely included one of hers.
She's the first Australian female DJ to crack the Billboard
Hot One hard. We know her from as I'm a Celebrity,
Get Me out of Here and the Amazing Race Australia

(05:19):
Djhabarda Brown, Welcome.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
Back, Hello, what great songs.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Great song shows, great choices, and I reckon there might
be one more of your your hits snuck in there
as well. Before all that you're actually in Australia for
ten seconds, and then what you're playing at? Playing a
gig in Fiji tomorrow night.

Speaker 4 (05:40):
Yes, I am playing in Fiji tomorrow night. Then we
are going to the Gold Coast, have a show on
the Gold Coast. And then it's a very busy weekend actually,
and then there's Friday's tour. I'm going to be going
to see Pitbull perform obviously.

Speaker 5 (05:55):
On Saturday night.

Speaker 4 (05:57):
Sorry Friday night?

Speaker 5 (05:57):
Should I found in Brisbane? And then I got a wedding.
I got a wedding of the Great Paris Lawrence.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
And Daniel Rioli from the Goko Sons going to their wedding.

Speaker 5 (06:07):
So you are so excited about that.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
You're not playing the wedding, you're a guest or you're
playing it.

Speaker 5 (06:12):
I'm a guest.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
I'm a guest.

Speaker 6 (06:13):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Do you love that?

Speaker 3 (06:15):
Because I know that friends love to ask friends to
work their weddings. I refuse to do that because I
wanted my friends to enjoy their night as.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
Much as I was.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
Do you get asked to DJ weddings a lot?

Speaker 4 (06:27):
I do a lot of weddings, but a lot of
my friends don't ask me. They would want me to
enjoy myself too.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
I love that.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
Well, you do love a challenge though, right, because you
were on the Amazing Race and honest celeb get me
out of here.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
I watched a bit of the Amazing Race.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
Would you get to see more of the world doing
that than you do touring because you're in and out
so quickly with gigs?

Speaker 4 (06:52):
Well, yeah, absolutely so. When I first started touring a lot,
I found that I prioritized sleep way too much much,
so I would.

Speaker 5 (07:01):
Land and I'd be like, I've got to sleep, you.

Speaker 4 (07:03):
Know, And because it is extremely exhausting on the Amazing Rays,
it was honestly one of the most unique experiences. I
don't think even if I was to go to these places,
I would have the exact same experience. It's very unique
with giraffes around us, elephants around us, and we'll dig
into the ground and trying to find teeth, which is

(07:23):
so strange, but yeah, it was. It was so so
much fun. And I got to eat a eat a
cow's head that was you know, cooked under the ground,
you know, and eat the whole thing with my best
friend where we'll get like full vomiting or she would
subject a.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Vomiting you're speaking about. I can hearing your voice. They
their fond memories in spot of the fact that you're
gagging nearly vomiting. But as far as you're being an
adventurous spirit, I mean, that's you to a t you,
isn't it.

Speaker 4 (07:49):
Yeah, Yeah, I like, I definitely love the idea of
experiencing something that is unique or you know, like that
I just never would have imagined doing. And that's I
think putting yourself up into the situations that put you
make you uncomfortable is the best fun.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
There's something that I've wanted to ask you for years
and years and years have inah and this is a
massive throwback to anyone who's listened to one O four
point seven for the last like fifteen years.

Speaker 4 (08:16):
Yes, back in the day.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
When Hamish and Andy were on drive, they were really
trying to set you up with Andy for quite some
time there.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Out on your side.

Speaker 5 (08:30):
Oh look, I've been like I have. I think it was.

Speaker 4 (08:33):
I played along with it quite well, like I thought.

Speaker 5 (08:36):
It was super funny.

Speaker 4 (08:37):
I went on like a date with Hamish just so
he could analyze, you know, and tell me about Andy.
You know, I honestly I have never laughed so hard.
So I had a great time. But I've been with
my partner for nearly I would say, like eighteen years now, right.

Speaker 5 (08:58):
And we're happily married.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
You know, I just still have that memory. It was
so funny.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
Book a lot of relationships, en Caunter, A lot of tests.
So the challenges, very few of them play out in
front of the nation in the world with a very
handsome andy leg.

Speaker 4 (09:12):
But you're Andy is such a catch, isn't he?

Speaker 1 (09:14):
That's right, But you've overcome that challenge. In fact, really
in the scale of challenges that you've experienced, this one
is nothing. I know you're going to do this one
on your ear. Gabbe twenty four hours ago sent you
through these songs. You have bounced back the remix. This
is this is some mash up and we're going to
take a listen to it. Are you cool for us?

Speaker 4 (09:35):
Everyone's ready to dance, all right?

Speaker 5 (09:37):
Yes, hope be dancing while you're driving or in the office.

Speaker 6 (09:41):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Here we go.

Speaker 7 (09:50):
The female version over.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
Over over over, the female version of a.

Speaker 7 (10:00):
A hustler, over over hus.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
Even it's a female, even it's a female.

Speaker 6 (10:21):
Co the key.

Speaker 7 (11:00):
Run Mob, Jail this is mom jail. Keep your body

(11:20):
into the dam if you want pay him making the
money and the bigger name, bigger.

Speaker 6 (11:30):
Er mo ja. Okay, come night time.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
Brown taking the Gabby challenge and putting flow Rider Travis
Scott herself will Sparks and Drude into the one mash up.
That was a wild well done, but that was insane.

Speaker 4 (12:47):
I loved every second of doing that.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
Thank you for taking that challenge. Well, I feel like
Gabby's helped today because you're going to use that tomorrow life.
We'll have to We'll have to see how it all goes,
all of them. Travel safe with all your travels. I
know you're very busy. We really appreciate the time, and
we'll talk again.

Speaker 5 (13:05):
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (13:06):
This is wrapped on camera on four point seven.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
When's the you're you're an athlete and you've got this CrossFit?
When's the competition? How long till you're out in the ocean?

Speaker 8 (13:17):
The eighth and ninth of November, so so far away.
I know I'm nervous.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
CrossFit athletes you train every day, right, Yeah, you're always ready?

Speaker 2 (13:27):
Yeah, hopefully.

Speaker 8 (13:28):
So it's a bit different though it's in Java Spay,
so swimming in the ocean.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
Yeah, how much swimming training will you normally do with the.

Speaker 8 (13:35):
CrossFit None, I've done none recently.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
As a Perth girl, you'll have grown up on the ocean.

Speaker 8 (13:41):
Yeah, for sure. So I go swimming in the ocean
like when I was living in Perth, but never like
as training.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
You just like frivolously hang out in the ocean, or
do you actually swim in the ocean?

Speaker 8 (13:52):
A bit of both, depending on how.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
Speak. He's spoken like a bung and dog.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
I just just hang out the way.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
Yeah, virtue of hanging out in the ocean, you will
inevitably swing.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
But I mean, like you know, train like doing strokes,
different to just bobbing.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
You're right. The thing with CrossFit it's all you can
you can hand off to someone like it's all. It's
a lot of relays and stuff like that.

Speaker 8 (14:18):
Yeah, And this comp is teams of four, so it
is a lot of shared work within the workout.

Speaker 1 (14:23):
With a CrossFit run, it's not a relay. You just
join the run along the way, but the person who
starts has to do the entire run. Is that right?

Speaker 8 (14:31):
Yeah, So there's a four kilometer run and there's four
team members, so one team member has to run the
full four kilometers, and every kilometer they pick up another
team member and maybe the fifth one I.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
Just joined at the finish line.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
There you're helpful cheer squad. So it can work two ways.
So the person who runs the three k's the two
k's and then the person who jump Which one are
you just jumping on at?

Speaker 8 (14:59):
I don't know yet, it hasn't been discussed.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
So would you like to jump on that?

Speaker 8 (15:03):
I think I'd be okay with going second, third, or fourth,
Like I don't.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
Want to run the full four So but the person
as the people get on, you're only his fast as
your slowest person, right, And so it's interesting the fastest
time in the history of the marathon was only achieved
by doing this. So the guy who set the fastest
human to go over the distance of a marathon didn't

(15:28):
count as an official time, but he did it because
he would have pacesetters come on srint with him to
push him, unless, of course one would not where with me. No,
it's like you go too fast, but if you've got
one of your team members it's too slow. That would
slow down your fastest four kilometer guys. Yes, so no pressure,

(15:48):
you don't want to.

Speaker 8 (15:49):
Get I think my fastest one k is like four minutes.
That's under four minutes.

Speaker 1 (15:56):
That's good.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
Yeah for one k, that's probably twenty.

Speaker 1 (16:01):
It's a long way it is. We'll never know. All right,
this is ro Gabby rapped on camera four point seven
Term four. Term four is beginning in minutes. It's go.
I think some kids were back yesterday, but anyways, everyone's
back today.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
I didn't know what you said.

Speaker 3 (16:20):
I think you said ten to four and I'm like,
what ten good buddy, Like all the kids are currently
saying six to seven.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
I thought there was a new one.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
What's the six seven about? Oh?

Speaker 2 (16:29):
It just means like mediocre, like six seven out of ten.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
My girl sixty seven to the other day, and I
was like, what's this for? I don't think about what
the context was?

Speaker 7 (16:39):
Confused.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
No, it is term four today, and well done to
everyone for making it to the last bit of the year.
Teachers of the Capitol some of the best teachers in
the world, and so we're very interested to hear the
dally m of teacher results. The who knew the NRL
award a Teacher of the Year Ashley.

Speaker 6 (17:00):
Yeah, they do.

Speaker 3 (17:01):
So they award a teacher who has demonstrated exceptional support
of rugby league.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
Still we like, is this like for teachers that are
teaching the history of rugby league in the classroom or something.

Speaker 1 (17:14):
No, I think it's if they just work it into
the curriculum. Here a moment straight away, let's just see
how we've gone, because all the teachers of Australia are
you know, it's up to you to whether or not
you embrace working rugby league into your curriculum. They do
a great job preparing the things they teach.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
How do we go, Well can Beron has won? They
ord mister John Tucker? Well what a teacher name?

Speaker 1 (17:45):
What school is mister Tucker?

Speaker 2 (17:47):
At Charles Conder Primary School?

Speaker 1 (17:49):
There is Charles Conder Primary your day, mister Tucker being
celebrated is the best teacher according to the NRL in Australia.

Speaker 3 (17:56):
As a primary school you cover all subjects by one teacher, shaft,
it would be easier to incorporate rugby league in the sports.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
I actually have I have some of the I've got
a worksheet here of the Tucker Okay, let me have.
I'm gonna read you one of the questions. And this
is the sort of stuff that the kids over there
are learning. Let's see if it teaches you guys. Okay, okay,
here's the question. If Hudson Young sykes reesewsh out into

(18:25):
headbutting him, how many minutes will Reese receive in the bin? Ten?
That is correct? That is correct. Subsequently, how many minutes
will Hudson Young receive also ten? Insane that you've got
it right. Every other kid got that wrong, like on zero?
Why would he? So they're right and wrong, which is

(18:49):
very confusing, but that's that's how they do it with
the dally m of teachers in Australia. And we've done it, mister.

Speaker 2 (18:57):
Tucker, well done, well done, random, but.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
He's done it today. It's the toast of the city.
Very good work.
