Speaker 1 (00:00):
On Canberras hit one or four point seven. It's rotten
Gabby rat.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Now it's time for the fake tan fail of the week.
Speaker 3 (00:10):
Yeah, I haven't had a fake tan in a while,
so I.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
Haven't punched up enough. It's time for There we go,
got fake tan fail.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
Off the week.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
I've only got a fake tan yesterday because we are
getting our new photos tomorrow. For everything we use photos for,
we refresh them every year. And I feel better in
a tan. Also under the drowning lights like it can
make you look a lot paler than you are. And
I'm already so pale.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
I should that I don't.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
I can't go further, so I had to. I didn't
have to, but I went and got a tan yesterday.
So I was getting my spray can and I'm standing there,
and anyone who has ever breast fed would know that
the girls sit flush along your body these days. If
that's not you, then I'm jealous. But mind. So she
(01:01):
asked me to put my arms up so that she
could spray to tnd all the bits, and that still wasn't enough,
so then she asked me put in a rack to
lift them.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
Up, stretching you out.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
So she asked me to use my hands and lift
the girls so she could spray underneath them, so there
was no white moons underneath.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
I don't know what you thinks it's photo shoots for.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
I don't know either, because then afterwards I was like, well,
that was silly because she'd already spray tanned the rest
of me. So now I have these orange marks on
my palms and I'm like, I would have preferred a
white moon under my boobs compared to orange umpa lumpa hands.
What a silly idea.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
The funny thing and no one else can say is
the actual pattern of the markings on Gabby's hands anyway
you can imagine.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
There's a white circle in the middle.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
This is wrong, Gaby rats on camera four point seven.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
So we have an icon of Australia and world sport.
He is freestyle motocross icon. Robbie Madison, you've heard him
on the show from time to time over the years,
and he's in Camber today. Robbie, get a get a
criky mate. You just got in from where ah.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
I've been in America, habit well up on the Central
Coast last yesterday.
Speaker 5 (02:17):
It's good to be back in the Capitol, though.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
We're excited you're bringing the show back to go Io
in February next year. We're going to talk about that.
In just a moment, we were having a look at
some footage before of you being the stunt double for
Daniel Craig in that James Bond film, and I just thought,
as long as blokes like you were alive and as
skilled as you are and prepared to do what you are,
AI can just go await on the couch. Isn't it
(02:40):
reassuring that there's real live action still being made in
some films?
Speaker 4 (02:44):
It's nice, you know, just I'm concerned for the kids,
but yeah, you know, I'm just doing what I'm doing
and follow my dream and that's what I'm trying to
inspire people to do for themselves.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
Well, speaking of being worried for the kids, because a
couple of your boys followed in your footsteps and they're
also motocross amazing at motocross they are. Is that pride
inducing or is it fear inducing?
Speaker 5 (03:05):
I think it's both.
Speaker 4 (03:07):
You know, there are there's such a breath of fresh
air and you know, I mean they are. Yeah, I
pitched myself how lucky I am and you know what
they're doing, and just the young men they're becoming to be.
You know, they've watched us ride and myself and all
my friends, and now they're taking to it themselves. And
I'm able to pass on all the things I've learned,
So it's a healthy combination. And to see him performing public,
(03:28):
it's yeah. I mean, it's so much pride for me
and I think fear as well, maybe more for mum.
But yeah, they're they're handling it like little soldiers and
they're doing outstanding.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
How old are they now?
Speaker 4 (03:39):
The youngest one is twelve and the oldest boy's fourteen.
So the little guy is backflop in the sixty five.
He's on the biggest backflips that anyone of that age
has ever done. So another record break, Well, they're both
record breakers.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
Are they going to perform in Cambera next fip?
Speaker 5 (03:53):
They are?
Speaker 1 (03:54):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (03:54):
They yeah.
Speaker 4 (03:55):
They're actually kind of my favorite part of the show.
But they always get standing innovation and it's just cool
to see. I remember when I was a kid watching
other little kids ride. It's so set.
Speaker 5 (04:04):
In my mind. And to see them ride and you see.
Speaker 4 (04:07):
The impact that has on the kids, it's it's a
really healthy example of courage and commitment and consistency. It's
it's all the good things I tried to instill in them.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
You take Robbie back to the first time you got
on a motocross bike.
Speaker 3 (04:20):
Well, I tried to ride a bike on a property
when I was probably like twenty.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
This is the start of every Australian kid's story so far,
so same.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
And I couldn't steer it because I blame my boyfriend
because he was on the back, my boyfriend at the time,
and so you know the weight distribution. So I couldn't
steer it. And I ran into a shed because I
forgot there was breaks. So it was a real success.
So I haven't been on a bike since.
Speaker 5 (04:41):
Okay, well we'll have to change that. Maybe you come out.
We'll put you in the show.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
In the show.
Speaker 5 (04:46):
Will put a shed out.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
There, Robbie'll jumper shed, one of us through it, run
into it, all right, Robbie sticking around with Rod and
Gabby on Hits one of four point seventy.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
This is Ron Gabby wrapped on camera four point seven.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
I haven't made it this deep into the Wednesday series
on Netflix to see the dance yet.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
How have you not? It's been out for a while.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
It got too scary me and I'm a daughter Robbie Madison.
You know, for a generation, Evil Knievel was the greatest
stunt motorbike rider in the world and now it's Robbie Madison.
Unbelievable to have you in here in person, So thank
you again for hanging out.
Speaker 5 (05:24):
That's a pleasure to be here.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Do you have time to watch stuff on Netflix? Do
you know what Netflix is?
Speaker 1 (05:28):
I do?
Speaker 4 (05:29):
I Netflix is actually been part of my life recently,
trying to do some some cool stuff in the future
and trying to get it on a big network, right Netflix,
So we'll see.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
Oh what a hook, little serious and I look, I
when I look, we've all as Australians, we've always known
about you. The world feels like it's known about you
for a long time as well. I want to ask
you two things. What are you doing for New Year's
Eve this year? And how many New Years Eves ago
did you jump the acter treomph on a motorbike?
Speaker 1 (05:59):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (05:59):
Wow?
Speaker 4 (06:00):
Well the news this is this year. I think I'll
just be waiting for the new to come in. You know,
I'm working on something massive it's probably not going to
be for Newsy, but you know, I'm just trying to
finish off when I started. And I was lucky enough
to get a phone call one day from Evil Caneval
and I was actually president at his funeral, and it
was crazy passing. I feel like of the torch because
(06:21):
I asked for him for a blessing to do a
stunt that I'm working on, and I felt his spirit
go through me.
Speaker 5 (06:26):
It was a crazy thing. I've never felt that before,
but it's an honor.
Speaker 4 (06:29):
The Kannevl families have been a big supporter of mine,
and to carry the torch and raise the bar from
where he's taken to and try to carry to a
new high, to a high height.
Speaker 5 (06:38):
And He's blessing has been the world of stream for me,
you know.
Speaker 4 (06:41):
And it's like, I know, it's a it's a deep
rooted thing, but I'm just lucky enough to be able
to have my kids that are doing what they're doing
and just this whole kind of everything I've learned and
been able to pass on to my kids. It's such
a special thing to be able to follow your passion
and have your kids do it.
Speaker 5 (06:56):
It's it's a crazy thing. So I'm feeling blessed for sure.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
I feel like to get to the level you're at,
you'd have to be a very competitive guy to keep
wanting to better yourself and beat records that other people
have set. Your kids are gonna start trying to beat
your records. How does that feel as a dad? Like,
I don't. I never let my daughter, she's only too,
but I never let her win. You feel about your
kids trying.
Speaker 5 (07:19):
To beat you, It's awesome, you know.
Speaker 4 (07:21):
I think, well, they're putting out of a job, but
you know, maybe I'll get employed as their mechanicals.
Speaker 5 (07:26):
No, it's really cool, you know.
Speaker 4 (07:29):
It's it's just more so just being able to see
them do what they're doing and the impact that they're having.
It's yeah, it's just it's a great thing. And then
our show is just I've been part of all these
shows throughout my career, and to be a part of
Freestyle Kings, it's just it's so cool because we have
the leading edge of human performance in a public display,
(07:52):
and it's it's not only something great for the family
to watch, it's it's actually in a positive way, very
uplifting for the fans to watch it and it kind
of the route. The takeaway of the show is, you know,
to inspire people to be the best versions of themselves.
You know, we're demonstrating what consistency, hard work, and commitment.
You know what it does. You know, when you work
(08:14):
like that, you make small steps forwards, but over time
you make large steps forwards.
Speaker 5 (08:17):
You know.
Speaker 4 (08:17):
So no matter what your passion is in life, you
always say, consistent out and focused on it, you'll grow
and you know who knows.
Speaker 3 (08:24):
What you can take it?
Speaker 5 (08:25):
You're in control. So that's why I'm trying to pass
onto my kids.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
I'm so glad you said that, because you know, historically
the stereotype of the motorbike guy's bad boy and he's
a ruffian and he's you know, he's just hanging out
at the front of the seven eleven. I don't know
he's not. But you're you guys are professional athletes. Gabbie.
I want you to scribe. Have you seen this New
Year stunt from years ago where Robbie jumps the ARCTA
(08:48):
triumphy in Las Vegas? I don't think I have Okay,
watch this and talk us through this is I mean,
it's quick, but get ready and by the way, some
people stopped on their New Years to see what was
going on. By some how many people.
Speaker 4 (08:59):
Were there, around three hundred thousand people.
Speaker 3 (09:02):
So they did they shut down that round about, the
shut down.
Speaker 5 (09:05):
The main street or the stripping Las Vegas. It was.
It was incredible up to treat from Vegas. Yeah, I'm
not confused.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
I'm ready.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
It's bigger.
Speaker 3 (09:15):
Here we go, not even a very big branch to
go down to get that speed up, but it's a
big raand.
Speaker 5 (09:21):
To go up, Oh my god, yeah high? Is that
the ten stories? It was thirty meters.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
Ten stories up? And then do you just you just
get off your bike and find the stairs?
Speaker 5 (09:35):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (09:35):
No, I just thought I'd use gravity and most efficient
route back down.
Speaker 5 (09:39):
We just jumped straight back down and it was what's your.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
Heart rate doing? Is you look over the edge of
a ten story drop and hope that you're going to
land perfectly on a ramp below you.
Speaker 4 (09:48):
I mean, this is a life defining moment for me
because I had to push through so much mental demons
and just like negativity, and so this has been something
that I think is inspired not only myself, when my kids,
the freestyle king and the level that we demonstrate in
our live show is some of the writers at a
level I've never got to. But it's yeah, it's it's incredible.
And this drop here was I had to break through.
(10:12):
I think a human performance barrier that maybe is.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
You know, it was natural to jump off.
Speaker 5 (10:19):
No humans don where physics meets preparation. Really, who is.
Speaker 3 (10:25):
The lady watching on?
Speaker 5 (10:27):
That's my wife?
Speaker 3 (10:28):
Yeah, I thought so because she looked like she was
about to have a heart attack. Yeah, oh my, oh
my god.
Speaker 5 (10:34):
Yeah, you know.
Speaker 4 (10:35):
I was lucky to pull that off. And it was
really came down to the dedication I had leading into it.
I was really strong, and I for a split second
there I thought I had crashed.
Speaker 5 (10:43):
And I still remember that moment as clear as you will.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
Kind of skid it out.
Speaker 5 (10:47):
A little bit, slid out, and I lost control.
Speaker 4 (10:49):
But I was well prepared, at core strength, and I
was able to pull it off.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
So did the producers who produced the James Bond films.
Did Daniel craig stunt? Guys, go right, we just saw
that you straight after.
Speaker 4 (11:00):
That's exactly what happened in the next the next Bond film,
Daniel Craig's character had to jump off this building and
they saw that and they said, we'll get this guy
over and.
Speaker 5 (11:09):
I can do it in the film, had to do
it with no helmets.
Speaker 2 (11:12):
Oh my, yeah, that's really interesting.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
Well, you know, how much is a helmet gonna save
you from a ten story drop.
Speaker 4 (11:18):
I'd rather have it than I'll tell you are a
gentleman maker taking the time.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
We know how busy you are. There's so much going
on in your world. You're literally jumping between countries, so
you're very in demand. The Freestyle Kings Live Show coming
to Canberra act at the Geo Stadium on the twenty
first of February twenty twenty six. One show only, we're
talking about twenty twenty six. Already action packed show featuring
world class motocross bermex riders and of course the great
(11:48):
Robbie Madison and his young fellas. Get ready, there is
a two hour spectacular. If you haven't been to one
of these, you've never experienced anything like it.
Speaker 4 (11:57):
Yeah, it's in my eyes, it's one of the most
impactful live shows.
Speaker 5 (12:00):
You can watch. You know. We've got one of the
craziest senders in there.
Speaker 4 (12:03):
Is actually a girl, Ellie Chu. She's absolutely well. She's
on the BMX Bikes. But the show has something for everyone.
The kids love it, you know, older folks, US, US,
Middle ages. It's just a it's a great show. It
builds in its anticipation and by the end of it
stuff's happening that you don't. It seems like physically impossible,
(12:24):
so do not.
Speaker 5 (12:25):
Want to be a part of it.
Speaker 4 (12:26):
I'm starting to bring the Canberra and to it throughout
Australia next year and you know, yes something to come
check it out. I think you'll be inspired to follow
your dreams and push harder.
Speaker 2 (12:35):
So I wanted to have you bringing the show here.
Congratulations and everything. Maybe look forward to seeing g can't wait.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
Take a tech is where you get your tickets of.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
Course, Taker tech dot com dot a you go go
go get those now.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
This is ronin Gabby wrapped on camera four point seven
in Newcastle.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
Please tell me they have some headaches with their off
the book sponsorship deal.
Speaker 3 (12:56):
I don't think some headaches is the correct phrase, but
some laughs. Maybe this is a night yeah. So Kaylen
Ponger from the Knights has struck up a brand partnership
with a fashion label and also Hellman's Mayonnaise.
Speaker 2 (13:12):
Helman's Shit it's the egg mayonnaise. It's the best mayonnaise
next to the QP mayonnaise. Well done Helman's.
Speaker 3 (13:18):
So there's also a Melbourne fashion brand called Rainer, who
have partnered with Hellman, so he's with both of them.
It's like a little triangle of partnership. And Hellman's wanted
a way that you could sneak in your condiment to
any restaurant, to be able to use your preferred mayonnaise.
And so when they partnered with this fashion brand, they
came up with a bow tie that squirts mayonnaise onto
(13:42):
your food. And so Kaylen Ponger has been modeling said bowtie,
and he's in all these photos that he's got like
he's played a food in front of him. It looks
like a very fancy restaurant and you just squeeze the
bow bit of the bow tie and like a clown
bow tie would water, it squirts mayonnaise down onto your
(14:02):
food and you can take your condiment wherever you go.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
I was afraid this story was going to be stupid,
but it's not. It is so ridiculous it is.
Speaker 3 (14:13):
Do you have to refrigerate mayonnaise.
Speaker 2 (14:16):
A well, think about it, it's on the shelf U refrigerated.
Speaker 3 (14:20):
Yeah, but then once you open it, because it's egg,
it's an egg product.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
Do you prefer it to be cold?
Speaker 3 (14:26):
I guess you'd have to, like you keep and then
just be real quick in the dispensing.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
You've brought a lot of stories about different ways to
dispense soy sauce.
Speaker 3 (14:39):
This year and the winning one whatever.
Speaker 2 (14:42):
We have fought over a lot of things, but this
is the greatest thing ever.
Speaker 3 (14:47):
I'm going to show you as well, because it's a
pretty stylish bow tie. Like it's blue with gold florals
on it, so it's very.
Speaker 2 (14:55):
Never looked at a bow tie and gone water. Perfect
apparatus for store boring condiments.
Speaker 3 (15:02):
But now I have always known, why have we not
listened to the clown?
Speaker 2 (15:07):
It's been steering us in the face and then it
squirted us between the eyes, and we've stopped thinking about it.
That's an awesome one, all right. It's silly in just
a moment, sort of silly and smart.
