Speaker 1 (00:00):
On Canberras hit one O four point seven. It's Roden
Gabby Rat.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
All right, this.
Speaker 3 (00:17):
Is the type of music I expect as an emo
girl for you to have playing during Christmas.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
And so it was the big setup this weekend. The
lights are up.
Speaker 4 (00:27):
Yeah, I'd love this music to be going, but I
have to be more traditional with my daughter according to.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
I don't know science. I guess.
Speaker 4 (00:36):
It just feels like I have to be more traditional
with her.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
Rock out mate.
Speaker 4 (00:40):
Yeah, well maybe I could get her to rock out
with me. But we did decide to put up the
Christmas lights and decorations over the weekend because we're really
busy for the weekends coming up to December. So this
was it. So we went to Bunning's, we went to Aldi,
we went to a few different places. We got some
different decorations, and then yesterday was the day and we
couldn't have picked. It's a more windy day to try
(01:03):
to put up decorations in the yard.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, that was. It was awful.
Speaker 4 (01:07):
Insanity, the gusts of wind that were coming. So when
we were doing the little lights, they were kind of
protected so it wasn't too bad. Then we're trying to
put this big net light over the hedge, and so
my husband's up on the top of the ladder and
there's gusty winds like it was just not a good idea.
But the real problem was the blow up, Sannah. And
(01:27):
so I'm trying to tether him down and these gusts
of wind and he's blowing all over the shop and
he nearly ended up in the neighbor's yard.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
So he looked like one of those wacky flailing inflatable
tube man.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
He was not meant to be that. He was just
meant to be.
Speaker 4 (01:41):
Sanna.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
Way to commit like anyone else would have gone, well,
this isn't the day for an inflatable anything, and you go.
Speaker 4 (01:48):
What day we're locking this in?
Speaker 2 (01:50):
We're doing it today and we're not doing it at all.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
Our neighbors across the street put up the Heeler family
inflatable blue band.
Speaker 4 (02:03):
One of the houses in bangd has.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
That right and at lights of it night, it's fantastic.
We could not be happier. We get the best of
you in the world.
Speaker 4 (02:10):
I don't have to deal with it.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
Well, no, and on the windy day they were wise
enough to deflate it. Obviously, Oh no, I can't mine not.
Speaker 4 (02:16):
It's made sure he was really tethered down. It was
a good test to see that he will withstand or weather.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
That's a good point.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
You don't No one checks the wind rating of their
Christmas decorations, but I guess and a sensible note, we ought.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
To This is rapped on cameras four point seven.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
The I thought it was an emotional reaction from Sonny
when she was told by Bear that she was the
one we're doing this.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
Yeah, and I liked that. It was a sincere moment.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
Every day you showed me a new facet of your life.
Speaker 5 (02:55):
You amaze me with your resilience and your courage me away, You've.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Ever come so much.
Speaker 5 (03:08):
I'm still so loving her full of life.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
I'm she'sn't saying anything. I'm loving her face. She is
so she looks like she loves this guy.
Speaker 4 (03:18):
Yeah, but she still looks a bit nervous because he
hasn't said it yet, because sometimes you know, they give
you the you're so great butt.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
Oh okay, let's find out if that was going through
her mind. And we go to the winner of the
Golden Bachelor last night, Sonny, who is with Bear. We
understand good morning, Sonny.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
Congratulations, Oh good morning.
Speaker 6 (03:37):
I thank you so much. Yes, indeed the day is
next to me.
Speaker 5 (03:40):
Good morning morning.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
Congratulations to you mate.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
We didn't we spoke to you at the start of
this thing, and I can't believe this looks like and
sounds like you're together happily every after finish it is,
I hope.
Speaker 4 (03:58):
So I think it is that you actually got a
ring off Bear last night on the final episode Sunny
and it went onto that finger. What does that ring mean?
Speaker 5 (04:10):
As I said the pmis it was a promise ring. Yes.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
Isn't this of.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
Having been around, done a couple of laps of the block.
You know, you've you've got realistic expectations, right.
Speaker 5 (04:25):
We're taking it one step at a time. Yes.
Speaker 4 (04:27):
So how does it feel now that you can actually
be out in the world, out in the open public
about your relationship because there's been so much speculation over
the last few months. Whenever you're Bear, you're scene as
an individual like at the Melbourne Cup or whatever, and
body language experts are trying to say that you or
your body language says you're single and whatever else, And
now you can finally say no, we're quite happy.
Speaker 5 (04:53):
It's there. We're still in the opening hours of that.
But yeah, it's it's fabulous. It's really nice. It's good
to not have to sneak around and not have to
hide anything.
Speaker 6 (05:06):
Yeah. For me, yeah, I must say it's been a
bit difficult to hear all that, you know, rumors and
all that, but it was very frustrating time. For seven months,
you can't even sit together or have a coffee together
and have to be very very careful about everything. So yeah,
(05:26):
but now I feel free.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
I didn't realize that it had been seven months because
if someone said, okay, listen, you found the love of
your life, they've said, right, I'm into you. I'm into you. Now,
we'll get back to this in three months tops. I
might go, okay, it's doable. Seven months and then you
begin to see those rumors. You said a second ago
that it was tough, Sonny. Did you was there ever
(05:49):
any temptation that the two of you did a sneaky catchup?
Speaker 2 (05:51):
Did you do that?
Speaker 5 (05:52):
There was, there was a few conjugal visits, yes, yes, catchup.
Speaker 4 (05:57):
Was it like you were teenager sneaking around again?
Speaker 5 (06:01):
Yes, yes, very covert, very absolutely.
Speaker 6 (06:05):
It was. It's like a mission now double O seven
and I'm a bune girl.
Speaker 5 (06:08):
You know, Wow, that.
Speaker 4 (06:11):
Sounds kind of sexy.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
You've got you, James Bond, all of a sudden, You're right.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
We went from this seven month sounds like hell to
this is a wild time.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Congratulations to you.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
Thank you so much for sharing the end of this
story with us today because you know, we, too many
of us for too many years, see the end of
it on TV. But that's not what you know is
really happening. But you too, you looked in love on
TV last night. You've had the most unique test in
any relationship that you've had to spend seven months apart,
straight out of the gate, and now you get to
(06:42):
go and hang out together.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
So we wish you all the luck and goodwill in
the world.
Speaker 5 (06:47):
Thank you, Thank you very much.
Speaker 6 (06:49):
You have a wonderful day. So we're going to have
wonder for day today.
Speaker 5 (06:55):
Today.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
There we go, Bear and Sonny. It's real. I can't believe. Well,
that's fantastic.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
Love is great.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
You never hear that from Gabby.
Speaker 4 (07:05):
No, you know.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
This is wrong. Gaby rapped on camera.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
Who is angry Ginge?
Speaker 4 (07:12):
Everyone's asking that question today because the new season of
our Celebrity Get Me out of Here UK version starts tonight,
so they've revealed who is going into the jungle for that.
There's actually a few big stars that are heading in there.
There's the model Kelly Brook, there's popstar Martin Camp, there's
Jack Osborne, Yeah, Jack. There's a few good ones going
(07:36):
in there. And then on the lineup there was also
Angry Ginge and everyone's like who. So he is a
twenty three year old content creator. He plays video games online.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
People know he has millions.
Speaker 4 (07:48):
Of followers, but not in mainstream media, so people who
watch a mis leberty get Me out of Here aren't
necessarily gamers, so a lot of people don't know him.
So there's been a lot of search who is Angry
ging And one particular clip has gone absolutely viral. He
was in a podcast with Michael Richards, who's a famous
(08:09):
soccer player in the UK, and Micah Richards is like,
Angry Ginge, interesting name, what's your real name? And it
leads to some hilarity because it's very very different to
Angry Ginge. Have a listen, what's your name?
Speaker 2 (08:26):
What's the government name? Morgan? Mike is relieved that someone
has a more unusual name than him.
Speaker 4 (08:43):
And I think just the laugh is making this go
viral if nothing else but continue to the last name.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
Mike is laughing so hard the cameras are almost falling
off their mounts.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
That is fair enough. Morgan's got with egg.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
That angry gin could be a less hilarious name than
Morgan Birtwhistle and the accent makes it even better.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
This is wrong, Gaby wrapped on camera. What a four point.
Speaker 2 (09:19):
Seven something happened on the weekend.
Speaker 3 (09:22):
Just feel like a lot of Christmas trees and decorations
and stuff went up, and it just felt like, hang on,
we're counting.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
Down now, Yeah, we are, and a lot of this
went hang on a better check the roster because people
started asking, Hey, when are you coming, when are you
going to be here?
Speaker 4 (09:39):
What are we doing for Christmas Day?
Speaker 3 (09:40):
And then you're going to check with your other half
or when are you working up to when am I leaving?
Speaker 4 (09:44):
We actually had this argument last night because I swear
my husband said he was working the years of Christmas Eve.
He's like, I put it in the calendar and I
was like, oh, that was a slap to the face
because I didn't think he was using the calendar. But anyway,
he's not wearing Christmas Eve. But it turns out there
is a ruling that is getting a lot of employers
in trouble in the lead up to Christmas. BHP has
(10:08):
actually been fined because of this. They're like a big
poll glombering up in Queensland. But there was a ruling
back in twenty two three P Yeah are they are
they mining?
Speaker 2 (10:18):
Yes? The Big Australian.
Speaker 3 (10:23):
Yeah, yeah, I was just impressed that you were explaining
to USHP.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
Some people might not know sure.
Speaker 4 (10:29):
Anyway, they had rostered people on over Christmas and they've
gotten a lot of trouble because there was a ruling
in twenty twenty three confirming that employers have to seek
employees consent before requiring them to work on public holidays,
despite what it says in their contracts. So it could
be in your contract that you may have to work
public holidays, you may have to work Christmas, doesn't matter.
(10:51):
You have to be asked to consent before you're rostered
on for these public holidays. When was that put in
twenty twenty three? Ah, And so it's still kind of
working its way through the different sectors.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
I'd like to think that the hard working human resource
team is keeping.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
Up well the changes.
Speaker 4 (11:13):
It's kind of good that they're not, though, because it's
made huge news because it was that company. Because it's
all the smaller companies that are like.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
What this is way of giving back by Roster by.
Speaker 4 (11:27):
Getting the information out there. We're looking to create noise
guards because this means like, this is hospitality, this is retail,
this is everything that comes under this new this newish ruling.
So in other words, look forward to nothing being open
on Christmas Day because who was actually saying yes, Roster me.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
On once upon a time that was the norm. Nothing
was open on.
Speaker 4 (11:48):
Christmas Day, And we're going back to it.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
Where am I going to go for Christmas lunch?
Speaker 4 (11:53):
Well, get the check it out.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
That sounds complicated.
