Speaker 1 (00:00):
Thank you for all the calls and messages yesterday. That
was a rather overwhelming response to a guest appearance we
had during our interview with Raiders and State of Origin
star Hudson Young. And because when a lot of us
were watching the game, if we weren't Gio great turnout,
freezing and raining a few of us watching on the TV.

(00:22):
And so the Green Machine got it done again a
massive second half against the Newcastle Knights. But the thing
that stole the show was across to the crowd with
about halfway through the second half, chance to push this out.

In the house, and Darth Raider, who's a fantastic and
famous supporter, was featured on the TV we think for
the first time up there. They kept talking about him too,

Way, I am your father, and so they were entertained
there and the Fox Sports commentary and we put the
call out, no Darth Raider, Darth Rader, do you listen

to the show?

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Give us a yell? And so we finally met Darth
Rader during the week, and then he came on the
show yesterday and I mentioned that's me, I love you know,
it's got a member of the family who knows what
you do for a living. But disregardless, my brother calling
in the middle of the shape, I'll put that on mute.

And so we said to him yesterday to just see,
you know, the number of people that have bought tickets
for the Grand Final from Canberra number one compared to
any of the other clubs. You must be one of them.
You're a huge fan. You're turning it in a Darth
Raider mask and you go the whole outfitter. And he said, listen,
I'm not able to do that. And a lot of
a lot of Canberra, you know, whether you rate a

support or not, wanted to come together and gave us
a call and said, hey, what can we do help
him now? He doesn't know anything about this, so we're
going to call him now. I mean, I think it's
appropriate that whenever you call Darth Raider, get his theme
music and I want to give him a yell here,
give him some good news. Phones ringing hello, is that

Darth Raider? That will be him? It's Roden Gabby from
him on I four point seven. How I am mate,
I'm very well. Hey, thank you again for joining us
yesterday on the show. It was really cool when Hudson
was in here, just to catch up on the journey
of your commitment and support for the Green Machine. You
mentioned something while we were chatting. I said, the most

number of any team to buy Grand Final tickets. You know,
this far out from the GF have been raided supporters. Yeah,
and you very humbly said listen, mate, on a pinch
and managing a disability. You know, I'm not splashing the
cash on.

The tickets at this stage.

And the Canberra community and us here in the studio
all thought the same thing at the one time, and
so fast forward. I want to give you the good news.
We've got tickets to the Grand Final for you and
a mate. No, mate, everyone thought the same thing at
the same time.

Help you out, get behind you, make sure you get
there because you're the biggest supporter of the Green Machine.

think it is important that if we need the force
in the dying stages of a GF, we have Darth
rated there. And by the way, a gentleman who has
business called on Point Carpentry and Maintenance. He was particularly
keen and he called. He said, how can I help out?
We said, listen, we've got the tickets for him. We're
all cool. He said, mate, I want to make sure

that you know, see me played up the road that
he's looked after. So on Point Carpentry and Maintenance are
going to make sure they've sort of the accommodation for
you as well. What yeah, so, oh my god, mate,
the camp we come together as a community, particularly if
we're going to win the minor premiership and have a
crack at this thing, and you're one of the great supporters,

we want you out there. Okay, oh wow, that's that's amazing.

Hopefully you go into the weekend feeling pretty good about
this Darth Righter out fit.

Mate, will you will you wear the helmet and you know,
the whole out there on the couch on what times
that game. It's one of those five o'clock games tomorrow afternoon.
