Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Super Serious Sports Show with Chris Carmen and Adam Jansen.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
But we do have an occasional series kind of vibe
developing about The Super Serious Sports Show lately because over
the past few weeks we've met a few of the
people who are involved in the Canberra Raiders NRLW side.
Adam Jansen. Right next to you is where Semi Rose
should be standing, but she's running fashionably late. Who is
standing right next to you right now?

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Sammy Rose does everything fashionable?

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Indeed she does.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
But we have Tara Reanky from the Canberra Raiders NRLW side.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
Hey, guys, thanks for having me.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Great to have you in. First things first, why is
the best thing in the world women's rugby league? And
why is playing for the Canberra Raiders a way of
making that even better?

Speaker 5 (00:44):
I think just so the minute is growing at a
rapid rate, so many women are getting into the sport
and it's just so cool. And the Camera Raiders, I
can't thank them enough for everything they've been doing for
the team and just supporting the women.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
So yeah, we have been calling the games right across
the course of the sea and every week I just
fall in love with it more and more. I was
excited like a five year old on Christmas morning on
the day of the first game. It got even bigger
when you had the first home game, and then when
on that winning streak, it just gets better and better.

(01:16):
And now here we are a couple of days out
from round nine with some qualifications. It's basically winning you
in the finals. This is Hollywood movie story stuff.

Speaker 5 (01:26):
Yeah, this is actually huge because we're the only team
that's entered the comp this year as a chance of
making the finals.

Speaker 4 (01:32):
Still, so yeah, win on the weekend and we should
be in.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
So really pumped that without going into the mathematics. How
much discussion has there been during the week so far
about what the team has to do to qualify for
the finals.

Speaker 4 (01:46):
Actually not that much yet. We're just confident that we
can get the win.

Speaker 5 (01:49):
So all we've been talking about is really just putting
our best footy out there on the field, and we
should make.

Speaker 4 (01:54):
It to the final with that.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
Now you got a scar, Yeah, please tell us how
you got a scar.

Speaker 5 (02:01):
So it was actually in training right before the girls
were supposed to go away for Origin camp and me
and Samima Talfa were on the same team in defense
and we came around and head clashed. So if you
would have noticed for the Origin game, Samima had her
head taped up.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
I do remember that, yes, because that was your head.

Speaker 5 (02:20):
Yeah, I split open her eye round, she split open
my forehead.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
So was it you that messed up Ali Brigginshaw's nose
as well?

Speaker 4 (02:27):
Yeah, that was my head.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
She's sure the enforcer, right, that is the actual definition
of enforcement.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
That's what a front row forward is meant to do.
So you you are doing your job taking out the
opposition players, taking out your own players, not just to
play the captain Chris.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
We have a bit of a joke that it's not
on Raiders in our all w game until we see
some blood coming out of some maama tawfa the first five. Yeah,
that is a that is a genuine thing. Is it's
not game on until Somemima's bleeding.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
No, that's exactly right.

Speaker 5 (02:57):
We actually have a joke that if she's not bleeding
in the first five, she's not working hard enough.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
We had in I'm actually going to say that to her.
I'm going to just go, look, look, we're five minutes
into the interview. You're not bleeding yet, You're not You're
not radioing hard enough. If you did that, if you
would she then crash.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
Tackle him into the wall.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
Maybe Okay, I'm down for this.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
AJ. We have to make this happen.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
I saw her up on stage at the rate of
presentation the other night. She is a fit, powerful human being.

Speaker 5 (03:30):
That is.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
I want none of that smoke. I do not want
to get tackled by Samima Taufer. Now, the front rowers
we've had, We've had Sophie Holman in before, we've had
and I know Elisa's a back roll but pretty close
to a front roller. We haven't had any of the
backs in yet. I asked Sophie the same question, but
is there a competition between the forwards and the backs,
Because Sophie basically said something along the lines, I thought, yeah,

(03:53):
we'd all the hard work first.

Speaker 5 (03:54):
Yeah, well, that's what coachoays says to us as well,
we do all the hard work in the middle to
make the backs look good on the outside. So and
we do get split up a fair bit in training
to be backs first forward, so there is a bit
of healthy competition.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
I think.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
Well, there's been quite a few injuries to backs during
the games so far. I know we've had a couple
of occasions where Mackenzie Wickies had to leave the field.
How close have you been to having to play in
the centers?

Speaker 5 (04:18):
Actually, in our first home game, I went on the
wing for the last two minutes because Shak had to
come off.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
I was on the bench, so they just threw me
on the wing for the last Do.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
You ever played on the wing before?

Speaker 5 (04:29):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (04:30):
I actually played in the backs before the forwards.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
So is it fun when you're a forward and you
go back to playing in the backs, even it is
for just two minutes, because you think, if I get
the ball, I could dead set just treat someone like
a speed bump.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (04:42):
Well, you like to brag that you've played in the
backs for the two minutes.

Speaker 4 (04:46):
You like to tell everyone that you could do it.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
Well. I've been keeping a track so far this year
of who has scored a try yeah, and who hasn't.
So we had a couple of first time try scorers
this season on the weekend, so I got her first. Yeah,
you're on a very short list now of players who
haven't scored yet. Is there any pressure, any discussion at
training around that?

Speaker 1 (05:07):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (05:08):
Well, you know we're talking about who's on the Nudie
run and who's not so that is.

Speaker 4 (05:12):
That's what we were yelling when got her first.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
She was another one.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
She's off the Nudi run, so few of us aren't safe.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
Yeah, so I'm trying to think of her. I know
Elie Smith's still on it, Happy Nichols is still on it.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Go with Appy. I've got to ask you. She's quick,
She's got a step Yep. There's been a couple of
occasions where she's had the line basically wide open in
front of her and then decides to give the ball
to somebody else.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
What's the go?

Speaker 5 (05:38):
There?

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Is there something not quite right over?

Speaker 3 (05:40):
I know she's a.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
Back, okay, and you can tell it by my build
these days, I'd be a forward Okay, I get it,
But she's a back. She's giving up the glamour. What's
the go?

Speaker 1 (05:49):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (05:49):
See, we joke that she's just too selfless. Sometimes she's
just got to take it and get some tries under
her belt.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
It's not just this season, it's across her career. But
she's scored five tries for their for the Kiwi Ferns. Now,
just tell us a little bit about your background. We're
also trying to get to know the players because obviously
first time that the Raiders team have been in the competition,
so a lot of new faces. I think it's roughly
about half the sided played in the NRLW before. You're
someone who's new to the competition. So what's your background,

(06:18):
where are you originally from and what did you play
when you were growing up.

Speaker 5 (06:22):
I'm from a place called Gaton, so it's like an
hour and a half west of Brisbane, so it's a
bit more country.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Is it darling Downs or is.

Speaker 5 (06:30):
It out in darling Down's area? Yeah, So growing up
I didn't actually playing team sports at all. Really, I
just did athletics interesting so athletics in cross country and yeah,
I only started playing footy in twenty twenty one.

Speaker 4 (06:44):
Wow, that was my first.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
Game footy in twenty twenty one and you're already playing
in the NRLW.

Speaker 4 (06:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
It's an incredible effort. So I know you've you're a
competitive power lifter as well.

Speaker 5 (06:54):
Yeah, so that's what I started in twenty seventeen after
I finished school, So I ran out of like dinner
a sport to play, so I just started hitting the
gym and then fell in love with powerlifting and did
that from twenty seventeen.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Explain for us what's the difference between powerlifting and weightlifting?
What's the difference.

Speaker 5 (07:10):
So it's like three different lifts. So powerlifting is a squat,
a bench and a deadlift, and then Olympic lifting is
just a snatch and a clean and jack.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Okay, and what kind of weights are we talking for you?
And I know there have been Australian records with t
Ryankey next to them, So what kind of weights are
we talking about for you? In when you're at prime
powerlifting conditions? I'm assuming you right now you're sort of
tapered for footy.

Speaker 4 (07:35):
Yeah, that's exactly right.

Speaker 5 (07:37):
Yeah, I'm not in my powerlifting prime at the minute
for sure. But yeah, so I compete in at under
sixty three kilos, so that's how much half the way
or I wish?

Speaker 2 (07:47):
Yeah, I'd love to be something close to under sixty
three killers Yeah.

Speaker 5 (07:52):
And then I squat one hundred and fifty seven, bench
ninety kilos and deadlift one hundred and ninety.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
One hundred and ninety. Yeah that's like me and him,
that's some serious weight.

Speaker 4 (08:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (08:08):
So that's what I like, what kind of got me
into footy then as well, because I figured if I'm strong,
that should help a little bit.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
So how did that journey start? How did you When
did you get the idea to take up footy?

Speaker 5 (08:20):
So I actually went to my friend's touch footy grand
final that was at our local football field, and we
had a couple of flavored waters, would you say that night?
And yeah, yeah, you know, a couple of those special ones,
and how they were trying to start a local team
because the women didn't have one, and we you know,

(08:43):
after those flavored waters, you get real confident, and we
were telling everyone it would be easy to play footy,
We'll be able to do it. So and then yeah,
the coach happened to be there that night and we
told him we joined.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
There are massive follow up questions that would have to
be asked at this point. How many friends were in
that in that discussion who wound up saying, oh, it'll
be easy to be good at footy.

Speaker 4 (09:03):
I think that's about five or six of us.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
Okay, you have obviously gone on to show the world
that it is easy to be good at footy because
you're good at footy. Of the other four or five
in that conversation, did any of them go and play
footy and were any of them good at it?

Speaker 5 (09:17):
Well, we all played for our local team that year
after we bragged we could, and at the minute most
of them are still playing for their but they're on
for their three peat for grand Final this weekend.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
Actually, so the team's gone all right now.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
So they're not bad and you're good at it, right,
we can go with that because you're in the NRLW
you know. I guess yeah, they're going to kill you
when they hear that. Probably that was me that said that,
not Tara.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
Sammy Rose has just wanted into the studio as she
does everything very fashionably, fashionably late on this occasion and
welcome Sammy.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
Thanks for having me. I'm very happy to be here again.
I apologies, but I was I was doing my other job. Guys.

Speaker 4 (09:58):
I'm a busy lady. I'm busy.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
You have so many jobs, you have so many.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
Well, for everybody else, she's a part of the Drive
show that Tara will also be joining just after their
five o'clock news today. For everybody else, we're pre recording
the show obviously as we always do. But now, Tara,
big game this weekend, YEP against the Titans. Do you
know much about this Titan side.

Speaker 5 (10:21):
Actually avest a fair few of the girls in the
BMD at the start of the year, so I'm familiar
with a lot of them.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
Yeah, because what's interesting is if the Dragons beat the
Broncos on Saturday, the result only matters the four and
against won't.

Speaker 5 (10:33):
Yeah, that's exactly right. We were actually joking, hope the
Dragons have their game of the season this weekend, that
would be helpful.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
Well, I'm a big fan of Teagan Berry. I watched
that game where she scored four tries against I can't
remember who it was against, but four tries in one
game was just incredible.

Speaker 5 (10:51):
Yeah, most of them were like full field tries as well.
She's got around everyone and gast them. That was a
good game for her.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
I dig that video out, show it too happy all right.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
Yeah, now the next question I wanted to ask you,
it's more of a personal one. We went lucky enough
to go to the Malmaninger presentation the other night and
you were there and I noticed you took your sister.

Speaker 4 (11:12):
Was that your little sister? Yeah, that was my little sister.

Speaker 5 (11:14):
So she flew down from Queensland on the Tuesday come
with and then yeah, just flew home on the Wednesday.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
I just thought that must have been such a special
moment for you to bring your sister along, you know,
to the inaugural NRLW presentation.

Speaker 4 (11:30):
Really was it really special? Yeah, it was. It was.

Speaker 5 (11:32):
And when I asked her, she wasn't too sure about
flying down just for it, And then she made the joke,
what if I never get to play nrl again, She'll never.

Speaker 3 (11:39):
Get to go. So speaking of so your your contract status,
So you're just on contract for this season or have
you got a deal for next year as well?

Speaker 4 (11:48):
Just for this season?

Speaker 3 (11:49):
When they when do they start discussing Is it at
the end of the season where they start discussing sort
of renewals and that sort of thing.

Speaker 5 (11:54):
Yeah, normally like that, but then the contract windows still
open up until May next year. Was kind of this year,
so you could sign up until the end of May
for this season.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
Has Camber been a good home for you?

Speaker 4 (12:08):
Yeah, I've actually really enjoyed it.

Speaker 5 (12:10):
I think that I like that it's more of a
country vibe because I'm from more out in the country,
so I don't think I could survive in Sydney or
something like that, just with all the people in traffic.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
And there's a few other country girls in the squad too,
isn't there so you could you know plenty of country
girls to get along with.

Speaker 4 (12:24):
Yeah, that's exactly right.

Speaker 5 (12:26):
It's more I think it's more country than city this team, definitely.

Speaker 3 (12:29):
So two questions. I like to ask, who's your funniest
teammate because we've got a very interesting response from Sophie
on this one.

Speaker 4 (12:37):
Funniest or the person that thinks they're the funniest.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
Let's let's explore.

Speaker 5 (12:46):
I was gonna say Sophie thinks she's the funniest love Yeah, no,
But who's the funniest? I think Mona Mona Lisa. She's
actually a cracker. Okay, everyone thinks she's really quiet, but
when you get to know her, she's just doing like
weird and dumb shit out at the bark and just

(13:06):
saying like funny things.

Speaker 3 (13:09):
For the record, Sophie actually said Sahara, oh, because she
just cracks her up so much. Now, who's the most
annoying teammate?

Speaker 4 (13:15):
Annoying? Oh, No, one's too annoying.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
That's good.

Speaker 5 (13:23):
The most annoying mite might have to be well, if
you're z, it's definitely Soph.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
We've heard that one of those one of those one
of those macas mic videos that we've seen on Facebook.

Speaker 5 (13:36):
Yeah, yeah, that's exactly right. But nobody's yeah that annoying.
Everyone's just good at pumping each other up. Probably Soph's
one of the loudest, so she could be countaders well.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
Speaking of so so SOA, it's one of your housemates,
along with Emma Barnes. How does that situation come together?
So obviously everybody is new to town, or for the
most part, everyone's new to town. Do you are they
people that you knew beforehand? Or is it basically everyone
just goes, okay, you're gonna you're gonna live with this person,
You're gonna live here, and that sort of thing. Well,
how does that work when you first become a part

(14:07):
of the team.

Speaker 5 (14:08):
Yeah, so basically, after you got your contract and everything signed,
we just got an email with our address and stuff
like that, and then like you could see just who
else was in the email. So that's how you knew
who your housemates were. Like, I didn't know I'd played
against Soph and m before, but I didn't actually know them.

Speaker 3 (14:25):
Oh that's wild. We're going through a thing here at
the moment's like a smaller version of that, where so
at the radio station there's a there's an awards ceremony
up in Sydney coming up in a month, and everybody
at the moment is trying to room with certain people,
so they and it's all that sort of stuff. But
you got you just got chucked in.

Speaker 4 (14:42):
Yeah, yeah, that was with like every house.

Speaker 5 (14:44):
They just got thrown in, Like a few people like
Zi and Chante obviously sisters, so they're together.

Speaker 3 (14:50):
Oh I would split them up. Yeah, no one fights
like sisters, they say.

Speaker 4 (14:55):

Speaker 5 (14:58):
But yeah, apart from that, you were just kind of
own in and met them when I got down here.

Speaker 3 (15:03):
So what happens at the end of the season. Do
you live in Queensland outside of the year, Do you
go back to your old job or are you still
doing your old job at the moment.

Speaker 5 (15:11):
So I'm going to go back to Queensland, Yeah, after
the season's over, and I work for my family's companies
and they'll be back harvesting on the farm, so I'll
jump back into a bit of farm work when I
get back home, so that'll be nice.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
What are your farm and what are your harvesting.

Speaker 4 (15:29):
Potatoes for Smith's chips.

Speaker 2 (15:31):
Actually so yeah, so it's possible that when we crack
over Vega Smiths that that potato could have had been
handled by Tara or.

Speaker 4 (15:39):
Of even touched it.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
Yeah, that sounds like hard Yaka does that count as
pre season training?

Speaker 5 (15:47):
Yeah, well it's even tougher when preseason starts a get
at the end of the year and I'm working twelve
hours before going to footage training.

Speaker 4 (15:54):
So now I want to know.

Speaker 1 (15:57):
Obviously you're from up north the warm weather, how have
you coped with the camera climate?

Speaker 5 (16:02):
I got to ask, Yeah, not that well to I'm
a bit of a cold frog. And we ran the
heater for three months straight, so we didn't turn it
off and.

Speaker 4 (16:11):
That was nice.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
Did you get a sponsorship from ACTUALAGL or something?

Speaker 3 (16:15):
We need it way because so spent some time in
quin Where's EMM Barns.

Speaker 4 (16:19):
From Queenszland as well?

Speaker 3 (16:20):
Oh oh yeah, yeah, you were in hating that now
throughout the season. So everybody in the top twenty four
squad has played a game this year. The only one
who didn't get to was Forlice Quinlan, who was injured
in the preseason. Yes, is there much competition for spots,
especially now that everybody has played at least a game.

(16:40):
So now that we're sort of the very much the
serious part of the season, potentially the last game of
the year, has there been much internal competition for a
spot on the team.

Speaker 5 (16:49):
Well, there's always internal competition, but it never gets in
the way of training or everyone's still like friends and everything.
But yeah, of course everyone's trying to work harder than
the person next them at training to make sure they
have that spot.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
So was it a thing from coach Darren Borthwick to
make sure that everyone got some time so that if
you got to And let's use this week as an example.
Hollymade Dodd's done an ACL.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
Yep, that was confirmed today, yep.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
So she's gone for the rest of the season. But
Alie Smith comes into her number twelve Jersey and has
had a couple of games at an RLW level, So
you're not bringing someone in week nine who hasn't played
at this level all season. But was that discussed or
did you have a feeling that that was going on.

Speaker 5 (17:34):
No, he never said it that was the case. He
said he was always trying to put out the team
you'd think would do the job. That week, but he said,
it's really nice that it just worked out that way.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
So, speaking of experience on the field, obviously, one of
her housemates is Sophie. Has it been handy having someone
who is so knowledgeable and has a bit more experience
in the game to live with, I mean, let alone
just at training and around the club.

Speaker 5 (17:59):
Yeah, I'll I'll ask her questions when we're just heating
up our dinners or anything after training if I didn't
understand something. So she's been actually really helpful for me,
especially because we play the same position, so.

Speaker 3 (18:09):
Be a lot friendly and than I would if I was,
like if I was living with some teammates and stuff
like you you dropped that ball that I passed and
all that sort of stuff, But I'd be a nightmare.
So you got you got Yeah, you got good people.

Speaker 4 (18:20):
Yeah the who got the good house?

Speaker 3 (18:23):
Chris Coleman.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
Yeah. Is it time?

Speaker 3 (18:25):
Is it time to play our favorite game?

Speaker 2 (18:26):
It is time to play our favorite game. I did
give I did give Tara a bit of a heads
up before, not much that this is this is the thing.
We get a guest in and we play this game.
Sometimes we play it amongst ourselves, but it's much more
fun with the guest. It is time for and I
still don't have the big fancy intro bit that I
want for it. Not getting one, he would have to
make it. We actually been him doing some work instead

(18:48):
of talking about going to awards sinnerm and he's in
Sydney anyway. The game is what is it? Or where
is it from? And it is as it says on
the pack, you have to take a stab at where
you're going to be able to answer what is it
about a particular sport or where is it from? Now?
The sports that are chosen here a could be a

(19:11):
loose definition of the word sport, but they are also
probably a little bit on the obscure side.

Speaker 4 (19:19):
Yeah, yeah, so sorry. I was like, probably old sports.
I've never heard of that.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
But at least Smith had heard of go Anna pulling yes,
and that's why we call her go Anna. So I
have three sports here, and I'll just sort of keep
sliding backwards and forwards and before before I fire one,
ain't you if you want to take a stab, which
way would you like to go? What is it? Or
where is it from?

Speaker 4 (19:43):
What is it?

Speaker 2 (19:44):
What is it? What is it? Okay, we'll go with
cycle ball. What is cycle ball now? Cycle ball was
invented in eighteen ninety three. The the Checks are the
best at it, and the Pospasil Brothers won twenty world
championships in cycle ball between nineteen sixty five and nineteen
eighty eight. But what is cycle ball?

Speaker 3 (20:07):
For the record, Tara, I don't know either, and judging
my look on Sammy's face, that's also a no okay
cycle ball.

Speaker 2 (20:14):
I reckon If you take a stab just from the name,
you'll go pretty close. You reckon, I reckon, I reckon.

Speaker 5 (20:23):
Cycle ball you cycle around the track and kick a
ball at the same time.

Speaker 3 (20:31):
Can I have a guess? Can I go?

Speaker 2 (20:33):
Let's open it up to the to the peanut gallery. Go.

Speaker 3 (20:35):
Do you cycle around the track and you've got to
bounce the beach ball around like it's like a big
inflatable ball.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
No, it's more like it's more like soccer played on bicycles.
So instead of foot, instead of football, it's cycle ball.
You can't you can't use your hands unless you're defending
the goal, and you've got to use your bike, your
body or your head to try and score goals.

Speaker 3 (20:56):
Do they plan a track or a course on a court?
On a court court is that caught close to the
hospital because it would need to be.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
It would need to be and teams of two. Hence
why the Prospicil brothers have managed to win twenty world
championships in twenty three years because there's only the two
of them on.

Speaker 3 (21:12):
So I reckon I have half a mark for that one.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
Yeah, okay, so we have to have two sports left.
Do you want to do you want to try? What
is it? Or do you want to try? Where is it?

Speaker 3 (21:19):
From?

Speaker 4 (21:20):
What is it?

Speaker 2 (21:21):
Have you heard of girning? Garning actually came up in
a conversation at my day job today, so I thought,
let's let's go with this one. It is one of
many obscure sports that originated in the United Kingdom. It's
a relatively simple, albeit obscure sport. Any idea what it

(21:42):
might be?

Speaker 4 (21:43):
Is it like you know how I use a gurney
to clean stuff off?

Speaker 2 (21:49):
It's it's all about making the ugliest face possible. As
I hold on a picture of a formal world girning champion,
So that is girning. It is an obscure sport from England.

Speaker 3 (21:59):
Do you Tara for the next one?

Speaker 5 (22:01):
Go?

Speaker 3 (22:01):
Where is it? From.

Speaker 4 (22:02):
Okay, what is it?

Speaker 2 (22:04):
Or where is it from? Where is it from? Okay,
We're going to try and find out where is it from?
We are talking about sport hocking. It is. It is
one of the more modern but obscure sports that come
from the world of park or you know park or
where they do the over the walls and up the
buildings and whatever. James Bond and Casino Royal's that I
think so well sport hocking. In competitive sport hockeing, you

(22:27):
must perform a series of acrobatic tricks and stunts while
retaining possession of a bar stool. Like I'll even show you.
I'll even show you a picture. There is a man
sport hockey.

Speaker 4 (22:42):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (22:43):
I find these all over the place.

Speaker 3 (22:44):
The internet is a deep dark place, Sammy.

Speaker 2 (22:46):
The joys of having been doing sport stuff since the
nineteen eighties is that you've heard about all kinds of
weird stuff. But the only thing you have to come
up with, Tara, is where did sport hocking originate? While
you're thinking instead of them thinking is I'll tell you
a little bit more about it.

Speaker 3 (23:02):
Now, just go for it.

Speaker 5 (23:03):
I'm going with We're on a clock here on a
clock an like Germany because they love their beer.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
Is a German ending ovation, Yes, and I think in
the history and what is it or where is it from?
That is the first time someone has come up with
a sport that.

Speaker 3 (23:20):
They had no idea.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
The country incredible in Germany in two thousand and seven
tricks get performed in succession. The movie is over when
you slam the stool on the floor. But if you
fall or fall in the trick, you must take your
seat on the stool to end your run. Tara, it's
been fad to talk to you. Thank you for being
a great sport. Good luck on Sunday.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
Now for our listeners at home to double Headed this
Sunday at Gio Stadium, so they'll be the Sharks and
the Eels prior to the Raiders match of the Raiders
taking on the Titans. Big thank you to Sammy Rose
for joining us today. She's had to vacate the studio
she's gone to join the show that you're also about
to be joining Double juty for you as well. But
good luck on the weekend. Are we We can't wait
to get out there and what you play.

Speaker 4 (24:02):
Thanks guys, thanks so much for having me amplify CB
