Speaker 2 (00:16):
App Got anything good?

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Hey, this is the Christian O'Connell show podcast. Now one
of the team. Something amazing happened yesterday. Luckily everything okay
before we hear the story, but quite an incredible story.
S J, who works on the show, was evacuated from
a train yesterday. Why don't you pick up the action here?

(00:42):
What happened? SJ?

Speaker 3 (00:43):
Oh, do you want to go and tell?

Speaker 1 (00:44):
He is the microphoneist. Hello, come in, s J. Yeah,
traffic control here.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
Look great. It's quite a thrilling story to tell now
because everything is okay, but at the time it was
really hectic. So I was catching the train and we
stopped at Dear Park station for a little while and
we're just kind of hanging out. The controller makes an announcement.
He says, sorry for the delay, folks, there's a little
signal fault issue. We're going to get you know, on
our way asap. So we're like, okay, no worries. Then

(01:12):
a few minutes later, the announcement comes on again. Sorry
to interrupt everybody. Yeah, you can't really get a handle
of this signal fault. Just a few more moments. Then
the third time he comes on, he kind of he's
got this monosyllabic kind of tone like it.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Not really monosalabic love it? Oh wow? Really Radio pro
doesn't like what she's hearing. Okay, but I've worked on
Hot Breakfast for ten years. Eddie wouldn't have done it
like that, you know, with an amateur here, Mono Salarbic.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Yeah, get your words together.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Absolutely. Is he going to use the PA you get
on the mic, you honor the tradition of Mike people. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
So, But hopefully I'm illustrating the point that he wasn't
very clear. He sounded a bit rattled.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
We'll have illustrated the point perfectly. I'm in no confusion,
are you Reo, I'm not at all. We're getting the
radio one I want to shape excellent.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
So he makes some sort of a bumbly announcement, but
it's unclear if we're supposed to stay on the train
or get off the train. Moments later, a policeman opens
the door forcibly and yells, get off the train. Everybody,
get off the train. We have no idea what's going on.
There's just like you know, people walking off the platform
out into the car park in the rain. There's a

(02:21):
young kid who looks very upset. He's been inconvenienced. He
is not happy, and he's mouthing.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Off, Oh, this is a watch some chicks waiting for me.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
Exactly. And he goes up to this police officer, what's
going on?

Speaker 1 (02:39):
Wow?

Speaker 3 (02:39):
And the police officer goes, mate, I'm very sorry for
the inconvenience. We think there's a bomb on the train,
and so.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
We're all like, what.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Exactly, very casual, yeah, and there's just like then we
start to notice like, oh, they're really making us walk
quite far away from the train.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
They think there's a form. I mean, you know that's
what you need to do. You've seen her looker's was happening.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
All of those movies where there's like a bomb on
a bus or a bomb on a train like going
through my mind. But I just got an uber and
I hop footed it out of there. I was just like,
I'm going to peace out of there. But I've looked
up to I don't think there's been anything that's confirmed.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
If only we had a newsreader, that would bloody great.
Bomber gone off. I would have said if.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
I reported on every bomb threat we had, it would
just dominate news. So clearly this morning patch and I
don't want to cause alarm in the community. If there
was nothing in it, that's why it is not in
the news. If it was fake in inverted commas, that's
why we don't on a need to know basis right, alarmist,

(03:48):
it's alarmist otherwise. But I'm glad you're say s j oh,
thank you.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
It was just very inconvenient and what a.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Story, right. This is why they couldn't have that movie
Speed in this country. You are less and Conny you
we are really starting to ship me up mate with
all this bomb talk. Okay, Dennis Hobbem would have got
away with it. He just made a big mistake doing
it on the La Freewek. Come here on the consume
