Speaker 1 (00:00):
Christ Yeah, welcome friends to the Christian O'Connell show podcast,
Who Saved? Who Did you Save? An Animal? Ordered an Animal?
Save You? Nine four one four one O four three. Christian,
I saved a sick blue heron one time, beautiful Bird
when it rehow to re released it. It came back
in the spring a year later, bringing a mate back

(00:22):
with it to see us. Oh, someone out of a movie, Rick,
that's lovely, Christian, I was listening to show earlier. I
work't now. You mentioned Darth Fader, and you know no
one ever saw him cleaning his mask. I do remember
that one of the movies you got to see the
back of his head and the helmet was off, and
I think he was sitting down. It appeared to be

(00:43):
on the toilet. Darth Vader's duney, Greg, I remember I
seen them a couple of titles. I've never seen him
sat on the bog coming out going. I'll give that
ten minutes. Actually, should I get the helmet on, Ludgie.
We don't need a helmet. You go in there. Christian.

(01:03):
Just want to let you know you're talking about Jack
and Rubik's cubes. Not many people will know this, however,
Rubik's cubes are solved by remembering a series of algorithms.
These are specific sets of movements that will solve the
cube every time. When you know where certain tiles are,
you use a specific algorithm and the cube progresses. The
Oh the hell, this was one of those late night

(01:25):
I can't get to sleep things. I just start doing those.
Just reading out this algorithm and sad waken people up,
my friends. Anyway, this guy can do it in under
twenty eight seconds. Boy, for him, sounds like someone's jealous him.
What a strong comeback, sir, That's what we're going to

(01:45):
call that week you what's a child bunny for him? Week?
All right? So who saved? Who did you say?

Speaker 2 (01:59):
That?

Speaker 1 (02:00):
All? Ninety four one four one oh four three for
your calls this morning, simone, good morning.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Good morning.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
I had to give CPR to my bearded dragon Loki.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Bloody hell, that's got a particular bit shorty with that
skin of that. It's that scainess.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
Yes, it wasn't fun, but it was panic stations. And yes,
we'd bathed her and she'd taken in too much water
and she started to turn black. So what do you
do you YouTuber to see what's going on? Because she
went all limp and her eyes glazed over.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Poor Loki.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
Yeah, and I was like, oh my god, what.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Do I do?

Speaker 3 (02:40):
So after a very quick YouTuber look, we found out
that if we started to do CPR on her and
we were opening her mouth to get the water out,
and yes, I had to turn her upside down.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
A pump her chip and he saved Loki's life to better, dragon.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Saved her life and it was touching, lough but you
tube saved her life along with myself.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Yes, it's a lovely story. We got to talking to
me about doing things incredibly quickly. I mean, you haven't
got and watched this on the adverts, haven't got time
for the YouTube advert. Loki is well, he's gone black.
I didn't know a dragon will change color when they're dying.
And that's one video that you can't afford. The preamble
of the guy going, now you want to save you

(03:23):
be the dragon. I'm going to teach you in five
to like and subscribe all my videos. Oh Simon, what
an amazing story though, And how is Loki now?

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Yeah, she's great, she's back to normal. It was very,
very scary, but trying to think under pressure, and I
thought the only thing I could do in YouTube to
make sure that was happening, and YouTube, yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Was the go and and tell me this now, no
more bathing Loki, no more baths.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
No more bars for Loki ever.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Ever, that's a new Loki rule number one, Simon, Thank
you very much, she called, I have a nice Christmas,
you too, Thank you, Anthony. No, it's anonymous. Oh sorry,
that's a funny way to spend it isn't italium way antumminos.
I'm as sorry, Anonymous. What do you want to be anonymous?

(04:18):
What are they married to an animal?

Speaker 4 (04:19):
Now?

Speaker 1 (04:20):
They just don't want to go public with it? Hello Anonymous?
Who've saved who?

Speaker 4 (04:25):
Good morning to him. My dog saved me from my marriage?

Speaker 1 (04:30):
Oh wow, what happened?

Speaker 4 (04:32):
So every time the dog is a rescue who has
helped me. A very very smart boy. So every time
my husband's phone would go off, he would bark. This
went on for months and months and months, and one
Sunday morning, it was very early and his phone is
going up. I was like, what the hell the dog
was going off? And I was like I'm a look
and a little like lo and behold he was dating

(04:54):
on me.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
No.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
Yeah, so it wasn't anyone else as far, and it
was just his. It was like that since we had
had him. Yeah, it's all very fast.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
You had to read all the messages between them.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
Yeah, that.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
Happened.

Speaker 4 (05:10):
Yeah, just horrible for you everything. I was really young
as well, like I took a big gamble and moved
into state for this man. And yeah, my dog saved me.
So I'm very thankful for a little a hell.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
Of a story to look back on. And is this recently?
How many years ago?

Speaker 4 (05:26):
This was probably two two years ago, so not that
long ago, No, not at all.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
And so how are you now? You found someone else?

Speaker 4 (05:35):
Yeah, yeah, I'm in a relationship now. The dog and
him get along very well.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
I think that's the first day, isn't it. It's with
the dog. It's with your dog. You don't even you
don't even get to meet anonymous. You go through me
and my friend. We've been on quite the journey. This
is what kind of dog? So it's a kelpie, A
beautiful kelpie.

Speaker 4 (05:54):
Yeah, he's beautiful. He's a beautiful black kelpie.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
Great, what's his name?

Speaker 4 (05:58):
Trumpers?

Speaker 1 (05:59):
We got someone's name? Are they? I got the dog's name? Well.
An amazing story, an incredible story, and I hope that
you and the new fellow are having a good time.

Speaker 4 (06:12):
Thanks Christing, Merry Christmas to you all.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
Yeah, and thanks for sharing the story with us. It's incredible,
incredible foot on story, but still an amazing one. Thank
you for sharing it today with us. Have a lovely
christ I have you too, well we Leah, good morning,
Good morning, Good morning, Leah. So who's saved? Two? Did
the animal save you? Or do you save the animal? Leah?

Speaker 2 (06:33):
No, Our dog had been stolen early in the early seventies.
About six weeks later, my parents are seen on the
news that red setter that had been found had pulled
a toddler out of a pool that had fallen in
antle three year old girl. My parents then contacted the
news station and said, you know, look, they're down missing dog.

(06:53):
Her named Susie, but she was brought up around our
kids in the pool, so they put her in contact
with her family that had got the dog. They were
on the other side of Melbourne from us at the time,
and our parents allowed him to keep the dog. We've
got a new dog in the meantime, But yeahs Susie
had bonded with this little girl that that that they
thought was astray, and yeah, she jumped in the porn

(07:14):
dragged her out of the poor we're three years old.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
Amazing, what I've got goosebumps? What a story.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Yeah, it was like we were only young when we
were sort of the west of Melbourne and the dog
was found far out in the north of Melbourne. But yeah,
they thought it was a stray put a no doubt.
But the kid bonded and they had a little girl
fell in the pool and Susie done their instinct, jumped
straight in and pulled her outside of barking.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Lassie that was hobo And then she was your mom
and dad see this on the news. They happened to
be watching.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Yeah, we were just sitting watching the nightly news and
she's like, oh my god, that is Susie.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
Is winning some sort of pendant award from the local man.
He stuffed bloody. Well, then they said listen keep her.
So was that hard? And you did? You didn't get
your dog back or you had a new one, a
new bond.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
We got a new dog in the main time. She's
been missing about six weeks.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
Oh yes, quick rebound and it didn't wait too long.
Wife exactly castaway? Is it if I ever go missing?
My wife isn't remarried after six weeks? Must have midle
of January she shacked up some new fellow and I
ran back, saved Todd her the poor This new guy
here one incredible story, one that one of the biggest

(08:34):
ones of the year. Thank you very much for sharing.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
This is why we had to go back down that
mind shaft and ask once more. He said, who said,
did you save an animal? Loted it saved you? I
go as far as I say, it's probably radio's most
powerful question you can ever ask you into a microphone.

(08:59):
