Speaker 1 (00:00):
Bag fir fly, okay, run rough came.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
The sequel. Will the sequel be as good as the original?
Super Bowl fifty nine has arrived. We've played our seventeen
regular season games. Wild Card weekend was a fizzer. Divisional
Round Weekend was amazing. The conference championships always deliver, particularly

(00:41):
the AFC Conference Championship game. We have a week off
to catch our breath, and now we go again. Super
Bowl fifty nine. The Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.
We've seen this movie Super lv II, super Bowl fifty

(01:03):
seven Philly and Kansas City. It was a cracking contest,
seventy three total points, a billion yards of offense, a
million highlights, and ultimately a Kansas City victory, the start
of their potential Chief Pete. Now two years later, we

(01:25):
arrive in the big easy New Orleans, New Orleans, as
they like to say, the locals with that Southern unique dialect.
And you may have heard some here on this pot
that Southern dialect. They chase oil down there, plenty of
cash in the ground beneath the sea. The Mardi Gras

(01:52):
it's held, and so too soon will super Bowl lax.
Super Bowl fifty nine the same two franchises, Philly in
their home green and Kansas City in the road Whites.
Looking back, the Eagles road graded their NFC East rival

(02:13):
Washington to take their place in Super Bowl fifty nine,
while so the Chiefs again took honors over the Buffalo
Bills to claim another AFC crown. If we go back
and have a look two years ago at the Super Bowl,
and I had a look at that match last night,

(02:36):
so much in the contest was similar, but so much
of it counts for nothing. Because even though plenty was similar,
same quarterbacks, same head coaches, same superstars in key positions,
a lot of the same coordinators, one thing was very,

(02:56):
very different. In Super Bowl fifty seven, Eagles had Miles Sanders,
Kenny gain Well, and Boston Scott at running back. In
that Super Bowl, those three running backs carried the ball
seventeen times between them for just forty five yards. Yes,
Jalen Hurts did he sing seventy yards and a hat

(03:18):
trick of touchdowns, but the punch from the running backs
were not there. We know this year's version will be
a little bit different. This year, the Eagles have a
running back who can clock up one hundred yards and
a score inside a half, inside a quarter. Saquon Barkley

(03:40):
is the new Coastar, so the sequel to the original
and we get a new coast Saquon Barkley. Now we
know Super Bowl A week really starts. So we've got
the week off where the teams are back in their
respective home cities just prepare going about their business quietly,

(04:02):
and then we know the teams travel Sunday. Monday, they
have Media Day and that's where things get a little crazy.
That's where media types run wild. They'll let anyone in.
And one man they let in was a man who
has probably hoped he would be on the receiving end

(04:24):
of questions, not asking questions. Famous Jamis Winston. He's going
to roll doing his thing for Fox Sports as a
digital media operator, and he was rolling around from booth
to booth asking questions, all type of questions of players

(04:48):
from the Chiefs and the Eagles, and he made his
way to Ossie Eagle Jordan my Lada and it was fantastic.
I'll play the whole lot. This is Jamis winz Ston
the interviewer and Jordan my Larder the interview.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
He made it. Where did you get.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
Why is your favorite color? From that was the bused
Australian that the early word you got right was color.
That was great, I'm on.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
My favorite color.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
I'd say, I don't have one color multiple. I heard
a Blackie Breen.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
You need to do exactly what you're doing now, so
you'd be on the sidebar you made them.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
No, I don't. I didn't say that.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
You asked me a.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
Question, he said, what do you think I would be doing?
Did you see TV twelve's contract. I figure you have
a good shot. Say I don't have enough.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
Sorry, I won't say anything about an accident, but I
know you were letters and a lot of my guys
that we know are common. Well thing for a great
thing to say about you bother kind of eat a
w what is that?

Speaker 2 (06:13):
Okay, where did you get this? Where did this come from?

Speaker 3 (06:18):
This we're sitting in the back pocket or someone handed
off to your's a safety eat safe to eat?

Speaker 2 (06:26):
It's you bother? So there you go. Hard to know
what's the money of that exchange. Hopefully you could hear
what Jamis was saying. He was pretending to put on well,
he was attempting to put on an Australian accent. Jordan
my Larder was giggling and giving him some harsh and

(06:47):
honest feedback and forth writh feedback about it, but it
was typical of what you see on a Super Bowl
media day. That's the way they get the week started,
and it just grows and grows and grows from there.
Let's get back to the contest. Let's get back to
this game. Let's get back to the New coastar. So

(07:10):
Saquon Barkley, his season has been mind blowing. We know
about the drama with the Giants letting him walk he
ends up at the Eagles, but what he's done on
the field, more than two four hundred rushing yards on
his way toward twenty touchdowns, he has been the league's

(07:33):
MVP outside of quarterbacks. In fact, you can mount the
argument including the quarterbacks, Saquon has been as valuable or
more valuable than anyone across the NFL. Simply put, if
you can keep Saquon quiet in this contest, which is
a hell of a lot easier said than done, you'll

(07:56):
probably win this football game. And we know kensa city
a chasing history three consecutive Super Bowl trophies, and whilst
many claim to be fatigued of their success. I'm here
for it. The Chiefs is still the Chiefs. In the
words of Annie Reid, how about the Chiefs. I love him.

(08:21):
Mahomes is a genius. He's morphed from a physical freak
show with his seventy yard bombs to Tyreek Hill and others.
He's unorthodox throwing motions. He's Dad Bod. He has turned
himself into a methodical surgeon. He gives the defense everything

(08:42):
it cannot handle. Travis Kelcey, we know, is a first
ballot Hall of Famer, hands down. He was a massive
individual weekend, one hundred plus yards in a touchdown. He
was kept quiet in the conference championship game. But he
gets that same set up. He gets the perfect setup

(09:03):
at thirty four, thirty five years of age. He gets
the week off to spend five six days recovering and
five six days practicing and preparing to be a factor.
And he'll be a factor. He will be a factor.
And we know Andy Reid with the extra preparation is
a sensation. He's as good as it gets in league history.

(09:27):
Coming off for buye coming off a longer week, you
might play Thursday and then you might not play till
the following Monday. We know he is a guru, one
of the best ever with the extra preparation, and that
is exactly what he gets here wrong, Stinger, How about
this one?

Speaker 1 (09:47):
You're with him, Tonfeir.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
We are playing in New Orleans, so a little bit
more Southern dialect is probably par for the course. Here's
why both teams will win, can win. Here's why Philly
can win. Saquon Barkley with a mix of Jalen Hurts.
So when you put these three things together, four things together,

(10:15):
you must respect aj Brown and Devonte Smith. You must
respect both guys. Even though the passing game has had
its problems. You must respect both guys. Both guys can
take the top off the defense. The offensive line is formidable,

(10:36):
Jordan maylarda Lane Johnson. They are big, they are powerful,
They are easily the heaviest offensive line in football. And
Saquon Barkley leads the league for yards before contact. So
what does that mean. That means the offensive line is
pushing back the defensive line and Barkley is getting four

(10:59):
and five and six yards before he's contacted by the defense.
That is all offensive line. Jalen Hurts and his ability
to do two things, to scramble and run the ball
where necessary, but to not turn the ball over. So
I think he had three turnovers in the first four

(11:21):
weeks and then only one pick for the rest of
the season. He'll just eat it, He'll just throw it away,
he'll just take the sack. He'll just go down, He'll
get his yards. He's not going to force it. He's
not going to try and throw the ball back through
the middle of the field. In fact, in the championship game,

(11:42):
he was zero from zero between the hashes. That is
quite extraordinary. And then you've got Barkley and what he's done.
I read the stats out. He will be a factor.
You've got Hurts with his ability to who make plays
on the ground and not turn it over. You've got

(12:03):
that beastly offensive line, you've got the receivers who demand respect,
and you've got Saquon Barkley, the MVP not named quarterback.
From top to bottom another reason why Philly can win.
From top to bottom, this roster is as good as
we've seen. They've got all pros on the offensive line,

(12:25):
they've got the number one ranked defense, a dual threat quarterback,
the league's best running back. They've got shutdowndown lockdown corners.
They've got the best dtackle in football, Jalen Carter. Do
we need to say anymore? This roster is stacked and

(12:45):
they've got revenge on their side. Now, you might not
buy into this, but it can't hurt. Never underestimate the
revenge factor, particularly for American sporting teams. They can feed
off that. They can feed off that. There are more
than enough reasons why Philly can win Super Bowl fifty nine.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
You're rien Innfee.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
Now here's why Kansas City can win. This will be
a little bit more straightforward. They're playing their best football
of the season right now on both sides of the ball. Offensively,
they've never scored more points than they've scored over the
past three or four weeks. Forget about the bye week

(13:32):
against Denver where they didn't play anyone. Their offense is
as good as it's looked all season long. They're healthy,
they're chameleons. They are whatever the game needs them to be.
They can be a quick passing offense, they can be
a screen game offense. They can run the ball. We

(13:55):
know mahomes up Santy running the ball in the playoffs,
and they, let me simplify it even more, They've got
Patrick Mahomes and they've got Any Reid. And on defense,
they've got Steve Spagnolo, who is as good as it
gets at defensive coordinator, and the only reason he's not
a head coach is because he chooses to stay in

(14:18):
Kansas City. Philadelphia have the edge at every position except
the two most important positions, head coach and quarterback. So
you decide, you decide, am I gonna live in the
trenches where Philly should dominate. They've got the back, they've

(14:42):
got the receivers, they've got the defensive tackle, they've got
the corners, they've got the dual threat quarterback. Or are
you with Kansas City, who have got the generational greatest
I've ever seen quarterback, maybe the greatest we've ever seen.
Head coach, maybe the greatest we've ever seen defensive coordinator.

(15:10):
I'm not sure. I'm not sure. It is such a
tough game to pick, but I simply cannot go past
the Chiefs. I love coach Andy Reid. I love the
way he handles these guys. He's so in sync with
what they want to achieve and how they want to

(15:31):
go about it. He's opened the trick plays, he's opened
the players views, he's opened to change in the game plan.
And as great as he is, he may not even
be the premiere coach on the staff because Spagnolo is
a He is a master. He is a dead set master.

(15:56):
So I'm with the Chiefs. I'm with the Chiefs. I
think Kansas City can go back to back to back
for the first time ever and stake their claim as
the best team ever. Officially Kansas City twenty eight, Philadelphia
twenty seven.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
You're risen, indefe, show me.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
Money, tell anybody else, Here comes the money. Here we go,
money talk, Here comes the money, all right, I said
twenty eight twenty seven, which would mean this game goes overs.

(16:44):
I'm not as certain it will. I'm hopeful the game
is twenty eight twenty seven. But if you do think
about it from a betting perspective, both teams run the
ball a lot. Both teams are amazing at eating clock.
The totals forty eight and a half, which is a
low number when you think about the offensive fire power.

(17:09):
But if you've got the guts, if you don't want
to watch it in a way that's going to be painful,
you won't bet the under, but if you want to
make money, the under is probably the sharpest side. Now
let's get into some of my favorites. I've got some
best bets. I've got a couple of novelties, and I'll

(17:30):
give you a sports bet same game multi Kansas City
minus one. I'll take that. I'm with the Chiefs, so
I'll take the minus one and a half. About the Chiefs.
My chief code though, is Patrick Mahomes for MVP. If
you like the Chiefs, I'd probably just take Mahomes to

(17:51):
win MVP as my Chiefs to win bet, because there
is barely a world where the Chiefs win and Mahomes
is not the MVP. There is barely a world. And
I'll take you back to the Patriots Falcons Super Bowl
where James White went bananas two hundred plus total yards,

(18:13):
a hat trick of touchdowns, no MVP. Tom Brady wins MVP,
did throw a pick six in that game. So if
James White's not going to win MVP in that type
of scenario, who is. I know, Cooper Cup one MVP
with less than one hundred yards in that match. But

(18:35):
there's barely a world where Mahomes does not win MVP
if the Chiefs win the Super Bowl. He loves to
run the ball in the playoffs, in big moments, he
runs the rock. Now, Philly don't play with a spy. Now,
this is a bit technical, but a spy on defense
is a defensive player assigned to the quarterback. So teams

(18:58):
will play a spy again against Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen,
cam Newton when he was playing just two. Have someone there.
If the quarterback tucks the ball and decides to run,
that player on defense is responsible for taking away those yards.
The Eagles typically don't do that and have not done

(19:20):
that to Mahomes. But Mahomes carried the ball a lot
in the championship game, and I think he will again.
So for that reason, I'll take Mahomes anytime touchdown scorer.
It's north of five dollars, and I don't mind it.
I'll take isaf you Worthy plus five and a half

(19:42):
yards rushing. They really want to get this guy involved,
so some screen passes, some short stuff nice and early,
and we've seen him get involved in the run game.
Now the Eagles will be ready for it. But five
and a half yards for a speeds to like him
is not many. Travis Kelcey plus sixty and a half

(20:02):
receiving yards. Yes, he was quiet in the championship game,
but this is a pretty good matchup for Kelsey, and
he gets the extra week's rest, I think he'll be prominent.
I'll take Dallas got it the opposing tight end under
fifty two and a half yard of receiving yards. Look,

(20:22):
he had a big championship game, but Hurtz doesn't throw
the ball over the middle. The Chiefs are extremely disciplined
with the way they defend, and I don't think I
don't think that number should be so high for a
tight end who is a factor and has been a

(20:44):
good player, but he's no superstar. I'll take the under
Kareem Hunt plus six and a half receiving yards and
samajp Ryan plus six and a half receiving yards very niche.
You've got two of the three running backs in the
state able there for their over receiving yards. But the
Eagles are going to get pressure to Mahomes, and I

(21:05):
think the Chiefs will be planning for pressure and expecting pressure,
so some screen passes, some drop offs if they if
they bring five or they bring six and the Chiefs
have only got four or five to block with. Expect
the backs to start to leak out and Mahomes will
find them. It's basically one pass, one catch, and one

(21:29):
little run for Hunt and p Ryan. P Ryan was
on the field and was utilized to close it out
against the Bill. So it might be a painful watch,
it might be a sweat bet for both guys, but
on any given snap, these two guys can get it done.
So my best bets Kansas City minus one and a half,
Patrick Mahomes MVP Patrick Mahomes anytime touchdown that'll most likely

(21:53):
need to be a rushing touchdown. Xavie Worthy plus five
and a half receiving rushing yards, Travis cal plus sixty
and a half receiving yards, Dallas god Art under fifty
two and a half receiving yards, Kareem Hunt plus six
and a half receiving yards, and samajp Ryan plus six
and a half receiving yards. A couple of novelties. Two

(22:15):
for you, Gatorade. I'll stay out of the national anthem,
the Gatorade. My homework on this. I'm going with purple.
Now it's the favorite at two twenty five, and you
might think to yourself, Purple's favorite over orange, or yellow,
or even green, maybe even water. Purple is the favorite

(22:38):
because in Kansas City's past two super Bowl wins, the
delicious gatorade liquid inside the big orange drum was purple.
So someone powerful one of two things are at play here,
someone powerful Mahomes or Kelsey or Chris Jones d someone

(23:01):
powerful on Kansas City loves the grape gatorade. Or we
get a staff member who might be well aware that
the last two Super Bowls were one with purple gatorade,
And we might get someone thinking this is the good
luck charm. So I'm all in on the purple gatorade.

(23:24):
The grape gatorade. Two dollars twenty five. That'll do me.
And I do love, love love, Now this is a
novelty bet, but I really like it. I really really
like it. Harrison Butker plus one and a half made
field goals, So for those playing at home or new
to betting two or more field goals, Kansas City often

(23:45):
take the points over going for it on fourth and two,
fourth and three, fourth and four light we see other teams.
Andy Reid takes the points and so many times we
see matches where teams gone for it on fourth and short,
fourth and two, fourth and four and they haven't been

(24:06):
able to convert, and they've left three points on the table.
Andy Reider just takes the points because Philly are great
defensively in the red zone and Kansas City have not
been great offensively in the red zone. They're number twenty
two in the league for red zone efficiency. So let's
take Harrison Butker over one and a half made field

(24:26):
goals even early in the match. If the Chiefs drive
the ball down the field and they come up short
on third down, I think they'll just want to see
points on the scoreboard. So we might get one early
and then we might only need one more throughout the remainder.
So that's the way I'm playing super Bowl fifty nine.
All in all, it promises to be a magnificent clash.

(24:49):
Super Bowl fifty seven Kansas City Philly was that seventy
three points a victory to Kansas City that got the
whole being started. And at the end of the day,
as much as I love the roster construction for Philly
and I love the story around Jordan Malata, and they've

(25:11):
got playmakers all over the place, and Nick Sirianni deserves
a lot of credit and a lot of love. I
do not back and I do not bet against Patrick Mahomes.
I won't, I don't, I haven't. I didn't last year,
and I was correct everyone. I shouldn't say everyone. A

(25:33):
lot of people wanted to be with the Niners. Last
year's Super Bowl is very similar to this year's super Bowl.
The Niners worthy superior, the premier roster with the superstar
running back and the queries on whether the quarterback could
make you pay. And they had the receivers and they
had the guys on D but they didn't have Patrick

(25:56):
Mahomes and they didn't win. So I'll take my homes.
I'll take the man in. I was going to say,
red white wearing number fifteen, the Chiefs to go back
to back to back for the first time ever. Kansas
City twenty eight, Philadelphia twenty seven. Let me know what
you think. Get at me on the socials with your predictions.

(26:19):
On the gram at Josh Jenkins four on X at
Josh Jenkins twenty four. Not sure why they're different, should
probably make them the same number anyhow, No, Facebook, if
you see me, it's not me. I'm not on Facebook,
I'm on TikTok. Don't know the handle, so just get
at me on the Gram on x enjoy super Bowl Alix.

(26:40):
I'll be at Snandrew's Brewery for a little super Bowl party.
Hopefully you're out and about as well. Love to see
your photos, love to see your winning bets, don't want
to see your losing ones. Gamble responsibly, do all the
right things, but hey, Monday, she's not a workday, She's
super Bowl Day.
