Friends of mine have always come to me with their problems. Okay,
that's just the type of person that I am. I'm

came to me and I had to stop him.

You actually experience some problems and he's Matt really the

Speaker 4 (00:44):
Oh? Absolutely, he's the voice of reason. So I'm actually
I feel very privileged to be on the show this afternoon.

So what is your problem?

Speaker 4 (00:52):
So every year, my beautiful wife for April sho her
family do a secret center. Yep, but this year I
asked the question whether I can be not involved or
whether I have a choice to be involved, or it's
just mandatory because I'm married to her. That's my dilemma.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Your question is just do you have to do the

Speaker 4 (01:13):
I have to do it. I do it every year.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
I've had enough? Okay?

Speaker 2 (01:15):
Can I ask Ash? How does it normally unfold? What
time of the day do they say, now it's time
for secret Center?

Speaker 4 (01:23):
But it usually happens I would say after the food,
but before the sweet tree.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
So regardless of if you are involved in the secret Center,
you're there anyway. So you're not saying like, hey, I
don't want to go to the Christmas Like are you?
Are you all there anyway? You're just saying I just
don't want to contribute the present and I don't want
to get one.

Speaker 3 (01:40):

Speaker 4 (01:41):
I'm there, but I'm protesting, Maye, you are being.

Speaker 3 (01:44):

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Hang on, hang on, Brittany, just before you start attacking
our guests. What is the ballpark price that you have
to work within the budget for the gift?

Speaker 1 (01:54):

Look, it's usually one hundred dollars.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
What sorry, but what that means is you're buying one.
You're actually saving money. You don't have to buy ten
people's presents. You have by eight people's how many people
it is? It's Ash, You're already there. It's one day
a year. Just get involved, getting involved so the kids
can see it's all merry and happy. It's not a
big deal.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
It's all very awkward.

Speaker 3 (02:16):

I don't know. Look, I've always found Christmas very awkward.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
But no one knows it's you because it's a secret.

get to the Christmas Day, everyone already knows who has

I will be down the coast and if you would
like to spend the day with me and my family,
you're more than well and we will not.

Guys, it's once a year, Thank goodness, it's once a year.
Get involved. Put your little sander hat on. If you're
just being lazy, ash get a vouchhike.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
You can get them on not being lazy at all.
I'll have you know it that as a child we

Speaker 4 (03:19):
No, I'm very sending my ways. I have endured it
for fourteen long years now, and on this fifteenth year,
I would like to say I don't want to be involved,
but apparently I don't.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
Have a choice, and so your wife has said you're
in it.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
Yeah, the repercussions aren't worth the fight, I would say,
but I still I'm stubborn and I want to try
and stand my ground in some capacity.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
It's a fight you're not going to win. So I
pray for you as you stay strong.

I just think get involved. There's one day a year's
not a big deal.

to just like send him down the road, just see
