Speaker 1 (00:10):
I Heart podcasts.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Hear more Kiss podcast playlist and listen live on the
free iHeart app. It is time drum roll, ask Guncut.
We do this every week on our podcast Life on
Cut podcast. You guys call up with your biggest predicaments.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
The only difference is on the podcast. I feel like
you offer very good advice, very sound advice. Yeah, and
then Mattie j entered the chat. Look, sometimes I have
fun with it. I'll be honest.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
I don't think i've actually heard you give sound advice,
no offense, but sound advice. Since you've been on.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Here today is the beginning of sound advice, Matty Jay.
I just know that. So for people calling in, I'm
going to treat this very seriously.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Okay, Well, I can't wait to hear what you tell.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Beck.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
We have Beck on the line who's having some I
don't know if there issues are they?

Speaker 1 (00:59):
Beck?

Speaker 2 (00:59):
You some sort of a running with your partner and
your friend?

Speaker 1 (01:02):
What's going on?

Speaker 3 (01:04):
Hi, guys? Yes, So I recently introduced a new partner
to my friend group and I found out that she
has actually hooked up with him. They met on a
dating app and it was only once. But I just
wanted some advice. I don't know if that's a red
flag or not.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Well, can I just say you've come to the right place,
you hang on one of your friends hooked up with
your new partner?

Speaker 3 (01:24):
Yeah? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:26):
And can I just obviously this is you know, some
personal information. If you're not comfortable answering these questions, no
problem at all. Just let me know. Okay, when you
say hook up, are we saying a peck a pash'
like the horizontal tango? What have we done here?

Speaker 3 (01:42):
I know it was just a pash, but it does
make me a little bit uncomfortable.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
I come on, Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, I apologize for
that reaction. Was it just one date?

Speaker 3 (01:56):
Yes, it was just a one off thing.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
I think if they just made out and it's a
one off as before you even existed, I think it's fine.
But if it was more than that, it's still fine.
But it gets a bit more tricky.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Can I just clarify, have you all been in the
room together, has this happened or Okay? And did you
feel there was any chemistry lingering at all between the
two of them? Did you notice was anything picked up on?

Speaker 3 (02:23):
I mean, they've both reassured me there's nothing there, But
I feel.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Like that sounds guilty, thinking that's guilty. That's guilty right there.
I think if you're having to reinforce that, I think
they want to be together. Do you think that? Do
you think that they're serious?

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Do you think that you're serious with this guy?

Speaker 3 (02:39):
Yeah? Definitely.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Do you know what, I honestly think. I think everyone
out there has had a situation where one of the okay,
well everyone, britt, just just move your mic away for
a thing. Everyone's had a scenario where they've introduced a
partner and someone else in the friendship group has had
some level of connection. Have you done that? Have you

(03:04):
hooked up with your friends like past?

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Well?

Speaker 1 (03:06):
I have yet. Before a long, long time ago, before
I was married to my beautiful wife Laura, who it
was my soulmate, I was with one person and I
had previously been with their friend and it was it
was fine. It was a bit awkward to begin with,
but I think, yeah, I think it's a beautiful thing
being able to guy.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Should just let it go?

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Yeah, I think you don't have a choice.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
It's like, if you want to be with him and
you're not gonna you can't break up with your friend.
Because she hooked up with somebody before you even knew him,
and you can't break up with him for the same reason.
The only way this will go bad is if something
happens and you start to suspect something or not trusted,
or you're uncomfortable, or maybe they're like, hey, we're going
out to dinner to catch up.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Like there's a lot of red flags.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
But otherwise I think you need to like, have you
a little laugh about it and then move on. But
it shouldn't be something that's joked about all the time,
and it can't be brought up.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
And I just think make sure they're never in the
room together without your trust no one.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
But I would definitely be sussy if it was only
a kiss, because I'm I'm a bit susp that.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
Just have your wits about you, Okay, stay safe out there.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
Thanks, guys, You're welcome.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
I've never looked up with anyone that my friends have.
You haven't lived, Brittaney, Do you are the thrill of it?

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Actually, Matt, you don't know this, but.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
Oh maybe I have a guess.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
I went on a date with somebody and I was
talking to Laura about it, and then it came to
light that Laura was like, oh my god, Brittany, that
is the person that I was telling you about that
I dated for like six months. So I did go
on a date, but I didn't hook up with them.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
There you go, And why did you admit that when
the caller was gone? You may you put it all
on me. I want to look better than you. I know,
I know. I hope she's still listening. Oh she's long gone.
She's not taking any of your advice. That's very offensive.
Take that back. I'm taking it back. Take it back,
Take it back. Our show
