Speaker 1 (00:10):
Hi Heart podcasts, heem More Kiss podcast playlist and listen
live on the free iHeart app. Matt, I am so
excited about the guest that we have now. She's just
so loved by Australia. She's a singer, songwriter, an actress,
a TV personality. She has sold over eight million albums
globally since the age of fifteen, since the eight of fifteen,

(00:33):
and she really is Australia's sweetheart. I'm talking none of
that than Delta Goodroom.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Welcome to the show, Delta, Ah, thank you so kind.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Delta. I actually I have a connection with your husband
and I'm not sure if he's mentioned this.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
He has mentioned it.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Well, Oh You've just made Matt's day.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
I love you.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
Oh, Matti's great.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
We had multiple jobs together. We're at a venue called
the Gpo Nightclub and we also worked in a retail
shop when we were about eighteen together period.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
As which as I would love this little romance to
continue to take that off.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
He's not on the line right now and he's not here.
It's up again, that is so that's a Brittany.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Tails us. Hey, I do want to say firstly, I
feel like we're just twin flames. You got married in June.
I also got married in June this year. I want
to say a big congratulations. I actually had so many
things go wrong, and I've seen your wedding. I've seen
how spectacular it looked, how beautiful it looked. Did anything
go wrong at all? Because I feel like mine was
like one thing after another.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
I think there was like one or two kind of changes.
Of course, like much much earlier in planning, and that
was probably I think our major like redirections early on
prior to going to Malta was sort of our organizing things.
But I was pretty relaxed, like I knew my designer
for my dress way in advance. I think because of

(02:03):
work is always so heightened with coming up with things.
And I'm not going to lie it with pretty. It
was very very hot though in reception, and so we
had the right amount of like extravagance, but then you know,
it was, you know, sweaty and you're dancing a lot
of the heat and everyone's like, yes, everyone's so swear. Yeah,
it was just a little bit of that.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Well, it must be nice to have a perfect wedding ceremony.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Congratations Shelter, I have to say congratulations for the new
fragrance within this is your ninth.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Is it it's our eighth, Yes, it's it's the octave.
It's we're blown away at the support and the fact that,
like just so many people are continuing to be a
part of the Fragrance story and it's really amazing to
see people taking the fragrance the way they are and
I'm blown away at the support. You know, we've sold
even over more than a million bottles and when we're

(02:56):
really really grateful. How long does it take?

Speaker 3 (02:58):
I've always wanted to make a fragrance. Is it a
quick process?

Speaker 1 (03:01):
They're called a nose, aren't they?

Speaker 2 (03:02):
The nose? Well, it takes a little bit of time
because you do have to just keep like you might
like a couple of the notes, like a top notes,
and then you're like there's something in the base, or
there's a there's a richness when eating, or you do. Definitely,
it might take a second, but I mean we're an
extremely good team. I love my Chemist Warehouse team, and
we all work very hard together at getting the right

(03:23):
combination of of what it looks and feels. And yeah,
it's been an amazing partnership from day one.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
So do you get to like they'll give you a
like you've worked on a smell and it comes to you,
and then do you like clean the nose with coffee
beans or something, and then you have a sneaker and
like so.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Many samples that the entire office smells like a numorous
like they I don't think the team actually appreciate when
I do that to them because everybody is sprayed a
million different scents.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
Do you have a favorite non perfume related smell?

Speaker 2 (03:54):
I mean non perfume related. I mean atop we really
like at our house.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
Yours is a lot more refined. Mine was rain on
the Bitchumen road.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Oh oh, that's nice. That's very romantic. I mean that's
the fresh air of like oz is pretty incredible. Like
we were just in Hobut doing a show and you
get off the plane and you're like, wow, like starting
to rest so much water and it's just fresh air.
I mean, I can walk with you on that.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
Can you say, actually, I want to capture a bit
of Hobart in within Can you say, yeah, can Chemi's
warehouse do that?

Speaker 2 (04:22):
I believe they could do anything they put their mind too.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
Well, that's a number nine, isn't it.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
You can smell like, hey, Delta, are we going to
see some new music for you soon?

Speaker 3 (04:32):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (04:33):
I love that We've been on the road and then
this year we took time off. I mean we took
three months off, which is a massive you know, a
massive call. Literally, my heart is just so excited for
new music. I feel ready for it and I'm like,
you've bogged the next year for it, for sure?

Speaker 1 (04:49):
What are fantastic? If you congratulations on any absolutely everything,
getting married, the music, the fragrances. It's all feels like
it's happening for you. But anyone that wants is fragrance.
Make sure you get into Chemi's warehouse. It's called Within
and I had a sneaky smell of it.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
It is divine. Those at home, that's Laura, you're getting
up for Christmas.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
Thank you, Delda, thank you,
