Speaker 4 (00:35):
It don't matter where goes.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
This is the pickup.

Speaker 4 (00:39):
Hi, guys, Happy Friday. Brittany and Maddie j are closing
the week out for you. I just that was weird
to talk about myself on the third person.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
We tried something new, No it works. I was picking
up what you're putting down, Brittany. I am carrying an
injury right now and I'm almost forty shock horror. It's
a real pathetic injury.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
When you say almost forty literally like thirty nine. Are
you rounding yourself up?

Speaker 2 (01:03):
I'll be I'm thirty eight right now. Yeah, I'm rounding up. Yeah,
don't round up getting more and more gray every single morning.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
But you're injury.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
So it's my thumb. Okay, it's my thumb, and well
it's texts or gamers of thumb, and it is attendant
issue and the reason why this issue has occurred is
because I've been texting too much on my phone.

Speaker 4 (01:23):
Are you a double thumber?

Speaker 2 (01:25):
I'm a double thumber, two thumbs.

Speaker 4 (01:26):
I would rather strain across my phone with one hand.
I will text.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
This is why I have this growth on my pinkyving gus,
because my phone sits in it and I will text.

Speaker 4 (01:35):
And like, no, wonder I have it because I will
just use one hand like that.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
How have you fixed your thumb? Would you just live
with it? Is that part of life now.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
Something I'm just have to do with?

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Oh my god, it's painful.

Speaker 4 (01:45):
It's a real thing. This generation has hump neck technic.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
I mean no, no, we're talking. Got my attention.

Speaker 4 (01:51):
I definitely my husband lives overseas. I don't have a
hump pick, but technic and finger growth. The time has come.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
I have waited all week, many day for the big
reveal of the Halloween costumes.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
For your daughters Maley and Lola Derby to.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Say that it's sometimes it's really hard to keep kids happy.
At times they're very ungrateful. Doesn't matter how good the
gift is, how amazing the experience might be, You're just
never going to get a smile on their face.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
I want you to know that this is not you're
not setting me up. So we had to pick a
child each.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
I got Lola, Matt got Miley May and we had
to make them their costumes.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
Now, we didn't pick it.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
They chose what they wanted and we just were the messenger.
We just had to go and make it happen.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
That's right.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
I got the witch.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
I tried to jazz it up, but Lola wanted a
straighty one eighty witch.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
I've been very nervous about her reaction.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Because I just thought maybe, even though it's what she wanted,
she's only four and she might see it and be
underwhelmed by a black witch costume.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
I think it's important to remember as well, Brittany, that
sometimes you don't have to overcomplicate things. You know, a
beautiful pasta dish. All it needs is a bit of oil,
a cherry tomato, and a chili. You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
I disagree add some prawns in I would.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
And then back you up here mate.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
After your feedback yesterday, I did go and get a
wand as well, so we will be adding the worm.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
We're calling the one the prawn of the dish.

Speaker 4 (03:16):
That's exactly right.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
Okay, right, people listening right now, be so confused.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
How did it go down?

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Okay, well, this is Lola's reaction to receiving the witch costume.

Speaker 4 (03:27):
Are you excited to see your costumes?

Speaker 5 (03:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Can I get a love it? I'm gonna be a witch.

Speaker 4 (03:45):
You Okay, Well, that could have been worse.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
She loved it. What do you mean gonna be so modest?
She was? She was, honestly, she she was thrilled.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
I have been on the other end of the wrath
of a four year old before, so I was put
my boundaries up. I know what they can do, and
it would have really.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Hurt my feelings if she was devote You can enjoy
the win, because I'll take it.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
You've done well. You've got a happy Lole.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
I'll take it.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
Doesn't get any better than this. Now, the boo boo,
the costume. We can all agree it was an absolute standout.
This is how Marley reacted.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Well, that's a little food rest.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
I love it.

Speaker 4 (04:31):
What's the mask like? It looks scary? I mean fair?
That was always going to be like that. You did
go above and beyond.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
It's very it has everything you want like, it's very colorful,
it's texture, it's fluffy, You've got some teeth in there.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
I've never heard someone critique at Halloween costume as good
as that. Thank you britt I did. Before I started feeling,
I was like, ma, you're gonna love this. Give me,
give me a lot, give me lots of energy.

Speaker 4 (04:56):
You can direct a child, right, Oh, I can.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Make him do anything except brush their teeth. But I
love it. So I just want to say thank you
to Spotlight and thank you Brittany for all of your
efforts this week.

Speaker 4 (05:07):
You no, I appreciate that it it was semi fun.
Look it's not.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
I'm not that creative anyway. Let's fast forward. It is
our last vouch from Spotlight for this week.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
We will be giving more away next week, but it
is going to Mandy. Mandy sending the cutest photo.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Now.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
This is this is her baby. It's not a real
life human child, but it is the.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Cutest little dog you've ever seen in a pumpkin dressed
up with a hat.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
Mat Loerhart go wrong with pumpkins and dog? They always
say that, They.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
Do say that.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
I think that was gandhy Okay, Well, Spotlight's home of
Halloween costumes, accessories, decorations, plus so much more to bring
your spectacular Halloween to life. As I said, we are
giving away five hundred dollars spotlight vouches every single day
next week. So just sending your pictures of your Halloween costumes.
Could be a little dog, could be you guys as
grown ups, or could be your kids.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
We want to see them. Send them into the pickup
and you will go in the chance to win.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
Matt, you've been prefacing this chat about this revelation you've
had about something that gets you going, well, very intrigued.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Brittany, I'll admit it. I'll be the first to say
that I am a very unique opera and there is
one thing in particular that I really enjoy more than
anything else. It gets me a bit hot under the collar.

Speaker 4 (06:17):
And just remember it's three pm.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
Yeah, of course this is all PG. Don't worry. If
you have kids in the car, they can keep listening.
They can join in in fact. But I would like
to know, brit you can think about this if there's
anything you enjoy that's a little bit obscure, a bit unique.
But for me, I ride around on my bike, okay,
and as I'm traveling throughout the neighborhood. I sometimes spot
on cars that are parked on the street, little notes

(06:42):
that have been written, the notes that have been written
by someone who was angry, disgruntled by the behavior of
the person parking the car.

Speaker 4 (06:50):
So not like a fine or something you don't care for.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Fine, sorry, how long we got No? I do like
I do like spotting fines, and that's also another hobby
of mine. But let's let's stay on track. I like
going onto these cars and picking out the notes and
reading them to find out reason behind the note, why
it was written, why it was left there. It's a mystery.

(07:14):
Every note is a little story that I want to uncover.

Speaker 4 (07:17):
What is as an unusual flex But what does it
do for you?

Speaker 1 (07:20):
Is it the satisfaction of like, hah, someone else has
done something wrong.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
I glide around on my bike.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
I just because sometimes if I look at the car
and I'm like, well, it seems to be parked quite well,
it's not covering a driveway, it's not parked too far
off the curb. For what reason could someone be unhappy?
So it's just not knowing.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
Are you ever getting like I know you cheated on
my with my partner notes, like is that ever happening?

Speaker 2 (07:43):
To be honest, most of it is just like you're
park too close to me and.

Speaker 4 (07:46):
It was hard to get out, Yeah, or like that
still does it for you?

Speaker 2 (07:50):
Yeah? I mean I if I got a note that
was like you cheated on me and I hate you.
Thanks for Russell, that would be the jackpot. That's what
I'm really hoping for. I haven't yet had it.

Speaker 4 (07:58):
But have you ever thought to take the note?

Speaker 1 (08:01):
No?

Speaker 2 (08:01):
I would never do that because that would be really inconsiderate.
But the thing that I worry about is that if
I take the note, then I put the note back,
and then someone comes to their car and they think
that I've left the note.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
That's maybe they find your DNA.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
Maybe it's maybe it's a thrill of being caught.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
Have you ever hid around the corner to wait and
watch the reaction of the person when they get back
and read the note.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
I'm a busy man. I got places to be on
my bike.

Speaker 4 (08:26):
I like to stop to read them notes on cards.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
Hey, I'll allow myself a few minutes, Okay, I don't
have all the time in the world. Laura's like it's
now eight o'clock, whether hell's my husband.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
I don't know if this is the angle that you
are asking for, but I'm just trying to think on
the spot, like what gets me going that probably shouldn't.

Speaker 4 (08:44):
It is an item of clothing, Okay, the humble turtleneck.
What a man in that turtleneck? Let me tell you.

Speaker 1 (08:56):
I know it seems counterintuitive because it covers a lot
of skin, but there is something about a turtleneck that
I am Yes, sir.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
Okay, well, how do you feel about people in a
neck brace? Because it's it's the same thing.

Speaker 4 (09:08):
It's very different.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
And then if they have a turtleneck and glasses signed
see to live it? I don't so sometimes I got
my husband ban he's a football player, doesn't do turtlenecks
as in soccer, but he was very fashionable, but a
bit like oversized jackets and stuff.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
I love how you like. He's a football player, so
he doesn't do turtlenecks, like no football do turtle necks.

Speaker 4 (09:32):
They're very I can't explain.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
They're very big, like oversized jackets and stuff. I don't
know if it's just what's what's cool for them. I
don't know, but I got him into turtlenecks. And then
when once I told him that glasses also do it
for me, he came back with some blue light glasses.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
That is weirdt Off reading notes. You cannot talk, produce
a grace anything that you enjoy.

Speaker 4 (09:54):
I really like if you're painting a house and you.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
And you know, when you're painting from a bucket and
there's just enough paint in the bucket to like cover
some of the walls and the sides, and you let
it dry just enough that you can.

Speaker 4 (10:10):
That's that's hot.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
That's heaven.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
Guys have problems.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
We're not even a weird superman kink the rock.

Speaker 4 (10:17):
Oh there's time for little wins.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
This is what we do thanks to Chemist Warehouse. You guys,
tell us your little win of the week, not the
big stuff. We don't care if you graduated. We want
to know if you found an extra chocolate bar on
the ground. That's the kind of stuffy want. I hope
that wasn't a wrapper.

Speaker 4 (10:35):
If you did, though, and if you chose to eat it.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
But we do have five hundred dollars Chemist ware House
about to give away to someone.

Speaker 4 (10:41):
Maddie Jay, have you had a little win this week?

Speaker 2 (10:43):
I did yesterday. I had a little win. And it
might not sound that impressive to some people, but to
me it was a big deal. It was quite a moment,
and it's one that I remember for a long time.
We had a leaking tap. Okay, it wasn't a big leak,
but it was enough just to be a bit of
an annoyance. And Laura said to me, do you want
to get a plumber? And I said, let me have
a little tinker with it. I didn't know what I
was doing. I toasted it right, touched a few bolts,

(11:07):
and the next thing, the leak stopped. What's that? I'm
such a man?

Speaker 4 (11:11):
All right?

Speaker 2 (11:11):
Have we got on the phone, Susan? What is your
little win?

Speaker 3 (11:15):
My little winter? This week is the emphasis of the year.
Sixth formal is coming, but daughter has no interest in
going shopping. Being able to get her out to a shop,
try on some dresses and actually walk out with address.
The next question from her was, okay, Mom, what car
am I going into the formal? So biggest win ever
to be able to get a tween to go shopping

(11:37):
try on app is to actually walk out with one.
The first stop he I love that.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
People always tell me when when my girls are older, like,
they're not going to be as affection as what they
are right now, they won't want to hang out with
you at all. So I sympathize with your congratulations, Susan James.
What is your little win for the week? Hey, guys, Well,
October in our household is just a month of birthdays.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
And in the last seven days, I've had no less
than seven birthdays to deal with.

Speaker 5 (12:06):
And one of them is my own.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
So yeah, it's just the amount of text messages and
WhatsApp chats and presents, and then you have the.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
Comeovers and the cake. So I've got through it, but
all be it a couple of kilos heavier.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
I have to ask James, of those seven birthdays that
you had in the month of October, how many did
you remember by yourself and how many were you prompted
by another person?

Speaker 1 (12:30):
Six of them had to be prompted about.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
Yeah, that's great, that's great.

Speaker 4 (12:34):
That's not great.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
It means you remember his r No, we don't know that,
do it. Anyway? We have Danny on the line. Danny,
what is your little bit of the week.

Speaker 5 (12:41):
Oh, my whim would have to be having all the
Christmas shopping done in October?

Speaker 4 (12:47):
What thats why? Yeah, that's that's extreme.

Speaker 5 (12:52):
Well, I take advantage of it, like anything that's marked
down throughout the year.

Speaker 4 (12:56):
Correct me if I'm wrong. It's not the big buck
Friday sales coming up. Did you just not jump a
bit too soon?

Speaker 1 (13:01):
No?

Speaker 5 (13:02):
I probably did. Aline and like clearance in January?

Speaker 4 (13:05):
Wow, Wow, you were good.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
Do you know the number of times I'm not proud
of it, The number of times I've gone out like.

Speaker 4 (13:10):
The day before or two days before to get a
last minute Christmas present. That's more than I would like
to admit.

Speaker 5 (13:16):
It's too crazy at the shops, like at the end
of the year. You don't want to be fighting over
like trying gets for the checkout.

Speaker 4 (13:23):
It's next day delivery.

Speaker 5 (13:25):
I'll look at that.

Speaker 4 (13:26):
Hey, Maddie Jay, you're.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
You're new to the show here still relatively so I'm
going to give you all the good stuff.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
What do you feel this week? Susan with the formal dress,
Danny with the Christmas shopping, or James with the October birthdays?
Oh god, it's really tricky.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
I'm going to set you up and you're going to
decide the five hundred dollars Camus Wows Little Winds voucher
this week goes.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
To hanging producer Grace. Can some help? Please? What are
you thinking?

Speaker 1 (13:50):
What are you?

Speaker 2 (13:50):
What are you leaning towards? I'm just I'm panicking. It's
really hard here, all.

Speaker 4 (13:55):
Right, we're giving it to Grace. Oh no, this is stressful.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
I'm leaning towards. I want to pick the formal dress
or the formal dress, A formal dress, Susan, you want
my girl?

Speaker 5 (14:12):
Oh my gosh, this is the week for her.

Speaker 4 (14:14):
You might be able to g some makeup from Chemi's
ware house.

Speaker 5 (14:17):
I just thought that this will be her makeup for
her four ball all those products you want.

Speaker 3 (14:24):
You've just made my week her week.

Speaker 5 (14:27):
Oh my gosh, you could be so thrilled. Thank you
Kevi's Warehouse.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
That is so nice.

Speaker 4 (14:35):
I hope she has the best time ever. Thank you
so much.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
Oh guys, rushing to Chemi's warehouse and save save one
of your favorite beauty, hair care and skin care products
shop instare or online.

Speaker 4 (14:45):
How nice is that?

Speaker 2 (14:46):
I've got tingles. I'm tingling from head to toe right now.
That was amazing.

Speaker 4 (14:51):
Hey, let's get out of here.
