Speaker 1 (00:10):
I heard podcasts he More Kiss podcast playlist and listen
live on the free iHeart app.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Matt.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
There's nothing I love more, Actually there is, but I
do love it. A bad, funny, unfortunate dating story and
I used to have so many of them when I
was on the market, and like I've really felt it
missing from my life since I got married.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
I love it. I live for it.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
I love living vicariously through other people who are single
having an awful time.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Well. I I was dating and in the online dating
world for about ten years, and I had some pretty solid,
like solid stories.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
You had a couple of doozies. I had some doozies.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
You were a magnet for the duds, if I can
say that politely.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
I was a magnet for a red flag.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
But I have some friends that are still deep in
the dating world, and the story I'm about to tell
you from the weekend, it was hard to believe, and
I just could not stop laughing. Hard to fathom that
this is what people in a dating world to do it.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
Because sometimes I do love my wife and I'll be
married to her forever, But sometimes I gosh, if I
did become a single, what would it be like?

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Out there.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
This is going to make you run back inside to
your wife as soon as you can. So let me
set the scene. My friend is online dating.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
She meets this guy.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
They talk for about two weeks, good chemistry's great, whatever.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
So they say, hey, let's go on a date. Yeah,
let's transition to the real life.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Went into the wild. Had a date great, Nah, not spectacular,
not bad, just like, Okay, it's enough to see if
there's another date.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
A week goes past, they go on.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Their second date, and there's not a lot of talking
in that week, but you know whatever, like, hey, how
was your week? Should we catch up again? Yes, they
go on a second date. Then my friend had a
pre planned trip overseas for two weeks to see some family,
so she had to overseas, and on the first day
that she went overseas, she got a message from him

(01:56):
that was like, hey, did you want to go on
a third date? How about my house for dinner? And
so this obviously means like, okay, come.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
On, come on, read between the lines.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Yeah, you know what it's going to be. So it's
like you've moved the dates in the wild to the home.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
There is no dinner at all, and.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
So my friend realized in this moment, She's like, Okay,
this doesn't excite me.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
It's not for me.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
I don't want to go down that track, so I'll
just can it good on her. So she just doesn't
write back. Now there's a couple of questions here, was
she in the wrong for not writing back after two dates?
And then how long do you wait to write back?
So she doesn't respond, She's like, I don't know him
that much. Was it was two dates?

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Whatever.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Then the two weeks goes past and she's coming home
and she feels bad. She's like, oh, I'm just better
than that, Like I should have said something. So she
messages him and she says, hey, I'm so sorry for
the slow reply. It's been two weeks. I feel bad,
but I was away with my family and joining the trip.
Thank you so much for the invitation, but it's I
just don't feel like the connections there, and you know,

(02:56):
I wish you well. Very lovely message, but two weeks late.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Can I be controversial?

Speaker 1 (02:59):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Yeah, yeah, I reckon two weeks it's you know, you're
opening up old wounds that have healed.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
I think I think she.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Just felt guilty and it was a really. She read
me the message.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
I was like, do you know what?

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Yes, you felt bad, you were busy with your family,
so I think it's a valid excuse. Two weeks goes past,
no response, Three weeks goes past no response from him,
four weeks goes.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Past no response.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
After one month of nothing, she gets a message from
him out of the blue and it comes through as
a voice note on WhatsApp. So, one month later, after
she sent a break up message to only two dates,
he responds, this is a forty year old man, mind you.
This is what he responded.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Hit me with it. I'm sorry.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Yes, I saw it on her phone and I am mortified.
I've got goosebumps. That was a forty year old man's
response one month later to her sending a.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Break up message. Is it bad that I love it?
What's his name? I'll hang out with him? You know
what's worse? It's WhatsApp, So he could see it was
delivered and read. He's like, job done. He was just
waiting for the right fart. He was like, not this one,
not this one.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
I wonder how many farts he has recorded in his
phone that he didn't actually say.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
And then he was like this is the mother load
this one. I'm just gobsmashed. I've just neverence.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
Imagine how butt hurt, punting, tended you must be to
I have sadd on that for a month.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
I mean it's brilliant, isn't it. I mean, kill you
all agree, right?

Speaker 1 (04:47):
This is who we're dating. This is where very well educated, established,
independent women. This is the response that they are getting
from forty year old grown men that are just devoed
that a woman doesn't want to go to the house.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
Like, it's not that offensive, is it? Sure?

Speaker 1 (05:04):
I said it was me up next.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
All right, let's get out of here.

Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
