The reason I mentioned that, right, it's because number one,
you've been over on this side pushing the buttons and
now I'm back. Yes, just getting ready for a couple
of weeks when you're going to be in the studio
by yourself, and it's just like, oh my god, we
need some seventies disco and I just grabbed it too late,
so I don't have it. Why do we need seventies disco?

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Renee?

Because we wanted to get in the mood to talk
about Collector's former Bushranger Nightclub, which was the place to be.
Apparently you and I didn't know about it. I'm going
to learn more about it now. It is now on
the market. But what is it now and what do
you get as part of the sale. Ben Lee is

Morning, Good morning, Cameron, Renee. How are you guys?

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Yeah, good, thanks so much for joining us. Tell us
about the history of this property and its place in
the community in the seventies. I wasn't born there.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
It's got a really interesting history. It was originally the
Bushranger Nightclub and it was attached door off to the
side of the Bushranger Hotel. So the story has it
that apparently they were piping beer and stuff across there.
It was home to the largest underlit glass dance floor
in the nineteen seventies in Australia apparently, but there's a
bit of mystery around where that dance floor is.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Today, okay, And so that's it was a nightclub with
the biggest underlglass dance floor, had the bar and everything,
all those things. What is it now and what are
you selling now?

Speaker 3 (01:26):
So at the moment it's the private residence. So one
side of the structure is a two bedroom home which
has been renovated with a lovely new kitchen, and it's
got a massive gallery space and then a huge undercover
garaging space for up to twenty four cars. So this
place is an absolute collector's dream. And when they bring

together their cars, their bike collection, all their toys have
them under the one roof on parf acre. The block
and the structure is actually over nine hundred square meters,
so if you think a block in Google, it would
be sort of two three times the size of a
blocking Google. The actual structure itself that there's so much potential, right.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
I bean, I've got my act together this side of
the desks now, so let me just do this and
we'll keep going, all right. So that would have been
back in the day at the Bushranger mid seventies. There
must be such great conversations that you've already had with
people in and around collector about the property.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
Correct, So it wasn't actually mid seventies. It was up
till I think nineteen seventy two when the drinking law
has changed with drinking on Sundays, right, and that made
a big difference to the clientele. So apparently it was
very popular for people in the area popping in, travelers
coming through drinking, having a bit of a dance. But
around nineteen seventy two that all changed.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Okay, well that's before this song theme, isn't it.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
It takes us there?

Speaker 3 (02:49):
Yeah yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
But to the conversations that you're having with people in
and around town, I mean they it must be awesome
to be doing that.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
Oh, it's really exciting and I can just see it
being someone's absolute dream property where they can bring all
their collectors everything together. You've got that bit of history
as well. It's into the town. Maybe someone wanting to
do something of a commercial nature, obviously subject to council approval,
but the zoning would allow for that. But there's just
so much potential and so much value there.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
Yeah, yeah, so good.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
So interesting.

When can people come have a look?

Speaker 3 (03:21):
So inspection is by appointment. You can either contact myself
or Harrison. That's on the listing. And it's really one
we don't want to aspen because we want to be
able to spend time pointing out all the features and
benefits to let people have time to soak it up
and just the atmosphere. It's just an absolutely amazing place.

Yeah, and again, if I had to act my act
together in so sort of nineteen seventy two and what
we could have been playing the doors or some status
quo like that would have been those would have been
the songs, mate, I enjoyed it.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
I could have been dancing. I could have been dancing
as we're talking.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
That's it. Well, a collector's dreaming collector, the best collect.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
Say that dreaming collector. That's what we thought was a
really good picture of this one.
