you missed the last episode.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
Basically, this is a brand new series we are bringing

but not exclusive to your twenties. We are talking about
navigating grief, friendships, relationships, moving into state. All of the
questions that we see in the community. We are bringing
them to you.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
We're the guinea pigs and we're bringing it to you.
You guys asked to have a segment with us and
chat about these relatable topics, so we're bringing them to you.
We've gone through them first, and we're bringing you all
of the tips. So we've gone through the hard stuff
so you don't have to. Honestly, we're such you welcome.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
So today we are talking all about drum roll please,
how to reinvent yourself.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
Yes, the rebrand, the.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
Life rebrand, because we have both done it. We moved
as you would have heard in our last episode. If
you didn't go and listen because it's great. Right now,
we have moved into State and basically completely changed our
whole change our whole life, reinvented ourselves, changed our name.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
We didn't change that it.
Speaker 1 (01:28):
We reinvented ourselves. We made a big change and now
we're just going to tell you all about how to
do it. It doesn't mean that you have to move into State. No,
sit back down.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
We get so many questions about you know, I don't
like this about my life, or I want to change,
I want to make this sleep or this transition.
Speaker 3 (01:46):
How do I do it?
Speaker 2 (01:48):
So, reinventing yourself can mean your identity, your beliefs, maybe
you know who you hang around with, your energy, your lifestyle,
your habits.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
It can really mean anything.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
It doesn't ev to mean completely moving away and literally
starting a whole new life, but it could be that.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
Yeah, it can be because we have done it.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
But let's start with why would you reinvent yourself?
Speaker 3 (02:11):
What is it sign?
Speaker 1 (02:12):
What are some tell tale signs that it's signed for
a rebrand? And it may come up every few months.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
Yeah, it's okay, it's I feel like you go through phases.
You definitely have phases where you're like, oh my god,
I want to be this powerful business owner. I'm going
to start this business. A few months later, you're like,
you know what, I just want to be free and
relaxed and have no stress and have a nine to
five job and just go to the beach in the evenings.
You will have phases, You're going to have different cravings
(02:40):
and yearnings in your life. God listen to them, got
to honor them. But on a general level, if you
feel like you're not happy with your lifestyle or how
you're operating, you will feel a bit restless, a bit
like something's not right, uninspired, I would say, by flat frustrated. Yeah,
I think it's also another tell tale sign is when
(03:03):
you are feeling too comfortable. If you were stuck inside
the comfort zone, you won't achieve anything from in the
comfort zone. It's all about leaning out discomfort change because
if you want something you haven't had before, you've got
to do something you haven't done before. So this is
all about how to navigate that period between where you
currently are and kind of the.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
Next stage of life.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
So that's why I said it can be every few months,
because if you move quickly in life, this is going
to be a process that you constantly go through if
you're constantly evolving in those sorts of things. But how
can we reinvent ourselves? How can we make ourselves different?
Speaker 2 (03:39):
For me personally, and it's different for everybody, my environment
is everything and it impacts me so much. So before
my little rebrand and move to the Gold Coast, I
was just feeling really flat in my environment, Like we said, uninspired.
I felt like I'm not supposed to be here, like
there's more, I need more. And it was almost like
(04:01):
making me quite angry because I was like, I'm not
supposed to be here. And you know, the universe, it
will send you signs, it will send you little nudges.
This coach that I used to work with, she told
me that there's this thing called a feather brick truck,
which basically means the universe will send you a sweet
little feather, It'll give you a little nudge, a little sign.
(04:23):
If you don't listen, it sends you a brick, which
is like a more intense sign that you'll have to
listen to. If you don't listen to that, it will
send you a truck, which is like derailing your whole life.
If you're supposed to be on a different path or
somewhere else. The universe will help you to move.
Speaker 3 (04:40):
I love that.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
It's almost like I love that quote that's been going
around recently that's the universe will never give you peace
in a place you're not meant to be.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
Yeah, you feel it, You'll feel it.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
And I think it's also if you kind of feel
in life like you're trying all the things and you're
doing all the things, but it's not fitting, it may
be time to reinvent yourself and maybe time for a rebrand,
to look at things in a different way, to change
your environments, to change through you around, to change your
habit's routines. Because if things just aren't falling into place,
it's probably a good telltale sign that place is not
(05:12):
the right fit for you.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
So for me, I knew my environment was wrong and
I was needed to be somewhere else, So I sought
out a move.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
I knew I wanted to be somewhere else.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
Spiritually, I had always felt really pulled to the Gold Coast.
I just kind of knew that was where I was
supposed to be. But I was telling Jamie, Jamia, Jamie.
For me, Jamie, I was telling Jigi earlier on that
I felt like I couldn't just get up and move,
like I couldn't just tell everybody that was my whole life. Hi, guys,
(05:44):
I'm going because I just want to be somewhere else,
and you all suck jokes, that's not what it was.
But I needed a reason, like an out, if you will.
So I manifested my boyfriend to get a job somewhere
else so that we had a reason to go.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
So for me, it was my environ.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
I knew I had to change because my home environment,
my lifestyle where I was going, it was just bringing
me no joy. It was making me feel really flat.
So I personally had to have a whole new environment.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
I mean, I was sort of similar, but I didn't
actually know that moving was what was going to be
the catalyst for my reinvention, if you will. I was
obviously offered an opportunity within R and C and moved
to the Gold Coast to take that opportunity up. Once
I got here, it was like all the things that
I had really been pushing for and striving for all
(06:34):
really fell into place, and I felt almost the true
deep happiness that I had been searching for because I
had then gotten really clear on who I was. I
had found really aligned people around tire, I had gotten
into a job that well, into a new role that
really lit me up, and all the things that I
had trying to figure out and trying to fall into
(06:57):
place came into place because I was in a brand
new environment. I had really changed everything. One of the
biggest things is if you're in the same daily routines,
the same habits, the same environments, it can be so
hard to change because you're doing the same things. You're
almost like allowing your brain to just keep seeking that
comfort because that's what's available to you. So even if
(07:19):
it's not necessarily changing the state that you're in. Is
there a new gym you can go to, Is there
new events you can go to? How can you switch
up your environment and create change so that that can
be the catalyst for you to not only find clarity,
but then create the change within yourself as well.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
Yeah, even like a fresh schedule, a fresh habit, like
get clear on how you want to feel. I suppose
that would be the first thing you would do, is Okay,
I want to feel really excited each morning, and I
want to wake up and move my body and feel
I can go to the ocean and feel, you know,
connect with myself. So then you would look at Okay,
where can I be? What can I change? How can
(07:56):
I make this my routine? So if it's not like
a full on move of environment, in your same environment,
how can you make small changes to still get that feeling.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
It's like when you're a little kid and you would
just redo your whole room and you feel like a
new person.
Speaker 3 (08:11):
Purple honestly.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
Please, three light purple and one dark purple, like a
bit of a feature that's really crazy, and purple carpet
and a purple girl purple carpet. Yeah, it's like the
big purple monster came and threw up in my room.
I had one of those don't do that fly net things,
you know, like around your bed, and I Skait NEETs
Insid an absolute queen with a purple worn and set.
Speaker 3 (08:38):
It is giving Royal.
Speaker 1 (08:45):
Number one was changing your environment, and now they're part
of reinventing yourself or navigating the pivot. Navigating the change
is do the action before you feel ready. If you
were waiting for a certain feeling or things to feel
into place, or you to feel ready, like when I
moved into State, I did not feel ready, but I
(09:08):
knew in my heart that this big change would lead
me where I was meant to go. I knew that
it was going to somehow make me grow as a person,
make change within my life, all of those things. But
if I had waited till I felt ready or it
didn't scare me, I would have never left. And that's
the thing, because you're doing something different to what you
(09:28):
had previously been doing, So it's never going to feel comfortable.
You're never going to feel ready, You're never going to
have all your ducks in a row. Just take the
action and figure it out within the discomfort.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
And something I told myself when I was moving was like,
what is the worst that can happen? Like in this situation,
even if you're you know, if you want to move
jobs or whatever it may be that's going to help
you reinvent yourself and have this new feeling, what's.
Speaker 3 (09:53):
The worst that could happen?
Speaker 1 (09:54):
For me?
Speaker 2 (09:55):
It was that I moved away and I didn't like it,
and I came back like, it's really not that bad.
And for you it might be that you know, you
go out of your comfort zone and try something new
or join a new gym, get a new job, whatever
it is, and you don't like it, and you can
always go back and change. You have the freedom and
flexibility to pivot and change your life at any moment.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
And giving yourself the permission to do that too, and
just being like, if it doesn't work out, But if
it doesn't work out, you have something anyway because you've
tried it and you know that's not for you, and
you would have grown as a person because every part
of discomfort comes with lesson many lessons.
Speaker 3 (10:29):
That's what I think.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
Like I'm biased because I've moved away from home, so
I think like I've learned a lot from it. I
think everybody should do it because I changed so much
as a person. I learned so much. I feel like
it just literally changed my whole life. I think that
doing these experiences, even if they don't work out exactly
how you picture them too, you will gain so much
from it as a person experiences it will help you
(10:53):
be closer to what you do want. So take that
scary step and leap because it can only bring good things.
Speaker 1 (11:00):
And if you are struggling to really sit in that feeling,
I think one of the best things. We actually have
a meditation about this in the Rise app where we
go into the feeling of the worst case scenario so
that you can sit in your body and be comfortable
with that if you are struggling to take the action,
so that whatever does happen, you've already kind of regulated
that within your body and normalized that within your body
(11:23):
so it doesn't feel as scary.
Speaker 3 (11:25):
Yeah. Yeah, that's a great idea. Give that one to listen.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
Probably another great thing to do is like if this
whole idea of a huge rebrand kind of fix you
out you're not ready, just like, grab a journal and
a pen and figure out how you want to feel,
who you want to be, what this next stage or
chapter looks like for you, and that will naturally just
progress you into what you want. Like if you're feeling
(11:50):
stuck or you're not sure and you want to change up,
and you just write down, I'm feeling a little bit
uninspired by my job, or I'm feeling a little bit
bored with where I'm living or whatever it is, like
all your answers will just come out and that will
guide you as to the shifts that you need to make.
Might even be something like you're blonde and you need
(12:11):
to completely just redie your hair brown and have a
whole different appearance because you're a bit bored. And then
from there you could have this whole different persona that
might come out and you feel more competent and sexy
and like doesn't have to be move away and change
a whole life, but just getting clear on how you
want to feel.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
Yeah, I think that's a big thing too, is people
get stuck in the action or reactivity within their own
life and they're waiting to find clarity without giving themselves
the time and space to really know what that looks
like and feels like for them. So they're like, Okay,
I need to change something, but they don't actually look
at what they need to change, and then they just
act and act and act, and then they're all of
(12:48):
a sudden in this new place where they're not even
happy with. So I think the first step is always
that clarity of Okay, who do I want to be,
who do I want to be hanging around with, what
friendships feel really good for me, what job would feel
really good for me? And be really clear on that,
because that gives you direction in which way to go
and if you don't have any clarity, you don't really
know where you're going.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
Yeah, And also I think it can be really helpful
to have a bit of an expander or an inspiration person,
Like it could be someone you follow online, it could
be you know, a celebrity or a friend, or anyone
that you know that's kind of done it before you
like hearing their story, using them as inspiration of you know,
a scary time that worked out or they moved and
their whole life changed or whatever it is to help
(13:30):
you like have a bit of faith, yeah, and say.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
And also expand your mind to what is possible, like
don't get stuck in having to live life a certain
way because that's what everyone else around you does. Like
you can literally go out and change your life and
write your own rules.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
Also another big thing, I feel like if you are
reinventing yourself, people around you will say things that will comment.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
You might get judgment.
Speaker 2 (13:55):
Like if you decide to one day all of a sudden,
become a Pilate's instructor and start an Instagram and being
Polarate's instructor, and then all your friends are like, oh
my god, Like, who do you think you are type
of thing. When you're staying true to yourself and when
you're taking these risks that other people are too scared
to do, you will cop judgment. You will have comments
(14:16):
because you're doing the scary thing that everyone else wants.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
To do but they're too scared to do. So you
will get people's fears projected all over here.
Speaker 1 (14:23):
Yeah, and like the only people that we all judge
you are people who are behind you or haven't done
the thing that they want to do, because they're just
judging what, yes, they want within themselves. Your best is
Gugi and Jamie. We would never judge, We would never
judge you. We're all for that. I think that's a
big thing, is people hold themselves back because of the
fear of other people's opinions. But I am actually way
(14:46):
more scared of getting to the end of my life
and not doing everything I possibly could to live my
absolute best life. Like that fear freaks me out way
more than anyone else's opinion, and it got me.
Speaker 3 (14:57):
It took me a while to actually get to that.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
I think actually moving and having to really lean into
myself and figure out what I wanted and creating, you know,
my dream life. That really showed me that, oh my gosh,
I have blocked my own success and my own happiness
for so long in fear of other people. And you
know what, everyone that's in my life has been so
(15:19):
supportive and so loving and given the best reaction, the
best response.
Speaker 3 (15:23):
And I was like, what was I so scared of
this whole time? You know?
Speaker 2 (15:27):
I feel like it's to feel the fear, Like you
need to do it and experience that to then realize that,
because in hindsight we can say that, but at the
time it is like, if you're going through that right now,
you can feel really scary, like you're saying life's too
short to you know, let Joe Smith's opinions of you,
like rule what you do? You know, like it's only
(15:48):
going to get you so far. You're going to have
massive regrets. Life is short.
Speaker 3 (15:52):
You're only going to be this young and hot once, Like,
go for it.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
Go and do it.
Speaker 1 (15:57):
I know, because I always think if I had this
confidence and almost being able to lean into the fear
five years ago, imagine what I would have achieved by now.
So you can't look at that in hindsight, but it's
a good reference to be like don't feel the fear. Now,
just do it because you looked back and be glad
you did.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
Who bloody cares like, just freaking do it. I think honestly,
if you send us in, I'm going to regret this.
Send us in your life situations where you want to
rebrin and you can't do it because you're scared, and
will bloody debunk it?
Speaker 3 (16:29):
Yeah, we do find a way.
Speaker 1 (16:31):
We'll come, we'll get over those limiting beliefs and we
will give you the high perth and support that you
need because we're your girls for that. Yeah, we should
make it sex possible. Yeah, let us know if you
want to make it, bring it in.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
I was going to say, there's no possible situation where
I would be like, no, don't do it. You know,
like every time I'm going to tell you to take
the leap and go for it. And if it's about
backing yourself, if it's about backing yourself confident, yeah, yeah,
like you know being worried that Joe Smith, might you
know think that you get do you think you're all
(17:06):
that or whatever it is, or you're worried you're.
Speaker 3 (17:08):
Going to fail?
Speaker 2 (17:08):
Oh sweetie, failing.
Speaker 3 (17:12):
Will judge you if you don't do nothing.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
Yeah, no, just joking, but listen and we we don't judge.
So there are top tips to reinventing yourself. And also
if you're feeling a little bit stuck or uninspired or unmotivated,
just change things up. There is no better feeling than
switching it up. Even sometimes if I like, be a
bit crazy and switch up my morning routine and walk
(17:35):
before the gym instead of after.
Speaker 2 (17:37):
Finding those different edges of yourself when you do something different,
like dying hair a different color, doing a whole different
date night, like randomly booking tickets to an event like
a networking event that you wouldn't usually go to. Just
try different things because you'll learn so much about yourself expansion.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
There is no downside of it.
Speaker 1 (17:58):
All right, we're going to wrap this episode up. Thank
you so much for listening and tuning in. Please remember
to come into our Rise community Facebook group d M
chat would let us know what you want us to
talk about.
Speaker 3 (18:11):
Because our wish is your commit here is our command.
We will see you in the next episode. Thanks for listening,
Thanks for listening.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
Bye,
