Speaker 1 (00:11):
So you're listening to a Muma Mia podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Mamma Mia acknowledges the traditional owners of land and borders
that this podcast is recorded on. From Mamma Mia. Welcome
to the Spill your daily pop culture Fixed. I'm Laura Broadney.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
And I'm cassee you lu kids.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
And coming up on the show today, two of our
favorite actresses have hot sexy new boyfriends. That's the headline.
I was trying to make it sound smarter or more
in depth. We've got a cultural critique. We don't. We've
just seen some hot sexy photos and we're going to
talk about how they came about. Plus, a very controversial
pop star is in more controversy again.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
I know I'm gonna, you know, give you guys the
scoop on this one. There's a lot to be said
for it. She's been I don't know why I'm being
so like KG about this. It's Jojo Sia.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Yeah, well, guys, how will you know who is talking
about it? You're going to read the show notes before
you listen.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
It's going to be in the podcast anyway.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
Jojo se was released a cover of Bettie Davison. We're
going to talk about it. There's a bit to go
into Yes.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Yes, and there's been some new developments as we were
recording the pod, so that's very exciting. But first of all,
I must talk about a very important news item that
crossed my desk today, and that is the fact that
Kesher who I just got to say, I freaking love Kesher.
I love so all her songs, bangers. I haven't seen
her live, I would love to. All the clips sten
of her live are amazing. I find her a really
interesting person, do you know.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
What I love?

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:35):
Like, literally, as soon as the P Diddy stuff came out,
she changed her song yeah from the morning feeling like
fuck pe did Yeah, she says fuck p did do
or something she did that straight away.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Yeah, she's on the right side of history or I
love that. So recently she went on Conan O'Brien's podcast,
which I quite enjoy. He has some really good guests
on Iodebris was a recent favor of mine. So it's
called Conan O'Brien needs a friend, and he does it
with the producer of his talk show and they have
a really cute relationship. But this one in particular I
found really interesting. So if you're not across Kesha's backstore.

(02:10):
She pretty much hasn't released any new music for over
ten years. She was in this huge litigation over the
rights to her music and the rights to her career,
and even the rights to her voice. She was also
in that big back and forth legal issue with doctor Luke.
She alleged that he had raped and sexually abused her.
He sued her for defamation. They settled after nearly a
decade of going back and forth in the courts. And

(02:32):
so at the moment now she's really out in the
world being able to perform and release new music for
the first time in ten years. And I found it
really cute her going on Conan O'Brien's podcast because he
starts off by saying, how from the moment she blew up,
she was always a guest on his show. She was
really loyal to no matter how busy she was, always
coming back to his show. They had a really great relationship.

(02:52):
And he talks about bumping in her on the street
when she was really in the height of her legal battles,
and he's like, I just saw you and I knew
needed a hug, and I gave you a hug. And
then he's like it's the first time I was ever papped.
But he's like, because paparazzi don't care about me, they
only care about Kesha, And those photos went everywhere, which
was quite cute. So it's a really nice interview. I
was listening to it being like, this is so cute.
I love hearing about her career where she's at her thoughts.

(03:14):
And then right at the end, Coder O'Brien asked her
what she does to relax, and she said she can't
really like bake or meditat or anything like that. Instead,
she likes to hunt down the supernatural, which led to
this little story coming out on the podcast.

Speaker 4 (03:27):
Okay, so I'm filming a show. I'm the exec producer
filming the camera. Man, I forget what the camera is
called where it's like in bred where you can see
body heat. And so then on camera holding the camera,
watch this thing like crawl up Jake and crawl into
the ceiling. And it happened so fast, and I was like, Jake,
there's the thing. And then that's how fast right? Filming

(03:47):
it exact same time, he like throws down a red
camera really expensive camera's like, oh my god, there's something
crawling on me, pulls his shirt up and there's three
scratch marks down his spine, and Chip Coffee comes over
and throws holy water on it, and then it heals.
And I'm like, what the.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Fuck is this? That's stunning? Do you have all that
on camera?

Speaker 4 (04:08):
Yes? What he cares that's the craziest part. Care And
I'm like, nobody cares about these ghosts they've found. You're welcome,
but I've found so many Okay thoughts, do you know what?

Speaker 3 (04:20):
I have watched these shows before, and I kind of
I don't know how I feel about ghosts.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
I don't know if they believe in them.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
I definitely believe in something, but I've ever experienced.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Anything like it.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
That's what Conan said, I love is it? Yeah? You
and ConA O'Brian the same person.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
I know.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
I love that. I love that.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
I do you know what? I take that as a
massive compliment.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Yeah, I think he's in it.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
That's I think he's very smart.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
But yeah, I just feel like I appreciate her experience
if that's what she's seeing. And sure, I know lots
of people who've had experiences with like the supernatural and
ghosts and things like that. Me personally, I haven't, but
it kind of makes me like her more.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
It really does. She always talks about her encounters with
a supernatural, but I just feel like people shove that
aside and just focus on her music, which is ridiculous
in this case. So she's had a TV show she
hunts down supernatural creatures, and she said because the show
didn't end up going ahead that now she just does
it in her own time and she goes to film it.
So she has talked about having sex with a ghost before.

(05:20):
I feel that she's she's in a stressful place at
the moment because she said she believes she's on her
last life cycle because she believes in reincarnation. So she's
in seeing a medicine woman to try and like get
her like soul ready for its last lap around the earth,
which I feel is just an extra bit of admin
to do.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
It reminds me of like Phoebe from Friends. I feel
like I always bring it back to Friends, but you're.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
Brand new, yeah yeah, which I feel that survived from
all of us. But Kesha Philer, she's on her last lap,
so she's also in her spare time now really kind
of leaning into the supernatural which is ghosts, and also
she does susquatch hunting, which I'm so jealous of because
I want to get into an outBut sasquatches is like
my side interest that I wish I could do a
podcast on.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
Mamma also known as bit of Big Football Foots. Yeah yeah,
so's yes.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
Nessy, Yeah yeah, okay, great love.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
I'm just saying some of those things haven't been disproven anyway.
So now Kesha's on this ghost hunting in her spare
time as she relaunches her music career, and that particular
clip was taken. She's saying it so matter of factly,
Like the thing about the woman is she has she
believes in the supernatural, but she has absolutely no fear.
So that video was taken in an abandoned insane asylum,
so already red flag. You wouldn't go in there. No

(06:32):
one goes in there because the locals are all terrified.
She went in there with her friends and now were filming,
and they were in there for ages. She was saying
this is in the build up of her showing that clip,
and she's like, nothing was coming out. We knew there
were ghosts there, we knew there were demons. There, that's
a wild cards like demons now enter the fray, and
so they started taunting the creatures to try and get
them to come out. And that's when she said in

(06:52):
that clip that that's when that demon ghost thing, because
she's not sure which one it was, attached itself to
that man and then left the scratches on his body.
And she's got it all on camera. And all I
want to say is Kesha, release the tapes. I want
to see the demon.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
I don't want to see the demon, but I mean touched.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
Yeah, okay, but I just think if you're going into
an asylum that's been abandoned for demons, like that's their turf,
it's like going into the ocean and being angry that
a shark bites you, going in there and being angry
that a demon crawls up your body and scratches all
about the demons.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
I don't like the demons. That's not nice or the ghosts.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
Yeah. Also, you wouldn't have sex with a ghost.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
I'm still confused.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
I'm married, so that's the only reason.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
Sorry, But how does it work? Is it penetration?

Speaker 2 (07:37):
I mean I haven't experienced it myself, but you know,
I'm still young this things could still happen for me.
I've still got time. From Kesha's sexual experience with a ghost,
the ghost came to her, they had a connection, so
it was consensual and she was into it, and then
they had like a sexual experience. She didn't sort of
say exactly which body parts went where, but she's it

(07:59):
was enjoyable. Apparently, maybe that's the next frontier of dating,
because I'm just gonna say the dating pool in Sydney
is not great. Anyway, It's a great podcast. We're so
god Kesh's back. She's making music, she's out in the world,
she's hunting ghosts and demons and her spare time. All
link the podcast in the show notes so you can
listen to it. And if you dated a ghosts, please
do let us know because that is kind of where
I'm at the moment.

Speaker 3 (08:21):
Okay, LB, In a move that has surprised absolutely no one,
Jojo See Why has pissed everyone off again with her
cover of Betty Davis.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
Eyes How They d Ben Day?

Speaker 1 (08:39):
Have you heard this cover?

Speaker 2 (08:41):
Yes, I saw the teaser clips, I saw the video
clip where she's all done the old Hollywood style, and
I have listened to the release on Spotify. Yeah, okay,
so I've given her my streams and my attention in
every different platform.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
Okay, So this was, you know, a cover of the
nineteen eighty one hit by Kim Khns. And as with
sort of everything that Jojo Siwa does, there's a lot
of really negative backlash around it. Now, there was an
initial response from Kim Khn's which was then deleted, but
just before we started recording, she made a statement to

(09:14):
TMZ and this is what she said in response to it,
And I think this is actually very very key.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
In the statement to TMZ, she says.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
When I first saw my original performance placed side by
side and then lay it on top of a new
version of Betty Davis Eye, I can only speak to
howard initially struck me. The phrasing, the tone, even the
little inflections, it all felt a bit too close. And
I think this is the key thing here. I think
what's bothering people is not necessarily the fact that she's

(09:44):
doing a cover because she doesn't have original music at
the moment. I think it's the fact that usually when
a cover is done successfully, it's done so when you
reimagine it, think about, like I don't know if you
saw the g flip Cruel Summer when she did the
cover of a Taylor Swift's Cruel Summer that was beautiful,
or like Royal auto Otis's cover of Linger the Cranery song,

(10:05):
those two are really good, or any of like the
likeer versions that the people have done in the pass
on Triple Day. That is, when you reinterpret it and
use your artistic ability to re imagine a song, whereas
Jojo hasn't done that.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
She's literally you can listen to them side by side.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
Even the raspiness in the voice is really jacked up
a lot in JoJo's version, which people find have found
a little bit frustrating.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
I think that's why people are so bothered by it.

Speaker 3 (10:33):
Because it's almost just like a copy rather than a reinterpretation.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Yeah, yeah, exactly, And I guess that's the whole thing is,
like artists always cover each other's song, but when they
do it live, it's often like a really kind of
stripped back acoustic version, or even like was I Gwnneth
Paltrow who covered this song many many years ago, Betty
Davis Eyes, I feel like that was like one of
my first introductions to it because I was a child
and I didn't have a good musical knowledge. But when
Gwyneth Paltrow would sing it in that movie Duets, or

(10:58):
when she got up on stage because she like toured
around that song, she was like her party tricks. She
would do it everywhere. But she had a bit of
a kind of a sweeter interpretation of it. She didn't
have that really intense raspiness. So I don't think anyone
jumped on her. But I think, yeah, I think with
Jojo Siewa, it maybe looks a bit like a copy
and paste. I can understand why she's done it, though,
because the whole kind of backstory to this song. I mean,

(11:20):
the last time we talked about Jojo Siewa was when
she was blowing up into world wide news because she
was on Celebrity Big Brother. She was in a relationship
with an Australian Kath Ebbs, and we watched that whole
thing unfold where she was in the house with Chris Hughes.
They had this intense flotation the whole way through. I
was one of the people who said it wouldn't work
in the real world. Well I was wrong. I mean,
we'll see, but like they really they're together. So she

(11:41):
broke up with kath at the after party, and then
she and Chris Hughes. They were photographed in the days
after Big Brother, but then she went back to America
and they weren't photographed together. Then holiday picks started coming
out of them. And this is where the song comes in,
because then Jojo went on a tour she Want to
Live tour, and in the tour, she would sing Betty
Davis Eyes, but she would switch out Betty Davis Eyes

(12:05):
for Chris Hughes's eyes. He was always in the audience
for a lot of these live shows, sitting next to
her mum, Jesslyn, and the fans would just lose their minds,
especially once it started. That clip of her saying Chris
Hughes's eyes started going a bit viral that everyone in
the audience was waiting for that moment. As soon as
she did it, they would scream, and so I understand

(12:26):
why she was like, this song's going viral. People love
my rendition of it. She did all these little teasers
of it online and then she kept sort of saying
like it's like she was like baiting her audience. She's like,
what do you want next. She's like, I've done this cover,
and then she's like, I've done the film clip. And
she released these teasers and then she kept saying should
I release it on Spotify? Should I release it? And
obviously she was going to release it all along, but
it was like building the hype, and so I do

(12:48):
think that she was thinking that there would be a
different reaction to it.

Speaker 3 (12:52):
I think that there's a clip of it that I
watched earlier today and it really makes me cringe because
everyone's like turning around and putting the cameras in his
face and he's just sitting there and he's like, Honestly,
that were me, I think I would crawl back into myself.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
Likes he's a reality star who he's on multiple reality shows.
I think he does like Jojo Siwa. I mean, you know,
if you listen to them, they're crazy in love, and
I'm sure they are, but I also think he alone
being crazy in love. He very much loves the attention
that she brings him. So that's why he was at
the concerts because he was like wanting to be photographed
by people.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
Yeah, I understand why she's done it, and I get that.
I get that she got that viral moment, and she
wanted to kind of replicate it and continue to release music. However,
because it is such a copy, it just feels inauthentic,
and it doesn't It feels like a karaoke recording rather

(13:51):
than a legitimate artistic expression.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
And I know that sounds a little bit wanky, but
you know, Kim went.

Speaker 3 (13:59):
On to say in the same statement to DMZ, I
believe artists have the right to speak openly about how
something makes them feel, especially when it's as personal as
your voice. These days, our voice is one of the
few things we truly own, so when it feels like
your voice is being borrowed, it strikes a deep personal chord.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
Yeah, and look, I definitely get that because she would
be watching all of this unfold and feeling that her
song's been disrespected. So I totally believe that. I also
feel for Jojo because I don't know, I've been watching
this woman now, I guess on screen since she was
a tiny, tiny child, because even though I don't watch
reality TV, I weirdly watched Dance Mums and she's so
cute and sweet on that and she just went through

(14:37):
such a terrible time and I think a lot of
people have also watched her over the years, and she
shares so much of her life online that you feel
like you know her personality. So I feel like she
would be very crushed by that. At the same time,
I feel like almost that's the price you pay for
the kind of performances that she does, because I know
that Jojo has like a hugely successful empire, but a

(14:58):
lot of that is built on her branding and her dancing,
and she's released a lot of music, but she's not
the type of artist who has a huge back catalog
of music that will keep her in the charts that
she can tour, especially as her fan is aging and changing.
And so that's why I think she did that whole
thing with Karma like it was. I mean, that song's fine,
it's like a cute pop song, but it was stunt

(15:19):
releasing like it was a stunt in terms of like
her big makeover, which she's completely not followed up on.
She's like the one girl who goes to a goth
party once and then just like wears her same pink
top the next day.

Speaker 1 (15:30):
I think the thing is as well with Karma.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
What happened is there was so much negative backlash around it,
particularly around.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
The dance which, yeah, it was just so viral.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
It was almost like she's she knows that there's going
to be this negative backlash on anything she does, so
she's like, why don't I just lean into it because
it doesn't seem I mean, I'm sure it bothers her.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
Yeah, I'm sure. I don't think she's chasing negative because
she had positive reinforcement her whole time being a child
and teen star, not from the people on Dance Moms,
but from her fans, Like her fans loved her like
you can't stress enough, we're not the right age demo
fab but you can't stress enough how much kids loved her,
Like I remember her going on the Kardashians, like all
the Kardashian kids were so obsessed with her and they
were so starstruck, And like Kim Kardashian was starstruck because

(16:16):
she was such a huge thing in America at the time.
But I think Karma was very stunt kind of pop
star act in terms of like she's a stunt performer,
she has to shock people a little bit, and because
she did that whole shocking release for that and then
it died down. She needed something else, and so it
was releasing this song that she knew people would either
obsess over because of the reaction to Chris or they

(16:36):
would be like, what the hell is she doing? Why
is she doing it like this? Like I think she
just needs that. I don't think it would end the
same with her. She just released a song kind of
like as herself and it was just a nice song,
Like she needs that stunt element to it.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
She needs to reach out to g flip because they're mates.
Well they were mates.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
Yeah, that's how she met, That's how she got So
she needs to reach out. I wonder if they're talking
though after that whole situation.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
Reach out to g flip, get some tips, yes on
how to do a cover?

Speaker 2 (17:04):
Yes, yes, because again I got a soft spot for
that girl. I have to say, even with everything else happened,
and I would just love her to just be able
to release a song in that cute, little raspy voice
without getting completely dragged over the coals in every corner
of the internet.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
Well, considering my voice is very raspy at the moment.

Speaker 4 (17:19):
Betty David Bernie days us it's.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
Like JoJo's in the room with us. I know, Okay,
I just want to preface this next segment. We're saying,
I know I'm a trash person. Okay, I know I'm
a trash person for bringing this up and for what
I'm about to say, But don't defend me.

Speaker 3 (17:36):
Okay, I won't defend what you was gonna say that
it's like positive what we're saying, but it's it's like
a bit sialacious, gonna be gossipy.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
No, I know, looking at paparazzi photos is wrong in
saying that. So new paparazzi photos, we won't reshare them,
so if your eyes come across them, that's on you.
On another platform, some new paparazzi photos have come out
of Reese with a spoon in a very luxurious looking spot.
She's on holiday. She's doing, you know, making the most
of the summer months on that side of the world.

(18:06):
She looks incredible and she is full on passionate making
out with her new boyfriend, Oliver Harmon. I love it.
So they're in Saint Tropez in France, out of a
beautiful luxury yacht.

Speaker 3 (18:20):
She's wearing white swimmers. It's all very they're all wet
and they're kissing and they're on boats. Yeah, it's very
Jeff Bezos coated exactly, and look jealous. That's all I'm
going to say on that.

Speaker 1 (18:31):
So, Hi, I want to be in a boat in
santra Pez.

Speaker 2 (18:33):
I know I wouldn't even care if I was making
out with a finance bro like she is. Anyway, Reese Witherspoon,
she's been linked to this man since October of last year,
but this is the first time they've really been seen
in this very passionate kissing situation. So she divorced Jim
Toff after many years of marriage. They share a son together,
and that didn't really make a lot of headlines, which

(18:54):
I'm glad because she so went through the ringer after
her divorce from Ryan Philippe just because of the fact
that they were in movies together and they were the
two hottest things in Hollywood at the time. So I
do love that she sort of had that divorce and
people talked about it, but people weren't attacking her that
I could see at least, and she wasn't getting bombarded
in an interview, has been asked about it. It's like
they actually could just separate and go their separate ways.

(19:16):
So everyone's loving these photos. And what's kind of interesting
about it is that I don't think that she'd call
the paparazzi or set it up or anything like that.
I don't feel like Reese with a Spoon is quite
that type of star.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
I've seen the photos. They're not.

Speaker 2 (19:30):
Well, this is how you can tell. That's important to
note which paparazzi photos are set up and which are not,
because I think they just knew they would get papped
and they were very happy to have that done. And
Reese with a Spoon lives in a lot of Hollywood hotspots.
She lives in like Brentwood in California. I don't know
if you've been there, but like you can go there
and do star spotting if you can kind of get
through the gates. Because there's like one supermarket all the

(19:51):
celebrities go to. There's like one beach area they will
go to, and Reese with a Spoon's always papped around there.
But it's just an understood thing that if you go
out there, you get papped. And the photos don't sell
that well because like how many photos of Reese with
a Spoon in like a white dress walking into a
shopping center, can you sell? So I think in this
area they knew they were being papped, they didn't care.
And I think it's a very old school Hollywood of them.

Speaker 1 (20:13):
To by old school. We need like two thousands.

Speaker 2 (20:16):
Yeah, yeah, our kind of old school like back in
the day where you didn't want to announce it via
a red carpet photo because that's that's a very big, bold,
intense statement to walk a red carpet together and post together.
It's very, very very public. Also, a lot of people
do like a social media hard launch now, but again
that is also not seen as kind of like the
cool girl, old school Hollywood thing to do. So the

(20:39):
thing to do is to kind of let yourself be
papped in a very exotic location and let the photos
go everywhere. So then you have the hard launch that
you wanted, but you are not sort of seen to
be pushing it or having a hand in it. So
we've seen this done before when celebrities want to announce
a relationship, particularly if there's been some drama behind it,

(20:59):
Because this is how let us not forget that Brad
Pitt and Angelina jolly announced their relationship. Remember that, because
they can't walk a red carpet together after the whole
Jennif Andison thing. They don't have social media, they couldn't
post to it. They didn't want to be pathed walking
the streets of la and in an uncontrolled environment, So
they invited one photographer to come to this little I
think it was in Cambodia, this little, very secluded beach

(21:21):
and take these really peaceful photos of them with her son, Maddox,
who was the only child they had at the time,
just wading around the water and they look very calm
and serene. And so that was the way they introed it.
And then recently we saw Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster
hard launched their relationship through very staged paparazzi photos which
again controlled environment them like walking slowly down the street

(21:42):
towards the camera. They're all dressed beautifully. They're posed so
different to the photos that came out about them, like
in the days that led up, so you can always
see if you look at them, which ones are staged
and which ones are not.

Speaker 3 (21:54):
So these particular photos, I'm trying to say this delicately,
I don't think they were staged because they are not
particularly fluttering.

Speaker 2 (22:02):
I know exactly what you mean. So this is the
thing between staged and set up. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (22:07):
And the reason and I say this is because I
know what a beautiful woman reads Witherspoon is. I also
know what perhaps do and they take. If it's not
a post one, they will choose the least flattering images
that they possibly can. Now what the tabloids have done
now is they don't say anything about the fact that
it's a bad image. Yeah, so you know our back

(22:29):
back in our like when we were growing up, it
was like ooh, belly.

Speaker 1 (22:33):
You know, they talk display. They don't do that anymore.

Speaker 3 (22:38):
They ignore it, but they know that people will look
at those images and make those negative comments about it
without them saying a word.

Speaker 2 (22:46):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
It's very calculated because you look at those photos and
you go, come on, guy, like one of the most
beautiful women in Hollywood, and those are the photos that
you sold.

Speaker 2 (22:56):
Yeah. The thing to look at is that you can
do a stage kiss. It's like how people practice kissing
for I guess like movie scenes, or even some people
do it for their weddings, where you have to put
your lips together but don't actually let them touch and
hold your faces together, because the thing, actual kiss thing
looks awful in pictures and on camera unless you do
it in a really staged way.

Speaker 3 (23:15):
Because So I did a guest spot on Home and
Away Love That for you a long time ago, and
my role was basically I was like the girlfriend of
this guy and I had to drive the car up,
we had to kiss, and then he got out of
the car and that was it. I just said bye,
like that was my spot. It was like a one
day shoot. I was an extra.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
I hope you got a looking on for that.

Speaker 3 (23:36):
I had to kiss him like probably thirty or forty
times throughout the day. At the beginning of the shoot,
the guy says to me, because the first kiss that
we did, I was I just did like a kiss.
And then as the day progressed, he was like, we
need to use tongue because it's more authentic.

Speaker 1 (23:50):
Oh, And I was like.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
Okay, intimacy coordinator in that situation.

Speaker 3 (23:55):
I know.

Speaker 1 (23:55):
So I just had to pash this guy for the
entire day.

Speaker 2 (23:59):
Sounds like he was just taking on a bit of
directing into his own hair.

Speaker 3 (24:01):
It was funny, like on reflection, I was like, I
didn't need to pash you yeah, but yes, so not
always a movie kiss, not always a movie hiss.

Speaker 2 (24:09):
No, well that's see what these photos is that like,
they don't look bad at all, but they are obviously
Like it's not like Reese I think was like telling
the camera where to be. What I think happened is
and this is what stars do, is that they've gone
to Saint Torpey, France the summer months, in a very
hot spot area. So you know you're going to be papped.
It's more so that you're like, I'm happy for our
relationship to be out in the world. I'm not going

(24:29):
to call the peraps. They'll find us and I don't
care if the world knows. And that's the photos we saw.
But yeah, I mean, the thing is, she looks very happy.
She's like they're making out to such an extreme that
I'm just very happy for he.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
Don't get me wrong. She looks so happy and I
love that for her.

Speaker 3 (24:44):
What I also love We've also got another like in
that same group. I would say, yea, yeah, Reese Witherspoon
is in the same group as this other stuff.

Speaker 2 (24:53):
Yeah, they're co stars. N they're both on the morning
show together.

Speaker 3 (24:56):
They are they are so Jennifer Aniston. I mean, we've
been obsessed with her love life for a very very
long time, and now we have some more information about
Jim Curtis, who is her new boyfriend.

Speaker 1 (25:09):
So he's hot.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
We yeah, but we just say that straight off the bat.
And again these are paparazzi photos, but it must be said.
It's a hot man.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
He's so hot.

Speaker 3 (25:18):
He's got this beautiful like salt and pepper beards on,
the great full head of hair.

Speaker 2 (25:22):
Yeah, he's on the pro petia.

Speaker 1 (25:25):
He's got the hair growing.

Speaker 2 (25:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
So he's a forty nine year old one in the
sexperg hypnotherapist, life coach. He used to be like on
the board at web MD.

Speaker 2 (25:34):
Yeah, he's he's had a rich professional life the moment
we delved into him.

Speaker 3 (25:38):
So yeah, Like he's a hypnotherapist, transportational coast and author.
So I love that she's in a relationship with this
guy as well. It's the same with Reeseese. This guy's
not in Hollywood, No.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
It's I think those of these ladies, like like they
know how to release information abo their relationship and they
also know what it's time to jump ship from dating
famous man. I know they're ahead of the curve.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
I kind of love our A listers.

Speaker 3 (25:59):
Classic A lists have been in the industry for a
very long time, both dated very very famous men and
and now like living their peace with men in tech
and then in hypnotherapy.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
Yeah, I mean the look that's the dream. I know.
Everyone's just like, oh, Jennifer Aniston, poor her, she needs
to find a man. But like, there is something exciting
when any kind of celebrity starts dating someone new. The
thing about Jim I did try and look into him
because I'm like, what's going on with this man? Like,
what's his motive? So he and Jennifer have followed each
other on social media, on Instagram in particular for many years.
She's been liking his posts for over the last year.

(26:33):
But he's all sort of in that Hollywood set. And
it should be said that Courtney Cox and Lisa Couldro
her friend's co stars also follow him, but a lot
of which is really cute when the friends start following.

Speaker 3 (26:43):
Do you know what my favorite thing is the people
who go on those deep dives and go and find
who they're following and if they if they unfollow them,
Like I love, yeah, the time that people have is amazing,
But yes, it must mean that they're mates, right.

Speaker 2 (26:56):
So I think he's been in that circle for a while. Well,
I think he's a wellness guru. He's hypnotists to the stars.
So the interesting thing is that Jennifer Andison over the
years has talked about using hypnotherapy for many things over
the years, and one of the things she used to
is that she says she has a very very intense
fear of flying, which for anyone is bad, but particularly
in her line of work, when you're having to jump

(27:18):
on the private jets and stuff, or flight at different locations,
all that sort of stuff, a fear of flying would
be not only like crippling, but also really affecting your.

Speaker 1 (27:26):
Works, like Travis Barker who didn't go for like twenty
years after.

Speaker 2 (27:31):
Well yeah, exactly after being in that crash. And so
Jennifers has said in the past that she turned hypnotherapy
and is the only thing that helped her. And so
people do think, like, is that a line to her
meeting Jim. So these paparazzi photos that came out, they're
very cute. Again, we're trash for looking at them, but
they're out in the world. Everywhere they're kissing, he's like
massaging her. They're like nuzzling each other. There's an all

(27:52):
the word to use it. They're all sort of couple's holiday,
which I think is even the biggest step up from
going on like a solo holiday and making out on
a yacht. So they're on a couple's holiday from what
we can see from the paparazzi photos with Jason Bateman,
who's one of Jennifer Anderson's long term friends, his wife,
and then Jennifer and Jim hanging out together in a foursome.

Speaker 1 (28:12):
I love that Jason Bateman is one of my favorites.

Speaker 2 (28:15):
And he likes Jim, so I feel like that's.

Speaker 1 (28:17):
A good sign.

Speaker 3 (28:18):
Because Jason Bateman is like a very sarcastic, like doesn't
like anyone.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
He's got that, you know.

Speaker 3 (28:23):
I don't know if you've ever listened to SmartLess, but
he's got that really like it's like he hates people.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
Oh great, he gives that energy off, but like in
a funny way. Well, I hope Jim's being on his
best behavior. Then I would say, Okay, I want this
to work for Jennifer, and I feel like she's a
really smart woman, and she overall, you know, knows what's
going on in the world. But I will just say
I looked into Jim and I did find a few
reddish reddish, Okay flags, they're going to give us some
real so much yeah, potentially, I say red or green. Well, yes,

(28:51):
you can play the game. Sure, Okay, we don't have
any props for this guy if you want to do this.
He's written quite a few books and he's got a website,
so he puts a lot of his life out there.
He's talked before about being in this very complicated relationship
with his past girlfriend. He called her Lucy so that
she was his Kryptoni and kind of in further, she
made him act in a bad way, caught up with

(29:14):
the ex girlfriend, blaming his behavior on her. Maybe there's
more to the story.

Speaker 3 (29:18):
Any guy that says they have a crazy ex girlfriend,
huge red flag.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
Next the bigger one. This is a big one. He
has a complicated relationship with his ex wife, which fair,
you've ended your marriage, that's fair. But he also has
a teenage son who he doesn't have a good relationship with.
And I believe it was in his book. I was
just like reading some of the excerpts in his book,
he was talking about his son having a bad relationship
with him and saying, but he lives with my wife

(29:43):
and he's really pissed off at me, And I just
I know family dynamics are complicated, and I don't want
to completely write this man off, but I do think
the biggest red flag for me is like when you
don't have a relationship with your child, because that's just
that's not an ex wife, it's also a child. Like
if they're pushing you away and they don't want to
be with you, you have to keep circling. Yeah, yeah,

(30:05):
well yeah, a teenage noer. But I guess like that
was written a while ago, say would be a young
adult now, but like it's up to you as the
parent to like keep says to me, who don't have children,
But I also haven't talked to my dad in twenty years,
so it's you know, swings aroundabout it's like you got
to think, it's like it's not the child's no, it's
not a child's responsibility. But putting that out into the
world of oh, mate, my son's just pissed me, lives
with his wife. And also it was giving me Brad

(30:26):
Pitt vibes, and also maybe like Tom Cruise vibes a
little bit. Maybe I'm projecting these famous men, but all
these famous men who are restrained from their children. And
then the public, not that these men are saying it,
but the public blames the ex wife and I'm like
just drawing a line from that.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
Over case, Let's give him the benefit of doubt for now.

Speaker 2 (30:44):
And also maybe he and his son a fine. Now.
He hasn't talked about him recently. He has talked about
this being on this holiday with Jennifer Addison. He hasn't
named her, but he has put up some instans and
things saying that he's having the best holiday of his
life and it's such a lovely time. I bet it's
the best holiday of his life with Jenniferran.

Speaker 1 (30:59):
Look, let's give him the benefit of doubt for now.

Speaker 3 (31:01):
But if you're listening, Jim Curtis, you'd be nice to Jen.

Speaker 1 (31:06):
She deserves it.
