On the show today, The White Lotus star Aimee Lou Wood was parodied on a recent episode of Saturday Night Live and she called out the performance as cruel and cheap. But what’s just as interesting is how another cast member’s behaviour has further fuelled rumours of a feud.

And Coachella kicked off this weekend, bringing together an assortment of our favourite celebrities and pop stars, and now we need to talk through the biggest moments and scandals. From two pop girlies with a difficult past reuniting on stage to the reason why Lady Gaga was accused of a bit of devil worship and the stars of our favourite TV show sharing a cute moment in the crowd, there are so many moments we need to discuss.

Plus, Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet were all set for a sexy weekend at Coachella (we saw the photos) but then Timothee brought along a questionable object that demanded our immediate attention.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
So much.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
You're listening to a Muma Mia podcast.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Mamma Mia acknowledges the traditional owners of land and borders
that this podcast is recorded on from Mama Mia. Welcome
to The Spill, your daily pop culture fix. I'm Laura Brodnick, and.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Today I'm joined by Causeen you look so.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Coming up on the show today, I feel like we've
been gifted a whole feast of celebrity antics and dramas
and clothing choices.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
You know, like the weekend of Coachella. After that, it's
always just a face for the eyes and the ears.
It's always a good time. We're doing a full Coachella wrap,
So we're going to have a gallery of images on
our Instagram that you can go through and make sure
that you see all of the looks that we're talking about.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Yes, so as we're going through and we're describing looks,
if you're just like, what the hell are these girls
talking about? Just open your Instagram and go to the
Spill podcast feed and all the images will be right
there so you can judge and awe along with us.
We need to talk about the acts that are getting
a lot of backlash. Satan is involved, that's fun little
cameo on the spill don't usually hear from him. We'll
also be talking about celebrity fashion and a few little

(01:20):
cast reunions that happened in the crowd. Lots to say there.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
But first, before we get into the really fun stuff
with Coachella, we just want to touch really quickly on
Amy Louwood's impression on SNL now if you haven't seen it. Basically,
SNL did a skit based on all these political candidates
in the White Lotus universe, the White Protus White out

(01:46):
of the drinking water's teeth.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
All right, watch that.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Look, gill it and eat it.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
No, not the.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Generally very funny I love me a little bit of SNL.
The problem came when they did a bit of an
impression of Amy lou Wood. Now amily would responded on
an Instagram story saying that this isn't funny and it's
kind of offensive. And I do tend to agree with her,
especially because a couple of weeks ago she was on

(02:24):
the Jonathan Ross talk show and she said, you know,
Americans are so obsessed with my teeth, and for the
first time in my whole life, it's actually been a
positive thing. So for then SNL to go back and
make fun of her for it seems a little bit
of a low blow. I feel like there's so many
other things you could have touched on rather than just

(02:45):
her teeth.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Yeah, exactly. It's kind of a hard one because the
person playing her was the only one who was sort
of more leaning towards making a joke at the actor
rather than all the political figures or like the characters
on the show, So everyone else you were either mocking
a political figure or a character. And then Amy lou
Wood is out here being mocked her teeth and jokes
about fluoride, and the actress was wearing like these big
prosthetic teeth at the same time. Though, it was interesting

(03:10):
that she said something, because it's kind of this like
unspoken thing in the entertainment industry that they're on'm coolest
or the most annoying thing you can do is not
take a joke with Saturday Night Life, Like that's the
whole vibe with it.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
I am so with you, and generally I think it's fine.
But I think mainly because she spoke about it a
few weeks prior, Yeah, talking about how she had been
ridiculed for that for her the majority of her life. Yeah,
and she's like, it's such a nice change of pace
to have people actually praising me for it and then
to then kind of go back on it. And I'm
sure maybe they didn't see the interview and maybe it

(03:43):
was an intentional and yes, I'm sure it is all
in good fun, but funnily enough. A few hours later,
Amy posted on her stories that SNL had reached out
to her and apologized.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Yeah, that's interesting. I wonder how that one about. Like
was it Lord Michael's himself getting on the phone. We
know he does sort of have back and forth with
celebrities himself, like when Taylor Swift asked him to pull
a skit from a previous episode, he was like, I
don't negotiate. Sorry, but he goes back to her directly.
Or was it the actress or was it the writers?
It was probably just you know, like maybe it was

(04:15):
like a group email sent through, because basically she was like,
I found it really hurtful. I thought it was cheap.
And even though she said she was like happy to
talk about her teeth when it first started, she was
getting a bit over it. I saw a red carpet
in her like towards the end when they were going
to do the finale, and she was like, I'm happy
people find my teeth to be something they can relate to.
But at the same time, she's like, I want to
talk about my character, not my nashes.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
It's also just like it's just a day, Like come on, guys,
come on, We've got more important things to talk about it.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Yeah, I actually thought the more interesting thing. I mean, look,
I watched SNL. You've just got to watch SNL thinking
that everyone who's being made a caricature of like you've
got to over heighten it. So it's like when a
sketch artist draws your picture, you know they're gonna like
pull out one characteristic and like really blow it out.
And I think that's what you're doing sketch comedy as well,
that you take one thing and blow it out. It's
just unfortunate the way it was done is that it

(05:05):
was kind of more hooked on her personally, and I
think it was fair enough that she said it. I
love that she wasn't sort of up in this whole
like oh no, like the cool girl thing is like
to just laugh along at the joke and say something
and I think it's nice that she got an apology
because I think like there's people that SNL do try
to take down. That was the whole point of the
skit with Donald Trump. But I don't think they were
trying to take down sweet Amy Loe Wood, who everyone's

(05:26):
obsessed with. What I more thought was interesting, you know
how this is whole thing that she's apparently in a
feud with her co star Walter Goggins, who played Rick
on the show, who was her love interest on the show. Yeah, yeah,
have you seen all that sort of stuff?

Speaker 2 (05:38):
Yes, I have seen all of that.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
It's been everywhere. I kind of don't want to choose
to think it's not true, but it's just been so
long now, and she addresses everything else on her Instagram,
so I feel like if it wasn't true, she would
have said something. But they've unfollowed each other on Instagram.
They were previously following each other. They have tagged other
cast members, they haven't tagged each other, and all their
White Lotus tributes, he didn't shop to the finale party.

(06:00):
They've written tributes their characters, but haven't really said anything
about each other. And then at the same time as
the sketch came out. Amy lou Wood said that she
was quite hurt and upset by it. Is Walter Goggins,
who was being parroted as well, said that it was
really funny and he liked it, although he's the same
kind of thing, but some people have taken that as
him doing an extra dig at her.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
We need to see some blind items on this, yes,
like where are the you know, behind the scenes, people
who know the story. Give me a blind item.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Yeah, we need some resolution to this, like I've moved
past the teeth in SNL. I just want to know
what's happening with these two Nana.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
Okay, So here we go Coachella twenty twenty five weekend,
one fashion music and some really incredible performances.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
Exactly.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
I would even say one hell of a performance.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Oh exactly. I love that devil worship Storyway. Have you
ever been to Kaitella?

Speaker 2 (06:52):
I have never been?

Speaker 1 (06:53):
Me neither, but sure do I have some opinions.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Did you know why I've never been because I actually
hate anywhere. I don't like festivals because all I think
about the whole time is how am I going to
get home? And they of like that many people and
like I just can't like, where am I going to
go to the toilet? How am I going to get home?
That's all I think about.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
You need to do Coachella like a celebrity where you
get driven into a private entrance and you get you know,
led around and you have a little cool off area.
I feel that's the way to do it.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
That's it. That's it. But Lady Gaga said now, I
thought it was incredible. She has brought back the theatrix
and the drama and the camp that we all love
Lady Gaga for. So the last time she performed at Coachella,
she was kind of in her Joanne stage where she was,
you know, in a pair of cut off jeans and
a hat and a little tea, and I love that

(07:39):
for her. She looked great. But the drama of Lady
Gaga seeing her in this performance like unbelievable. The internet
is going crazy for it. Basically most of the time,
it's that was the best performance at Coachella I've ever seen. Like,
she's incredible, She's back. Then there are some people who

(08:00):
are saying that it's deble worship.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
There's always a bit of negative feedback, and the devil
doesn't always get brought into it. But he's making a
cameo today. Watching that stream, I was just thinking the
same as everyone else's. You know, when she's wearing that
red dress and she's in front of that gothic style
backdrop and there's gargoyles and there's angels. But even just
if you stripped away all the set dressing and the
wild costumes and the lighting, like just her on stage,

(08:24):
she's such an incredible performer's I remember the first time
I saw her. Do you remember the Pussycat Dolls? Yeah, they
were real vibe when they toured Australia and Lady Gaga
opened for them, and I remember going to like this
little hall in Newcastle where they were playing, and Lady
Garga came out and she's like people knew her, but
not that much. People are still talking and milling around,
and I remember watching her just at the piano and

(08:45):
seeing I was like, this woman's a superstar. I don't
want to say I discovered Lady Gaga, but I feel
like I was.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Kind of sounds like you're Bradley Cooper, right, but.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
Also not know and so watching her on stage, I
think performing at Cotella this weekend people never went away
from like loving her, but I think a lot of
people fell back in love with her in a huge way.
And look, it's only a handful of comments that are
saying that she's performing a satanic ritual on stage in
front of everyone, and the kind of vibe was people

(09:12):
were saying, this is not art, this is not theater,
and it must end. So I don't think it's worth
getting too rolled up over like a handful of people
who were shouting the loudest and saying that they thought
the devil was going to be brought out like a
special guest. I more think it's just quite funny because
I feel like Lady Gaga would just love this, like
she would love people thinking that she was doing devil
worship well.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
Because it's part of her performance. And again, art is subjective,
we understand, and I understand that sometimes people may find
things a little on the nose, but it's her performance.
You know, if you find that offensive, you don't have
to watch it, you don't have to engage with it.
You can just leave her to do her art. I

(09:55):
thought it was remarkable. I mean, I think she's an
incredible performer and I'm always curious though with the Coachella,
do they do the exact same performance.

Speaker 1 (10:05):
I think so yeah. I think sometimes they like can
bring out a different guest star. So maybe next week
she'll bring out like or something. I don't know, but.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
Maybe she'll be all in white. Then she'll do like
a more angelic version.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
That would be very cool. I feel like also, like
you just saw the like the heaving crowd of people
in front of of most of them were celebrities, but
there was also heaps of her like little monster fans,
and they all had black roses that were throwing them
at her, and she went and grabbed them all and
took them on stage. And afterwards she was going through
the comments and replying to people who'd given her the flowers,
and they were like losing their minds. I think that
was very nice. Devil worship aside, now and she's coming here,

(10:38):
I'm just so excited to Australia.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
I actually, on my mom's group chat, I had like
people be like, does anyone go to Lettigago with me?

Speaker 1 (10:46):
But this is our moment, elder millennials, this is our
moment to shine. I hope she brings out the devil
there as well. So Charlie XCX was one of the
other big headliners for the first weekend. And even though
she didn't bring out Satan, which you know, the bar
is so high now anyone who brings out someone who's
not a setenant god about to you know, kill people
and something to hell feels like a let down. But
she brought out a whole bunch of people, including Billie

(11:07):
Eilish and Troy Sevann. But most exciting she brought out
Lord and they did a bit of a duet together.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
You know what I also love about this. We've got
Lord and Troy Syvonne, which are our homegrown heroes. Yes,
obviously Lord is Kiwi, but again we claim anybody in
Australia and New Zealand they are ours. And then obviously
Troy Savon, who is this amazing Aussie performer. And to
see them on the main stage in this incredible show

(11:35):
with Charlie XCX is incredible. You know, she basically played
her entire Brat album. You know, she plade like twelve
songs from her album and to bring out all of
these performers, it kind of really brings that Brat summer.
It's like the never ending Brat summer.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
Yeah, I feel like a lot of people if you
didn't get to see her tour, or you've just been
kind of living that Brat summer over the last year
or so, then it was kind of that moment to
relive all those memories and those songs. You see people doing,
the dancers in the crowd. What I also love about
anytime I see Charlie XCX and Lord on stage together
is just how a fresh it is when they've talked
about their relationship over the years, because it's not rivalry,

(12:14):
but it's more like they've spoken about this level of
professional jealousy they've had, which I just think is the
realest thing. And also you're more likely to have professional
jealousy over someone who's kind of at the same level
as you and that you like a lot because you
see them as a contemporary, not an enemy.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
I love that professional jealousy. Yes, do you know what,
I don't actually think jealousy is the worst thing in
the world. Like it sometimes it improves us, it makes
us want to do better, but it becomes like not
a negative thing. When you see them on stage together
like that, you know, it's like we are fighting each other,
but in a professional way. Yeah, and we can appreciate

(12:50):
each other's art and we're just gonna make each other
better by doing this.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
Yeah, exactly, because they both talked about the fact when
they're both coming up in the pop industry in different ways,
that they felt they were really grouped together and they
almost canceled each other out. So Charlie XIX has said, like,
you know, we're both like young pop girls, we both
had dark, like crazy thick hair, we both like wrote
our own songs, writing about similar themes, and so people
would love them together. And then Lord has previously said

(13:15):
that when she heard about Charlie XCX releasing Girls So Confusing,
a song that is about like women's rivalry and like
two women having this thing that pulls and pushes them
apart over the years, that she had a really strong
reaction to it. And she said in an interview that
even though she had a lot of empathy for her friend,
but she also had this feeling of like, man, I've
been so misunderstood by Charlie and by the industry, and

(13:37):
I want to make it right. And then Charlie later
said that she had to go through this process when
she released the Hot Girl that song that she had
to go through this process of telling Lord about it
and trying to sort of mend this relationship. And she
said they hadn't spoken for Nelli a year. They'd been
trying to meet up, they kept missing each other, and
so the day before the song came out, Charlie left

(13:58):
Lord a voice note just explaining her side of it,
and she said the Lord replied straight away and said,
oh my god, I had no idea you felt this way.
I'm so sorry. And then they ended up doing a
version of the song to to bring it full circles,
like this unspoken thing that sat between these two pop
girls for years, and just the fact that they never
saw each other, they never talked out until it was
crunch time of this song coming out and Charlie sending

(14:21):
this like hectic voice note and then Lord like jumping
on the phone straight away and being like, no, no, no,
it's me. I understand. But I love that. I love that.
So that's always what I think about when I see
them on stage together. I love those crazy pop girls.

Speaker 2 (14:33):
And another highlight that we've got is Benson Boone.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
Who is I love that boy.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
I love him too. He's such a little cutie. I
love the backflip.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
Also so good at it. Can I just say for
anyone who doesn't think Benson Boone is like you know,
people like, oh, that song's annoying or he's annoying, And
I was like, the man gets up on stage, sings
his little heart out. Were's a sparkly jumpsuit that he
also loves to tear off and without fail backflips off
a piano and every performance, like what else can men do?
Get braining?

Speaker 2 (15:02):
All those videos of like all these like kids classes
just belting out beautiful things. Yeah, I can get a
room together now. He did a rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody,
which is obviously one of the all time great songs. Yeah,
and he brought out Brian May. Yeah, that was.

Speaker 1 (15:19):
Such an amazing moment. Again, I'm just watching the live streams,
but apparently there was some confusion in the crowd because
some people didn't know who he was.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
Straightway, mostly gen zs who probably don't really know who
queen are.

Speaker 1 (15:30):
I think the good thing is like you only really
saw that if you're watching more of the crowd footage,
like people actually filming in the crowd to sort of
see them being like who is that? Whereas the overall
footage from the official live stream, there was this big
scream and I think even if people didn't know who
he was, they're just so hyped up at Cachella, probably
for many reasons, and they were just so excited, like,
you know, he could have brought out the groundskeeper and

(15:51):
everyone want to be like, wh because they were like
so heightened at that point.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
Okay, speaking of groundskeepers. Oh, really the most intel the
most bizarre celebrity to join on stage. Who do you
think it was?

Speaker 1 (16:03):
Oh? Gosh, I can't think of who you're talking about.
Bernie said Bernie Sanders. Yes.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
Now, if you don't know who Bernie Sanders is, he
is a Democrat in the States. He's about one hundred
years old.

Speaker 1 (16:15):
Yeah, or eighty three.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
He's eighty three years old. But he basically he was
like doing the walk with Martin Luther King, Like he
has been a avid supporter of rights and he's pretty
far left, but he's generally very very well loved in
the political environment from the left, obviously not the Republicans. Now,

(16:38):
he actually got up on stage with Claro, which I
thought it is kind of a weird connection, but I
like it.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
I feel like that's because gen Z have I think
recently really discovered Bertie Sanders in a new way and
he's almost become this part of pop culture. And he's
been touring around to all different colleges. Apparently he did
like a four day college tour and then jumped up
on stage at Cachella, which I love us saying like,
oh no, we wouldn't go because like the walk seems far.
He's just like in his eighties popping up on stage.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
No, but he doesn't have to wait and loan for
four hours, does he?

Speaker 1 (17:10):
It's true. Look, I can't speak to Mornie's experience. I
don't know what he went through, but I do know
the crowd cheer for him coming out on stage was
quite extreme.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
Bana Nana. And now that we've spoken about some of
the crazy performances, we have to get into the celebrity sightings.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
Yes, so there were quite a few in the crowd,
one very cute one. Speaking of the White Lotus. Earlier
today we had two of the cast members kind of reunite.
So Lisa obviously from Black Pink, was up on stage
singing money and she's performing and dancing away. She even
did like a little call out to her White Loatus character.
She's like, this is what Mook looks like when she's
not working, because she's leading her like full pop star

(17:46):
get up. So that was very cute and everyone in
the crowd was going crazy. But if you look to
the front row of the crowd, standing right there like
a little proud dad with his phone out filming and
jumping around, was Patrick Schwartznigger aka Saxon Ratliff from The
White Lotus.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
I can't believe that Patrick was like front row.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
Yes, So I don't know if Lisa saw him from stage,
but he was taking lots of videos. He was dancing
there with his fiance Abby Champion, and they were having
just a wild time together. And then he put this
catch on his Instagram because he was singing along. He
was like, excuse my dancing. I had a cocktail and
I was like, why are you such a dorky old man?
I love you. I feel like he's done very well
with his pr after The White Lotus, Like he's been

(18:26):
doing all the talk show circuits, He's going at all
the fan events. He's been really playing into like the
incest jokes from his character. He's been telling like these
funny stories about how him and in his fiance met.
She was on a date with one of his friends
and he went to meet his friend, just fell in
love with her and called her the next day and
was like, I want to take you out, which is
a bold move, and I think it's worked out. I
don't know where the friend is and all this if

(18:47):
he's invited to the wedding, but you know they're in love,
so it's worked out.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
Love that for them, Love that for them.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
The other celebrity spotting of note, and he also got
up on stage at one part of the weekend, was
Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
Oh, and especially after all of those rumors, which we
definitely have not contributed to, all of those rumors about
them sort of being on the rocks, but they seemed
really like in the crowd, loving on each other, caddling, kissing,
So you know, maybe all is well in paradise.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
Yeah, I didn't know a time since those who have
been together, there haven't been rumors that they're on the rocks.
And there's that whole thing that's come out recently which
we already knew, but it's really kind of hyphened to
the moment about that whole hate machine against Hailey Bieber
and like different ways people were monetizing their accounts to
take her down, and how much that content pays. Again,
all things that we've kind of known, but I think

(19:37):
it's sitting at the surface level. And the thing that
really bubbles up the most is these kind of rumors
that they're on the rocks, that he's going through, like
a wild mental health situation, that they're fighting behind the scenes,
that they're estrange, all of which could be true. But
all we've kind of seen from them from this Coachella
weekend is like them going to get coffees together, them

(19:58):
like walking into the festival. They were posting photos from
wherever they were staying away from the festival with their
baby Jack Blues. I feel like people forget they had
a baby. They have a baby. I totally don't bring
them out.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
Always forget that they have a baby. Actually think it
was a good thing. Yeah, let's keep our kids off
social media, especially if you're that famous. I actually respect.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
That, yeah, exactly. And I think maybe because they don't
show him as much, people think like, oh, they're not
being seen because they're on the rocks and way they
could just be home at the baby, like, you know,
this is a cute stage for the baby. And I
also thought it was cute how he was kind of like, again,
the bar's really low, but you know how like for
a while there, all those videos were going viral of
every time Justin had like left Hailey in a bad situation,
when like photographers chased them and he left her behind,

(20:40):
when he walked into a building and she couldn't open
the door, or when he got out of the door
and slammed it and like left her like those edits
just go everywhere.

Speaker 2 (20:47):
And him looking like a complete slob.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
Yeah, all those kind of things. Whereas these photos from
this weekend of Coachella were telling a very different story
because you saw him sitting and like making like a
seat for her with his knee and all that sort
of stuff. I mean, again, the bar's low, but I
think it's just kind of like a nice different story
to what we usually see about those two crazy kids.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
And standing next to them was Tate McCray and the
kids Aroy.

Speaker 1 (21:10):
Yeah, yeah, so I.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
Really like Tate Mccraha'm a really big fan of hers.
I think she's amazing. She's super talented and the kid
LaRoy together spotted in the crowd enjoying another set, having
a little cuddle. We love to see a celebrity siding.

Speaker 1 (21:24):
Yeah, exactly. That's I think that one of the more
exciting things about Coachella is that you have all of
these like celebrities in this place where they're all a
mesh together and there are private areas you can go into,
but once you're like in the crowds at these different performances,
there is no way to hide. So we end up
having all of like these really interesting moments. And there
were a lot of celebs at the different events you have.
You go to Coachella, but there's all the pop up

(21:45):
events around it, and so people have, you know, all
their special outfits and all that sort of stuff. And
normally with Coachella, it's a very distinct fashion look. In
the past, it's been like very boho.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
Vanessa Hutchins in the twenty gens was peak Coachello.

Speaker 1 (22:01):
One hundred percent. She was called the Queen of Coachella
for many years. So it's all about, you know, the
short shorts and the boots and the headdresses, and that
rememb when COVID first was a big a thing, and
Vanessa Hudgens did that Instagram live and she was like,
she was really upset that Coachella was canceled, and she's like,
I know people are gonna die, but it's like inevitable, girl,

(22:22):
take that. Let's run our videos past people before we
post them. But that is one of my I feel
like that's the defining moment from the pandemic. Was that
statement from her? So she yeah, she doesn't go to
Coachella much anymore, but usually it's these really over the
top outfits, and for a while there, like celebrities were
really leading the charge with that, and especially you know,
like a Paris Hilton and all that sort of stuff.
Those kind of eat girls of the moment would come

(22:44):
in like sequins and high heels and like crazy head
pieces with like face jewels and body glitter, pretty much
exactly how I'd used to dress for like my Year
seven disco. You know, you do like the hair glitter
and like the little diamonds on your face that you
got from Louisa.

Speaker 2 (22:59):
I feel like it's actually gotten a little bit out
of control.

Speaker 1 (23:03):
Yeah, well, I think it just built for so long,
so you had the celebrities always doing these crazy intense outfits,
and then the rest of the concert goers started really
leaning to that as well, and it almost became fancy dress.
And I think that's why last year we saw this
big swing in the other direction where the girls at
the moment. So like last year, Kendall, Jenna, Kylie Jenner,

(23:24):
and Hailey Bieber all rocked up to Katella just wearing
basically jeans and a black jacket.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
And that's kind of happened again this year. I mean,
Kendall looked really sweet, like beautiful little sun dress that
she wore the pop up events. Hailey again relatively casual.
A lot of the libs really were leaning into that
more relaxed casual vibe.

Speaker 1 (23:45):
Yeah exactly.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
Is just like in baggy jeans and a shirt, like
it wasn't really a lot of over the top apart
from the performers.

Speaker 1 (23:52):
Yeah exactly. So a few many people who lead into
that more of that influencer space dressing up. So like
Alex Earl had like almost like a pirate outfit on,
so she had like a corsette short shorts and then
like all of these different like buckle I think she's
like four different belts again very mean in high school
with all the buckles and everything hanging off. And then
Renee Rapp is just wearing more like a tartanaxi skirt

(24:13):
and a T shirt and a cap, again very different
what we've seen in like previous years. Emma Roberts just
walking around in a vest in boots, looking like she
just rolled out of a Bond Eye dish store, you
know what I mean. Like it's very kind of laid back,
which does seem more comfortable for a concert. The only
person I saw really going full Coachella and trying to
really get headlines with her looks, which made her stand

(24:34):
out more because I love how when all of the
girls realized that the normies are doing something so like
the Kendall, Kylie's and Hayley's last year, realizing that they
would look too blended in if they went crazy with
their outfits, and so they went so far the other
way to this really toned down look. That there's a
few celebrities this year who's stuck with that old school
Coachella vibe, and then they're the ones that kind of

(24:56):
stand out. So I don't know if you saw Julia Fox.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
I love Julia Fox.

Speaker 1 (24:59):
She looked amazing.

Speaker 2 (25:01):
Was she wearing like stockings and then like it was
like crotchless. Yeah, and then she had like these amazing
glasses on. And I know she's a bit crazy, but
I actually just really enjoy her.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
I just love how much she tells us that she's
wearing these outfits for promo. So like on her Instagram,
she'll often be walking the streets of New York and
she'll say, like, I walked out here in this outfit,
so paparazzi would see me and they missed me. Now
I'm gonna have to circle the block she goes looking
for them, which I love. Yeah, she was wearing I
guess this cowboy kind of inspired like a brown leather jacket,

(25:34):
brown leather knee high boots, and a corset. And yeah,
just her ass just completely out. I know we've talked
about buck cleavage making a comeback to red carpets with
just like a little peak of cleavage at the top,
but this is two full ass cheeks right out there,
and I kind of love it for her.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
I really like those glasses too. I mean I could
never pull them off, but it's like Cyborg. I'm kind
of into it.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
I wish she'd done more of a full get ready
for me and just being like, how do you even
get into such a contraption, because I feel like that
would have been a lot.

Speaker 2 (26:01):
I just really want to quickly mention Tyler, Oh my god,
if I was gay, that would be the woman that
I would want to be with. She is phenomenal. She's
the hottest thing ever. She was wearing this little bralette
and like ripped fishnets and oh, stunning, so hot. That's
just for me, That's just for my visuals. If you

(26:22):
want to go see someone who's absolutely stunning, go look
at Tyler. The final ones that we have to talk
about now, we all know all about the Kardashians. The
Kardashians are always at Coachella. Kendall Jenner was there with
her love Timothy Schalla. May Kylie looked very cash. Timothy
also looked very cash, but he looked like he was
going on about a seven day hike.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
These photos have just taken over my life since I
saw them over the weekend, Like I cannot get them
out of my head. So yes, there's all these videos
of the two of them walking into Coachella, and vibes
seem to be so high, especially because they're being Awards
season run together where they were going to like red carpets,
and Kylie was jumping on her jet to go back
and forth all the time that's over. They seem to

(27:05):
be in holiday mode. And Kylie was wearing a white
cropped T shirt and like long white baggy jean, so
very much leaning back into that style that she did
last year of I don't give a Fuck type of dressing,
which I'd love because again, it's easier for the rest
of us if we want to get into that vibe.
It's much easier to go to an event channeling that
than channeling like a big head dress or something. So
you know, she's looking vibing. She's walking in. Timothy Challa

(27:27):
May is just walking behind her, hugging her, patting her
ass the whole time, like they're just looking very cute
and in love. And he's wearing just the normal get
up as well, like a brown T shirt and pants,
and then on his back, it's truly the biggest freaking
backpack I have ever seen.

Speaker 2 (27:44):
He looks like he's a German backpacker, like I don't understand,
he's got this hat on, these glasses, he's got this
really awkward mustache on. I don't really like Timothy Shallow.

Speaker 1 (27:55):
Really, Why what's wrong with Timothy?

Speaker 2 (27:58):
I did an interview with him, and I just a
vibe from me, and look it was the only interview
I've ever done and with him. So look, maybe he
was having a bad day, but he just he was rude.

Speaker 1 (28:10):
I don't know, off the table. Nothing sours me on
a celebrity faster, especially a little like little twerp like
that and then being rooted in interview.

Speaker 2 (28:18):
And look again, I always give people the benefit of
the doubt, like I won't make judgment until I've done
it a couple of times because people have bad days.
I understand that. Yeah, but since then I've just gotten
a real dweeby.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
Vibe from me. Yeah, I mean also, I mean this
look isn't helping you feel like you've got your revenge?
If that helps? When you look at how he's come
across in these photos. So Kylie's like dancing in she
just looks like the ultimate cool girl. She's really like
in a peak era right now. And then Timothy is
just shuffling behind her with the world's biggest backpack. He's
looking like a kid who's turned up to his first

(28:51):
day of like year one, with all the books and clothes,
spare water bottles and everything he'll need for like his
full six years of schooling.

Speaker 2 (28:59):
We are going to get so much. The Timothy fans
are no.

Speaker 1 (29:03):
They know, there's no way you can look at that
photo and not be a bit like, but what do
we think he had in that backpack?

Speaker 2 (29:08):
Okay, here we go. What have we got in the backpack? Now?
I'm gonna say a water bottle?

Speaker 1 (29:15):
Sure?

Speaker 2 (29:16):
Okay, a change of clothes, sure for that.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
One day he's at the festival he needs to change
from one brown T shirt to another.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
Maybe a change of underwear.

Speaker 1 (29:24):
Also on what I don't want to know about that.

Speaker 2 (29:25):
Maybe his sleepsack. I'm just thinking about what I put
in my kid's daycare.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
Back to just what is back to himself. Do you
think that when Kylie was getting ready in the morning,
she packed Stormy's bag because Stormy was getting shout outs
because her dad was That's the whole of thing was
Travis Scott was performing on another stage. I think in
the morning, Kylie packed Stormy's bag and she put her
water bottle in there, and then she pecked Air's bag,
which is her son, put his favorite snacks in there,
and then she packed Timothy's bag. Yeah, maybe there was

(29:49):
like a little.

Speaker 2 (29:50):
Lunchbox with in there, a yogurt pouch. Yeah, I don't know.
What does he need to carry around?

Speaker 1 (29:56):
Well, I don't know. He must have had supplies for
the day. But it's so interesting because like regular people
have to cut their shit around Coachella all day. But
even all the normies who were going in just had
like little shoulder bags and stuff like little you know,
cross body bags and things like that, so they can
have their hands free because they know that it want
to carry shit around all day. But celebrities are different
because they can go into those VIP areas where they

(30:16):
can have that kind of reset. So I don't know
what the boy had in there. And the funniest thing
is is like when you saw them, they were in
the front row of Charlie XCX, and it's such a
juxtaposition because Kylie is like dancing and she's jumping around.
She's so free because she has a tiny little black
shoulder bag and nothing else and she's just free to
dance and Timothy next to her, clearly encumbered by this

(30:37):
huge backpack, is just kind of bobbing awkwardly, and he
looks like he's about to tip backwards, and then he'd
be like a turtle because he'd just be on his back,
floundering and not be able to flip over. And I
wish that had happened.

Speaker 2 (30:48):
There's been a lot of Timothy hate in this segment, but.

Speaker 1 (30:52):
You know, hey, I just want to know what's in
the back I know, I really want.

Speaker 2 (30:54):
To know what's in the backpack too. And I also
would be so annoyed if I was behind him. And
every time, you know, when someone's got a really big
bag on, they turn around and whack you.

Speaker 1 (31:02):
So what are you thinking, Oh, do.

Speaker 2 (31:04):
You know what? In terms of festival etiquette, I think
that is poor.

Speaker 1 (31:07):
For exactly, you're already in the front row. We know
that you didn't wait there. You obviously escort it to
the front, and then you've probably smashed some little concert
goers in the head with your backpack. I don't know,
depending if you're a fan of his or not, if
like maybe some of those girls who are dancing behind
him in those videos would thought it would be an
honor to be smashing the face by Timothy Challemey's backpack,
but I personally would find it annoying.

Speaker 2 (31:27):
We're gonna put a gallery of photos up on our instapage,
so if you guys have any theories of what's in
the backpack, please let us know.

Speaker 1 (31:35):
