Speaker 1 (00:11):
You're listening to a Muma Mia podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Mamma Mia acknowledges the traditional owners of land and borders
that this podcast is recorded on.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
Happy Thursday. You hot by. We are so close to
the weekend I can taste it. And in the meantime,
I'm going to get you through the day ahead with
the best celeb and entertainment news going around. It's ash London,
by the way, Good morning, this is the morning tea today.
You've got the choice of a peppermint, licorice or a
honey chi. What's it going to be? I think I'll

(00:51):
go with the honey Chie. But either way, it's time
to get spilling, because on today's show we've got a
heartfelt chat with Emma Watson about the pain she felt
on set after Harry Potter and Laura goes one on
one with Perry Edwards. Let's get into it. Jimmy Kimmel
made his late night return late yesterday afternoon one of
the most hotly anticipated monologues of all time. I think

(01:15):
he pete the chance of Jimmy Jimmy from an alighted
crowd and look, I'm not gonna lie. The man looks tired.
But who wouldn't be after the week of hell he
has endured, among other things. In his opening remarks, he
thanked he's peers who had reached out with support.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
Some that I do especially want to mention are my
fellow late night talk show hosts, my friend Stephen Colbert,
who has found himself in this predicament. My friend John
Stewart said Myers, Jimmy Fallon, John Oliver cold and O'Brian,
James Corden Ursinio pathy wan that Chelsea even Jay reached out.

(01:55):
I heard from late night hosts in other countries, from
Ireland and from Germany. The guy in Germany offered me
a job. Can you imagine this country has become so authoritarian?
The Germans are like come here.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Six years after appearing in her last movie, Little Women,
Emma Watson has sat down with Jay Sheddy. The conversation
was over two hours long, touching on a range of subjects,
including the fact that Emma struggled to make friends in
Hollywood after her experience of such closeness with the Harry PotterCast.
In the chat, she talked about the fact that she
went into other film projects expecting the same caarderie, but

(02:34):
instead unfortunately found some competitiveness even jealousy. Towards the end
of the chat, Jay brought up the subject of JK. Rowling,
whose public statements have often clashed with Emma's outspoken views
on trans rites, and here's what Emma had to say.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
I really don't believe that by having had that experience
and holding the love and support and views that I have,
mean that I can't and don't treasure Joe and the
person that I had personal experiences with. I will never

(03:10):
believe that one negates the other, and that my experience
of that person I don't get to keep and cherish.
I come back to our earlier thing like I just
don't think these things are either or. I think it's

(03:31):
my deepest wish that I hope people who don't agree
with my opinion will love me, and I hope I
can keep loving people who I don't necessarily share the
same opinion with.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
Sticking around my angels. We take in with Robert Erwin's
Dancing with the Star's journey. When we return and one
of our own goes one on one with Perry Edwards,
Robert Irwin continues He's Dancing with the Stars, Domination and
last night he did the tango with his partner, Whitney.
BNDY was on set, of course, to show her support,

(04:03):
uploading this to her instact to encourage viewers to get voting.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
This guy is on Dancing with the Star US tonight.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
Yes are you ready?

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Yes, Yes, We've got tango tonight. Whitney and I have
been working hard cooking up something really, really fun.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
We are so excited for you guys to see it.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
It is so good, So be sure to tune in
and vote for Robert. Otherwise, thanks, I will bring a
crocodile to your house.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
Have a great one.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
Oh snap, Okay, okay, okay, go vote Unsurprisingly, because is
there anything this family cannot do. Robert nailed the performance
and he's sitting pretty on top of the leaderboard. And
thanks to E News, we also got an update on
Robert's relationship status.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
I have to ask, the Internet wants to know if
you're single. Yeah, we are still looking for the American
girl you have been helping.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Thank you.

Speaker 5 (04:56):
Well, you have kind of got through screening process, So
submit your applications through my DMS and then I will
forward them to Bendy and then then we will see
about the American tourist and finally.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
It spills a very own Laura Brodneck sat down with
Perry Edwards on this week's episode of No Filter for
a no holds Bad chat that touched on everything from
green flags, failed relationships, motherhood, and of course the chance
to reflect on Little Mixes Monster success.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
I wanted to ask you about the brit Awards win
when you were up on stage and as a group
you said, the industry is filled with like a lot
of sexism misogyny, but we've pushed through and this winner
is for all the other girl groups out there, and
you name some of them. What does it mean to
you now to sort of look back on that and
be such a history making moment but also decide as

(05:46):
a group that you were going to make it about
all the women in the industry.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (05:51):
I think that's what Little Mix was always about. It
wasn't just like we're doing this and this is our
path and this is that we just wanted to pave
the way for other girls, other women in the industry,
girl brands that came before and after us that we
thought was so deservant of winning that award.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
You'll find a link to the full episode of with
Perry Edwards in today's show notes, But that is it
from me, my angels, the girls going to be in
your feeds at three pm with the Spill. That's your entertainment,
deep Dave, that you've got to get yourself around. Every
day Morning Tea is hosted and produced by myself, Ash London,

which meets I'm Gonna miss you but love you in

Stuff You Should Know
Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
