Speaker 1 (00:08):
You're listening to I'm Amama podcast. Good Morning Angels, Ash
London here and welcome to your Morning Tea for Tuesday,

(00:28):
December the eighteenth OMG one week till Christmas. Boo boo
this morning. There is so much to get through Harry
and Meghan. I'm back to the Netflix producing ways. One
of my favorite actors on Actors has launched. Leonardo DiCaprio
makes an admission that truly shocked me. Milania Trump tries

(00:49):
her hand to documentary filmmaking sounds about right. And we
have a new highest grossing actor and I'll give you
a hint. On paper, he's wicked, but in real life
he's absolutely charming and possibly the sexiest man alive. I've
definitely given it away for you. There, are you ready
to get into the morning's morning Tea? Like bloody well

(01:09):
Am too, Let's do it. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
are back in the Netflix Spotlight and no, Meg's isn't
going to be making sou flas and decorating the house
with very expensive florals. This time around, They're making our
rom com. The Sussex's production company arch Well is teaming
up with Netflix to bring the best selling novel The
Wedding Date to the screen. It's a story about a

(01:29):
chance elevator meeting that leads to a fake date turned
fake romance turned real romance at a wedding. There's no
word yet on Hull's star or when we'll see it,
but man, I really just want her to just admit
that she wants to be an actress again. I reckon
she she'd just front it.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
I'd watch it.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
I think a lot of people would actually watch that.
Come on, Bobe. Next up. One of my favorite things
on the Internet is Actors on Actors, which is a
series Variety does. It's pretty self explanatory. Really, actors just
chat with other actors. Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio are
the latest stars to take partner. It's thirty minutes long,
and my favorite revelation came when Jennifer Lawrence brings up Titanic.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
It's like, there was Titanic and then there was Way
Units and they kind of overlapped.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
Maybe it could have worked.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Have you rewatched Titanic?

Speaker 3 (02:13):
No?

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Oh, you should, I haven't seen it. I bet you could.
I bet you could, like watch it as a movie
now and it's so good.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
I don't really watch.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
Maybe I do some movies I've watched.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
You watch your old your movies. No, I've never made
something like Titanic, but if I did, I would I
would watch it.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
But I mean, do you put when was the last
time you did that?

Speaker 2 (02:36):
When I was really drunk, I put on American Hustle
and then my assistant went to download something. Did you
do it alone or were you showing some showing people
this movie? No, I was drunk and I was like,
I wonder if I'm good at acting. I put on
American Muscle and I don't remember what the what the

(02:56):
That's funny. I love her so much.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Stig around and when we returned to Malania, Trump tries
her hand at documentary filmmaking.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Now, if you've ever found yourself thinking, you know what,
we need a documentary about Milania Trump, well wish no more.
A new trailer has dropped for the Amazon backed Millennia
documentary that follows the famously private First Lady in the
twenty days leading up to the second inauguration of her
husband Donald Trump. Expect glamorous outfit fittings, more glamorous outfit fittings,

(03:32):
lots of close ups of very high heels, and plenty
of icy one liners, including a very on brand. Here
we go again, which is how it starts together.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
We'd like minded leaders, we have a voice. Is it
safe through true? Everyone wants to know, So here it is. Hi,

(04:05):
mister President congreg Lisens. Did you watch it?

Speaker 2 (04:08):
I did not?

Speaker 3 (04:09):
Yeah, I will see it on the news.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
Millennia is also listed as an executive producer, because who
knows Milania better than Millennia. The Dock hit cinemas in
early twenty twenty six. And whether it's revealing, rehearsed, or
just very very stylish, which I think it's probably just
going to be very very stylish. One thing certain. The
Internet is already sharpening its memes and finally, move over
dinosaurs and Wicked witches, there's a new box office king

(04:34):
in town. British heartthrobert Jonathan Bailey, aka the world's sexiest man,
officially fresh off Bridge and fame, has skyrocketed to twenty
twenty five's highest grossing actor, thanks not to just one
huge film, Wicked for Good, but also Jurassic World rebirth,
between spellcasting and ods and dodging prehistoric chumps. Bailey has

(04:56):
had a year Hollywood studios only dream of, and the
best part, he's managed to do it while remaining absolutely
undeniably gorgeous and charming like a true grit gentleman. And that,
my darlings, is it for this week's Morning Tea. Thank
you for spilling with me today. It has been an
absolute pleasure hanging for a couple of minutes before you
get into the day. My name is Ash London, Host

(05:18):
and producer of Morning Tea. Executive producer is Minitiis Warren.
The girls, of course, like every day, will be in
your feet from three pm with the Deep Dive And
if you're not following us on Instagram and TikTok to
stay up to date and what are you doing, get
around it? Okay to Monday, my darlings, Bye bye, Mamma
Mia acknowledges the traditional owners of the land. We have

(05:40):
recorded this podcast on the Gatigor people of the orination.
We pay our respects to their elders past and present,
and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander cultures.

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
