Speaker 1 (00:11):
You're listening to Amma Mia podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
Mamma Mia acknowledges the traditional owners of land and borders
that this podcast is recorded on.
Speaker 3 (00:31):
Good morning Angels. I hope you're feeling good today. The
weekend is getting closer, and I've got a delicious steaming
cup of tea for you this morning. Ash London here
your host of Morning Tea, and I'm so happy to
be hanging out with you on this Thursday morning. Today
we've got a controversial engagement, an admission of guilt from
Gwyneth Paltrow, and another heartbreaking update from Kevin Federline. But first,
(00:54):
a bit of Kimmy Kay for your Thursday. Kim Kardashian
just revealed on Call Her Daddy that the final straw
in her marriage to Kanye West came when she no
longer felt safe emotionally or financially amid his unpredictable behavior,
including omens the way he'd give away their Lamb Borghinis
due to his episodes this is crazy stuff. She described
(01:17):
the relationship as toxic, saying a public betrayals and a
lack of stability pushed her to walk away.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
I think there's obviously you know, people can say that
there was like signs and maybe it didn't wasn't paying
attention to them. And I think when someone has like
their first like mental break, you know, you want to
be super supportive and you want to like help figure
(01:43):
that out and you want to really get into that
with them and be there for them. But I think
that it just when someone was, you know, isn't willing
to make changes that I think would be super healthy
and beneficial, it makes it really hard to continue on
in a relationship that can be toxic.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
Next up, you might remember back in twenty twenty two,
TJ Holmes and Amy Roback lost their jobs on GMA
three after their high profile affair went public. Well, it
would have been so awkward if they lost their jobs
of the affair and then broke up weeks later, but
lucky for them, it's all come good. They revealed on
their Amy and TJ podcast that they've been engaged for
about a month. Amy said she's already been wearing the
(02:27):
ring publicly, dangling it in front of everyone's faces, but
no one's had the gut to ask her, or maybe
they just haven't noticed, and they've been able to fly
under the radar. Congratulations to the newly engaged couple. Next up,
it looks like even Gwyneth Paltrow is in a circle
needs a bit of a detox. She's now admitting that yes,
there were toxic people working at her wellness empire, Goop,
(02:49):
and that her own aversion to confrontation let the drama fester.
While she continues to defend Goop's cultures collaborative and brilliant.
She took full responsibility for leitting a few rotten apples
plunintended spoil the bunch. This defense from Gwyneth comes in
response to some of the claims made in Amy Odell's
Gwyneth biography, which painted Goop as a toxic work play
(03:11):
stick around my darlings. A sad admission from Kevin Federline
and Robert Irwin makes us cry on Dancing with the
Stars again. Now we touched on this yesterday. Kevin Federline,
who of course is the father of a Britney Spears
(03:32):
two sons, is doing the press rounds ahead of the
release of his autobiography You Thought You Knew, And this
one's a pretty harrowing listen.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
I'm absolutely, as a father, terrified that one day I
might wake up and my sons are gonna have to
deal with the unimagined. I kind of have to sound
the alarm that I truly feel that, somehow, some way,
I just wish that their mom will get help. What's
going on now, and I'm not going to get into
(04:00):
details because I'm not going to just expose her personal life,
but it's ten times worse than anything that I've said
in my book. I've stayed with my mouth shut for
the sake of my family. I've tried to help my
sons build a relationship with their mother, and I pray
to God every day that she gets the help that
she needs or wakes up and realizes. And you have
two sons right there in front of you that are
screaming for a life with you, the same that they
(04:24):
have with the rest of their family. At the end
of the day, I just want Brittany to be around
for her children for a long time.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
Now. It's a tough. One part of me thinks adding
to the pylon isn't going to help her and he
needs to kind of keep their private life private, and
the other part of me thinks he sounds a good
father who is just desperate for the mother of his kids.
To get some help and for someone to help her.
Either way, Brittany's given her entire life for her fans,
for people like ask to enjoy her music. She deserves
some peace and I desperately hope that she gets it.
(04:52):
And finally, Dancing with the Stars USA did dedication night
and twenty one year old Robert Irwin left the ballroom
soaked in emotion that performing a contemporary dance to it.
To Phil Collins, You'll be my Heart and that song
is like sad even when Robert Erwin's not dancing and
dedicating it to his widow or mother. Yes, the dance
was in honor of his mum, Terry, and in a
(05:14):
surprise moment at the end of his dance, his partner
stepped aside out of camera shot, and then when the
camera swung back around, Terry joined him on stage to
finish the dance, and they embraced and they cried, and
everyone cried. Here's Robert talking about how emotional the performance
it was for him.
Speaker 4 (05:30):
It was really tough to actually come out and see
that whole performance through because like the emotion, it was
just so high and I had Whitney covering my ears
while the package was playing because it's just what my
mum means to me and the way in which she's
led our family through so many ups and downs. This week,
(05:53):
you know, I've really been in a lot of those emotions,
and I've gotten to express emotions I've never been able
to before. And it was so hard, but so beautiful,
and I'm so incredibly grateful to Whitney for creating choreography
that I could, for the first time express a sense
of gratitude to the person who has shaped who I
(06:14):
am today. So thank you for giving me that gift.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
It was amazing.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
