Mamma Mia acknowledges the traditional owners of land and borders
that this podcast is recorded on.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Hell Am I darlings, Ash London, here and welcome to
your morning tea. I hope you've had a lovely and
RESTful sleep. I hope you're ready for the day ahead.
I mean, technically it's Thursday, which means it's Friday e
which means it's pretty much the weekend. So let's start celebrating.
On today's show, Ed Sheeran raises money in an unexpected way.
A new role for Pedro Pascal that's got me hot

(00:51):
under the collar at a popstar cover that will blow
your face off. So let's spill some tea. First up,
Travis Kelsey's dad has given us a bit of an
insight into when this engagement actually took place. I have
no idea if he had the okay to share this information,
but here we are, and we thank him for that.
Thank you. Ed.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Glad to see it happen. I mean they've talked about
it quite a bit. Actually did the proposal, oh maybe
two weeks not quite two weeks ago. He was gonna
put it off till this week. I think she was
getting maybe a little antsy, but he was gonna put
it off till this week to you know, what makes
some grand thing, to make it a big special event.

(01:30):
And uh and I told him repeatedly, you know you
can do it an on other side of the road, dude,
or any place that makes it a special event when
you when you get down on one knee and ask
her the marriage.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
The more I hear it, the more I think he's
actually spoken out of turn. But you know what, welcome
to the world of having in law's taite And if
you're a swifty who's desperate for something, anything, just to
crumb about this new album, The Life of a show Girl.
He's Travis's thoughts with his shit on his podcast New Heights.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
We're gonna go ahead and just like keep poking the
bear to all the Swifties. I keep listening to this album,
and I know she mentioned that it's going to be
a lot more pop beats and everything, but it's just
it's still so poetic in how she like her melodies
and her references and stuff. It's just so much fun
that listen to. Man, I've been dancing all throughout the
house Do.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
You have a favorite We asked this before, what's your favorite?
Do you have a favorite song yet?

Speaker 2 (02:20):
On the n I'm not a politician, Jason. I think
Oval Lad might be my favorite, though it's at least
right now. Every time it comes on, I always keep
catch myself.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
Next up, we know Ed Sheeran as one of the
most prolific singer songwriters of our time. He's made millions
from his music, from touring and generally just being one
of the nicest humans around. Well, now he's tried his
hand and a new form of art and creativity. Here's
a painter, so on his socials you'll see him donning
a full kind of hazmat suit gas mask and walking
through a huge warehouse. The floor is covered in huge

(02:54):
canvases as he splutters the paint across them. The artworks
are very Jackson Pollock inspired, but he's the kicker. He's
partnered with an accessible art company to exhibit and sell
the works, making over a million US dollars for a
UK youth music charity. Classic ed Good on your Mate,
Stick Around My Loves. We've got a new role for
Pedro Pascal. An unexpected film has taken Netflix's most stream

(03:17):
Crown and a pop Star cover which is blow my
mind and It's gonna blow yours too. Welcome Back. Now
we could have uncovered Pedro Bascal's next film role, with
the actor reportedly in talks to replace Waqi in Phoenix
in a film called The Notche, which was due to
start filming in Mexico last year. If the deal closes,

(03:39):
Pascal would start opposite Danny Ramirez, with the pair playing
a corrupt cop and his younger lover as they flee
nineteen thirties Los Angeles for Mexico. I mean I would
watch Pedro like I'd watch him watch paint dry for
three hours at gold Class with snacks happily. So if
he isn't it, I'll be there Netflix's K Pop Demon Hunters.
He's poised to make Oscar history as potentially the first

(04:02):
anime inspied film to earn multiple Academy Award now nooms Now.
Anime is obviously a huge genre, but it usually it
kind of only gets dominated in Best Animated Feature, But
now there's talk that it will be out the Best
Original Song with its hit track Golden. It's also been
announced as Netflix's most watched film ever, with two hundred

(04:23):
and thirty six million views. It even got a box
office opening in the cinemas and with number one there,
its success could mark a breakthrough for anime the Oscars,
which is historically only recognized a handful of anime titles.
So look, I mean, the film continues to take over
the world and it ain't stopping soon. And finally, this
isn't as much news as there's just something incredible that
blew my face off and I wanted to share it

(04:45):
with you in case you haven't seen it. Popstar Benson
Boone has covered Adele at a concert over the weekend
and dare I say he kind of sounds as good
as adult Well that is it for me, my loves,

(05:30):
But the gals are going to be in your feeds
at three pm with the Spill for an entertainment. Deep
Dive Morning Tea is hosted and produced by me Ash
