Speaker 1 (00:08):
You're listening to Amma Mia podcast. Good Morning Angels, only
one flip to a Christmas and you can think of
me today as your little entertainment elf, working my fingers

(00:31):
to the bone through the night to make sure your
inbox is full of the latest news when you wake
up and race downstairs. Boone's a new two hundred dollars
mech a moisturizer and you've got me. You know what
I'm saying, Ash London here by the way, good morning today,
We've got another example of Travis Kelcey doing the most.
The prodigal Aussie rapper returns home and the most adorable
moment between Emma Thomason and Timothy challow May as he

(00:54):
confesses his favorite film and it starts her first up.
The Eras doco has been serving us delicious little morsels
with every episode, and this one is askewed as the
rest of them. Taylor reading out a letter from her
fiance Travis as she prepares for the final show.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
So many unbelievable memories on this tour, but my favorite
one is seeing you in concert for the first time,
being memorized, mesmerized and swept off my feet by a
woman who doesn't even know me. I selfishly say thank
you for creating this legendary tour and to Robert for
making you start through Kansas City, Missouri that night too.
In casey was the beginning of me meeting the love

(01:31):
of my life.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
The NFL star, of course, was referring to the moment
he attended the Eras tour at Arrowhead Stadium on July eighth,
twenty twenty three, and famously tried and failed to give
the singer a friendship bracelet with his number on it.
He mentioned on his podcast soon after this led to
that by it being Bada Boom engaged. Next up, the
Princess of Mullumbimbi has writtened Egyusalia has shared some snaps

(01:55):
of her trip back to OZ for Christmas, the first
in seven years, and long light the rest of us.
She's not hold up in her mum's bare room helping
clean up for the relatives. Now it's more of a
design a bikini on a souper yacht, splashing about underserted
Beach's sort of trip. One thing I will say is
she shared a picture of a half eaten finger bun
so despite the lavish rapper slash cryptoboss life she's been living.

(02:16):
There's still some Aussie you know yet stick around where
we return. Timothy Chalomaye, Emma Thompson, and Rowan Atkinson share
a lovely Christmasy moment on the Graham Norton Gouts Welcome Back.
One week after the tragic murder of their parents, Jake
and Romy Rhiner have issued a statement to the public,

(02:37):
and of course it is seriously heartbreaking stuff, they said.
Words cannot even begin to describe the unimaginable pain we
are experiencing every moment of the day. The horrific and
devastating loss of our parents, Robin Michelle Rhiner is something
that no one should ever experience. They weren't just our parents,
they were our best friends. Jake and Romy added, we
now ask for respect and privacy, a speculation to be

(02:59):
tempered with compassion and humanity, and for our parents to
be remembered for the incredible lives they lived and the
love they gave. And in this spirit of Christmas, I
want to end on a happy note. The moment with
the latest episode of The Graham Norton Show, in which
Timothy Charalamay, Emma Thompson and Rowan Atkinson wand over the
greatest Christmas film of all time?

Speaker 3 (03:20):
We're both in I think, is it your favorite Christmas
movie of all time?

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Love? Actually what a jam?

Speaker 4 (03:28):
I was rewatching it last night, and that's a sort
of complicated ethically storyline, you know, because you guys resolved
the dispute quite easily.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
Well, do you think, I don't think so.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
I think that when he gets off that plane, Alan
rickman god dressed him playing my husband, I think you.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
Just don't know. You know, it will never be the
same again, that's the same.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
But you were in the same scene, weren't you, Yes, exactly,
But I think you see, this is the problem with
not actually watching films you've met.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
You remember this story you because I was in self.
It is all nine Alan, we were, we were, we
were all there produced and Alan rickmand god Lesson was
pretty annoyed about he didn't really want to be up
all night, you know, shooting because we had to shoot
during the night because they didn't allow us to shoot
during the day. Yeah, so we have to pretend it
was day and he was he was. He was fairly

(04:24):
short tempered. Yeah, Whereas I just did a spot of shopping.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
Timothy obviously not a true fan. We all know the
ending is ambiguous. We don't actually know if Harry and
Karen are going to make it, but I digress. That
is it for our Morning Tea today. Thank you so
much for hanging out with me. We're going to be
taking a bit of a break for Christmas, but we'll
be back on Monday with more celebrity and entertainment news
delivery to get in box first thing in the morning.

(04:47):
In the meantime, make sure you follow this Bill podcast
on Instagram and TikTok to stay up to date with
all the latest entertainment news. Morning Tea is hosted and
produced by me Ash London, Executive produced by the amazing
Many shit Is Warren. I hope Sander brings you everything
your heart desires and you have a wonderful time with
your family and friends over the next cup blavets love

(05:08):
you guys.

Speaker 3 (05:10):

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
