Speaker 1 (00:00):
And her mom, Michelle yelling at her, telling her to
put the bottle down, and Tilly kind of like running
away from her mum as she's still drinking, clearly not listening,
and I'm like, what is this night going to turn out?
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Like?
Speaker 1 (00:15):
Life is an endless series of train wrecks with only
brief commercial like breaks of how.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
I've been drinking alcohol right now?
Speaker 1 (00:26):
You've been drinking again? Yeah, you know what?
Speaker 3 (00:29):
Yep, guys, I'm basically like being sober for like one
and a half years, but one of half years. Yeah,
like I only have a drink like on New Year's
two big nights in the last.
Speaker 4 (00:42):
Just to clarify, Tilly's not actually drinking yet.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
Oh yeah, she's not drinking right now, but she's just
back ones but till How does that feel? How does
it feel to get some alcohol back back through the veins,
you know, flowing through you know what, through the heart
all the way to the toes, you know, get a
little tingly?
Speaker 3 (00:59):
Yeah? I love that tingle. I just love Yeah, there's nothing.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
That grades I like that. I love that tingle. Can
we title this episode tips?
Speaker 4 (01:11):
Actually? Yeah, we can do that for you.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
Move, thank you so much.
Speaker 3 (01:16):
Yeah, there's nothing better than like that in between before
you're drunk, where you still have control, but like you're
just a bit high.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
You feel good, confidence, couldn't have a care in the
World's like your cheeks go a little numb, you know
what I mean, Like you just you're feeling.
Speaker 4 (01:32):
Do you drink moey.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
Like doble back and forth? Oh, Like yeah, I do.
I do drink. When I drink, I do have a drink,
But I like, through my whole life, like I've steered
pretty clear of drinking because of basketball, so I haven't
drank too much even when I was in college. It
wasn't like a huge huge priority of mine. Not to
say that I didn't drink or don't drink, but yeah,
(01:56):
I enjoy it. I enjoy drinking.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
I feel like you explained to me before, like because
I think this is an interesting perspective, Like if you
going out and getting ship faced with all your friends
in college, was the difference between you making a team
or like showing up and playing a shitty game. Obviously
you're not going to drink, Like yeah, so it makes sense. Yeah,
this is choosing your career.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Yeah, that's right, that's right. And I think because of that, Like,
to this day, I've never felt the need to, like
have to drink when I am out, and I know
that's the same for you, Tilly, Like we don't need
to drink to have a good time. It can elevate
your time, of course, but it's never been something that
I've relied on to like enjoying my experience out or
(02:41):
at an event or whatever it might be. So yeah,
I'm just like back and forth, like I'll just drink
in moderation, I guess. Yeah yeah, but so wait you
started drinking? Where was your first Where was your first
drink from sobriety?
Speaker 3 (02:55):
Was that mummy's birthday?
Speaker 1 (02:57):
Oh? I love that you and Michelle to bring it
back home, you know what I mean? Yeah, actually some
way to get back on the horse.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
Love that I did have a shot at Abe's eighteenth
and when Abe my little brother of vodka with Abe.
But when Abe is no longer school captain and he's
left school, we will definitely have a whole episode on
that eighteenth because Marley, you will shit yourself anyway.
Speaker 4 (03:20):
It was I want to hear it. It was I
want to hear the nightmare eighteenth year old birthday party stories.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
Ah, So good. I had tab a shot with my
little brother on you need to compulse. Yeah, anyway, and
like celebrating that I no longer have to buy younger
siblings alcohol anymore.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
Ye'are huge because you used to do that a lot.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
I feel I'm finally at the end of my what
is it my job? I guess it's my description. Yep,
no longer.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
Before we go on, can I just congratulate you on,
you know, your sobriety, because that's that's really hard to do,
I feel like within your social setting, especially to try
and hold yourself back from drinking, especially when people out
there like A're so convincing. Come on, have a drink
this and that. Yeah, and you used to You used
to party till you used to party too. Do you
(04:09):
think you get that from like your mum or dad?
Me and Michelle have had some good parties.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
Don't you think just this Aussie culture like we drink
twelve years old?
Speaker 1 (04:17):
Definitely? Wait, you've been drinking since.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
When, like you're twelve like years old?
Speaker 1 (04:23):
Wow? Yeah, I don't know, maybe not me, but yeah,
but it does start early.
Speaker 4 (04:28):
Do your parents drink a lot?
Speaker 1 (04:29):
Let's ask him?
Speaker 3 (04:30):
Come on, let's call wait, I said, let's call Michelle
because I have a sorry yes, yes, yes, yes, wait
I forgot mom has mom? Yes, Mom, you're just on
the podcast. Oh hello, oh hello? Because because remember when
(04:52):
you went out with Russell Crowe and you did cocaine?
Speaker 4 (04:55):
Go out with him?
Speaker 3 (04:58):
But can you tell the story.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
We were just at a pub that everyone used to
go to, Richard Wilkinson's pub, and I didn't do cocaine
with him.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
What was the story?
Speaker 4 (05:14):
I was introduced.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
I was introduced to.
Speaker 5 (05:16):
Him because there was a record thing on my friends
from Festival Records and we I got introduced to him
because he was on his own and introduced to him
and chatted him for a bit.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
Marley wants to know if you gave him a blowie.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
Hang on, Marley would never ask me thank you.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
That is why I love you. That is why I
love you.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
Okay, Wait, so you didn't do anything with him. I
didn't do anything with him.
Speaker 1 (05:46):
I talked to you about the part.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
I chatted him for a while. We went downstairs.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
I did it with the manager, and in train fashion,
everybody rusty.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
With Rusty, Rusty the manager, okay, not with pro okay, okay.
And so the end question is did you have a
party era, Yeah, definitely, okay, good to know.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
Love you, miss guys. Can I just can we start
a whole like spin off side podcast of just these
calls like this could erection?
Speaker 3 (06:32):
Honestly, we can test.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
It is so unfiltered, like you don't know what you're
gonna get, especially you guys.
Speaker 3 (06:39):
Were giving me ship thinking, Oh no, she never did cocaine.
Speaker 4 (06:43):
She did it with the manager.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
I told you she did.
Speaker 4 (06:47):
Say I didn't do cocaine with him, she did.
Speaker 1 (06:51):
I love you, Michelle, honestly, I had some good times
with Miss. I cannot wait to have a have a
drink with her very soon.
Speaker 4 (06:59):
Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
Wait, Marley Moly. I just remembered we were at the
opening of Wolf Bar. Do you remember this?
Speaker 1 (07:06):
You and me?
Speaker 3 (07:07):
Yeah? Yeah, you and I after big brother Lynn and
Marley were here and we went to the opening of
Wolf Bar. I didn't even write this down. I just remembered.
And this couple wanted to bang Marley like wanted like
it was giving Swinger vibe so hard.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
Remember that was like he was range.
Speaker 3 (07:27):
Yeah, and the girl was smacking his arse and stuff,
and I was so rude. Yeah, it was so rude
because his girlfriend was here all the way from America,
so straight.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
Yeah it was, and for everyone listening, it wouldn't matter
if your girlfriend is here from Sydney.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
Anyway, get done. But I'm like, we're here to show
Lenne a good time and this what girl is smacking
Marley's ask?
Speaker 2 (07:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
I went up and I was like, that is so disrespectful,
Like he's clearly here with his girlfriend, Like like, do
you want a pipe or not? Like what are you
trying to do? Yes, Like I'm just confused. Anyway, she messaged.
She messaged me on Instagram afterwards and was like I'm
so sorry what were you What was I trying to do?
(08:11):
And I was like, babe, what do you mean? What
were you trying to do? Like it's just I reckon.
It's just so annoying when people try and maybe because
I've been cheated on so many times, I just find
it so annoying when people try and like get with
girls with boyfriends, I mean with boys and girlfriends, Like
there's science behind it that you're more attractive, even.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
Have you had a lot of girls? Have you had
a lot of girls try and hit on Tom in.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
Front of your yes and people I've known and I'm like.
Speaker 4 (08:36):
Fuck, were you saying that? She messaged you being like, oh,
I don't know what I was trying to do, as in,
she was drinking and trying to like pretend that she
was drunk and didn't remember.
Speaker 1 (08:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
I think so she wanted to find a message to
cop out.
Speaker 2 (08:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
I think she was saying like, oh, I'm sorry, Yeah,
I completely forgot about all that. Yeah. That was a
that was a that was a crazy night. And then
we ended up just leaving the venue as well.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
That was well ready, okay, hey girl, oh we didn't
include this spot. I commented on her post, what did
you say? I can't I don't know what. I commented
on her post. It was a photo of her and
her boyfriend, and I was probably like, how are you
trying to act like you have a boyfriend if like
you're trying to get with another about trying to start drama?
Speaker 1 (09:21):
Just ignored all grace, like, you know, just said nothing.
Get to the bottom and just take this girl down,
you know what I mean? There, I am like just
I couldn't even care, you know, Like I just.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
She goes, hey, ye, I saw your reply to my comment.
I don't remember doing that. Lamo. But I'm literally so embarrassed.
There you go, you know whatever? I yeah, I hope
you know. Whatever I did was just me being drunk
and goofy.
Speaker 4 (09:50):
Like there you go, trying to get out of here.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
I wasn't trying to creep on him any who. Yeah,
I hope that clearsed up, as I'd hate you or
anyone to think I'm that sort of person she thought.
Speaker 1 (10:06):
She thought Tilly was going a daily mail with that one.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
This was influencer party as well. Yeah, this was an
influencer thing, so she probably was worrying.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
Oh my god, Wow, surely, surely you have some because
I remember the night we had out in Saint Kiled.
Until you've had some night like some drunken nights as.
Speaker 4 (10:25):
Well, right, have you guys had a party rat?
Speaker 1 (10:28):
Party rat?
Speaker 3 (10:29):
This was my twenty first birthday. Yeah, we actually hung
out on my twenty.
Speaker 4 (10:34):
First and you and Molly, okay, we'll tell was that
your birthday? Yes, that's why I was.
Speaker 1 (10:40):
It was okay, talk about a party rat error here here, guys,
everyone listening, right, I walk into and Michelle was there.
I walk into their place where they're staying in Melbourne,
and as soon as I walk in, I see Tilly
with a full bottle of vodka, couldn't even know what
type of Vodker it is, necking the bottle the cheapest
vodka and her mom Michelle yelling at her telling her
(11:03):
to put the bottle down untill he kind of like
running away from her mum as she's still drinking, clearly
not listening. And I'm like, what is this night going
to turn out?
Speaker 2 (11:13):
Like?
Speaker 4 (11:13):
You know, this is like a good way to start.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
That's actually my signature makes sense, that is you always
just drink straight, but it's so gross.
Speaker 3 (11:24):
It's the best. What do you mean if you do
like five shots before you go out, you're basically free
drinks all night.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
And and do you think that's like the healthiest way
to drink, like the like the lowest amount of cowls? Right?
Speaker 3 (11:36):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (11:38):
What cost what?
Speaker 1 (11:41):
Wait? Yes, yeah, it is absolutely Wait till we get
to the end of the night because of what costs
till he's ending up literally naked in the beach in
Saint Kilda, like running into the water at my friend.
Sorry Tilly and her friends.
Speaker 3 (11:54):
I don't know if our friend wants to be.
Speaker 1 (11:56):
Exposed, no exposed exposure friend, Yeah, and I'm like telling
you you have to take an uber home. What do
you what do you think is gonna have this?
Speaker 3 (12:05):
We were wet and soggy, at wet.
Speaker 4 (12:08):
Was this like the whole crew was still together or
was it late and everyone had drifted off?
Speaker 1 (12:12):
And everyone drifted off? It was just us three now,
like literally trying to wrap this thing up. I'm trying
to get these two.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
Malie had already ordered himself. We were boasting this stuff everywhere.
We've got full video proop.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
I know, I put you in an uber first. I
was like, I'm not leaving until you guys get into
this uber.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
Yeah, but you were already ordering it.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
A yeah, I'm like, I go get this train wreck
while I can.
Speaker 3 (12:38):
We were soaking wet. Oh my god, it was so
much fun. It was so much fun. Oh I'm pretty
sure we were actually in our clothes, fully clothed.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
Yeah maybe you were, yeah, Oh yeah you were, Yeah,
you were clothed.
Speaker 4 (12:49):
Okay, I would you rather be fully clothed and jumping
into the ocean or would you rather be naked and
jumping into the No?
Speaker 3 (12:57):
It was killed us so, like, I think there was
a lot of people around still, I.
Speaker 4 (13:01):
Would rather naked.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
I think naked.
Speaker 3 (13:03):
Yeah, oh my god. Like I always go swimming when
I'm drinking, like mum knows that's our thing because we
always have parties at our house and then run to
the beach and sweep. And normally I would skinny dip
at Kalka Beach because it's like, I don't know, it's
very secluded and quiet, like there's no but this was
some kildaf Everyone was walking along the front.
Speaker 1 (13:23):
You don't want to be literally literally people are walking
around like what in the hell's wrong with that? That
is so like you were talking about before, that's just
such auzzy culture, you know what I mean, get drunk
and run into a beach? Do you hear what it is? Actually? Yeah,
totally is. And trying to think if what's worse like
Australian culture or like US culture in terms of drinking.
Speaker 4 (13:43):
I get, what's it like in this stage?
Speaker 3 (13:44):
Don't they drink so late in the States, like late
at night, like late in age like cause you guys have.
Speaker 1 (13:51):
To drinking until twenty one. Yeah. I literally was eighteen
and then I came over to school and they're like, yeah,
you can't drink, And I'm like, what do you mean
I'm drinking, like, yeah, go away, you know another three years?
Like what Definitely college college drinking culture is crazy.
Speaker 3 (14:06):
Yeah, well you don't need to go to a club
like you just drink it frontouses and stuff and it's.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
Like alcohol's chair. And it's probably different now with inflation,
but back when we went to school, it was like
you'd go to like the supermarket, like the store called Ralphs.
I remember the exact store. You'd go down down the
drink aisle and you'd grab like a huge flask again
like a one leader or two leader I think, like
bottle of vodka and it's in like a plastic bottle.
(14:32):
It's not even a glass bottle, and it's like six dollars. Guys,
this was pure like jet fuel, you know what I mean.
And you'd take this thing to the Yeah it was.
It was not good for you, you, oh terrible, But
that's called that's like college culture.
Speaker 3 (14:44):
Yeah, don't you reckon? Does that remind you of when
you were young and you'd get a plastic bottle and
you'd fill up your parents alcohol to a certain line,
like you'd measure it where the line was. You'd market
they need to take some and then you'd feel some
more water into.
Speaker 4 (14:59):
It, so it would just be like a drink bottle
with just a little bit of everything, yes, like whatever
you can find, and it would just be this like
black mixture. Literally, it looks like whiskey gin.
Speaker 1 (15:15):
Your parents would mix all that stuff.
Speaker 3 (15:17):
Yeah, yeah, you're stealing everything, yeah yeah, and then yeah,
well what Grace is saying, And you'd get like absolutely
mortal because you've got bits and pieces of everything, but
you you never want to get caught, so you'd have
to like fill it up, so like you feel like
the bit of Yeah, if you took that much vodka out,
(15:39):
you'd put that much water in, and Mom would be like,
what does my gin taste weird?
Speaker 1 (15:44):
Don't? So you try and refell?
Speaker 3 (15:48):
Wait, did you guys ever do this? You'd pay like
older boys, like an extra ten dollar tip to buy
you out, Colin. That's how they'd make their money.
Speaker 1 (15:57):
No, I never need Actually you have an.
Speaker 3 (16:00):
Older sister, Yeah you're fine. Yeah I didn't have an
older siblings, So I just paid this bloke called Matt.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
What's your what's your what's your favorite drinkers? Like if
you go to a bar, you get up there, peanut,
colada I discover.
Speaker 4 (16:16):
I mean, I wouldn't go to a bar and order
a peanut colada like I just when I was traveling
I realized I was like, oh my god, it's summer
where in Europe I'm drinking a damn peanut colada. Doesn't
get better than a bar probably, just like you know,
I feel like it would be a bit extra to
order a pina colt.
Speaker 3 (16:32):
Just an expensive night getting junk on paenus.
Speaker 1 (16:35):
Yeah, and they would just put probably like a pineapple
leaf in it too. You'd look a little, you look
a little Yeah, as an outlier, you know in this
in this bar? What about you till just straight vodka
from you? Huh?
Speaker 3 (16:46):
It's like what Grace is saying, But yeah, straight vodka.
But like if you're going for a cocktail, like nothing
beats a painut or a light chi martini or Mark
so good. It's like having dessert, don't you reckon? It's
like thirty bucks. Like I'm like, can I really justify this? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (17:04):
No, definitely not. Yeah, I'm big on tequila. Now.
Speaker 3 (17:07):
Did you know, like there was a massive myth that
tequila is like the only drink that's not a depressant.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
Yes, until literally not true. Probably a couple of months ago.
I thought that this whole.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
Jay told us, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
J did you've ruined that whole?
Speaker 4 (17:21):
Not a depressant?
Speaker 3 (17:22):
What the hell I mean?
Speaker 1 (17:23):
I'm so upset.
Speaker 4 (17:24):
Yeah, it is a depressant.
Speaker 3 (17:26):
Yeah, I believed that. I believed it too.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
Yeah, it's not a stimulant. I thought it was the
only upper and I was just like, yeah, this is great.
Speaker 4 (17:33):
They have a good marketing team.
Speaker 1 (17:35):
Yeah, to be.
Speaker 3 (17:36):
Fair, you do have a lit night on tequila.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
Tequilla is the best and you Yeah, you just wake
up feeling fresh, you know what I mean?
Speaker 3 (17:42):
Oh, I get the worst hangover from tequila. That's the
one thing I get hungover from. Where did you say that? Yeah? Anyway,
speaking of tequila, there was this one night me and
my friend. We had like this Mexican friend that was
a guy okay, and he was like, my mom's got
this fresh bottle of tequila, Like, let's go out. We
(18:04):
were like sixteen anyway, so we sneak out. Everyone snuck
out the window. We're drinking like this nice, really nice
bottle of tequila with like these guys and my friends. Yeah, anyway,
my friend accidentally this We're so young with snuck out
the window at my house. My friend accidentally butt dials
(18:26):
her mom in the and where in the middle of
Manly and her mom's like hello, like like how did
you just call me? Like where are you? And obviously
the beach is rolling like we're having a good time,
like yeah, there was no playing it off. Yeah and yep,
so pretty much she said, you need to go to
(18:49):
Manly police station. Now called my mom and everyone had
to get picked up and we got a mass of trouble.
Speaker 1 (18:56):
Stop.
Speaker 4 (18:58):
I want you to go to the police station and.
Speaker 1 (19:00):
Disc That's one way to discipline your children, you know
what I mean.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
You didn't and we had to get picked up from there.
Speaker 1 (19:06):
And your mom, your mum agreges, She's like, yep, go
take them to the police station. Yep, you know what,
fair plate saw them to be honest, fair play. That's
one way to try and stop your child from going
through that ratty era. Unfortunately it didn't help Tilly, but
you know now, I mean did to a point you did?
Like why did you want to become sober till like
(19:27):
were you because you obviously had these crazy stories and
these crazy times where you were drinkings just straight from
the bottle, like were you just over it or did
you feel like it wasn't helping your health or well
you wanted to do it.
Speaker 3 (19:39):
Yeah. Tom wanted to do like a like challenge for January,
and I was like why not. It was like money
saving incentive, Yeah, after New Year's because we had a
bad New Years and there was a bit of incentive
because like it saved so much money after the first
because me and Tom love cocktails, we spent four hundred
dollars a week. I'm not and then food ubers like everything,
(20:05):
so we're like, okay, gave that a crack, and I
just like continued, like obviously he saved a deposit for
a house just I would say, purely from not drinking.
I honestly believe that because there was no way we
were saving. Like that's an extra four hundred dollars a
week that you're saving. Really Yeah, So and he got
(20:28):
the apartment, so I guess that's like a living proof
that that worked. But for me, it was really the
challenge because it made me think psychologically, what is the
reason that we drink? Why do I feel the need
to have it? And I think that really shows when
you go out because you do feel like you need
(20:51):
something in your hand, and I'd always just have like
a lemonade or so you think, yeah, like I just
it just feels weird when you don't have a drink
in your hand.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
Don't saying it out loud. You sound stupid obviously saying it,
but you're completely correct. Like you just feel off, you
know what I mean, When all your friends and peers
are having a drink and you're just standing there with
your phone in your hands. It's almost like you're being
anti social for not drinking alcohol.
Speaker 4 (21:14):
Oh that's so true, you know what I mean. And
people like if you go to and they're all drinking
nice wine and like, oh you're not drinking yeah no,
and they're like oh, and it's like it brings the
mood down if it.
Speaker 3 (21:24):
Does, it's like judgmental.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
Especially the boys are the boys are the worst. If
you'ren't having to drink around the boys. Oh my god,
forget it. You're gonna hear it absolutely, you know a yeah,
girls are way nice around the boys if you're not
having a drink. Yeah, Oh my god. So I've had
to say stay strong so.
Speaker 4 (21:40):
Long because it's so like it's such a huge part
of like being festive and like being celebratory and social.
It's like when it's not there, people really feel like
something's missing.
Speaker 3 (21:49):
You know what. But I will say that I truly
believe in the saying you get high off the vibe,
like you're literally you can get sober junk by us
being present and if you get involved and you start
dancing and the music's good and you've got like a
sugar free lemonade in your hand, like nothing's better in
the world, honestly, Like I actually mean it. Also, I
(22:12):
think you know how to call it quits. Like it's like, Okay,
this night's not gone, Well let's go anyway, Molly, what.
Speaker 4 (22:17):
Were you going to say?
Speaker 1 (22:18):
Well, I was going to say now, because this is
really interesting because you've gone from having a party era
to then going completely dry and sober, so like, like,
do you think it's worth drinking? Do you think you're
able to drink in moderation or do you think you
just have to call it quits and go call it turkey?
What do you think the best way around drinking and
drinking culture is in your mind? You know your growth extremes.
Speaker 3 (22:41):
Well, Dad always says to me, like your only problem
is that you don't know the limit or when to stop.
And I do agree with that. I think it's just
being self aware and knowing like, Okay, I want to
have a drink, but when am I going to call
it quits? What alcohol doesn't work for me? Like meat
to kill and crying the whole night.
Speaker 1 (23:02):
I've seen that. I've been around that. Could you want
to say, literally you have to take an hour and
a half out of the night just to calm till you.
Speaker 3 (23:10):
Down anyway, So that's it's just knowing your boundaries, your limits,
and just like being aware of conscious of what you're spending,
Like you don't need to drink cocktails all night. Maybe
when you're sober and you can enjoy the taste, Let's
spend fifteen dollars on two cocktails and then from then on,
(23:30):
I'm just gonna have three vod casodas. Like you know,
it's just about self awareness.
Speaker 1 (23:35):
What are your self awareness?
Speaker 3 (23:36):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (23:36):
I agree, and they have it. Like I think what
you're saying as well is just to drink in moderation,
And that's what I would say, Like if if that
works for you, obviously I would I would say drinking
and moderation is completely healthy. It's completely fine to go
out and have It's all relative to who you are.
So it might be a couple of glasses for someone
maybe it's four glasses for someone else. But if you're
just self aware like you were saying, and kind of
(23:57):
you know, being considerate of how much you're spending, how
much you're taking in how this is affecting you. I
think there's a healthy balance to drinking and drinking culture,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (24:07):
Yeah, yeah, totally.
Speaker 3 (24:08):
And when you're young, like you drink to get drunk,
Like now it's like, oh can I drink to enjoy
the drink and feel like a bit of that just
calmness and like just tingle baby. Yeah, that tipsy will
feel like I'm out of my life. Yeah, you love it.
It just like gives you a second of like, oh,
I'm not present in all the chaos that's going on
right now.
Speaker 4 (24:28):
Totally and just like enjoy it.
Speaker 1 (24:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (24:30):
You know the places in the world where people live
the longest. Have you heard of blue zones?
Speaker 2 (24:34):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (24:34):
I watched that.
Speaker 4 (24:36):
Yes, the areas in the world where there's the highest
concentration of sanitarians or whatever it's called people who live
over one hundred years old. They studied, like what lifestyle
aspects all these places have in common? And one of
them is that they all drink red wine. Like they
all like red wine deep, like heavy tannins or whatever
it's called. Red wine is Like they're drinking it all
(24:58):
the time.
Speaker 1 (24:58):
I've heard it's good for your heart. Heard red is
good for your heart?
Speaker 3 (25:01):
Are you guys wine drinkers? Not really Molly your wine drinker?
Speaker 4 (25:06):
I've heard.
Speaker 1 (25:07):
Yeah, I love red absolutely.
Speaker 3 (25:08):
Okay, I need to try and get around it. I
can't wine.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
It's fabulous. It's so you go red wine guys.
Speaker 4 (25:15):
If you yeah.
Speaker 1 (25:17):
Twenty one in America, jump on the red. Yeah, you
can just live longer.
Speaker 3 (25:22):
Yeah. Okay. So in conclusion, drink and moderation. Yeah, all right,
is it time for a few trainees? All right, this
is a few. What is your worst two drunk stories? Okay,
(25:44):
we're ready.
Speaker 4 (25:44):
I'm ready passed.
Speaker 3 (25:46):
Out drunk while running a bath. The water caved in
my downstairs neighbors ceiling.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
No, no, I feel like that's something would happen to you,
Tilly for sure?
Speaker 3 (25:59):
So true? Okay, next, Oh, this is bad. Grabbed a
good friend's mom's tits when I was a teenager. The
next morning I knew something wasn't right and things were
never the same.
Speaker 1 (26:12):
Grabbed are good friends? Imagine that you cannot. You got
to stop being friends because that is so uncomfortable for
the friend. Sleep again, you know what I mean?
Speaker 4 (26:25):
That's so true, Marley Away.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
Imagine breakfast the next day.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
No way, he obviously had the hearts. I say, good
on him. You know what. The boy group would be
loving that.
Speaker 1 (26:37):
Oh, the lads would love it. But other than that
friend though, like, yeah, the other boys would be happy
for him.
Speaker 4 (26:44):
Yeah, okay.
Speaker 3 (26:45):
So I went to a party with a car full
of friends. We got there, started mingling. Next thing I knew,
I woke up in the woods in a sleeping bag
with eight beers tucked inside. What that's scary.
Speaker 1 (26:56):
That made my stomach feel very very strange.
Speaker 3 (26:58):
Yeah, that's kind of freaking me out of it.
Speaker 4 (27:00):
This is in the woods.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
If you were drinking, sleeping.
Speaker 1 (27:04):
Bad things like that are happening. You know you're going
of course.
Speaker 4 (27:07):
Yeah, or has has this person just gone on and
done the right thing? While I was drunk and thought,
oh this is lovely, I'll go have a little camping
you know, grab my sleeping bag, fill it up with
a few BEVs, get me through the night. That's so
positive under the stars.
Speaker 1 (27:22):
And I love the fact that you that you mentioned
that it was noble as well, because then you can
wake up the next day. You know. This was Yeah,
this was a noble quest of mind. Let's go run
this back next weekend.
Speaker 4 (27:32):
This was for you know how you do that when
you get drunk and you just get this little side
quest for you know, it's all about I hope it
was a side quest.
Speaker 3 (27:41):
The side courst is what makes life.
Speaker 1 (27:42):
Yeah, yeah, let's go with that. Was that was a
side quest. Good on him.
Speaker 3 (27:46):
Okay, next runner, Oh, okay, had a really drunk friend
who boned a girl he just met. According to his acquaintance,
he did the deed, took a ship in her bed,
wiped his ass with her sheets, and quickly left. Mally,
that's giving your friend's story that you'll have.
Speaker 1 (28:03):
Yeah, we need we need to tell that for another time,
because that is a long story. That is giving that.
Speaker 4 (28:09):
I'm rattled. I hated that, Okay, I hated everything about it.
Speaker 3 (28:13):
This guy had a bit of a wild night. I
don't really know this O'Malley, you're gonna have to give
reference downloaded an entire season of Chris Angel's Mind Freak
on Xbox three sixty Angels. Okay, anyway, he's paid for
a heap of games. Basically, then he woke up with
noodles in his pocket and pissed his pants.
Speaker 1 (28:34):
Hey, that's another side quest, bro there.
Speaker 3 (28:37):
Side quests was getting up to a bit.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
Yeah he was. He was crushing that. Good on him.
Speaker 3 (28:43):
All right, let's leave it there.
Speaker 1 (28:44):
Yeah, let's let's end on that. Wow, that was that
got intense. That got intense.
Speaker 3 (28:49):
That was fun.
Speaker 1 (28:50):
Yeah, that was fun. Thanks, Thanks everyone for listening, Thank
you guys for telling us. A couple of stories by
you guys are you telling? And congratulations on your sobriety.
Speaker 3 (28:59):
Thank you when coming. Let's just mention we don't condone
underage drinking. I think we grew up in a very
different time.
Speaker 1 (29:07):
We do not condone underage drinking.
Speaker 3 (29:09):
It does destroy your brain.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
But unless you're drinking red wine, red wine will allow
you to Okay, again, we don't condone drinking red wine.
You know, just just drink appropriately. Drink he you want
to drink, and you guys make that much as decision
when you're older. All right, let's get out of it
until you get to working. Love you, guys,
