Speaker 1 (00:00):
Here at two Good Sports.
Speaker 2 (00:01):
We would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of the
land on which we record this podcast.
Speaker 1 (00:05):
There were, injurie.
Speaker 3 (00:06):
People, this land was never seated.
Speaker 1 (00:08):
Always was, always will be.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
Dear listeners, we are coming in hot, and we are
coming in laughing because.
Speaker 3 (00:20):
Are we hinged?
Speaker 4 (00:21):
Now?
Speaker 1 (00:22):
Completely unhinged?
Speaker 2 (00:23):
Because what a day, What a very very very very
big day in a very very very very big week.
I'm Georgie Toney, and I'm as we all know.
Speaker 4 (00:34):
You know, you guys have a lot of male sports
fans that listen to your podcast, and I think we
all know that if there's one thing that male sports
fans want to see in their spaces and on their screens, it's.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
More of me. Have you tell me I've never related
to something more in my life. Taylor Swift is dropping
an album and she chose to do it on the
sports podcast that Isn't Ours, and I just feel like
that's a personal attack.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
It is a person attack, but you know what, I've
taken it as an opportunity for future opportunity.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
I mean, you have your finger in both camps. You
both have a Taylor Swift podcast with award winning and
a sports podcast right, So you're like, babe, now that
you've broken your podcast Jerry and have decided this is
what you're doing.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
Hello, Hello, the Van diagram, it's me, the ven diagram is.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
But genuinely, I had and I'm not exaggerating, six different
people message me asking about your welfare. So how are you?
Because the thing about Taylor Swift is like, if you're
a Rihanna fan, you'd be waiting in the desert hoping
if Harry Styles will please drop an album. He's dropping
other things.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
He's dropping vibrator, he's drinking, drinking your fency lip glosses amusing.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
But you are in an oasis where the woman just
writes while she's touring.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
We get constantly fed, you do, and it's good because
we are the hungriest of fans, so she can work
her little ass off.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
And I still did.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
We've got the tour which she did.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
Which she did and continues to do for her entire life,
and I'm still like, excuse me?
Speaker 1 (02:08):
Is this on day? Where are you? Where are you?
It's been at least a year, at least a year.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
With nothing, and then the news this week, see you're
next era. I nia fainted right there, I.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
Saw the footage also just for context, Dealstener George's wearing
a Kansas City Swifts, right, that's right, because they exist.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
Yeah, because this is this is this is the application
for Taylor to come on too good Sports.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
This is what we need.
Speaker 3 (02:36):
I mean, it needs to happen.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
Yeah, it has to happen. It has to happen. We
need to have this as the thumbnail.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
I mean, tay her awareness to laugh at herself about
the fact that men the world over are like there
Taylor Swift, and she's like, I don't care.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
It's second to none. It's second to none.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
I mean, if we think back to the iconic album
Reputation and the iconic music video for Look What You
Made Me Do, and the iconic exit of that video
where it's her and all of herselves, and it's like,
look at her playing the victim again, like she's always
always been able to. Actually that's not true. The first
half of her career couldn't laugh at herself too much. No,
from then ever since has been able to laugh at
(03:14):
herself and not take it too serious.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
Because I think back to the super Bowl where she
was on the screen and Eagles fans who Jason Kelce
played for and was.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Originally Taylor's team. She was an Eagles fan boot something.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
It was really uncomfortable them up, lock them at my core.
I'm like, she's there supporting a boyfriend. She doesn't call
the networks and say put me on the screen four
hundred times. They're feeding you, and by you, I mean
I'm looking at Georgie. They're feeding the masses.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
Feeding the Swifties.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
So you can't blame a gal for rocking up and
supporting a partner.
Speaker 4 (03:46):
No.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
And also those people that are doing probably have nieces, daughters,
young boys who are huge Swifties who now watch football
because they're trying to.
Speaker 3 (03:55):
Get a glimpse of it. And she's I mean, Travis
Kelsey's a golden Retriever, not to be confused with the
wide receiver because we know that he's a tight end.
There's so many sporting analogies that can really go into this.
Have you Georgie Tunney yet warmed to the idea of
them as a couple. No, George can't cop it because
all of our exits have been brooding. Music's muso, I
(04:16):
should say. And now she's like this one's too obvious, and.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
They've been my favorite type.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
But god, she looks happy.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
Do you know what I mean? She looks So that's
what you say when you hate your friend's boyfriends.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
Well, I'm so glad she's happy.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
Yeah, so you hate him still when does the exit
plan happen?
Speaker 2 (04:31):
It's funny that you say that, because I am that friend,
you know, when it's like your your best mate, she
brings their new partner and it's like.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
Oh my god, look at him. Isn't he glittery?
Speaker 2 (04:41):
And you're just trying to look anywhere else because the
red flags.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
Yep, yep, yep, yep.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
I do think that it's wonderful that he loves her.
Speaker 3 (04:53):
Okay, so that's our good sport. Our good sport is
the fac spot that Georgie is able to concentrate because
right now there's something about boxes being unveiled and a
countdown and she's on another sports podcast. But we are
bringing the attention back.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
Yes, we're bringing it back. We're bringing it back.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
Most of people h it's taken us a while to
mention this. We have the AFL CEO on the podcast.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
And on any other episode we lead with, but I
think we can all agree there's just layers here.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
There are there are layers as you are the layers,
let's be honest. But we love deals and we love
that he's coming on because there's so much talk about
with Snoop and also the afl W launching, so we'll
be hitting him hard on those topics. But Georgie, in
the nature of actually having a good sport or a
bad sport. Yes, did you see the story this week
about the crying baby at the tennis No?
Speaker 1 (05:42):
So, oh my god, I haven't.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
Emma Ratikado I love her, is playing Arenasablinka and there
is a child crying. They stopped play because she goes
to the umpire and essentially says, it's been ten minutes.
Now hang on, let me just plays a click. It's
a child.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
Do you want me to go send the child out
of the stadium. I mean not to be all archbarker
about it, but get the baby out of tennis court.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
The baby out of the And now I say this
as a woman who has many sporting events that I'd
love to go to, but I don't because I got
two small kids and very few people I can handle
them to, and I would handle at times to go
to a nose open final, or to see Ammaronicadu taking
on Arena Sabolenka. Yes, if your child is making noise
(06:35):
at a place where umpires go sh I welcome. And
we've had friends heroically take small children to sporting events
the second they go meh, you need to run. Yes
at Olympic, speed out of that stadium, I fully, And
(06:55):
the same with comedy shows. I just think, no r
space know your chapter. Get a babysitter, yeap, don't know.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
Well, I was so interested to have your take on
this because you have the children.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
So I'm glad that we're a line.
Speaker 3 (07:10):
This is the one time, this is the one time
a week I get to escape for me. You're kidding me.
I love them, love them, They're great, but like to
have no one have asked me for the last ten
minutes because something's unreal.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
I'm with you, I'm with you, and I do I
feel for that person because you don't.
Speaker 3 (07:24):
It's ten It must have been going forever.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
But you imagine at the start of that be like, oh,
they're going to settle, They're going to settle and just.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
Say it's fine, it's fine. No one's listening. No, it's listening.
The reaction of the wider crowd.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
Then when the umpire goes, do you want me to
ask them to get rid of the baby, and the
whole crowd went yes, Then you know that it's gone
on for a wee bit too long. And I have
gone to the tennis with a mutual friend of ours
and my little niece who has seen Raphael Nadar before
her first birthday.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
Well, let's think about that. What a lucky child.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
I was an angel.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
It was an angel, and she was absolutely silent.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
And I know mom and Mom the second there was
a peep would have ran.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
Oh, yes, run. And this says not.
Speaker 3 (08:04):
To be confused with children on flights. Children on flights,
if they're crying, the mummy is going through an existential crisis.
You're so different you can't vope the baby off the plane.
Different levels, but this in sport. Do not take your
child to sport where there can't be loud noises at
any given point.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
Yes, I'm with you, I'm with you, Champagne Poppin', we've
done that in the crowd that gets hushed, That gets hushed.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
Actually, if I had a rollie on my arm and
I was pouring end on and I rolled the best
weed because I got it going on. I just wonder
if they're the lyrics that we're going to see pregame
at the AFL Entertainment Midday with your Crying Children videos
coming up next. Andrew Dylan, AFL CEO.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
So many letters there, Andrew Dylon, Welcome to Too Good Sports.
Speaker 5 (09:02):
Thank you for having me excited to be here.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
We are absolutely thrilled that you are here.
Speaker 1 (09:06):
And what a day. What a day for you to
join this.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
Podcast because Tellswift announcing an album, but also because Snoop
going to be performing at the AFL Grand Finals, such
a huge get. We've got to ask you for You
are massive Snoop fan.
Speaker 5 (09:22):
I'm a fan, more of a fan today than I
was a couple of days ago. But look, we're really
excited to have someone like of his caliber. He's performed
at the super Bowl, performed at the Olympics and now
he gets to perform on the biggest stage in Australian sports.
So we're pumped.
Speaker 2 (09:36):
What's the process like of locking in an artist like Snoop?
Speaker 1 (09:39):
How does it happen?
Speaker 5 (09:40):
It's really it's more complicated than you'd think because there's
so many potential artists you can talk to, and then
their schedules are so you know, organized so far in advance,
so you've got this long list of everyone who you
want to talk to. Then you filter it down pretty
quickly and then find availability. But when we found out
that who was available, he was just like he shot
(10:02):
straight to the top. And then it's been a couple
of months of negotiation, but we've been fingers crossed the whole.
Speaker 3 (10:07):
Way snoop for our generation. Like I think back to
parties when we were fourteen or fifteen, when we thought
we had a rollie on our arms, like all of
these things that we were singing, And now I read
some of the lyrics and I think I'm really glad
I didn't know what they were when I was at
that age. Ye, are you going to be very heavy
handed with the set list or to get any influence
because it's not daytime.
Speaker 5 (10:26):
Some of it that sort of created things well out
of my wheelhouse. But I think I've seen what he
did at the Olympics, and he has got sort of
family friendly versions of the songs, so I think we'll
see a little bit of.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
That you mentioned the Olympics. He fully infiltrates and embraces sport.
He's the perfect selection if you're going to have both
pop culture and sport because he immerses himself in it.
And we want to know, do you think we're any
chance of getting him to do commentary because this is
him at the Paris Games calling the steeple chase. If
I can just get an example here of his best efforts.
Speaker 5 (10:57):
Dip repin run, slipping and hopefully naturally.
Speaker 3 (11:02):
Get a part of him. I want to come up
behind him.
Speaker 5 (11:04):
Certainly do play horses, I love it, and they run
a slow but oh he's jumped on the top of
the hurdle.
Speaker 3 (11:10):
You can do that.
Speaker 5 (11:11):
That was a cool trick, faked out when off the
tippy tap.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
I mean, if he thinks that the steeple chase is
contact and exciting. Can you imagine if we managed to
get snoop with a mic just for the until the
first goal on Grand Final Day? Surely we need to put.
Speaker 5 (11:26):
It to him. I think we'll put it to him,
but I think if it was anything close to that,
it'd be pretty interesting as well.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
Can you imagine just the reaction I mean, him watching
one of the best marks potentially ever taken on Grand
Final Day? Like Snoop will melt down, he'll melt.
Speaker 3 (11:44):
Down and more the point, I think he'd be keen.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
Oh, he would totally be.
Speaker 3 (11:46):
He's already been seen wearing different merch of clubs, right
he's retweeted.
Speaker 5 (11:50):
Yeah that's right. Yeah, he's up there. Look, he's getting
up to speed with the game. He's certainly aware of it.
He's got his share and he's practicing his handbles and
his kicks, and I think, yeah, well he's really keen
to come and you stay around and watch the game
as well. So we've already organized spots for him to watch,
and so that was a big part of the negotiation.
Speaker 3 (12:07):
Making sure it gets a sweet Yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
Yeah, I know you're a fan of Snoop. What would
Baby Dylan's number one act be if you if you
took it out of it? We're so we're so on
board with Snoop.
Speaker 3 (12:17):
We love. We're not for the hundred thousand, we're for
the one. For the way were you wanting to perform
because you already did mine, Robbie Williams, Oh yes. And
the fact that I got to meet him, I genuinely
said to him, thank you for all the memories you
gave my family and because we had all of seven
minutes with him, and I was like, thank you for
all you've done, and he was like, have we got
a safety this woman? Because and he was unbelievable. But
(12:38):
who would be your number one?
Speaker 5 (12:39):
Well? Given on maybe it's slightly older than you guys. Yeah,
if you could, I reckon bands of the caliber of
like a U two or an ac dcity all the
stars would be amazing. But I'm not sure that you
know they don't necessarily appeal to everyone, but that they're
sort of like right where I'd like to go.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
They sort of do.
Speaker 2 (12:55):
I mean makes Dagger and Keith Richard would also love
AFL love it as a product.
Speaker 5 (12:59):
The other way, who I would love and they are
playing at Marvel later this year is Oasis?
Speaker 2 (13:03):
Oh come on come, I mean, I mean that's the
crossover we dream of.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
That would be amazing.
Speaker 3 (13:10):
How much with Snoop?
Speaker 1 (13:11):
Yeah, you're so right, You're so right.
Speaker 3 (13:13):
That would be an interesting It would it would be
an interesting.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
Take now, Andrew, it may surprise you. We do a
lot of maths on this podcast. We like to say
we get the abacus out and we run some we
run some numbers. How much does an act like Snoop?
How much does that cost?
Speaker 5 (13:28):
Look, it's a it's an investment, it's worth making and
I think we know you get returns on everything that
you put investment into. And we've already seen this year,
just with the announcement the other day, the unbelievable Richard's
had via social media and the like. And the pleasing
thing about it is most of the you know, the
people who've come and looked at have been not through
(13:48):
the traditional AFL channels. It's been amazing. So we're thinking
that we will have more people watching the pregame than
we've ever had before just because of the way that
he crosses the generation.
Speaker 3 (13:58):
So would you say it's over or unders what Harley
Reed will earn in a year of his next contract.
Speaker 5 (14:05):
Not a bad comparison because.
Speaker 3 (14:07):
It's a sliding scale and no one really knows what
it is. It's a bit of a save, I know.
But we absolutely love Snoop. We're hoping we're going to
see him in commentary. But we'd argue that it's almost
the most exciting thing that's happening in sport this week
because it's up there the top.
Speaker 1 (14:21):
It's up there.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
I'll see you at the W. We've got the launch
of the AFLW heading into its tenth season and it
is just going from strength to strength. Tell us a
little bit about what fans can get excited about seeing
this season.
Speaker 5 (14:31):
Look, I think I'm really excited to see the evolution
of the game and the players, and knowing I've got
three daughters and my youngest one he's nineteen. And so
some of the girls or the players that have been
drafted this year she's played with and against over her
you know, she wasn't that good.
Speaker 3 (14:48):
But she pays she admired them for far she did.
Speaker 5 (14:51):
And I saw some of them play and just knowing
how good they were when they were twelve or thirteen,
and then they're the ones that have made it through.
I can just in there the caliber of player that
are coming through. So there's a girl who will be
playing a first game for Melbourne on Saturday night called
Maggie Marney who Chloe went to school with, and she
as an eleven year old. She was the best female
player I've ever seen because she's just too and she's
(15:14):
just just an absolute genuine footballer. And then they used
to play against a girl called Sienna Taleriti who's at Geelong,
and she is I've never seen anyone dominate matches boy
or girl like her so and they weren't even top
ten draft picks. So the caliber of the athlete that's
coming through is amazing. And I know that as CenTra
will be playing tonight, you know, first game named in
(15:36):
the middle for Collingwood. Amazing.
Speaker 3 (15:38):
And then there's they're calling her, supposedly as I was
listening to SCN, the Caitlyn Clark effect. They're basically saying,
this girl is that good. And what they're saying at
Collingwood about her coming into the system is that she
could have an effect on AFL globally to the effect
of Caate and Clark. And these are Tim Watson doesn't
miss his words with these.
Speaker 5 (15:57):
And then there's another player at the goal coast, Havana
Harris as well, who would be someone to watch out for.
Speaker 2 (16:03):
So created in a lab.
Speaker 5 (16:07):
Like the alliteration.
Speaker 3 (16:09):
But I do love this because I think and you
and I would have known growing up, oz Kick wasn't
really There was no girls I really saw playing oz Kick,
even though I was around a footy club every weekend
of my life. But now this is the talents that
have just pursued the whole way.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
Through personally for you, Andrew, because you have three girls,
you know, and you know, differing talent levels when it
comes to footy, but it wouldn't have been a legitimate
career path for them. One of my nieces, she was
I was talking to her last night and she said,
I'm genuinely wanting to.
Speaker 3 (16:37):
Maybe give footy a go.
Speaker 2 (16:38):
She's thirteen and it just makes me so happy because
we didn't get that. How does it make you feel
personally that we're.
Speaker 3 (16:45):
At this stage.
Speaker 5 (16:46):
I think it's just having the options and like I mean,
I played a lot of community footy and no higher
than that, but amazing three girls. But one of the
things I thought I was, I'll never be involved in
community footy again. That was my mindset because girls and
women just didn't play out the in the numbers that
they are now, and so when the opportunity came and
the girls did start playing, it was awesome. So they
(17:08):
don't play anymore, but they're still involved and they've got
a feeling for the game now that say, my wife
Amanda wouldn't have because she didn't play. So I think
it's it's really good for the game for you know,
not just for now, but for future generations.
Speaker 3 (17:20):
I reckon your wife, a mana who's delightful by the way,
I'm the privilege of sitting next to an event. Was like,
she's awesome. I need to befriend her.
Speaker 2 (17:26):
But you do.
Speaker 3 (17:26):
The AFL has expanded really quickly, and it's wonderful for
the equality that every club now has an AFLW team,
So if you support the men's, you can support the women's.
But as you said, there's all this amazing talent coming
through now to bolster the skill set that we're seeing,
which is just really exciting. But what is the biggest
challenge in your mind facing the W and how can
we as fans support it?
Speaker 5 (17:48):
Well, I think part of it and I was just
talking today. We've got an incredible lineup today, cart and
v Collingwood had icon a beautiful day, so there's sort
of no excuses. So I'm just hoping that what I
want is people to get to the games and see
it live. And just because they might have dipped their
tearing the water team. You know, it's season one and
it was amazing season one, but just to see as
(18:09):
I said, the evolution of the girls coming in, but
also players like say Ruby Schleischer, who's now been in
the system for ten seasons and all those pre seasons
under her belt, and that the way she's evolved as players.
So I think going there, we're having the games that
attendance friendly timeslots, so we want people to go experience
the game.
Speaker 3 (18:28):
Oh, I love an attendance friendly time. I struggle. I
struggle to keep awake at the end of the footy
game now, which is terrible, but young kids that will
do it, and Ruby who's also sensational in commentary too.
Speaker 5 (18:40):
Exactly, So we want people to come and follow the game.
And then and I think if we see that, then
we'll have more people watching it on TV. It'll then
become even more commercially sustainable. And then and then it
just keeps you flowing on and then we get more
girls wanting to play, and then the athletes become better
and yeah, that's that's the way we go. And then
we continue to invest in the facility so that the
fans who are coming to the games are getting the
(19:01):
experience that they want.
Speaker 2 (19:02):
Well, Andrew Dyllan, we so appreciate you joining us. We
know that this is the busiest time of the year.
We've got the launch of the W forty finals are
coming up. Are you prepared to never sleep again?
Speaker 5 (19:12):
It's a big couple of weeks, so we've got the
full round of AFLW, some incredible AFL Men's games, yes,
VFL finals coming, Coach League. It's all happening. So it's
an exciting time of the year. Everyone likes playing footy
in August and September.
Speaker 3 (19:24):
It is all happening. And I'm sure you weren't expecting
this question today, but given you do have three daughters,
are any of them swifties?
Speaker 5 (19:30):
Not really?
Speaker 2 (19:33):
Oh my god.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
Get the security team.
Speaker 3 (19:35):
It's going to lead them to campaign to get Taylor.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
Yes, we do.
Speaker 2 (19:40):
Twenty twenty six, Yeah, yeah, we've made al We've got
Snoop this year. I mean, just so you know, Andrew
Taylor's releasing a new album. We're not sure when yet,
but hopefully we'll have more details very very soon. And
so if that's the case, I'm I'm just spitfalling. Twenty
twenty six, she comes in, Well.
Speaker 5 (19:56):
I mean, the girls can sniffer trends, Andrew.
Speaker 3 (20:02):
There we go, confirmed, confirmed, and also Snoop Dogg commentating
it's been a really productive chat.
Speaker 1 (20:09):
We've solved everything.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
Thank you so much for your time and enjoy the
rest of the seasons.
Speaker 3 (20:13):
Thanks having me on and we will see you at
the w massive massive time. We're excited.
Speaker 2 (20:21):
Andrew Dyllon just delightful.
Speaker 3 (20:24):
Always been affair you really have, You've always enjoyed him.
He's great. Well, he's one of those. He's very genuine,
he's very genuine, always remembers your name, always comes up
and says hello, like there's an earnestness and also a
lack of ego.
Speaker 2 (20:36):
Yes, which is very rare, very rare spaces in.
Speaker 3 (20:39):
That space, I think. And he's just he's just a
good guy. And also like, how can you have three
daughters and not one of them be as swifty? Oh,
I just feel like that's going against the grain of
the population.
Speaker 1 (20:49):
Yeah, something's going to ry there.
Speaker 2 (20:50):
But it's okay because now we've introduced him to too
good sports and this space a safe space where you
can air random information like that and then you.
Speaker 1 (20:59):
Can rectify it.
Speaker 2 (21:00):
So Dylan, girls, just hit me up, hit me up
for an education, do.
Speaker 3 (21:04):
Me to air something random when we're talking about Yeah,
a fun fact it's not very fun, kind of weird
and fact though it is a fact. I interviewd Kiss
ahead of them being the pre show entertainment for the
twenty twenty four AFL Grand Farty.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
Yeah okay, and they sniffed my hair.
Speaker 1 (21:23):
What do you mean?
Speaker 3 (21:24):
As in, I was in a photo op and they
leant forward and sniffed, lifted my hair with one of
their hands and sniffed it, sniffed it.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
So sorry the actual visual dear listeners, just imagine just
actually get your own hair, get your own hair and
take your hand.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
Look at that. That's so confronting someone taking your hair.
Speaker 3 (21:43):
But also just put yourself in a professional space.
Speaker 1 (21:46):
Yeah. So you're trying to do your job. Yeah yeah,
and someone comes and.
Speaker 3 (21:49):
Jeane Simmons sniffs your hair.
Speaker 2 (21:52):
You know what it's giving, it's giving what's he called,
Hannibal Lecter. Oh that's where that's where my head's gone.
Speaker 1 (22:02):
But it was Jean.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
It was one of the more deeply uncomfortable because you
know kids, right, like, you know what the reputation is.
You know that, like you know that's what it's going
to be.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
And that's their stick. But there's there's times where you
think that that is just stick. No, no, no, no.
Speaker 1 (22:19):
That's wild.
Speaker 3 (22:20):
Oh and joked what did you do? And this was
all in the press conference, so it went to air somewhere,
but they joked that Australian women had always opened their
legs for them while on the mic. And I'm there
being like ha ha ha, sport, sport.
Speaker 1 (22:36):
Let's focus on the game that you're here for.
Speaker 3 (22:39):
So on return, my head was so supremely uncomfortable.
Speaker 1 (22:43):
It's awful. It's awful.
Speaker 3 (22:45):
And again twenty twenty four.
Speaker 1 (22:47):
Yeah, so that's no.
Speaker 3 (22:48):
Twenty twenty three must have been.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
Twenty twenty three, because we're in I keep thinking you
were in twenty twenty six.
Speaker 3 (22:52):
Yes, so it was twenty twenty three because Katy Perry
missed Katy Perry because I was with child.
Speaker 2 (22:58):
I miss Katy Perry too when she was doing the
whatever she was doing last year.
Speaker 1 (23:02):
I missed that.
Speaker 3 (23:03):
Oh no, I was at the Grand Final. She was
great at the actual Granny And it's a very difficult arena. Yes,
Robbie absolutely nailed it. Because it's not designed for you
and it's daytime. You don't realize how much lights and
those sort of theatrics actually affect how much you can
engage and a lot of people aren't there for you.
So Robbie was your perfect cross section.
Speaker 1 (23:24):
Yes, everyone knows the song.
Speaker 3 (23:25):
Everyone knows the songs, and he has the self awareness enough.
He's sung something from his new album and he's like,
I know you don't like it, but I'll get back
to the classics after this. One literally said it on
the mic. It stunning.
Speaker 1 (23:36):
See that's what you need.
Speaker 2 (23:37):
What I will say about Snoop if we returned to
the news about this year's Grand Final is that he
is a showman, so it's just a different show.
Speaker 3 (23:46):
Yeah, I do. It's a different show. I do wonder
if you don't know Snoop. He doesn't have like his
movements aren't gonna sell you. No, No, there's no dancing
that gets you across the line. I love it. I'm here,
but it has an energy.
Speaker 1 (24:03):
I'm here for it too.
Speaker 3 (24:04):
Cameos will eminem just pop up if.
Speaker 2 (24:07):
That happens and they do shake that joke, don't are
you asked our bloody become. I'll run the field, will.
Speaker 1 (24:21):
No dread will be safe? I will be there.
Speaker 2 (24:24):
I love I love that song so much, little twelve
year old maybe and like shake that.
Speaker 1 (24:30):
It's questionable.
Speaker 3 (24:31):
Now all of his lyrics are questionable, which is why
I question, like, how are we gonna as hasn't he
been to jail?
Speaker 1 (24:40):
I think maybe? But maybe aren't out? No longer?
Speaker 3 (24:43):
Wasn't that where he befriended Martha Stewart?
Speaker 2 (24:45):
Oh my god, I forgot about their Relationshi.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
I love their friendship.
Speaker 3 (24:50):
I love it so so do I. It's the best.
Speaker 2 (24:54):
This is a great call. It's a great call. Well
done ofl well done. Who's the NRL gut do we
know yet?
Speaker 3 (24:59):
I don't know? That's on you? You can you know?
Speaker 1 (25:02):
Aaron has a thought.
Speaker 3 (25:03):
You know what? Now now that we've had deals, we've
got to get pvl Oh, we're gonna.
Speaker 2 (25:08):
Get Peter of Landy's on this, Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yes,
guy's a limit we've I mean, think of the names
we've got. We've had the Prime Mini stuff, we've had
the head of Footy and.
Speaker 3 (25:16):
Now be rude. If we don't get Pit of Landy
Red or tail Us with tail Us listeners, we need
to go because the other podcast, the other sporting podcast
that might do well in the charts this week and
potentially well I think it'll be okay new.
Speaker 2 (25:31):
Yeah, that's it. Yeah, I'll be listening for the first time.
She knows what she's doing. She knows what she's doing
until next week.
Speaker 1 (25:40):
You could sport
