Speaker 1 (00:10):
My Heart podcasts, hear more kiss podcasts, playlists, and listen
live on the Free I heard I mean sture to
follow up on the Patrick Schwarzenegga gear because obviously last
time you were in you revealed your affinity with Patty Schwartz.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
Season one we had grown ups two. So about twenty
five screenings in, a guy comes on and says, you know,
that's done withd Schwarzenegger's son, and we become consumed by him.
We have a segment on the podcast called Patty Schwartz
Party Time. We're trekking his investments, we're trekking his relationships,
We're reaching out on Twitter. At the end of the
season we get matching Patrick Schwarzeneger tattoos. And for sort
(00:46):
of eleven years since it's just this miscellaneous piece of
trivia that no one really knows about. It's on my ass,
no one gets to see or really discuss, and then
all of a sudden, he has this huge Schwarzenega renaissance.
He's back in the public eye, and I'm gone, you
don't know I know this guy?
Speaker 1 (01:02):
Okay, So that's been doing the rounds on social media.
Patty Schwartz has commented there saying, let's get a beer.
It's on me. What's happened?
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Yeah, that was obviously unbelievable. I told that story to
you guys, and then I did the project and I
told them and then saw that you don't know this,
but Patty's coming on the show next week. Is there
anything you want to say to him? So I bowed
the camera and I said, look, Patty, it's me, the
guy from ten years ago. Let's get a beer. And
(01:34):
the clip obviously found its way to him. I don't
know how. Maybe the publicist put it in front of
him and he said, let's do it. And so then
we were dming on Instagram. But I was during the
Melbourne Comedy Festival and his press too only took him
to Sydney, and I was like, going to fly myself.
He said, let's do it. I said, this is the
one day I can do it, and he sort of
took a little bit to reply, and then I was
looking at flights. I was going to fly myself down
(01:54):
to Sydney. Oh really yeah, and agree upon like a
place to meet. And then I was like, if he
doesn't come through, which is likely because he's very successful
and very busy and this is just a weird thing
for him. This isn't like a life achievement. I am
going to be flying myself to Sydney on my day
off to drink a beer along, and so I took
(02:18):
the I took the more cautious route of sort of,
you know, keeping in very thin, vague touch on the
Instagram dms, and then it's on the boil. I would say.
So in this instance, we did not share a beer,
but the communication lines are open, the mutual respect is intact.
I'm not coming to heavy. I'm still in the running.
(02:39):
I actually also had the exercise restraint earlier today. He
was posting because he's done a round table on acting
with his dad, and he posted a photo of him
his dad, Danny DeVito, and Colin Farrell. The instinct I
sometimes have when I see a friend post something that
is cool is to message being like a hell, yeah,
this is a great crew or something. Hey hey, hey,
(03:00):
you don't know this guy. This is a protected channel
of communication.
Speaker 3 (03:05):
Yeah, you want to keep it there? Second, guess yourself.
Do I feel like I do have to? As an adult, though,
as we get older and older, I do get the
sense with like maintaining or sparking a new friendship in
your thirties, one of you does have to take the
plunge at some stage, like one of you has to
take the flight to Sydney and risk the fact that
you might be having a solo beer. Like that's the
(03:25):
nature of relationships in areas, those such thing as circumstanced.
You're not going to bump into him, You're really at
some stage got to put your balls on the line
and go, hey, Patty, I'm going to be here.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
True, I've been sort of realizing and for one a
bit of word consecrating a few new friendships at the moment.
It involves vulnerability, doesn't it involve, And especially if you've
been in a relationship for a long time, it tickles
the same sort of anxiety. Yeah, it's like maybe a
(03:56):
little bit longer than usual, yes, and than usual and
for whatever reason, you know, people are busy, they can't
get right back. It's hanging between you and the person
and you're thinking, have I have I just completely.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
Who's the last message from and have you and Patti
Schwartzenegger are you sitting on a message from him? Or
are you the last person a message in because my
the rule I think when you're talking to someone that
you're hoping to date is that you never double message.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
Yeah, I've locked myself out of social media for the day,
I will say. On before I left the social media
platform Twitter, we were dming on there he'd seen in
the last message and my whole profile on Instagram. I
think we're in a pretty neutral zone. Look, I'm not
(04:47):
afraid when the moment comes to get in touch.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
I think that's nice.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
I need a little bit more runway for a guy
like him who will forget who I am. I'm also
thinking about if he clicked on my profile, what's he
going to see? And at the moment, what he's going
to see is me looking fantastic and a slinky black
dress with red lipstick, talking about and just like that
on a podcast. And I just think I need to
put a little more distance between that part of my
(05:13):
life and I want him to meet me next.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
Good IDEA greata maybe a great place for him to
get a great sample of you. Is hosting your TV
