Speaker 1 (00:10):
My Heart podcasts, hear more kiss podcasts, playlists, and listen
live on the Free hard.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
The most remarkable thing happened in the studio the other day.
You are technologically literate, inept.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Completely capable getting worse. Somehow I'm getting worse. You know,
with technological advancements, you think that I would be somewhat
meeting that.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
Yeah, the way that the other way that I think
it works with technologies you keep up.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
When you fall off the back of the wave, you go,
there's no coming back, And.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
I'm off the back of the wave.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
You fell off the back of the truck a long
time ago. You're by yourself in the wilderness nowhere. Very shortly,
you're just moting for the moment that remy starts to
know how to use the phone, because then all of
a sudden you can just take it off your hands.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
Do you think a lot of parents do well?

Speaker 1 (00:52):
My wife operates my phone a lot of the time.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
She's the fact that you've used the word operate, this suggests.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
And then you know what I found as well is
now that I don't understand technology, it angers me more so.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
I feel I know you've gone from you've gone from
wireless to all cables.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
Now, bring back the cable. You're a big on the
bring back the cable. Yeah, I hate Bluetooth.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Yeah so so, But given that, the most remarkable thing
happened in the studio the other day because I'm not
I don't think I'm good at technology, but I'm not
off the truck yet.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
You're hanging on. You're hanging on, hanging on.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
And that was illustrated when we started talking about what
I called gifts but since but I realized recently known
as jiffs, although I think I'm like, so it's apparently
the appropriate way to pronounce it is jiff.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
But look, society got it and no, no, no, it's a gift.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
And what you're saying about that the other day, Tommy,
that there's a fact about that the.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Original creator wanted it to be giffs.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
So what everyone was like, it's a gift, and he's like, no,
I like the sound of Jiff, which they might have
gone for.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
But then you know, the cleaning product guys were like, ah, yeah,
that's it right, it's we own this space. So you
like gifts.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
You So then you started saying in the studio that
you and your you and your de facto partner.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Well, my defacto partner supposed to refer to. I don't know.
I keep going to say wife.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
You just say wife. No one really cares, sure your wife.
You and your wife sending each other gifts.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
I dare you. We don't believe in these, but you two,
you're liking sending each other gifts.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
SAMs big on jiffs. She's big on them, she says,
she's I think she only just discovered them, and so
she's she's now become because she's really bad with her phone.
And I think a lot of jiff people can relate
to this. Gus Wallan, if you're listening.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
Give her gift.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
If they can't be bothered talking a lot of messages
that they're not good with their phone rather than trying
to type something. They've just got this arsenal. It's amazing
of gifts. I'm embracing you. The gift a little bit,
become a gift.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Old olders drop a gift in a group thread every
now and then, just to let you live. And there's
a panda dancing, which has no relation to what we're
talking about. But there's a banded dancing, right. But this
is where the gold happened for me though, because you
were like, yeah, because I'm into gifts, I've been spending
a lot of time on giffe dot com.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
Yeah, give me dot com. What are you talking about?

Speaker 1 (03:10):
And you're like, yeah, yeah, yeah, you gotta go to
the website, choose your gift and then.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
Cut and paste it gift no. And this is again.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
I got so excited in the moment where I was like,
I actually know something.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
More than you within the text box.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
When you write a text, you click on that plus thing,
scroll down images plus search for any gift online, my friend.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
Yeah, that was incredible, and I didn't know that it
was a big moment for you to be fair.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Like you, you were so disbelieving of it that you're like, nah,
can't be a thing.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
No, don't be ridiculous, shut up. I didn't believe it.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
And then as you went through the steps you had
to eat humble by my friend. Yep, I gifts to
your disposal though, now.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Yeah, yeah, to be fair, I actually have used a
couple of gifts out of there recently. And their library
doesn't doesn't hold a candle to give you dot com
to give you the.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
Real gift players.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
I think there's Still it's still definitely make to your
cut and pasting on give you it's a great spot
to beck.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
So I had this moment.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
I got home last night and I was like, yeah, look,
I had to eat humble technological pine in front of
Woody and I hate it, absolutely hate it. Should so
I'd like to I'd like to flip the tables on
you right now, flip it on me.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
Yeah, I.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Want to reassert the order. I like the pecking order.
I think needs a little bit of a tweak.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
I couldn't be more confident. I'm ready my tails up.
I think I yeah, I just think I I think.
I think I started getting angry with technology.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
But but I've realized in thinking of all these things
that I know that I actually do an alfair bit.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
So here we go. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
You know how sometimes you're like, oh, I think my
battery is the battery on my phone is maybe.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
What's that you're talking about? Battery saving mode? No, no, I'm
saying that.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
You know those times when you're like, oh, my I
phone just doesn't getting through the day now, battery right, Yeah,
you can go into settings, yeah, and you go to
battery yeah, and then you can there's a chart there. Yeah,
and you can see your battery health yeah yeah, okay,
you know that all right.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Remember you know you can also press battery saving mode
and you make it a widget, so you just drag
down from the top.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
One review screen. What's a widget anyway? Carry on? Okay,
So you know when you by the way dig or something. Yeah,
that's fair. How many of you got eight? Okay? Okay?

Speaker 1 (05:19):
So you know how sometimes when you're writing an email,
so you might you know, you can you obviously write
an email from your I phone, you know that, But
sometimes you're like, no, no, no, Sometimes you're like a
bag I've I'm writing this email, but I needed to
attach a photo because I'm for the email.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
Yah yeah right, yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
So a lot of people you included would obviously go right,
go to my photos, copy photo, go back to the
email paste okay, you know you can just go to
your photo library, yeah, and just go email photo and
then do the text.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
Yeah way quicker, yep? Do you do that? Yeah? Yeah?
Or sometimes I just like I'll be in the email
and then I'll hold my thumb down and insert photo
and then I get the photo library from there. Didn't
know you could do that? Okay, enough, move on. Okay,
so next one, you definitely won't know this. You definitely
won't know this.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Yeah, yeah, okay, you know how you can talk to
chat GPT, you can have a conversation with you're talking
back and forth.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
Did you know you can actually just you put this
setting on which means you can just close your screen. Yeah,
put your phone in your pocket, just listen to you
and but you can walk your headphones in and to
talk to it. Yeah, okay, so you know that that
is okay, I think I showed you that. No, No, okay, okay,
next one, Okay, so you know a lot of people

(06:37):
are struggling with you know the phone is too addictive?

Speaker 3 (06:41):
Yep, right, can't stop going into these apps. Did you
know there's a setting you can put on you go
on display?

Speaker 1 (06:49):
You don't know where I'm going stop saying yes, you know,
I haven't said it yet.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
I know what you're going to say. What you're going
to say that there's other two things.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
It's either the your phone locks you out you've got
a little app that makes you do your breathing thing,
or Gray scales your phone.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
So that like don't find things is interesting. You don't
know how to gray scale your phone?

Speaker 3 (07:03):
It's a setting. How do you how do you get there?

Speaker 2 (07:06):
I could figure it out in two seconds. It's not
something door papers did wall papers all right? I don't
think it's wall papers there. Someone did it for me. Okay, Okay,
here's another one for you. How many Apple devices do
you have?

Speaker 3 (07:21):
Two? Okay? I don't know how this how I did this?
But did you know that?

Speaker 1 (07:27):
My my phone tells me when I'm away from my iPad,
but it goes, it goes, hey, you left your pad behind?

Speaker 3 (07:37):
Really? Yes, I didn't know.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
I didn't know.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
So sometimes I'm halfway home, like on the bike, and
my phone goes.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
You left your ad? But yeah, man, you didn't know
about that, did you. Okay? That's final one that you
definitely want well done. Definitely know that, okay, I mean yeah,
final one. You definitely won't know. Did you know? I
don't have an iPad?

Speaker 2 (08:01):
Though?

Speaker 3 (08:02):
To be fair, so you didn't know. I didn't. You
didn't know. So the rules are I'm teaching you something.
Final one. You definitely don't know this. This blew my mind, okay,
like blew my mind okay.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
And like brace yourself, like maybe pull over if you're
listening right now, because it will also blow your mind.
You know, when you're like sometimes like oh, I really
want that photo of me in Fiji. You're like, there's
that photo of me in Fiji and I'm wearing a sarong.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
Yeah, and I was like, that's the photo I need.
That's the photo I need. Now, you mere mortals scrolling up?
You search geographically for Fiji. No, you can actually just
go to the top and search Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
Yeah, every photo with a song and it comes up. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:48):
It's good stuff, isn't it. You're across that. Yeah, okay,
you search for people as well. No, I know, mate,
I know you can get real specific with it. Newspaper.
You'd be surprised at how many photos you've got
