Speaker 1 (00:01):
Welcome to the podcast, the Behind the Scenes podcast where
we answer your questions. Damn, it's a whole range of
them in our little question box here. That's strange what
today's yesterday got strange.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
So we Mim and I continued that conversation when when
I when I got down, so she she's she threw down.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
If you are free, if you missed yesterday's episode, you
should know that the question was if you were a
woman for a day, what would you do?
Speaker 2 (00:31):
That's it, And so we got right into that. If
you missed it, go get it. But Mim and I
we we we got a bit weird last night and
we were just like really got into this world where
Mim was like, I'm just trying to imagine how we
would go about life if you decided that you you
wanted to start dressing as a woman, yeah, which which
(00:52):
I think she was like, I think there was a
part of her that was like, that's not that's not
an impossibility.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
That's what I'm interested.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
I know you like you like doing So I started
talking about that and she was like, O would obviously
be very supportive of you doing that and stuff, and
like that's amazing. But she was like could we stay together?
We talked about it for hours. It was it was,
it was actually it was like deep as this deep
great conversation. Yes a, anyway, I took a bit further. Wow,
but yeah. Cool. So the new question, the new question
(01:30):
today is what movie was so sad you could never
watch it again? That's from me, thanks, Maa. So what
I found interesting about this is so sad you could
never watch it again? Those are the movies I want
to watch again.
Speaker 3 (01:46):
Oh no, Woodie, you haven't seen a sad enough movie.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
Sovie, not seen a sad enough movie?
Speaker 2 (01:54):
If that is your response. It's a movie called Warrior.
That's not a sad movie. Yes, no it's not. No,
that's not a sad film. And when I need to cry,
I'll go watch it and I'll be like, yes, bring
on the.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
Sad movie, mate, that is not a sad movie.
Speaker 4 (02:10):
Hey, here's one volume, mate, Yeah, wrestling Tom Hardy.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
Tom Hardy, Mick Maulty and.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
It's it's a mixed martial arts film. But it's about family,
and it's about love for your fan, it's about Okay,
what's a sad movie.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
There's a loader, there's a documentary, but I would watch
that again, that's not a sad movie.
Speaker 3 (02:32):
Coda is not a sad movie.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
It's a beautiful movie. It's not sad.
Speaker 3 (02:36):
I'm talking about it. We're talking about im talking about
genuine tragedy here.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
I'm talking about a movie that you finished and you
were like, I am absolutely ripped from the inside.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
I watch anything more.
Speaker 3 (02:45):
Yes, that's very.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
Sad movie, John Wick.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
Now there's a documentary once I saw in euthanasia called
Choosing to Die.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
Oh yeah, that the conversation between the two parts of
the cup like that.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
Let me ask you, you don't watch that more than once?
Speaker 4 (03:04):
When you that stays with.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
You when you sit down on a Wednesday night.
Speaker 4 (03:09):
Sunday.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
I'm just I'm just curious as the conversation, like it's
a Sunday, let's relax before a big day of a
week of work. And you go, I've got it, Sam,
why don't we watch a documentary on euthanasia. It's just
that is for me that Sundays are relaxing and laughing
and fun.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
I find that really sad movies can also make you
feel really good about yourself as well.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
Is that because I'm I'm not going through that, so
I've got a lot to be grateful for.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
Yes, yeah, I think that's definitely one part of it.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
But I also just think like connecting with like grief
can also be like a really good thing. I don't know,
it makes it sometimes, not that you want to turn
into like grief, pawn, but I think it can make
you feel really good.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
I did say, like, so it's a gan she said
that you'd never want to watch again, because I do
agree with that. So we are laughing, but I do.
I always cry in the film Warrior and so, but
I seek that movie out when I feel like I
need to cry. Yeah. Nice, so because I think we've
all got movies like that where it's like I haven't
haven't cried for a while. But it's a bit of
a worry. Me and my partner do Pixar movies for
(04:18):
that exact reason. Oh my, just hit up and it's like,
I'm definitely gonna cry here inside out when bingo bongo
oh and again spoilers there, But Shindler's list.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
I haven't seen it, really really great, seen it really
great film.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
Boy in the Stripe is really sads. Haven't seen it, yeah,
but heard it. I haven't seen it. Brilliant really good.
It's on stand. I think, Yeah, I'll bring up john
Wick again.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
The only thing sad about john Wick is that in
the second one, Lawrence Fishburne didn't get more air time.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
And we're all thinking that's so true, so true.
Speaker 4 (04:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
So I think what we're I think to answer me
is question I think we're saying, is we go towards
sad movies like a moth to a flame because we
like the tears.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
Well, I don't think you've actually quoted a sad movie yet.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
I'm just saying movies that evoke emotions, and I don't lion, Lion,
you know it's a lot of sad. Are you kidding me?
Speaker 1 (05:17):
I'm talking about the tragedy. I'm talking about like finishing
anything and going, oh hard to know what I can
take from that?
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Okay, oh, Silver Linings Playbook, No, not a sad movie.
Gladiator not a sad movie. He dies, he dies, he
gets killed, his family, husband to a murdered wife, father
to a murdered son. It doesn't get sadder than that.
Have you seen?
Speaker 1 (05:45):
Yeah, because I'm trying to I'm trying to jog my memory,
and I don't think.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
Some of these are sad. South, Paul, did you see.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
Okay, we both saw the whale.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
We both saw the whale. Oh so sad? Pretty sad? Actually,
probably pretty sad. There we go.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
See now now we're in the right spot because because
I wouldn't see that movie again either. But I thought
it was I thought it was the best screenplay I've
seen the last ten years.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
Yeah, you right. I wouldn't watch that again because that
was comfortable to watch. Horrific. Yeah, it was Manchester by
the Sea. Have you seen that. I wouldn't watch that again.
Speaker 4 (06:18):
There you go now here we are bad movies.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
All the whole thing is sad film. Yeah, okay, have
you seen ghost Story? Oh, ghost Story sad film. I'm
not sure if I've seen ghost Story, I've seen Marriage Story.
Probably wouldn't watch that either, Scarlet Johansen and Adam Drying
that that makes you really feel strange about your relationship,
don't you think? Very sad? It made me feel weird
about definitely like relationship. I'm like, oh my god, is
(06:44):
this like? Yeah, it was.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
It was so requiem for a dream.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
I wouldn't watch that again. That's horrific. That's a sad film. Okay,
may all of these films.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
Question, these are all sad films. Interstingly, They've got listen
to hear The Pianist. Now, I think that's a sad movie.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
That unbelievable, the prestige and again, actually the Pianist. Actually, no,
when you figure out what Hugh was doing.
Speaker 3 (07:08):
That's not a sad I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
Yes, it's a trick. Wow.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
Now that has to be beeped, and I hope that's
been baked because that is a cardinal sand Knowing that, dude,
you can't say that it's a sad movie. It's not
a sad movie. But I would say that The Pianist
is a sad movie until the Pianist is that Adrian.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
Brad He won the Academy Award for it. It's unbelievable.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
Black Swan pretty sad, not sad though, trily I'd say,
do you want to give you another sad movie?
Speaker 3 (07:43):
Yeah? Yeah, Into the Wild pretty sad, sad.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
Oh yeah, but I'd watch that again because there's something,
there's a redec there's the Yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
Do you think that guy was selfish by the way.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
To an extent?
Speaker 1 (07:58):
Yes, here's one for you. I mean, we could do
it movie for a long time. Dead Poets society.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
Now, why is that I always forget the ending because
I'm quite uplifted. Yeah, I agree, it's really sad.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
There is something very sad that happens in that movie,
and I forgot about it until I watched it again recently.
Speaker 2 (08:18):
But I loved the film, and I feel like I'd
watched that again even though I've forgotten all the sadness
that happened in it. Yeah, oh beautiful mind. M M.
So sad.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
It's sad. It is sad, but it's also thrilling you,
just like the element.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
Yeah, Notebook is so sad.
Speaker 4 (08:38):
I love you, Butler.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
It is best so sad, but I'll watch it again.
Butler did watch it again for sure tomorrow
