Speaker 1 (00:04):
The will M.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Woody Podcast.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
Laura Henshaw Wilbur from Kick was in this studio yesterday.
She looked great, by the way, looked at She's got
that pregnancy glow going on.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
She's about thirty three weeks pregnant.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
But what I personally loved about her appearance on the
show yesterday was when she stitched up her partner Dalton
by revealing what Dolts is doing to prepare for the baby,
which which I truly think is it's one of the
dumber things I've ever heard. We haven't had children, he said, Laura,
I'm going to take eight pm until two am, but

(00:41):
I'm not going to go to sleep the whole time.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Why just in case the baby needs me.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
Preparing late?

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Oh wow, I was listening to babies crying in preparation.

Speaker 4 (00:56):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Yeah, I bought a baby boot camp.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
Ridiculous. Don't do that.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Yeah, I was also dumb. I think I think Doults
is worse than mine. Though.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
The idea of in preparation for the sleep deprivation that
will come from having a baby, to deprive yourself of
sleep to get ready for that is outrageous. Yeah, that
doesn't make any sense. It doesn't make any sense at all.
But again I'm a glasshouse throwing stones because I did.
For my first chart for Remy. In the weeks leading

(01:25):
up to her birth, I was I was a bit
I get I get over stimulated by noise. So I
was like, oh God, they're going to struggle with the
crying thing. I just don't know what that's going to
do to me. So I seriously I sat in a
room and I just got like a YouTube video of
babies crying, and I just I just sit in it,

(01:47):
well as like to build up some sort of like
resilience to babies crying, and in my and I'd go insane,
like I'd sit there being like like ages.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Like I'd sit there for an hour just in it.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
It's really intense. It's so in my mind as a
kiss to go od argue. Yeah, I started to enjoy
it after a while, which is really strange. But in
my head it was just like, then, I'm just going
to be great when the baby's crying. I'm not going
to have like an emotional reaction to it. I'll be
at one with the cry. Were you doing it in leather?
Or like what the hell was it?

Speaker 2 (02:17):
We don't need to go into what I was dressed as.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
What else did your baby boot camp involve? So the
only other thing so that was the crying. There was
a listening to crying. And the only other thing I did,
which was pretty dumb. And by the way, thirteen one
oh sixty five is our number because I do think
there'll be other examples of the dumb things that men
did to prepare for the baby coming. I think generally speaking,
women are doing smart things in preparation for baby. Men.

(02:42):
The things that we do which we think are going
to get us ready for a baby, I think generally
off the mark. So thirteen one oh sixty five I
would love to hear more of them. The other thing
that I did before Remy came is I went to
so to be honest, the house we were in when
before Remy was born, there were just it just wasn't
very child friends. Yeah, So I spent it was at
least a full day and I was just putting sticky

(03:05):
tape with foam on little edges of everything. Anyway, so
I spent twelve hours putting.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Foam on every single edge in the house.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
And then I forget who it was who informed they
were like, you know, the baby just doesn't move for
six parts. You don't you don't need the baby proof
your home now, I was like, yeah, it's perfect, would
just leave them on. I was very worried that I
wouldn't be able to run with the pram.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
So you went running with the pram in reading it?

Speaker 1 (03:34):
What with bricks in there? Nothing? Nothing in it. Laura
Henshaw's partner is already sleep depriving himself.

Speaker 5 (03:45):
Sure that him on Dalton really just to defend himself,
having an absolute dip here and the big fella.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
You know, he's doing his best and he's doing his
best to get ready. What I would say is, as
someone who is doing stupid things to prepare, at least
you're thinking about it. That's that's that. I mean, that's
that's the prep in itself. Wieloe. Let's go to Maria
here though on thirteen one sixty five. Maria, this is
something your ex did to prepare for.

Speaker 6 (04:11):
Yeh there the father and I say, oh my god,
talk about paranoid poly Now, well maybe that didn't start
calling maybe to about ten months spending on the child.
So what he did he went to Bunnings and whatnot
and he bought one of those sense lights stick on
the walls. Now, he must have brought about sixty of them,
and he put them all over the house, four in
the hallways, the toilet, the laundry, even the garage, in

(04:32):
the backyard.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
So you said, did you say, do you say sensor lines,
sense a lone?

Speaker 2 (04:36):
You had sense lights all over your house?

Speaker 6 (04:39):
Yeah, it was like mcg so anything that we're passed
ball so and I'm thinking where I said, the baby's
going to crawl to the backyard in the garage, tells you,
you know, tune attire or something you know, and he
put it. He went ballistic. He went just to bring
a case. She crawls out the doggy hole and goes
in the backyard. I said, what do you think this
is going to power wall? Crapower?

Speaker 7 (05:00):
Cool?

Speaker 6 (05:01):
But it was everywhere. I kid, you know, that's.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
Quite and once again like like it feels as if
he's trying to do the right thing, because what's the purpose, Maria,
is it? We like why like broadly.

Speaker 6 (05:15):
When we say, oh, where's the baby? Oh look, the
light's gone on, she's in the laundry.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
I'm about to pitch the most outrageous phone topic ever.

Speaker 5 (05:29):
To be honest, I just can't see us getting a
call Woods third one of six' five have your time?

Speaker 1 (05:36):
Traveled? Actually wait and see?

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Maybe or like can there be gray?

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Areas like you know you you flew against you flew
against time and you had two birthdays or something like
are you allowing?

Speaker 5 (05:54):
That or you went back in the time? Zone, no,
MATE i don't want to hear if you went To
adelaide for the.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
Weekend the REASON i want to know, THAT i want
to feel LIKE i want to know if you travel
back through your. Time. NOW i know it seems like
a wild. Question the Reason i'm asking that question is
because someone Has Janelle. Monett she's an actress's she's a.
Ramper she's very.

Speaker 5 (06:19):
Cool you would have seen her in A Glass onion
if you saw that, movie The detective movie With Daniel.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
Craig Daniel Daniel. Craig great, Movie, yeah great, Movie knives
The Knives out Genre Edward. Norton in the sequel To
Knives Out Glass. Onion she's the star in. It she's
also In Hidden, Figures she's In.

Speaker 5 (06:40):
Moonlight she's a great. Actress, ANYWAY i know you were
just googling, her so you know who she is now
but when did she time travel and how did she prove?
It Janelle, manee so she's in this interview With Lucy,
dakers another one of my favorite, people and they're sitting
down aiming a, chat And Janelle monet just says straight
up that she's been time.

Speaker 8 (06:59):
TRAVELING i think WHEN i Saw David, bowie SO i.
DID i traveled back into the nineteen seventies AND i
saw him do The Ziggy starts and The spiders From
ours and it was.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
Incredible you, TRAVELED i was.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
Sack, yeah incredible. Words she went back to the. Seventies
so she wound the time machine back fifty five. Years
that's all the Events David bowie and the Zig Zig.
STARS a great time to go, back good time to
go back to hung out with her backstage apparently apparently
she's apparently she likes get heading back in and around the.
Noughties that's her favorite time to head back to her

(07:35):
she's time traveled multiple. Times she hasn't us what's her
what's her? Vessel what vessel does she use going to?
That she didn't say like where's the machine or. Anything
she Just.

Speaker 5 (07:45):
Lucy, Dakers, no she didn't ask her. That, Oh, god
such a good follow up. QUESTION i think IT'S i.
THINK i don't think she has a. MACHINE i think
she just does it in her.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
MIND i did have one moment WHEN i was living
In way on the music. FESTIVAL i was there for.
THAT i don't, know we we we REALIZED i wasn't time.
Traveling THEN i did have a moment, though WHEN i
was In perth on a beach WHEN i went for a. Swim,
yeah AND i remember thinking to, MYSELF i really, LIKE

(08:12):
i really would have loved a, towel and IF i
had a, TOWEL i would HAVE i would have hung
it on That oh my. God and there was this
blue towel right AND I i did have this moment
though WHERE i was, LIKE i, think past me put
a towel, there BUT i think in my in the
way THAT i, see is it your? Towel, Nah so past,

(08:34):
me past men stole a towel and then put it
exactly WHERE i would have put it. There AND i
just had a swim in that exact. LOCATION i didn't
see tower then. SWIM i, swam then saw a towel
exactly WHERE i want to put a, Towel AND i
had this MOMENTERE i was, like MAYBE i did time.
Travel BUT i think what happens with time travel is
that you get an instant amnesia of the future time
all the past.

Speaker 5 (08:52):
Time so whatever TIME i would count no memory of
the time. Travel you can't remember that you've time.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
Traveled because SO i think about this when you live
your life, now, guys, like there will be moments where you, go,
OH i just WISH i put, That oh my, god
there's a kit kat chunky in my garden or, something
and just know that if that ever happens to, you
maybe it was past you to put it, there that
those maybe they, Happened those moments happen all the, time

(09:18):
right thirty six?

Speaker 2 (09:20):
Five WOULDN'T mindu serve my, god it's on the.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
Table did you experience?

Speaker 6 (09:28):
That?

Speaker 1 (09:30):
Yeah, Sure but Like i'm not my assumption isn't That
i've traveled back in. Time it happens enough times you
start thinking if if it had have been your, towel
THAT i would have been, like we've got something. Here,
well technically it was my, towel because past me stolet,
Okay and then by that time it let's go to a.
SONG i think someone's killed it's all can she if she?

(09:52):
Could we? ALL i, mean this is this is the
great conundrum that humankind. Faces time is this construct that
we just can't. Break we can't see him to appears
the void woods and YET i think we can bend. It,
yeah they're, sure but then there's all sorts of complications
there because you know how long we effects start bending.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
Time that's what scares.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
Me, no go.

Speaker 5 (10:12):
Back you're talking about that change the. World, No i'm
not talking about. It and that's not the butterfly. Effect
just WHY i put you down one more? Time ashton
body shot and. Headshot, no, no, No.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
Ashton the butterfly effect is LIKE i don't. Care, well
then you shouldn't have brought it. Up the butterfly. Eves,
okay well then and bending time we'll talk about it.

Speaker 5 (10:32):
Later it's, like, Okay So Janelle monee by the, way
outside of all the, physics despite all the difficulties of
A rosenkrantz, bridge she and that's what that's the issue
with bending, time by the, way just little.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
FLAKES i do know what that's. About Janelle Monee. Bridge, yeah,
yeah she can time.

Speaker 5 (10:53):
Travel she sat, down she's a she's a singer and
a rapper and an. Actress she sat down with a,
Magazine The, guard and actually like reputable. Magazine she sat
down with him and just straight up told him where she'd.

Speaker 8 (11:05):
BEEN i think WHEN i Saw David, bowie you SAW i.
DID i traveled back into the nineteen seventies AND i
saw him Do ziggy start us and The spiders From,
mars and it was incredible you.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
TRAVELED i was. Sack, yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
There is no.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
Proof that's what annoys.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
Me just, like give us if you do it all the,
time just give us one piece of, evidence like bring
Back ziggy's jocks.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
Or you, know you don't have to bring his jocks,
back but, like do SOMETHING i.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
Don't, think WELL i just. Don't, YEAH i don't think
they don't believe.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
It but, again what would help.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
Us it's, evidence AND i would hold that the call
that we've, received, well we've got a time and.

Speaker 5 (11:44):
As we said in the, SONG i, mean this guy's
name Is, jerry perfect name for someone who's time, traveling
classic like classic time.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
Traveling.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
Jerry welcome To William.

Speaker 5 (11:54):
Woody you're hearing, well good, mate are you Hearing Janelle
manet's story and just thinking to, yourself a fellow time,
traveler a time fellow voyager through the.

Speaker 9 (12:03):
Ages, OH i just had to have a laugh a, because,
like i'd just finished, work turned the radio on and
THEN i heard you guys talking about time, traveling and
it just brought back a memory THAT i had from
WHEN i was age. Younger to, Us i'd essentially gone
out nightclub a couple of the boys and ended up
a bit under the weather by the end of, it
AND i went to walk home just to get there

(12:24):
and realize THAT i hadn't actually lived there in about five,
years and because you can, IMAGINE i was pretty. Sure
SO i was, Like, okay THEN i had to walk
another hour in the opposite direction to my new.

Speaker 10 (12:34):
House as you.

Speaker 11 (12:38):
Could, IMAGINE i kind of felt like i'd somehow time
traveled the wrong.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
Way, So, jerry you're out of the nightclub till four
o'clock in the, morning, Right, oh, whenever let's not put a,
TIME i won't do it to.

Speaker 12 (12:55):
You so it.

Speaker 11 (12:56):
Was it was pretty funny, Though like every TIME i
think about it, NOW i can't help but.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
Laugh, Like so you walked all the way, home got
all the way to the.

Speaker 11 (13:03):
Door, yeah, yeah WELL i. DID i actually and then
not quite to the.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
Door, okay not quite to the, Door so then how?
Long so did you actually have a moment when you
were standing there where you were like, Wow, YEAH.

Speaker 11 (13:15):
I definitely, did BECAUSE i was looking AND i was,
like none of this stuff.

Speaker 10 (13:19):
Is, mine AND i was quite a. Minute oh, No,
yeah it was a bit of a funny.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
Moment did that have anything to do with what you've
been up doing the?

Speaker 11 (13:31):
Nightclub i've only been, drinking to be, honest but as
you can, TELL i had quite a. Few so WHEN
i got there and realized it wasn't wasn't my, HOUSE
i was just, Like, okay it's been a while actually
Since i've linked.

Speaker 1 (13:43):
You nothing to do with the booze for, Mine, jerry
you traveled to die my, Friends jerry's had, it he's done.
It SO i think he traveled from from from my,
understanding you've traveled forward five. Years that's what you.

Speaker 6 (13:56):
Did he's.

Speaker 1 (13:57):
Gone he went back five. Years didn't you go? Forward?
Yeah definitely doesn't. Know what did you do when he
had access to someone else's? Account that could be, anything

(14:20):

his password for His.

Speaker 1 (14:29):

AND i think about, IT i did a little sneaky.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
Check so what's what's the wildest thing you found when
you were doing a little peruse through His? Instagram SO i.

Speaker 7 (14:45):
Actually had his password from when we were, dating and
that's HOW i found.

Speaker 11 (14:48):

started off at when people were trying to like make it.
Realistic that was what it was really good and you weren't.

Speaker 5 (17:04):

like this is not, realistic and this is also just
