Speaker 1 (00:10):
My Herd podcasts, hear more kids podcasts, playlists, and listen
live on the Free I hard.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Hates well, i'e be having a wonderful drive home.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
We've got Simon and Lockey Wiggle who join us right now? Boys,
the Boys, The Boys, the Boys.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Hey guys.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
I know.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
Obviously for people that don't know the Wiggles, well, I'm
sure that you know. If you haven't seen the Wiggles,
dot code is awesome actually on stand. But I imagine
like there's a moment for you guys were waiting in
the wings and you're getting your your new singlets purple
and read it.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
Skippies risk What did I say? Singles the Summer, Wiggles
the Summer. It's a good bit. You guys should thinking
about that.

Speaker 4 (00:54):
It's just a murch.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
Idea that's for free.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Is there a moment where you get like, is there
a ceremony in the in the skivvy handovers. I mean
I'm imagining like a baggy green sort of Cricket Australia
sort of a setup.

Speaker 4 (01:04):
Yeah you'd like to think so, but I mean I
just fit Murray's Skivvy. So I think that's why I
got the job. It was like the same size.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
It was like in Cinderella to turn around.

Speaker 5 (01:19):
Wow, we wore in training shirts for the first eight months.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
Yeah, a couple of help plates on the back training
in training to get you two hundred hours in the
original Wiggles.

Speaker 6 (01:34):
I mean, I assume that were part of the decision
processes to like, do these guys have what it takes
to be legit Wiggles?

Speaker 5 (01:40):
Yeah, we got. We got told after the fact that
we toured with them in twenty twelve. They went all
around the world to say goodbye to all the fans
which we were a part of, and they said, after
they kind of asked us to be Wiggles, that they
were watching us in meet and greet settings or during
the shows to see how we would react and interact
with children without without us knowing, which was which was

(02:01):
really lovely. They were taking the time to make sure
that we had those qualities.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
Yeah, it is more about that and how you interact
with your audience and you meet and greets and children
with additional needs and all those sort of things that
come with the job. It's all about how you relate
to families in that light as much as whether you
can sing and dance and do all that and also lifestyle.
You know, you really can't be a wiggle if you're
going to want to be out at three o'clock every morning.
That doesn't come with the jobs.

Speaker 6 (02:26):
And when you say interact with your audience, we're not
just talking about kids. I'm looking at a photo right
here of Robert de Niro backstage at your New York show.
What's it like having Robert de Niro come backstage after
a show.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
That was pretty wild? That was kind of frightening. You
know you've seen him. He was the most lovely man.
We probably sped up to close to an hour with
him backstage. Yeah, we just sat and chatted with him
in his beautiful family and just chatted about all sorts
of things, and he had photos with everyone. He was
so generous with his time, and he stayed and watched

(03:02):
the whole show. Our tour manager went out about three
quarters away through the show and said, look, it's finishing soon.
If you want to, I can take you at the back.
And he said, no, I'm loving it. I want to stay,
said the whole thing left with everyone else. It was
quite incredible.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Oh that's amazing.

Speaker 6 (03:15):
Do you do any de Niro gear in that show, like,
are you talking to me, Dorothy?

Speaker 4 (03:21):
You're talking to me? Wow?

Speaker 3 (03:27):
We didn't, we didn't fair enough, professionals, you're professional.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
I'd speculators to why de Niro is a big Wiggles fan,
But I think he does have about twelve children, doesn't he?

Speaker 4 (03:36):
Yeah, well he did go to the original he went,
he's been to the show before, the original Wiggles, and
he now has a two year old.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Recently, didn't he? And he's like eighty something.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
The first six rows, the first six rows was just then.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Hey, guys, before you get out of here, let's talk
about you. A brand new album. It is called The
Tree of Wisdom.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Two new singles out now Nutbush City Limits, which we know,
and he's always a banger. Actually looking forward to busting
that dance out again. It's been too Longwoods and a
brand new one. I'm not even gonna try and pronounce this,
but have a listen.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
It's a hod bit.

Speaker 6 (04:22):
Love that that you could imagine coming on at a
in a mix.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Hot guys, nice who produced that?

Speaker 2 (04:35):
I'm in van Buren Nice.

Speaker 5 (04:41):
That's Johnny beat.

Speaker 4 (04:42):
Yeah, I think that's a Johnny beat. So RICKAPOUTI and
a fan down Google. That's what the tree says. That's
his catchphrase. Yeah, we we don't know how to spell it,
so I don't know what you've got written down there.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
I don't want to say it.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
So it's exciting the records coming out, guys. Clearly though
the PR team have mister beat. I mean, when did
you discover that Taylor Swift was also releasing her album
on that day?

Speaker 3 (05:07):
Or have you gone for her? Are you coming to Swift?

Speaker 4 (05:11):
But it was actually mentioned the other day when someone realized,
but you know, we're not We're not here to compete,
you know.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
Get your shut across the when you need him, it'd
be in there. Swift Swift v. The Wiggles. Who's going
to sell more units?

Speaker 2 (05:30):
Yeah, it's great.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
Save guys.
