Speaker 1 (00:10):
My hard podcasts, hear more kids podcasts, playlists, and listen
live on the free I Hard app.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
You are wearing a twelve kilo preggy belly get you
can do it?

Speaker 3 (00:27):
Yes, And in an hour's time or in well half
an hour's time, we are going to be playing the
audio from our birth in class this morning. Will just
I think you're going to have to be a support
for me tomorrow when I am giving birth live on
the radio show. We're going to look forward to that
five hours of simulated labor, and I just think you

(00:48):
have a big role to play in getting me through that.
And I think most of the week you've been laughing
at me and not being a great support.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
So I have my own family to be supportive towards
as well.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
You know I am also family.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
Okay, Well, this is work at the end of the day. Yes,
if you had to push me on it, yeah, No,
it's more than work. It is more than what It's
more than work for you. I'm just going to I
feel like you've bitten off more than you can chew.
Absolutely you're projecting. Yeah, that's probably the case. Anyway, I'm
giving birth to more. I'm very excited about that.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
But I was saying on the show yesterday that we
also had a flight this morning, and again, my goal
for the entire week was to never take the pregnancy
belly off.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
That's right.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
I really just wanted to get through the five days
just so I could really get an idea of what
it is like to have this heavy belly on all
the time. But I knew getting through airport security was
going to be a problem. Yeah, Like, let's be honest.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
You've got a sack of it's white sand looking materials
strapped to your person. Yes, yes, really not a good look.
Couple of flags now you flags in the street, let
alone flags at an airport.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
A lot of steering, and you never want to be
getting stairs during a security checkpoint at an airport. So
you don't know exactly what happened, But basically I got
to the front of the queue and I was like,
I'm just going to be proactive here. I'm going to
be honest about the fact that you know, there's a
preging belly strapped to me, and I'm going to try
and explain why I'm doing this. So I say that
to the first person that I see. He has a

(02:12):
big laugh. He was like, that's hilarious, and he was like,
I reckon, we can probably get you through. Oh wow,
all good, but let me just put you in touch
with the like the head person. Right this woman comes out.
I explained it to her as well. She didn't find
it as funny. She was just she was just like right, okay.
And then I was like, yeah, so I'd really really
like to you know, I want to get the belly

(02:33):
on for the whole week, so I'd love to get
through the security while keeping it on. And she was
like absolutely not, and I was like right.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
And they found it funny.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
I was like, bring the old guy back. He was
lovely and she was like, no, absolutely not, you can't
do that. And I was like okay, well, next problem
is I'm gonna need some help getting out of this
and she was like what do you mean And I
was like, well, it's all strapped from the back. I
don't know how I'm going to get out. And she
was like okay. You Peak hour really busy, so there

(03:01):
are people obviously, like I'm having this conversation, there are
people cued up behind me going like what is this
person doing? And then I start removing my clothes so
even more confusion from the people behind.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
But it's pretty much good. It's it's on your skin,
it's no shirt underneath.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
So I start removing my clothes, which again is just
garnering more looks, more interest, more confusion. Everyone sees this canvas,
huge bulbous canvas thing strapped to my body. So it's like,
what are we witnessing here?

Speaker 4 (03:27):
The woman's I've got boobs, I should say, we've got breasts. Yeah,
you know, it's not just the sack. It's just it's
not just a sack strap to your belt. You do
know it does look like you're transitioning.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
I don't think anyone thought that. I think.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
I think.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
I think it looks like three big packages strapped to
the front of my body. That's what?

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Like?

Speaker 2 (03:46):
What that makes you constantly look like a woman.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
No, but it's white canvas. It doesn't look like a
body without Without it, you.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Look, I think you look like more of a woman
than you think.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
Okay, well, anyway, people com hearing that to you as
I appreciate that. So then finally this male worker comes
out and he's like, what am I doing here? And
I was like, can you just help me get this thing?
Off me and he was like right. So then event
we both struggle. We managed to get the fake preggy
belly off. But then at that point I'm I'm topless,
so I'm just standing there in my shorts, which again

(04:17):
is people are going like why is there a dude
with his top off at the security checking the woman
who's in charge, she comes back and goes, you can't
come through security with your top off, and I was like,
made me strip, thank you. And then I was like,
my top is with my bag, it's gone through the thing.
I don't I don't have a shirt. And she was like,
oh right, come with me. And then so she like
ushes me through and I'm walking through topless through security

(04:41):
and then I've got to do that three D scanding
where I'm standing in the power pots with my top.
At this point, the other security bell going why is
there a guy with his shirt off going through security? Anyway,
eventually I got the.

Speaker 5 (04:54):
Person behind you and said like new protocol, mate, get
yours off everyone and not lacking shirts anyway.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
They took a sample of the belly as well, obviously, yeah, yeah, yeah.
They wanted to make sure that it was actually sand
that was inside the breaking Bell.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
I mean we knew it to be an issue. Yeah, right,
but this is big.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
It was big. It was big, but anyway got through
and then you had to I had to wait for you.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
Yeah, I just dumped you back on in the air.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
But by that stage I could put my T shirt
back on. But then, yes, I am restrapped up.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Now. Unfortunately Tom Ballard was walking past. Yeah, that was awkward.

Speaker 5 (05:26):
And Ballad gives us enough grief for commercial radio. I
mean he's obviously he's been an ABC guy for years,
never gone down the commercial path. Yeah, he's you me
strapping a pregnant belly onto you in an airport and
he was like.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
Oh, what's this? Commercial radio is done?

Speaker 2 (05:44):
Are they very different? YouTube
