weeks where the baby was a bit late, where I
was like.

Maybe it's a boy. I don't know.

It was the first time that I was like, there
is a chance this is a boy. And then especially
when it was overdue, I was like, it's a prick,
it's a boy. He's making this way. It's definitely a boy.
So we actually we had a different name for a boy. Yeah,
but then obviously it's a girl. So we got to
call herm Murphy Beautiful, which was really really nice.

Like in the birth suite, like the lead up, because
I mean, I just got a message from you just

So we drove in straight away, and thankfully we did
because in the car things started amping up very similar

into the birth suite, which was great. And then I
think this time round, just because we've done it once,
we just had a few more.

We were totally fine with drugs effectively, so to deal
with the pain, MIM this time around was like I

let's do that. And I think part of that was
to not have the drugs as an option. As soon
as like an epidural or something was an option, she

would have taken it because the pain just ramps up
so quickly.

So I just spent seven minutes telling the birth story

it and it god, brime off will screaming. So I

started screaming as well. Interesting, and so in my I
started grunting.

I was going like this, like next to her and
the bed.

And then I was moving between that and oxytosin seated
in oxytocin seated in, which is that thing that we
do when we cuddle. But then but then my growling,
I started yelling, and so in my head I was like,
I don't want you to feel self conscious.

I'm bloody going for it.

So it was just the two of us yelling and
so then so then baby starts coming. We're push and
then so that was the moment though, where Baby's head
was just starting to come out, and Mim went nuts,

Done here and I was like, no, we're not doing
it because it was hurting so much.

It was like head is coming out. So then legs
were back up and so so baby.

then reach forward pulled them and was.

And then the midwife was like no, no, you want this,
you want this, and then Mim did lean forward, pulled
the baby out, and it was the quickest check of
the downstairs.

Yep, it's a girl. And it's so funny how like
it's like we knew it was a girl as well.

baby baby came out. I so then Mim had some
beautiful time with the baby. I had my first hold
of Murphy, which was like, as you know, it's just

special moment. My first daughter, Remy, took a wing on
me first time I held her. That was like her thing.

daughter was born, the first thing she did was take
a piss on me, and Murph, obviously just wanting to

I've got a towel on nearly well, it got to push, yes,
beautiful here we are, big moment when you transition from
labor to push. And so she was feeling all of
it and it god, brime off will screaming. So I
(08:16):
started screaming as well. Interesting, and so in my I
started grunting.
Speaker 3 (08:22):
I was going like this, like next to her and
the bed.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
And then I was moving between that and oxytosin seated
in oxytocin seated in, which is that thing that we
do when we cuddle. But then but then my growling,
I started yelling, and so in my head I was like,
I don't want you to feel self conscious.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
About yelling, like get it out. I'm yelling as well.
I'm bloody going for it.
Speaker 1 (08:45):
So it was just the two of us yelling and
so then so then baby starts coming. We're push and
then so that was the moment though, where Baby's head
was just starting to come out, and Mim went nuts,
stop everything.
Speaker 3 (08:57):
I can't do this, and well, like legs down was
just like we're.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
Done here and I was like, no, we're not doing
it because it was hurting so much.
Speaker 4 (09:05):
Oh my god.
Speaker 1 (09:06):
She was like nope, nope, nope, and so legs went down,
shut it down. And then obviously midwives and Bob were
like no, no, no, no, no, like baby is coming.
It was like head is coming out. So then legs
were back up and so so baby.
Speaker 4 (09:18):
I just love. Mim just tried to shut down the shot.
Speaker 3 (09:21):
No not doing it, No, go back up, go back
We'll come back tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (09:28):
So the draw bridge, no one else, no one else is.
Speaker 3 (09:32):
I don't want to.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
I don't want to scare people off, obviously like the
last wanted. But she was like it felt like I
was being like I was ripping in half. She was
like the pain.
Speaker 4 (09:41):
Was excruciat right.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
So but anyway, healthy baby came out. So it was
funny though Mim wanted to sorry, I'm sorry if scared.
Speaker 4 (09:49):
Three women outside who haven't given birth.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
Yeah, old, I'm sorry.
Speaker 4 (09:54):
I just pushed it.
Speaker 1 (09:55):
I don't want to do that, but like, I want
to give credit to my like incredibly brave and strong
wife who got through all of that. So then it
got to the point as well where it was like
Mim had said she wants to pull the baby out,
which an option, and so the midwife said like okay,
then reach forward pulled them and was.
Speaker 4 (10:12):
Like, nah, I just want to do it anymore.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
And then the midwife was like no, no, you want this,
you want this, and then Mim did lean forward, pulled
the baby out, and it was the quickest check of
the downstairs.
Speaker 3 (10:23):
Yep, it's a girl. And it's so funny how like
it's like we knew it was a girl as well.
Speaker 2 (10:28):
So how did you how did she transfer from I've
got a lot of questions for you, my god, So
you took a long.
Speaker 4 (10:35):
Time talking about the bloody showering, your jocks.
Speaker 3 (10:37):
I know, I know it was a big moment for me. Obviously,
watch your question.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
How did she go from getting the the legs down
and closed to back up? Like did you have a
word or did someone else? Who do you snd in there?
Did you have a little power wow? And you're like, right,
who's going to convince that the baby's still coming or
no choice of contraction games.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
Three midwives and ob and me. The legs started going
down and it was just a Greek chorus of just
grab everyone. Everyone grabbed because the baby's head was coming. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
Yeah, and I suppose that's the things she can't control
at that stage, that just happens.
Speaker 4 (11:13):
I wanted to happen.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
No action, baby was coming.
Speaker 1 (11:18):
So we legs went back up and it was just
a it was it was a We were filled with
beautiful midwives. We had Pip in there, we had aerin
in there, we had Lisen there, extraordinary Linel was in
the vaginal Linel. Everyone was playing their part. So then yeah,
baby baby came out. I so then Mim had some
beautiful time with the baby. I had my first hold
of Murphy, which was like, as you know, it's just
(11:40):
the first hold of the baby. It's obviously a very
special moment. My first daughter, Remy, took a wing on
me first time I held her. That was like her thing.
Speaker 4 (11:48):
What do you mean, Oh sorry, oh sorry, I thought
you meant this time around.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
Oh no, no, no no, no, no, no no. When my first
daughter was born, the first thing she did was take
a piss on me, and Murph, obviously just wanting to
see that and raise.
Speaker 3 (12:00):
Her, took a pool on me.
Speaker 4 (12:01):
Oh wow.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
So within twenty seconds, Murphy had taken a big pool
on my chest, which was, you know, also confirmed that
she's mine.
Speaker 4 (12:09):
I reckon taking a pooh, it's just very me.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
You know, like if that's her going for her first joke,
big pool on dad's chest, that's definitely my. So that
was that was a really nice it was a nice moment,
nice moment.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
But then I'd say the biggest, the biggest.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
Moment this time round, which was so we didn't experience
the first time round, was then
