Speaker 1 (00:00):
Jewell and Woody podcast Mini.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
I was a guest host on the project last night,
Wilbur and I just said to you before the song,
the worst possible thing happened ten minutes before we went live.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
So, as you know, I'm an all or nothing guy.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
And there's ten minutes before it all starts, and I
decide that I.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Need to do toozies. I need to go number twos yep.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
But at that point I'm nervous as well, massively, and
in my head I'm going I need to get this
out before I go live on TV, otherwise I won't
be able to focus. But the problem is I'm already
on the desk and I've got all my mic packs
and stuff, and I've got a near piece in and
all my packs they're plugged into my shorts and stuff.
And I was like, well, the last thing I want
to do is work our shorts. Yeah, shorts and slides.

(00:44):
Wow you can't see under the desk, ah wow, unbelievable.
I could be nude under there will, but I'm not
because I'm a professional. Anyway, I decided that I don't
want to walk up to the audio girl and say, hey, yeah,
would you mind taking all my audio year off because
I need to nip out back and take a poop,
so like that conversation can't happen.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
So I just take myself to the.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Toilet and I'm looking at all the audio gear that's
on my pants and stuff, and I'm like, I think,
I think if I just dropped out here. I think
if I'd just dropped the shorts and sit and I
don't put the shorts all the way down, then I'll
be okay.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
Hang on you why I don't.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
I think I just needed to because because are you
saying that you'll be okay?

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Is it?

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Nothing will fall off enoughing?

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Okay, that's what you're talking about. But I was a
cables but the cables not long enough.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
I know.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Okay, now you know I know.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
So I go to pull my pants down not really
thinking about it.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
Sorry, just for people out there Australian and conceptualize this,
because I think if you' having an audio pack or
might pack on you before, that might be a bit.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Hard to get.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
It's like picture when you used to plug your headphones
into your phone, right, imagine dropping your pants while the
phone's in your pocket. The headphones I was come out
of your ears yes, right, So that's that's the hazard
we're dealing with.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
But and I've got three It's like I've got three
phones on my pants because I've got the I've got
a microphone, that's the thing, and then a third one.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
I don't even know what it does, but there's a
third one attached to me as well.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Anyway, two seconds after I drop my pants and I
start moving towards the toilet to pull off the poo,
both mic packs bang bang, fall off straight in the
toilet instantly, instantly right hand straight into the toilet, grab
the mic packs.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
I'm like, oh my god, Like I definitely broke down
mike packs.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
They have thousands of dollars each.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
And at this point, yeah, we're five minutes until we're
live on tap. Oh my god.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
And I've splashed water all over my shirt and my shorts.
So I go to the hair dryer and I just
I just put these mics purely.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
You just go into the makeup room.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
And you know, no panicking, because I can't.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
I just can't walk back out there with water all
over me and go, guys, I need a new mic
pack because I was going to take a pee, because
I was embarrassed. Well anyway, so I dry my shirt.
I'm like, well, I need to get this water off
my shirt, yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
Because you could be new underneath.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
No, no, exactly. So I dry my shirt. Great, Then
the mic packs looked like they were still on like that. Still,
I could still see battery on the micpacee. I was like, well,
maybe these haven't broken. But again, the last thing I
want to do is walk out there and explain to
everyone that I've just dropped these in the toilet, so
can we test them? So rather than have that conversation,
what I do is I walk back on set and

(03:27):
as I'm just walking around the desk, I just start
going la la la la la.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Mama, Mama, Live TV. You're about to go live.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
And I'm hoping in my head like they will tell
me my MIC's not working and then they'll just assumed
they probably hand you off and that. While that was
going through my head, a little bit a little bit
anxious about that, but I just keep making noises. Anyway,
show starts, nothing, no conversation about it, and I think
it just works.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
I think amazingly, the mic packs just work. Okay, right,
So I got through it, but it worked like it
was fine.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
Did you know after no no, I still haven't told
that two of their mic packs have been in the toilet.
No no, I didn't poo. I didn't even get close
to point. It was as I had my short bang
straight in. So they've got two audio packs, which is
probably been used by some like Grant Dania potentially.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
Right, they've reuse these packs and it's been in the toilet.
