Speaker 1 (00:04):
The Will and Woody podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
It's Will and Woodies, all.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
Right, So analysis from gen Z.
Speaker 4 (00:24):
She's in here to try and try and convince this
that gen Z is relevant now. The reason I was
laughing just then is because you know, I was saying
just before the Woods actually that the problem with gen
Z is that they never really step out of their lane.
Speaker 3 (00:35):
But cudos to you.
Speaker 4 (00:37):
You tried a bit of a millennial past time a
couple of weeks ago.
Speaker 5 (00:41):
I tried riding the bike. Don't recommend guys.
Speaker 4 (00:44):
Which I don't think in hindsight gen zs can do
and they've lost the skill. The cast on your forearm,
I think is his testament to that. I don't think.
I don't think you guys can't swim. I don't think
you can't.
Speaker 5 (00:54):
No, I can swim. Excuse me, I can try can't.
It's all three.
Speaker 3 (00:59):
Because now mate, you can certainly count. It's not good, Yeah,
it's it's not good anyway.
Speaker 4 (01:07):
It's a sad state of it.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
Is the bit you've got going on about her cast.
Speaker 6 (01:12):
Anyway, Let's throw one at you here anal So again,
this whole bit is do you understand pop culture that
is relevant right now? Because I think you miss a lot.
So this is a big one and I think everyone
will know this according to mc hammer, What time is it?
Speaker 5 (01:32):
Hammer time?
Speaker 3 (01:38):
I can't believe it? Sure wow, nice a nice nice?
Speaker 5 (01:45):
That might hurt myself. We went for a fist pump
and I have a broken mission. I cannot miss pump.
Speaker 7 (01:53):
Okay, I want you to finish the line from this movie.
I'll play the first bit.
Speaker 5 (01:57):
And then you've got to finish the line.
Speaker 8 (01:59):
Easy, your chase go along, damn nice catch Cheer?
Speaker 3 (02:07):
Sorry, what what just happening? There was he speaking? It
sounds like he was throwing a ball for someone.
Speaker 8 (02:13):
Your chase go along down, Nice catch, che.
Speaker 5 (02:21):
Nice catch Cheer.
Speaker 4 (02:22):
There's a guy whose name is Cheer. He's just caught
a ball. He's gone along, he's got the ball. The
guy throwing the ball goes, nice catch Cheero.
Speaker 9 (02:31):
Nice throw Steve right, nice throw Steve.
Speaker 4 (02:38):
Yeah, it's just about who is Steve at this point,
because I don't know what the bit is like, I
don't know what movie that's from.
Speaker 3 (02:42):
Who is Cheer?
Speaker 7 (02:45):
It is a big movie, and we've spoken about the
person who's in it.
Speaker 4 (02:48):
You should if it's Buddy Wears, what's his name is?
Speaker 3 (02:51):
Anderson. No that that singer guy, No guy from I
think nice throw Steve.
Speaker 10 (03:02):
No my name quarterback?
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Now?
Speaker 3 (03:06):
What is it a house of pain? We're back in there.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
No.
Speaker 7 (03:11):
The response no, not my Name Quarterback is a big
meme at the moment on the internet, and it's from
the movie The Sidelined Quarterback and.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
Men water and me.
Speaker 5 (03:24):
Everyone in their cars? Whose gen z will know? Not
my Name Quarterback? That's how she said it, essentially, do
you guys want to try? Its really good.
Speaker 6 (03:35):
If you're not across what happened to an amazing woman
called Chloe Pink, I'll quickly recap it. So Chloe Pink
married Toby Pink, who is a North Melbourne AFL footballer.
Speaker 9 (03:46):
I had a secret wedding earlier this year.
Speaker 6 (03:49):
A couple of months later, media found out that they
got married secretly and reached out to them and said, hey,
we just love to cover in the news the fact
that you had this secret wedding.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
Chloe and Toby said yes.
Speaker 11 (04:03):
So.
Speaker 6 (04:03):
I think a few outlets the Herald Sun I think
they were the first ones to jump on it in Melbourne.
They posted some photos of the wedding, did a story
about the secret wedding. When this story got out, the
comments that were made on the story online were disgusting
a lot about Chloe's appearance. So we brought Chloe into
(04:24):
the studio and she spoke about that.
Speaker 12 (04:27):
Wow, there was a lot of viral comments coming hard
and fast, all about my appearance, all about my weight.
There were comments calling me a fridge, comments saying that
Toby was a AFL player by day, pick hunter by night. Yeah,
there was the comments that genuinely shocked me, not even
(04:48):
just calling me fat like that was really vile comments.
And they were not just one or two I think,
yeah it was. It was it's been a hard, hard week,
not just one or two either. There was so so many,
and Harold Sun did what they could, like they were
deleting the comments, and eventually they had to turn off
the comments. But it was I'd never experienced anything like it,
(05:09):
and I guess I it was a bit naive. And
I know that I'm going to get a hate comment.
I know that someone's going to call me fat, but
I didn't expect it to this extent.
Speaker 3 (05:17):
Did you know that?
Speaker 4 (05:18):
Sorry just to because he said I knew that I
was going to get a comment.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
Someone's good. So Jackie calls you in the Harold Sun.
Speaker 4 (05:23):
Probably a lot of people's dream in the back of
your mind was also a thought where you were like,
I know someone's going to call me fat publicly in
these photos.
Speaker 12 (05:31):
Yeah, yeah, I know.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
How did you know that?
Speaker 12 (05:35):
Because I've been to another event where my photo's been posted,
I've also received one or two comments about the way
that I look. I can take that, which I shouldn't
have to, but I did not expect the vile comments
and to the extent and the nature of what was
to come.
Speaker 6 (05:52):
So when these comments start coming through, how did you
see them?
Speaker 12 (05:55):
So I read the comments and I just spent I
think three days straight crying. Initially, Toby's like, no way,
there's no way. And Toby just sat there in silence
for like a good day, and he's like, I am
so sorry. And it felt like he was apologizing to
me because I was saying, oh, it's just I was
crying and it really hurt. But in the back of
(06:17):
my mind, I kept saying, it's just part of his job.
It's fine, it's just part of his job. But the
more I reflect on that, it's not If I say that,
I'm excusing your behavior, and I go into my TikTok
and I have like hundreds of comments that, yes, ninety
nine percent of my response has been from women, but
only one percent has been from men. Yeah, one percent,
(06:37):
ninety nine percent women. It's up to us men to
call it out. It's not going to stop if the
men are calling it out.
Speaker 6 (06:45):
So I want to pick up on what she just
said there at the end of that audio, which is
that only one percent of men were commenting or messaging
her in support. So we posted a video of her
coming to the studio and got a massive response, thousands
of comments apparently. And my wife actually said to me
because she saw the video and was reading the comments,
and she said, what do he not one bloke has
(07:09):
commented on this video? Wow, I for thousands of comments
that have come through it, these are all women. So
I just thought, thirteen one oh sixty five.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
It's the same thing repeating effectively. Yeah, well, well not really.
It's almost worse than that, isn't it.
Speaker 4 (07:21):
It's like men are only saying something if it's disgusting.
Speaker 6 (07:27):
I think there's a lot of blokes going I'm not
the one saying the disgusting things. So I'm not the
problem here. But I think again, I think we can
be a bit better here by being a bit proactive
and actually messaging with support they're doing more so again,
just want to throw it out to the fellas here.
Does anyone want to call right now and just give
a thought or an opinion on this story? Where do
(07:50):
you sit with it? And do you want to publicly
talk about it?
Speaker 4 (07:52):
Now?
Speaker 3 (07:52):
All right? Clothes you there?
Speaker 13 (07:55):
Yes, yes, I'm here.
Speaker 2 (07:56):
Hi.
Speaker 6 (07:57):
We've opened the phone lines for guys to call now
and just give their views and thoughts on what happened
to you, Chloe. I think it's really nice actually that
you're here and they can actually say it to you.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
I think that takes it one step further than.
Speaker 4 (08:08):
Just nice, good producing world done guys. Doubletick for you too.
Speaker 9 (08:12):
Anyway, Nikki, welcome to the show mate.
Speaker 14 (08:14):
Hello, Yeah, hey, you going boys?
Speaker 3 (08:16):
Good? You've got Chloe here? Did you want to say
something about what happened to her?
Speaker 14 (08:20):
Chloe? You just got to ignore all that horrible and
disgusting behavior. I'm from England and obviously during the last
World Cup we have a guy called Declan Rice who's
a super excellent football player, but because his girlfriend isn't
a size eight like the rest of the team's wife.
(08:41):
She got so much hatred on our English website. It's
just disgusting And if I was you, I would think
to myself, you know what, I'm waking up every day
next to an AFL player who earned plads of money.
Speaker 4 (08:56):
So's us that, Hey, Nikki, are you like I know
you're britt I reckon the culture there is arguably in
some instance is worse than it is Australia. Do you
find as a man it's hard to call out other
men who are like this, who are weight shaming and misogynistic,
et cetera.
Speaker 14 (09:11):
Yeah, I don't even think it's got anything to do
with that. Obviously, people get so fixated within the teams
that they support that they just bag other people. Do
you know what I mean?
Speaker 5 (09:23):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (09:23):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (09:24):
I think it's a bit more personal than that. But
thanks for the call on here. I appreciate it. I
think it's beyond football. I think we can probably all
agree that. Yeah, Chloe, I find it ironic that your
partner Toby plays AFL because I just can't like in
any sports change room I have been in that I
find that this is such a task to get men
(09:47):
to stop other men behaving in that way.
Speaker 3 (09:51):
What does Toby say about that?
Speaker 13 (09:53):
No, I completely agree.
Speaker 15 (09:55):
He agrees as well.
Speaker 13 (09:57):
I think a good point that I had the other
day is if you're not a part of the solution,
you're still part of the system.
Speaker 3 (10:03):
Yeah that's right.
Speaker 4 (10:04):
Yeah, yeah, your silence is correct.
Speaker 13 (10:07):
And although it may be uncomfortable, and you'll find this
comfort in calling it out, but that's nothing compared to
what women deal with every day.
Speaker 15 (10:18):
So it might feel.
Speaker 13 (10:19):
Uncomfortable for you for five minutes, but that had so
much more of an impact, and that discomfort is worth
a lot of value.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
Let's go to Ryan, Ryan, we've got more men calling in.
This is this is great? Ryan. How do you feel
about this?
Speaker 11 (10:33):
I'm honestly disgusted, to be honest, that no bloke has
really come forward and sharing support. Really because you know,
as I said to the producer before we're going to
meet your old sister, I don't want her jumping on
social media and having that much being body shamed or
hate thrown towards her. So you know, I can't speak
(10:53):
for all all blokes put on my behalf and praying
my brothers and everything you know, if you've got nothing
nice to say, don't say it at all. You know,
there's no point putting other people down. We're trying to
make the world happier place. It's not the right day
and age for it anymore.
Speaker 4 (11:09):
I think there's also beyond the two parts I reckon
to this. First of all, there is definitely a sense
of like if I'm a bigger dickhead, I'm a bigger man.
We both went to private boys schools, Like I know
that for a fact, Like when you're a teenager, that's
basically we're.
Speaker 9 (11:24):
Trying to impress other impress other guys.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
If you do that, that's the thing that is there.
Speaker 4 (11:30):
But I think there are ways of being a dickhead
that don't involve hurting other people. You can still be
silly and still be American without needing to hurt people.
I'd love to see where you take this, Clothe because
I think you're onto something, and I think.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
This is a really plausible thing that.
Speaker 4 (11:45):
We can actually change if the right steps are taken
in the right place with young boys, in particular, to
start changing the way they talk. I think yeah.
Speaker 13 (11:54):
I think a big point as well is women don't
need you to feel guilty. We're not trying to shame you.
We don't need the men to feel guilty. We need
you to just show up like. It's not about shaming men,
it's about we're asking for your help. I'm not trying
to shame you. I'm literally asking for your help to
call it out.
Speaker 4 (12:14):
If we just remove the gender thing as well, it's
just people being nice to other people.
Speaker 3 (12:27):
Thank you so much. Coming on Chloe Pink there.
Speaker 4 (12:29):
If you want to see the original video overseas, so
Will and Woody on Instagram and TikTok. We can get
some men coming out of that video would say, we're asking,
what is the worst fight you've had with your partner
while you've been traveling.
Speaker 6 (12:43):
I think it happens to all of us. I don't
know why, but we fight on holiday. It happened with
French president Emanuel Macron. He's been seen, i mean, getting
slapped effectively by his wife as they stepped up a.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
Plane delicious wine.
Speaker 6 (12:55):
He did mention before that she's his teacher. So maybe
that you told me not to mention. So I don't
know why we're going back she was his teacher. May
that maybe that's just the sort of relationship. Perhaps she
still punishes him like a naughty boy occasionally.
Speaker 3 (13:08):
I won't comment on that, but maybe that might.
Speaker 4 (13:10):
Be a thing of this, you know, that might be
that's a happy dynamic for them.
Speaker 6 (13:13):
They have said actually interesting to say that that they
were playfighting, so could be some truth to that. I
don't forget. This is Mum and Dad. Dad is against
like taxis when he's overseas, like he's.
Speaker 4 (13:27):
More of a great travel He's like, no plans, no taxis.
Speaker 6 (13:32):
He's like, we're in this city once in our lives.
Why wouldn't we enjoy the streets.
Speaker 9 (13:37):
I go for a walk.
Speaker 6 (13:37):
I never forget my mum saying we're pretty far from
the hotel. I think we need some public transport. It's
late Steve and he goes, no, why I'm walking, And
then the rest of the family gets in the cab
and Dad walks. It took him six hours to walk hour.
He was on the other side of the city and
he got lost, knew and he still said, I had
a lovely night going for a fruit of war.
Speaker 3 (13:56):
We're in London. We're in London and he wanted to walk.
Speaker 6 (14:00):
All know, you can't walk around London's got to come
in here, come.
Speaker 3 (14:05):
This was a recent fight on holiday.
Speaker 15 (14:08):
Super recent, like just a week ago.
Speaker 3 (14:11):
Oh wow, okay fresh one freshman.
Speaker 15 (14:13):
Yeah, super fresh. So like the family's still not talking.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 15 (14:19):
So what happened was we went to South Africa. It
was my brother's wedding and we'd booked with my parents,
my husband, myself, and our toddler to go all over together.
And we were there for a month and the last
forty eight hours, my husband decides that he's had enough
of my dad's controlling behavior and decided to go mia
(14:42):
for forty eight hours. And literally on the day that
we are meant to fly back to city, get a
call to say he's in hospital. He ended up at
a casino, had too many drinks, tripped over something and
needed to turn staples in the back of his head.
And that was the literally hours before we had to
be at the airport make flight. It was disastrous and
(15:08):
then it just kept yeah, and then he met us
at the airport on time, for God, but it just
kept going like the whole flight was like a disaster.
He chose to sit on a different aisle. It was
just a week ago, just a week ago.
Speaker 3 (15:24):
Yes, yeah, so we packed these bags coming.
Speaker 6 (15:26):
Then like, if he's gone straight to the airport after
having a stack at the casino, are his bags still
in South Africa?
Speaker 15 (15:31):
No, So I packed everything. I packed everything up and
took it with me and it was like, well, if
he's not there, then I'm going to have to just
leave it because I don't have the extra.
Speaker 3 (15:42):
Allow it.
Speaker 15 (15:44):
And he was in such a mood. He was like,
I'll just buy a new clothes. It's fine, and I
was just like.
Speaker 13 (15:52):
It was awful, and my dad was of course.
Speaker 3 (15:58):
It's a long flight. That's a long flight home.
Speaker 15 (16:00):
It was a long fly and it's been a long
week since.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
You still hear that coming and unity voice, and I
feel for you speaking of men being encourageable overseas. Yes,
so I went to a ski resort with my partner
Sam in Japan. She's a great.
Speaker 6 (16:10):
Skier, yes, very good at pants, which is much better
at sports.
Speaker 3 (16:15):
Than me, which is already humiliating.
Speaker 4 (16:17):
Yes, I was snowboarding because I'm you know, I'm a
low pant riding cool guy. I'd never snowboarded in powder before.
I'm not sure it's ever been in Japan. It's kind
of famous for having this like caster sugar style snow,
which is traditionally very hard to navigate, particularly on a snowboard.
Speaker 3 (16:33):
But again, I'm encourageable.
Speaker 4 (16:34):
I'm a man chipping my shoulder about the fact that
my partner's better at sports than I am.
Speaker 3 (16:38):
I don't need ski school.
Speaker 4 (16:39):
I'll get straight out, mate, take me to take me
off piece, as they would say. So we're going down
a standard run. Sam said, I'm going to go off piece. Anyway,
I went down off piece. So what is off peace
means the off the trail, so you just it's just
trees and like caster sugar snow, I take one turn,
I go under.
Speaker 3 (16:56):
And when I say I go under, I mean like
the snow is over my head.
Speaker 4 (17:00):
I cannot reach my bindings and the snow is caving
into the hole in my face. It is so hectic.
I was like, I'm going to die here in the snow.
In Japan, has people get buried?
Speaker 16 (17:09):
Right?
Speaker 10 (17:09):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (17:09):
Yeah yeah. So I start screaming.
Speaker 4 (17:11):
I'm like Sam, Sam, you know, finally she's heard me.
So she stops getting She walks up the slope and
I'm like, Sam, can you just pass me one of
your poles? You're gonna have to drag me out of here.
I was like, you, no, we might forget the scadoo
up here and drag me out this zetic She reaches
down and then instead of grabbing her pole, grabs her
phone out and takes a photo of me in the snow.
Speaker 3 (17:31):
I've seen the shot. It's a great photo.
Speaker 4 (17:33):
We did not talk for the whole day. That was
the first thing in the morning. We skied all day together,
to the point where some of the chairlifts at the
snow resort with a massive so like half an hour
on the chair. Yeah, and we would sit on there
with a stranger and the stranger would only figure out
like twenty minutes into the ruin.
Speaker 3 (17:53):
Oh, you guys actually know each other. You just wouldn't talk.
Bloody hell.
Speaker 6 (17:58):
Yeah, it is a great I think I'm a pretty
nice guy. I just think I'm a likable person. So
it's strange to me that your almost three year old
daughter hates me. Like I'm not talking out of school here,
like this is a genuine issue, and she has proven
it multiple times.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
Yeah, that she hates me.
Speaker 6 (18:20):
I mean, if you've missed any of it, have listened
to thiswards.
Speaker 4 (18:24):
We have long suspected that my two year old daughter
hates him?
Speaker 3 (18:27):
Why have you suspected?
Speaker 4 (18:28):
This was vaguely confirmed on the show yesterday.
Speaker 3 (18:31):
Hello Max, Well I got home last night. I asked
her point blank, what are your friend? Do you like winning?
It's been tough?
Speaker 9 (18:41):
Well, I mean, I'm just going on with my life.
Speaker 3 (18:43):
I see, I'm not. I don't need this.
Speaker 9 (18:47):
I don't need to love of everybody coming to contact with.
Speaker 3 (18:48):
What are you talking about? I don't play that noise again,
It's actually harmful. So I do need this.
Speaker 6 (18:55):
So yesterday on the show I kind of commenteered the
radio show and just said, can we call your daughter
again just so I can, you know, tell her how
amazing I am.
Speaker 3 (19:05):
And it went terribly. Put me on speaker immediately. Can
you hear me?
Speaker 1 (19:10):
Max?
Speaker 3 (19:14):
She's running, she says, she's running, Run.
Speaker 4 (19:16):
After her, run after it.
Speaker 6 (19:21):
Okay, so she's now running away from my presence over
the phone.
Speaker 3 (19:25):
So I've now taken it upon myself. It did get
a bit pushed last time. I feel she was distressed
by the end of that.
Speaker 9 (19:32):
Well I get that.
Speaker 3 (19:32):
But if she just said the nigg you do get it.
Speaker 6 (19:34):
No, But what I'm trying to say is if she
just says I like you then I'll back it off
a little bit. If she continues to put up this
wall of hate, then I am going to push harder
and harder. And part of pushing harder is the fact
that I keep coming to your house in the morning now,
which I'm sure is incredibly annoying for you and your family.
Speaker 4 (19:51):
But you've come in two mornings this week, and both
times I've been having a shower, and if in yeah, yeah,
I was playing.
Speaker 3 (20:00):
With your dog for a while this morning.
Speaker 4 (20:01):
But morement that I knew that you were in the
house today is because I got out of the shower
and the first thing I heard was my dog's name
is Stevie. The only thing I heard was Stevie, where's
mummy or daddy or match?
Speaker 3 (20:15):
Good Chad, it's a good chat. Stevie had no idea anyway.
Speaker 6 (20:19):
I had hot cross buns though, because I was like
all kids like hot cross buns. I just want to
get some face to FaceTime with Mags and deliver the
hot cross buns. Now, my question to you is she
wasn't there no at that time? Have you delivered the merchandise?
Yes to her and explains to her in no uncertain
terms that wood he paid for that with his own money.
Speaker 4 (20:40):
Well, I don't think money is a concept that you know,
she can quite grock at this age, which is not
quite across.
Speaker 3 (20:45):
Which you should get across that it's important.
Speaker 6 (20:47):
But well, did she make it clear that what you
spent time going to get these and he's given them
to you as a gift?
Speaker 4 (20:53):
Yeah, idea has come out of his way to come again.
You laboring it like you just need to chill out
a little bit.
Speaker 3 (20:59):
Yeah, you know, like nothing.
Speaker 4 (21:01):
There's nothing less attractive than desperation, and.
Speaker 3 (21:04):
You you exuded at the current moment. Well I'll wear
her down. I don't it's two years old.
Speaker 9 (21:15):
But anyway, did you get the hot Cross buns or not?
I'm sorry I did.
Speaker 3 (21:19):
I gave you.
Speaker 4 (21:20):
You're right, she loves the hot Cross buns, but well
no she I think she was quite gracious in how
she responded. Actually, these hot Coss buns they're from Woody Friend.
Speaker 5 (21:37):
Did you say came to from Woody bag?
Speaker 3 (21:41):
I said, thanks to? Would you like me to say
thanks to? Do you like Woodie?
Speaker 1 (21:46):
Now? What is going like?
Speaker 3 (21:55):
Do you like?
Speaker 6 (21:59):
She fully understood the fact that I gave because she
thanked me.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
Can you thank me? And then still say I'm not
friends with you.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
Okay, this I just flighted perfectly as much as I
couldn't be prouder of it.
Speaker 4 (22:11):
She's almost like she knew it was a bit, and
she was gracious as well. She was polite, didn't forget
her manners. Said thank you, make sure you say thank you.
But I still like that guy. I felt a lot
of proud pride for my child over over there last
you know, two and a half, three years. I'm sure
you never swelled with more pride than I did. I'm
sure I'm sure you're loving. I almost think that she
knows it's a bit now. I couldn't be proud of her.
Speaker 3 (22:33):
It feels too real.
Speaker 6 (22:34):
She's two and a half. She can't know it's a
bit what you said. She doesn't grow money, she doesn't
grock bits.
Speaker 3 (22:39):
Mate.
Speaker 6 (22:40):
Anyway, I just need to know from other people. Thirteen
one oh sixty five is our number. Yeah, does your
kid hate someone for like no reason?
Speaker 3 (22:51):
Is it? Like?
Speaker 6 (22:51):
Is this actually a thing that young children just assigned,
that they hate someone?
Speaker 9 (22:56):
I think so, because right now I feel very alone.
Speaker 3 (22:59):
Yeah, I feel very skill. You're the only only adult
that's hated by.
Speaker 6 (23:03):
A toddler, So they're out there thirteen one oh sixty five.
Does your kid just did that? Has decide to hate
someone for no real reason? And then I guess the
secondary question is did they ever get through it?
Speaker 4 (23:20):
You're fresh to the show, you should know that my
two and a half year old daughter has now kindgorically
confirmed on four different occasions that she hates Woody Well
hates a strong word.
Speaker 3 (23:31):
She doesn't like you.
Speaker 4 (23:32):
She doesn't see I actually wouldn't ask you if she
hates anything, but she doesn't see you as a friend,
which arguably hurts more.
Speaker 3 (23:37):
It does.
Speaker 4 (23:37):
I think I'd prefer the hate weird be more simple
to hate, isn't it. It's like it's clearly a childish response.
Total I don't want him as my friend? Is that's calculated.
Speaker 6 (23:47):
She's thought about it absolutely, despite the fact that I
am coming over to your house regularly now and I
will continue to do this and interrupt your beautiful warnings
and deliver gifts to your daughter until she says, I
am her friend?
Speaker 3 (24:00):
Who are you doing that? For? The small child.
Speaker 6 (24:03):
Inside of me? And that small childs inside of everyone.
We all know it's there. Sometimes you have to nurture
them so I'm just wondering now, though thirteen one O
six five is our number, does your kid just hate
someone for no reason? Because right now it does feel
like I'm the only adult out there who just has
the not the hate of a child, but the lack
(24:23):
of love from a chin that is that? Because I
just thought kids liked everyone. Remy loves everyone. Yeah, it
doesn't matter who you are.
Speaker 3 (24:29):
She's like, I trust you, you're in Yeah, so that's nice.
Speaker 6 (24:33):
Let's go to Shannon here, despite me trying to drip
like awful.
Speaker 3 (24:37):
Things about you to her because I kind of want mind.
Speaker 4 (24:39):
Oh, you've been feeding her poison to throw.
Speaker 6 (24:41):
Around things like will is a cheap ass like I've
just mentioned that, but it's not really sinking in yet.
Shannon Boys, Hello, mate, You've got a niece who has
a dislike of someone.
Speaker 16 (24:56):
I do. I do. She's about six years old and
no age of her she ever liked me?
Speaker 9 (25:02):
So how young did it start?
Speaker 3 (25:03):
Shannon?
Speaker 16 (25:04):
From the get go?
Speaker 3 (25:06):
I think it's the bead.
Speaker 16 (25:07):
I've got a bed and I don't know if it's
but she wouldn't they say hello to me functions and
give me nothing?
Speaker 6 (25:16):
And have you tried to push through that, Shannon, because
I'm with your mate, I'm right there next to you.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
Will's daughter does not like me.
Speaker 6 (25:22):
So what have you done to try and win back
the love of the of your bribery?
Speaker 4 (25:27):
That So that's that's what I'm trying to replain here, Shannon,
is that you need to ease up.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
But what if I just ignore her? Nothing's going to happen, right,
I agree? Disagree?
Speaker 4 (25:41):
Actually actually like like I agree, Shannon had six years
Are you on speaking terms with your niece now?
Speaker 3 (25:48):
Shannon?
Speaker 7 (25:49):
No?
Speaker 4 (25:50):
So she's six years old and she's like, never said
what's what's the most she's said to you?
Speaker 1 (25:55):
Ah?
Speaker 3 (25:56):
Hello, that's it. That's all you get it?
Speaker 2 (26:00):
Hell?
Speaker 3 (26:00):
Can you see it often enough?
Speaker 16 (26:02):
Her brother's right?
Speaker 3 (26:04):
Have you asked her parents?
Speaker 16 (26:06):
Yeah, there's become a running joke in the family now.
Speaker 3 (26:09):
Yeah, it does get like that.
Speaker 4 (26:10):
It's definitely a running joke in my householding with my
familys col Shannon.
Speaker 3 (26:14):
It's not funny at all to me.
Speaker 4 (26:16):
I think he's hitting on something there, you know. I
do think it's a good message to heat. The harder
you push, the more she's going to run away. But
what does that actually look like? Practically?
Speaker 6 (26:23):
Like what I come over with the hot cross buns
and go no, it means not coming over.
Speaker 4 (26:27):
Don't come over, Maddie the way coming under, Maddie, Maddie, Maddie,
this is your daughter irrationally hates someone.
Speaker 10 (26:37):
Yes, he hates my brother.
Speaker 3 (26:39):
In law, and so is there Has there ever been
a reason that you can pin that to?
Speaker 10 (26:44):
And looks he scared her once, but from then on,
every time she sees him, she just screams, has a meltdown,
doesn't want to buy of him, just the whole work,
oh my lord.
Speaker 6 (26:55):
So and has he done anything to try and like
mend the bridge every time we go over here?
Speaker 10 (27:01):
Will I try and give her like a cardle or
I take her off my sister? But then she just
loses it?
Speaker 3 (27:06):
How old is she? Did you say?
Speaker 15 (27:08):
Maddie is ten months?
Speaker 3 (27:10):
Okay, super young.
Speaker 4 (27:12):
That's still that's when it does. I think that's when
it started with you as well. And then we learned
this the first time Max said I came into the studio.
She calls the studio the glassroom, and she said, wood,
he laughed at you in the glassroom. So ultimately she's
protecting me.
Speaker 6 (27:23):
So she just remembered one moment from our radio show
where obviously you were the butt of the drug and
since that day she has hated She's black. Marn't you forgiveness, mate?
Speaker 3 (27:34):
I think for you?
Speaker 4 (27:36):
Are you just thinking about that in reverse?
Speaker 3 (27:38):
Maybe you need to be doing great things for me
in front of.
Speaker 4 (27:41):
Her or yeah, yeah, I think that's actually it. Now
I hate that you're at it flipped that so I
need is where we're at all of a sudden.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
If I save your life, I just start with a
nice bottle of wine.
Speaker 4 (27:53):
Jamie's called on first, start by buying me a drink. Jamie.
Speaker 6 (28:00):
Are you another one who was hated by a child
for no reason?
Speaker 16 (28:04):
Yeah? So my cousin, she had two daughters, and every
time I would walk in the room, they just would
squill and yell and scream. I put it down to
the fact that I had dreadlock.
Speaker 3 (28:17):
That's interesting.
Speaker 16 (28:19):
The worst part was their father had dreadlocks. So maybe
it wasn't the dreadlock.
Speaker 3 (28:23):
I don't think it's the dreadlocks.
Speaker 13 (28:24):
Jamie.
Speaker 9 (28:25):
Have you managed to have you managed to push through?
Speaker 3 (28:28):
Have you have you done?
Speaker 16 (28:29):
They're older now they like me.
Speaker 3 (28:31):
Now, how did you do it? Jamie? Teach me?
Speaker 16 (28:33):
How did I do it? I just stayed away.
Speaker 3 (28:38):
It's gone. So you've got two options here.
Speaker 4 (28:40):
Would either you stay away or you buy me dinner
at least three nights a week.
Speaker 3 (28:46):
I think I prefer to stay away.
