Speaker 1 (00:00):
What's up? And welcome. This is the Rogue Recap, and
you are here with your host, Linda McLaughlin. She is pissed, off, outraged,
and has zero patients with what seems to be an
epidemic of entitlement and stupidity. Here we talk about all
the things the other shows just don't or won't touch.
(00:21):
Make sure to like and subscribe to her podcast so
you never miss an episode.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
Well, I've got two topics for you tonight, guys, and
welcome to the show. This is the Rogue Recap. I
am Lynda McLaughlin. In true fashion of this show, we're
going to talk about what I believe to be two
of the biggest stories of the day. If you're paying
attention to Illinois, the governor there Pritzker, the mayor of Chicago,
(00:48):
Brandon Johnson, you are seeing these paid protesters, these rabid
lunatics who, while they want to unmask Ice and Homeland
Security and federal agents, you know, are in pink and
black and blue masks with you know, some of them
have gas maks on, you know, and they're all covering
(01:10):
their faces because while they're so brave to where the
caffe is, they are not brave enough to let you
know that it's them wearing their caffe. So continue to
despise Antifa and wish we could just put them all
on a bus and send them, I don't know, somewhere
to a remote mountain where they have to forge for
their own food or something. I don't know. But you know,
(01:32):
there's there's so much talk that the community is upset,
the community is angry about what's happening on the ground there,
and you know, I just don't believe that. I really don't.
You know, we played a few weeks ago here on
the show some audio of some residents that were like,
(01:54):
you know, Pritzker and Brandon Johnson are standing on like
the water side and they're they're talking about how beautiful
the city is. And I'm like, first of all, you
can't take credit for, you know, the river, you can't
take credit for the bridge. You can't take credit for
an area that is you know, kept up and clean
(02:14):
because you've decided to make an appearance, or maybe it's
always that way because the residents there take care of it.
You know, you have to go to the South side
of Chicago. You have to talk to people that are
in the thick of where the drug cartels and the
incredibly illegal migration, and the drive by shootings, the broad
daylight shootings. You know, we got little kids asleep in
(02:37):
their bed getting shot. I mean, there's just there's a
lot going on. And I heard something the other day
and I've been repeating it because I believe it to
be true, which is these liberals, these Antifa people, these democrats,
they hate Trump more than they love America, more than
(02:57):
they love their constituents, more than they love free him.
They would do anything they could to stop President Trump.
And it does not matter what gets tramped in the way.
They don't care. They just don't care. And so I
was scrolling through as I do. My son calls it
the doom scroll, and I was looking at all of
(03:17):
the various news stories and I stumbled across this group
of black residents from Chicago. And it looks like it
probably was around Christmas time last year. And so this
is before any of the Trump stuff. But I know
that Trump was even talking then when he had first,
(03:38):
you know, won the election, that he was going to
come into the major cities and clean them up and
tackle crime and all the things. And even then they
were freaking out, and this woman so precisely responds to
the ridiculous allocation of taxpayer dollars to non legal people
(04:00):
that are living in the state at the behest and
the welcome of Johnson and Pritzker, and as a result,
are taking away funds from subsidized programs that go to
at risk communities servicing you know, a lot of the
black communities, and they're losing shelters and housing and so
(04:21):
on and so forth. So I'm going to set this
up a little bit, which is this woman is standing here,
she's in front of a group of I guess friends
and colleagues, and she's talking about hopes that she is
and she's not pulling any punches. And then on the
other side, we'll go into a little bit about where
that anger that you're hearing on this tape is actually
coming from.
Speaker 3 (04:42):
This morning, I heard Mayor Brandon Johnson say that the
sentiment and the black community is waning a lot. The
sentiment is not waning. We are not okay with you
taking our resources and giving them to people who don't
live here, stated before, you're preparing housing for them. One
(05:05):
of the reasons that the City of Chicago was able
to close fifty schools was because of the black light.
And the reason we had a black light was because
there is no affordable housing in this city. It is
because the city of Chicago shut down the voucher system
so that blacks who needed to get affordable housing could not,
(05:27):
so they had no choice but to flee to other states.
But now you've found money by the Life Right, we're
calling back.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
And then another.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
Thing you said was that the faith based leaders, oh, weren't.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
Helping to bring around the sentiment.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
We had to paid attention to faith based leaders since
doctor Marlin Luther King. And guess what, we're not listening
to them now. We understand that they are bought and
paid for. We understand that you control for nation that
are trying to speak about.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
So let me just say this.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
To you, we're not listening to them the same way
we're not listening to you. What you're doing is not okay.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
I mean, could she be more spot on? Chicago sheltered
over forty six thousand migrants since the summer of twenty
twenty two, and I'm sure that that number is conservative.
They've spent over five hundred million dollars on illegal immigration
and again, it's not being forced upon them. They welcome it.
(06:34):
And Brandon Johnson is extending the shelter stays and he
did that as recently as September last month, even though
black communities are screaming and saying, you are diverting resources
from things that help our community to help community of
people that are not here legally and do not pay
(06:56):
into the system and do nothing to benefit. How is
this a thing now? This woman is referencing initially with
the Chicago Schools where she talked about that Black flight
that goes back to twenty thirteen, and that was under
ram a manual, and there was a ton of ongoing
housing shortages in these black neighborhoods, and obviously, instead of
(07:22):
finding ways to get people into housing, they closed the
voucher system, not allowing people to apply and forcing them
to go to other cities and states where they could
get affordable housing and projects and housing developments, et cetera
for low income. And to her point, you know when
she said, we're not listening to faith leaders any more
(07:44):
than we're listening to you, that's because the faith leaders
are getting kickbacks and they're almost, if not worse than
the politicians or they're exactly the same as them. You know,
Al Sharpton is one of these guys that is just
such a grifter. He is like the King of Cringe
and he's everywhere and he's just full of it. He's
(08:04):
never saying anything that feels authentic. It's so contrived and ridiculous.
And I think, to myself, you are one of the
most deplorable people I have ever seen debate, whether it
be on your TV show, on your radio show, I've
seen him in live debate. He is so uneducated and
(08:25):
he just pulls stuff out of his ass that doesn't
even make sense. He accuses everyone who he, you know,
is fighting with, He accuses of racism. You're a racist. Okay, Well,
now we got that out of the way, just so
that he can sort of pivot the conversation away from
the question that's being asked of him. And it really
doesn't service anybody. Nobody gets anything out of that, you know. Anyways,
(08:47):
I love this woman. I don't know this woman. I
don't know who she is. She's got some weird username
on TikTok. It's like user number forty six five six
blah blah blah blah blah, but I loved how plainly
and how directly she was talking to her elected officials
and explaining, I don't know who you think you're talking about,
(09:07):
and I don't know who you think is behind you,
but it is not the black community. And if there
is a black community standing next to you, it's because
they've been bought and paid for. They have been bought
and paid for and whatever it is that you're doing
with those migrants and creating shelters and creating funds to
say that you have nothing left and you can't help
(09:29):
the people of your community, and that to suddenly find
half of you know, half a billion dollars, really, it's
just it's just wrong. And there's really not a lot
of there's really not a lot of room to butter
that up or make it something it's not. They're just
bad people. It's just real simple. So we're going to
(09:51):
pivot to the next topic of tonight, which is something
that has me really upset and I have no idea
why we're doing it. You may or may not have
heard that today our Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, has
agreed to host a new Katari Air Force facility in
Mountain Home Air Force base right here, and I know
(10:14):
the facility is going to be used to train Katari
pilots to fly F fifteen fighter jets. It's going to
accommodate the Qatari F fifteen fighter jets and their pilots,
and there's going to be joint training with US forces
so that we have enhanced combat readiness and cooperation. Now,
(10:36):
the Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth is excited about this.
He praised Guitar's role in the Gaza peace Deal and
is saying thank you so much for being such a
big part of what happened in Gaza. And this is historic.
So they're sitting there at this table, it's Pete Hegseeth
and his I guess, you know, sort of counterpart for Qatar,
and they're signing this agreement that that we're going to
(10:58):
have a Katari bass in Idaho. What I gotta tell
you this, I honestly had to see if this was
like a Babylon b thing, but it's not. Take a listen.
Speaker 4 (11:14):
We also value the close corporation between Doha and Washington
that led to the signing of the Gaza Peace Plan
on October eighth. This historic achievement underscore what can be
accomplished when our nations work together with courage and trust
amongst other partners such as Egypt and Turkey. We further
(11:38):
welcome today's signing of the Letter of Acceptance establishing a
Katari a Mere Air Force Facility and Mountain Home Air
Base in Idahom. This step strengthen interborabilities, enhance joint treadiness,
and advance our shared defense goals, Mister Secretary, Together we
will continue to deepen the strategic partnership in pursuit of
(12:02):
lasting peace and shared security. Thank you very much.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
As thank you sign and trade? How about that?
Speaker 5 (12:10):
Yeah, exchange.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
And this is them signing what we're hearing.
Speaker 5 (12:26):
Thanks, oh god, thanks very much, thank you. Appreciate you,
thank you, thank you.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
Just to recap there, this is the Katari Minister of
Defense Al Fanny. He's calling this peace deal in Gaza
a historic achievement. I would agree with that. I will
reserve my comments for what I believe to be an
unfortunate reality and where I think this will ultimately end up.
(12:59):
But for all, right now, fine, Thanny is like, this
is great. We you know the effectiveness of the US
Katari collaboration and the partnerships between the United States and Doha,
and you know, and then President Trump jumps in and
he's like, thank you Katar, Egypt and Turkey for also
being a part of the ceasefire agreement with Israel and Hamas. Yeah, okay, fine,
(13:21):
but we're not talking about Israel and Hamas here, We're
talking about a Katari air base in Idaho. How the
hell did a Katari air base in Idaho become a
part of the peace deal between Hamas and Israel? Is
this what we're doing? We're giving up a piece I
mean Idaho guys. You know, like have you ever eat
(13:44):
mashed potatoes from there? This is like literally down home America,
and now we're going to have a bunch of Kataris
living there with an air force base. I am, I
don't know. This just feels wrong to me. And you know,
my good friend Brigie Gabriel, she's been on this show,
and this is a woman who truly understands the religion
(14:06):
of Islam, and she wrote today on x she was like,
this is a huge mistake. These people are not our friends.
She said, very simply. I don't trust Qatar, I don't
trust Hamas. I don't trust Iran, and I don't trust
the Muslim brotherhood. They all work towards the same angle.
(14:28):
I agree with her. If you need to work with
people because you have a collective greater good result that
you're looking for, wonderful. I think that's awesome. But is
there a reason why we need to give them American
soil for a foreign air base. I don't know. This
just feels wrong to me. I already think that we've
(14:50):
got sleeper cells all over this country. I already think
that we are at great risk. I've lived through nine
to eleven and I would choose to not do it again.
And I don't know. It's funny, you know, it's like
never again is right now. Whether it's the way people
have this rabid anti Semitism, or the way that they're
(15:10):
falling for, you know, Democrat bullshit, or the way that
they're like, yeah, we can all live in peace, we
really can't. America is not a melting pot. America is
a place where a lot of people do their own
thing right next to each other and occasionally cross paths,
but for the most part, they're siloed in their communities.
(15:30):
They do what they want to do and when they
want to mix those communities. They do, but they're not.
It's not an everyday thing. So this idea that you're
going to bring in kataris, I don't know. I just
think it's a mistake. That's my personal opinion. And I'm
really concerned about what we're giving in return for a
(15:50):
quote unquote peace deal with Hamas, which I have to
tell you from the bottom of my heart, I don't
even think is possible. I mean, these guys are screaming
from the river to the sea every single day, and
it has nothing to do with how hard our country
worked to achieve this piece deal. We still don't have
the hostages back, dead or alive. Shouldn't we have them back?
(16:13):
What they did on October seventh is so beyond the pale,
the idea that they used media and social media and
live streaming to let the world know just how much
they could do, how much hate they have, how much
venom they have, and how little regard they have for
(16:34):
human life. It's it's the same old adage like when
someone tells you who they are, believe them, and in
this case, they showed you, and we still have people
denying shit. It's pretty upsetting. I'm very against this Katari
air base in Idaho. I don't know why we can't
have a Katari air base in Qatar, and then if
(16:57):
we wanted to send you know, United It's pilots there
to train with them on f fifteen's have at it.
But to actually bring in the planes and the staffing
from Qatar into Idaho, it's a massive, massive mistake. I
don't know, guys, it doesn't feel right to me. We
(17:18):
have Columbus Day on Monday. I'm so grateful to President
Trump that it is Columbus Day again and that we're
actually proud of Italian heritage that brought us to this
great nation with the Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Maria.
I still remember that from fourth grade. What is it
in fourteen ninety two Columbus sail the Ocean Blue? I
(17:39):
don't know. In any event, Monday will be a day
to remember and not a day to hate quote unquote
European colonizers. And I for sure will be one of
those people celebrating. I hope you will too, and I
will see you next week. Please follow us at Linda
Mick at Roague Recap. Be safe out there, we'll see
(18:00):
next week, hmm.
