Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello and welcome. It's our number one, our one of
our radio program. We take a look back at the
riveting Sunday night game, which was not that riveting. The
Bills never trailed in the game. As the Packers lose
their fourth consecutive game, What does Aaron Rodgers do now
(00:20):
for the pack attack? Why is Green Bay so mediocre?
They lost Davante Adams, is it more than just the
loss of Davante Adams this season? And how aggressive will
the Bills be The trade deadline is coming up on Tuesday, Tuesday, Tuesday.
We'll talk about all of that and more right now
in our number one Aaron Rodgers and the Packers losing
(00:44):
four games in a row this season on your bingo card.
Congratulations you've won. Welcome in the beginning of another week
of the Ben Mallers Show. As we are in the
air everywhere, cheek to cheek, as we feel the crunch
(01:04):
coast to coast, port the motor and beyond on the
mast and spectacularly powerful microphones of fs are emanating live
from the mash as we do them Monstermash, It's the
graveyard Smash hanging out here at the you know what,
Tirac dot com studios. We are broadcasting live from the
(01:27):
Tirac dot com Steers tirac dot com. We'll help you
get there in unmatched selection, fast free shipping, free road
hazard protection, and over ten thousand recommended installers tirerac dot com.
The way tire buying should beats our big Halloween program spoocky.
(01:50):
Now there's a rumor in radio. Since we are doing broadcasting,
not narrowcast like a podcast kind of narrowcast. Radio's broadcasting.
We're just throwing the signal out to the evans. It
is possible that some goblins and ghosts will call up
and be part of the show. It may happen. It
may happen. You know, it's Halloween. This would be a
(02:11):
night to do it. Anyway, I leave this hour coming
from the NFL. It'll be an NFL heavy show in
a made for PRAM time matchup, made for TV. A disappointing,
disappointing Green Bay Packers. They've lost three games in a row.
Coming in the road show, traveling into Buffalo. Here we
(02:32):
go Buffalo, a date with Josh Allen the game marking
the first time in the long career of Aaron Rodgers
that the gambling market had him as a double digit
underdog eleven to eleven and a half points about the
time the game kicked off there. Now, I don't know
if you saw this game or not. Maybe you thought, oh,
(02:52):
it's a MISMATCHU, I'm not gonna watch it. You might
have had overload from a full day of football. But
we watched or we got the game on. We watched
it there so you would not have to. And whether
or not a factor. We're getting into November here this
coming week, it'll be November, and so there's the last
day of October. It's usually what happens to the when
(03:13):
when October and then against to November. I'm told that
happens every year. And so then the weather will start
getting a little worse, but mild mild condition. It was
temperature in the fifties, partly cloudy there at kickoffs. Whether
or not a factor. Josh Allen, though, did not have
an amazing game. You might be hearing, oh he was
south God when neck oh neck, it was are He's fine.
(03:35):
Had a couple of touchdown passes and the Bills they
never trailed in this game. They jumped out to a
fourteen nothing League Green Bay playing uphill and Buffalo playing downhill,
and the Bills win twenty seven seventeen. Yes, the Packers
covered the line so that big favorite Buffalo unable to
(03:55):
finish it off, and so Green Bay won the bat.
The Bills win the game Buffalo six and one, and
the Green Bay Packers, Where have you gone? Vince Lombardi?
More importantly, where have you gone? Davante Adams? The Green
Bay Packers, with Aaron Rodgers still at quarterback, have now
lost four consecutive games. They dropped to three and five.
(04:20):
You are what your record says you are, and they blow.
The Green Bay Packers suck. They lost Night of the Giants, Jets, Commanders,
and Bills. Now you say the Buffalo loss is a
legitimate loss. Those other losses, though, are embarrassing, embarrassing. So
let us discuss the question very simple. What does Aaron
(04:41):
Rodgers do now to turn around the Packers? What does
he do? All? Right? So I've got dragon, powder puff
and sesame Street, and we will tie all of these
random things together, and we are going to make some
cheese curds, which is one of the great I mean,
cheese curds, one of the great foods, right, I don't
(05:03):
know anyone that doesn't enjoy a cheese curd. I don't,
all right, So Aaron Rodgers has tried several motivational tactics.
Now we've been taking notes here because we're losers and
we have no life, and so we pay attention to
this stuff. So he's trying to be mister positive, mister hey,
you know, everything's great. He's been negative guy. He's mixed
in that calling teammates out this past week, saying that
(05:26):
some should be bench, which is also indirectly taking a
pot shot at La Fleur, coach Lafleur, and the Packer
coaching staff in general. There when you're saying that the
wrong guys are playing, they're making mistakes, and no one's
calling him out, Well, you're calling out Matt Lafleur, you're
calling out the players, but you're also indirectly calling out
(05:48):
the head coach. And none of us has worked. By
the way, not a single thing that Aaron Rodgers has
done has has produced because you actually have to have
decent performs on the field. You can talk talk talk
tuc I love talk, I can talk radio. I love
talk talk talk doctor doctor talk. Oh I do is
talk but you gotta produce, you gotta you gotta stop
(06:11):
barking and start biting, is what you gotta do. There's
a lot of bark, there's not a lot of bite.
And so the Packers, Aaron Rodgers is driving the bus.
It's a struggle bus right now, right down Suck Avenue,
and that's the Green Bay Packers. That's the back the
misery tor continues. I wouldn't be shocked if they lose
to the Lions. I would not be shocked if they
(06:34):
lose to the Lions next week in week nine? Would you?
If you lose to the Commanders and you lose to
the Jets, you can lose to the Lions. It can happen.
It's possible. So as far as what happens now, what
does Aaron Rodgers do now? For the Packers? Obviously, back
to the drawing board, and we anticipate with bated breath,
(06:55):
his next paid audio appearance where Rogers will pop up.
I believe it's Tuesday with his BF, his paid bff,
Pat McAfee gets spent a lot of money to do
that on YouTube, and they'll have some cute slogan. He'll
have a slogan or a catchphrase, and he'll talk about
the deeper meaning it's more than just putball, it's deeper meat.
(07:19):
And we hope, we hope he shows up with the
dragon the dragon breath yet again, spitting fire like a
fire breathing dragon there. But clearly the words are not
the problem. If all it took was Aaron Rodgers to
get on some platform and rant and rave and say
everything's gonna be okay or everything's not okay, and that's
all it took, then obviously the Packers would not be
(07:41):
sitting here at three and five pretty much midway through
the season. Right, So you don't have a fifty percent
marker because there's an odd number of games. So you
can either say it's fifty percent now or you can
say it's fifty percent next week. But that's the deal,
(08:02):
right because it's, uh, we're at week eight week. If
you look at the schedule of this being week eight
and there's seventeen games, so you can do the math
on that, that's forty seven percent through my computer, like
brain tells me, unless I looked that up forty seven
percent through all right? Now, Page two here, Why is
(08:22):
green bayed so medioker? Is it as simple as Davante
Adams leaving the room, and that was it, that Davante
Adams was the one that held the key to open
up the packraphs. I say no, I say it's bigger
than that. It is under performance across the board. You
(08:43):
got big name and little game. And I'm talking about
the defense, and I also talking about special teams, not
just the offer. The offense has not been great, clearly,
but the defense was supposed to be, according to all
the genius pundits, was supposed to be amazing. They told
me this, They lied to me, lied to my face.
And the other argument as well. Let's be fair, the
(09:05):
Packers defense hasn't even given up thirty points in a game.
That is true, That is accurate. They have not. The
most they've given up this year in a game was
twenty seven. They've done that. They did that the Bills
and the Jets. They've done that several times. So they've
given up twenty seven, no more than that. So that
you said, well, that should be enough to win with
a good office. But it seems like the Packers are
(09:26):
in a lot of these games, but they like the
defense is just bad enough to screw it up, right,
just bad enough, and so it becomes like powder puff
football is what it becomes for the Packers ineptitude and clumsiness.
And there's this myth, and I've fought this for many
years behind these microphones, that that if you lose a
(09:47):
lot of close games, you're not that bad, and that's
not true. Bad teams lose close games all the time.
All the time, they lose close games, and people have
had to been asked to pick up the slacker. There's
there's a lot of sawn by a miss, golden opportunities,
wasted opportunities to get the MEGAMEGA Mega millions by stepping
(10:10):
in and performing, and those chances have been for the
most part wasted this year. And so Green Bay shows up.
They have a predictable, methodical offensive approach and you're like, okay,
this is not particularly great. But it's it's not just
the office. The idea that if they just had Davante
Adams that everything would be fine and dandy and all that.
(10:34):
I reject reject that. If you look at the numbers
and the overall performance of the Green Bay Phinker's office,
they're twenty first in the NFL, which is not good.
That's there's a thirty two team league. It's not good.
But you look at the opportunities out defensively to rise
on up, and that has not not particularly been been great,
(10:59):
is what I'm trying to say. I'm trying to make
my point here. Alright. Anyway, so welcome to Losersville for
airin Rogers and everyone else on there. But hey, if
you want a moral victory, we don't believe in more victories.
But the Green Bay Packers did win the stat sheet.
They've lost the game to Buffalo, but they won the
stat sheet as they had more first downs and more
(11:20):
yards and a bunch more rushing yards. Ran for two
hundred and eight yards two hund eight yards against the
Buffalo Bills defense. And so that's where we are, right whoopedie, damn?
Do you won the statueet? Congratulations, Go get a cake
and some balloons and have a party, all right, last
word here? So what more? Over to the Buffalo side,
the Bills win twenty seven to seventeen. So everything's great there,
(11:43):
and now there's a lot of chatter. The trade deadline
is on Tuesday, Tuesday, Tuesday. That's it. And it's the
game of musical chairs. The music stops on Tuesday afternoon.
If you do not complete the transaction by then, you
are out of luck. See you later, see you next year.
So you got to get it done by Tuesday afternoon.
(12:05):
And the question being asked by many is how aggressive
the Bills should be and how aggressive the Bills will
be at the trade deadline. And the answer is rather obvious.
Here you move all of your chips in the middle
of the table. Now I'm old, so I remember when
the Bills used to get to the Super Bowl every
year and they didn't win. And I look at this
Buffalo team and say, they don't get to a super
(12:26):
Bowl in the next couple of years. They've totally fed
this thing up. It's they should be like the Rams
were last year where they went all in. That's the
model f them picks. It's gone from a thirty two
team league down to a three team league. Midway through.
You've got the Bills, the Chiefs in the AFC, on
an island. In the NFC, you've got the Eagles, and
(12:49):
that's it. I'm not sold on the Giants or the Vikings,
or the Cowboys or the Seahawks. So if you're Buffalo,
why not. This is a sess same street situation, right,
sunny days, Sunny days are sweeping the clouds away, and
you're on your way to Arizona for the super Bowl.
(13:11):
The air is sweet, and how do you get the
Sesame Street? I think they're playing the super Bowl on
Sesame Street now, as would I would trade for a
running back, I would also apparently the defensive front needs
some help. There's the Bills were run over by the package.
It's not a perfect situation. It's not because we also
saw Josh Allen throw a couple of picks. And if
you've seen the postseason, which I assume you have over
(13:32):
the years, you know the two things that destroy you
are giving up a lot of rushing yards and interceptions.
Generally those two things kill you and the Buffalo Bills.
The numbers don't really matter. Bills had the number one
defense in football last year and Kansas City went up
and down and all around against that Bills defense. So
the stats don't necessarily matters. How you perform in that moment.
(13:54):
And Josh Allen throwing interceptions, that's the atomic elbow in
terms of trying to get a victory. If you will,
all right, it is the Ben Maller show up. You
have a great Halloween. Maybe we'll hear from some ghosts
of the show passed. I'd love to hear from Jimmy
Ray from Tampa Bay. Maybe he'll call in. Genie from
Medford might check in with us. You never know, maybe
beer drinking Brian. You know, it's Halloween. This is a
(14:16):
chance for the ghosts and the goblins to come back
and be part of the show. And maybe they will.
You don't know. All right, eight seven, seven ninety nine
on Fox and the number also on Twitter at Ben Maller.
That's at Ben Maller if you want to be part
of the program, and you better watch that. I've been
to the zoo a few times. I've been in the
zoo in a while. But you go to zoo and
maybe you'll see a zebra. But have you ever seen
(14:38):
a confused zebra? Have you ever heard a confused zee?
But you know what that sounds like. We will we
will provide to you evidence of a confused zebra and
we'll do that. We'll get to that and we will
do it next. Be sure to catch live editions of
the Ben Maller Show weekdays at two am Eastern eleven
(14:59):

Pay attention, Maller Militia. The Ben Maller Show needs your help.

He's at Ben Maller and you can tweet at and
follow me. Eddie Garcia, your humble sidekick, the voice of Reason,
(15:19):
your announcer Guy. I'm at Eddie on Fox aust Natural
is good, Yeah, excellent movie and other stuff I don't know.
And now I from the tirerack dot Com Fox Sports
Radio Studios. It's Ben Maller, a confused zebro. We'll get
to that. We started ranting here about the Packers and
(15:40):
dub Bills as that was the Sunday night game, so exciting,
unless it wasn't the World Series on break, they'll be
back at it on Halloween. The Fighting Phills did win
Game one and had a lifeless performance in game two,
so the Phillies are cheating. I know, I know. Yeah,
(16:03):
just don't have any broadcasters talk about that on the
on the broadcast. You just have to kind of push
that aside there when you when you put on those blinders,
you know, you gotta. It is fascinating it is, so
I don't want to get carried away. Here's football. We're
talking football, but it is blows my mind. The legal
bat yesterday, Yeah, yeah, yeah, the low information fan who
(16:27):
just like, oh, it's been five years, let it go. Yeah, okay,
greatest cheating scandal of history of North American sport. Let
it go. They didn't get punished. The fact that Altuve
and Bregman and these guys are out there play it's
a joke that got the racist yearly Gariel. I mean,
it's embarrassing. It's embarrassing for your sport. Maybe, but you
(16:49):
don't you're so up to you don't even get it.
It's ridiculous. Anyway, we have some postgame reaction that we
did not play, so I think we'll play that here.
The Packer losing, and that's where the story is. Matt
lef Flair, the head coach there in Green Bay. Let's
find out are the Packers pleased or displeased that they
(17:09):
just lost the game. Let's see here, let's find out
our guys are disappointed. Okay, all right, but you know,
we've got to find a way to write this thing.
And we've got an NC North opponent next week, and
you know, I know that they're going to give us
everything they got they always have, and it's going to
be a heck of a test. And we've really got
to be more disciplined, be more consistent in order to
(17:32):
try to get on the right side of one of
these things. Yeah, boy, when you think of a tough game,
the Detroit Lions, that right there, right, we've lost what
a five in a all and one in one in six? Man?
Is that gonna be tough? WHOA? How do you beat
the Lions? Well? Of course the Packers at this point
they can't. They can't beat their own shadow. What a mess.
(17:52):
Ow here's more from Matt le Fleur, and he points
out that there's got to be a little more, a
little more fight, a little more bite, and if you will.
I was super proud of our ability to come off
of football. I thought everybody's blocking hard, tight ends, running backs,
receivers are the runners were running hard. I thought Aaron
did a fantastic job getting us in and our of
(18:14):
good looks. We have to be able to mix it
up a little bit, all right. Aaron Rodgers always a
great sound bite. People react to Rodgers. Half the people
like him half the people hate him. Here's Aaron Rodgers,
a man who loves his family unless he does not,
and talking about the approach of the Packers and how
(18:34):
he likes to feel the heat. I don't feel he
added pressure. I'd like more on me. I enjoy the pressure,
enjoy the opportunities to build the ball down the field,
and hopefully we can get some opportunities next week. But
he's the guys OUTI them. Yeah, now, Aaron Rodgers, he's
into a lot of interesting things. The Ayahuasca te who
knows what else, his lady friend Blue or whatever her
(18:57):
name is. Anyway, all right, so here is here's Aaron Rodgers,
and he's talking about something that does not exist. But
the Packers, if they get this, then this will really help.
I think we're getting our all our guys back for
a week and then somebody's out, so nobody feels sorry
for us. We got to find a way to give
one win. I feel like we can just give one
and the whole momentum changes. Packers again. I feel like
(19:26):
whatever reason, we didn't have the confidence for a few
weeks and weren't playing with a lot of energy, weren't
amped up before the game, so I like the way
that we felt before the game. Maybe a snight football
and maybe he was being counted out. Maybe it was
this environment. But I like that's encouraging. But the play
in the first half wasn't very encouraging. All right, So
(19:46):
they felt good and all it takes is one win
and the moment what in the whole lost thing? The
Packers have all of the momentum right now, they've lost
four games in row. Why would they want to give
up that negative momentum? I mean, come on, now, what
are you doing? Green Bay? Keep you've got the momentum?
God Aaron Rodgers, he's a moron. He thinks there's a
thing like he thinks he thinks there's momentum. Does he
(20:09):
realize there's no such thing as much? I mean, after all,
green Bay they had won three games around all the
momentum and they lost to the Giants, Jets and the Commanders.
And now the well, why would they do that? They
had the moment Dame, they are the momentum. It was
in their back pocket. They had the momentum, they gave
(20:29):
it one. Why would they do makes no sense? All right, Uh,
let's go to the phones. Andre is in the Commonwealth
and he's ranting and raving about something. We'll find out
what right now, Hello, Andre, what's going on? Ben? Listen?
What I want to chime in with is at the
Buffalo Bills, they're most certainly gonna make a move, okay
(20:49):
before the deadline, based on the fact of what the
San Francisco forty nine ers did bringing in McCaffrey right
first week was a little shaky. Then what happens in
week two? Well, right, rushes for a touchdown, throws for
a touchdown, catches a touchdown, all right on fire? You know,
forty two Fantasy points. You know, Thank goodness, I had
Stefan Digs on my team, Ben, you know, so I'm
(21:11):
doing good. Also, Singletary played well for me this week.
But the fact of the matter is, this is the
Buffalo Bills year. As I see it, it's their super
Bowl to lose. Okay. They had the Kansas City Chiefs
dead to rights last year and they gave that game away,
went down to Kansas City, got to win. So that
if if things continue as they will, that AFC Championship
game is gonna be in Buffalo. And they're clicking on
(21:32):
all cylinders. So there's no reason why they can't make
this move bringing the extra piece. As you said, Packers,
you're able to run on them in the second half.
Bond Miller is a great pickup, but he's older. This
is the year for Buffalo. The Bills mocked the other
out there, having no mercy on all those folding tables. Okay,
make the move, Okay, get it done. Even though I'm partial,
(21:55):
I'm born in the great state of New Jersey, so
I'm loving what the Eagles are doing. Ben, I want
to give a little bit. You said Minnesota. I think
Minnesota is for real. I think the NFC is no
cake walk for the Eagles. Minnesota. Stop with that, please,
Yeah it is. I don't even think Philadelphia is all
that great either, by the way, but the Philadelphia is
at the top. Everyone else's kind of there's not. I'm
(22:16):
not impressed with the damn though. Congratulations. Okay. I've seen
I've seen Dak Prescott run out the clock in a
playoff game, not know the clock in a playoff game
and run it out. I've seen that. I've witnessed that
with mine. Maybe you didn't see that game, maybe you
maybe you missed that. I saw it possibly by to
miss it. Bills, mafia, get it done. All those folding
(22:37):
tables cannot be broken for no reason. This is your year.
Make a move. All right, Well, okay, all right, all right,
thank you, Atta go away, thank you? All right. Why
don't you guys mention the six and two New York Giants?
They lost the Seahawks, I mean embarrassing Malibu, Rubin writes,
(23:01):
and he says, uh, some up the Mallard monologue, go
go the fortunes of the Pack without Randall Cobb. Ferd
Dog says something's wrong with Aaron Rodgers. DeVante Adams departure
alone does not explain Aaron stropoff from last season, that
that which blew of earth must have cast some kind
of spell on him. He points up. Riek in Minnesota says,
(23:27):
is just a so so monologue. I love when the
Pack get ripped, but you kind of talked out of
both sides. How did I talk out about sides of
my Matthew Schmuck? I did not a bad teams lose
close games, He says, are you giving my packers any credit?
They are winning close games? Why are they? Why are
they not? I don't I don't believe in the Green Bay.
(23:48):
I don't believe in the Minnesota Vikers or the Green
Bay Packers for that man. Not impressed, not not impressed
with the meanis so to Vikings? And maybe I should
be mean? They're nature win? Or is it against the
Dolphins without Tua? I mean, they're beating up on tomato kids,
and you're supposed to do that. So congratulations. They've played
(24:10):
one good team and lost by seventeen points. So the
Packers aren't a good team. You beat them, Lions suck,
Saints blow. They somehow shut out the Raiders more and
that later the Bears they're no good. Dolphins with their
backup quarterback and the Cardinals with mini me at quarterbacks
alligator arms Murray. That's those are the wins for the Vikings.
Great Now, I will tell you if somehow the in
(24:33):
a couple of weeks or week ten, the Vikings go
into Buffalo and win that game, I will change my opinion.
I will, I will, I will, I will do a
one eighty on my position on the bike. But if
they beat the Commanders coming up in week nine, h know,
be sure to catch live editions of The Ben Maller

When you have good audio, play the good audio. So
we take you to that Seahawk Giants game. We're gonna
more on this coming up next hour in the game itself,
but one of the great bloopers of our time happened
in this game. So the game was won by Seattle.
(25:40):
Congratulations Geno Smith. That made a deal with the devil
and it's working out right now as Seattle has won
four or five and their overall record is five and
three on the year, and so they win by two
touchdowns over the Giants. It doesn't seem that this model
is sustainable for the Seahawks, but right now it's working
so good for them. And at one point during the game,
(26:04):
there was a penalty and the official decided that he
wanted to turn on the microphone and alert the crowd
of the penalty, and what he said was one of
the more surprising things ever said at an NFL game.
The confused zebra. Let's go to the audio tape after
(26:25):
the play. Was all the sideline interference, the coaches in
the restricted area after it will be first and team. Unbelievable.
The Seattle knocked out of the playoffs and they're interfering
(26:46):
with an NFL game? Was that the great Jerome Boger?
How do you know your officials at he's your own
baking with the cap? Can we play that again again?
This is a Seahawk Giants game. And the referee gets
on the microphone there and announces that a major league
baseball team has now committed a penalty on an NFL sideline.
(27:06):
I've never seen this before. Unbelievable seen there at littlefield play,
all of them sideline interference, the coaches, the Seattle was
in the restricted area. Can you even name the managers? Scott?
I think Scott's service only because they were in the playoffs.
(27:26):
What was he doing on the sidelines? No, No, the
Mariners were. They were doing the circle dance. The horror,
they were doing the Jewish wedding dance there on the sidelines,
and that's why they got a breath. How awesome is that? Man?
Oh man? I mean I was. I was a soccer
referee for a little bit when I was younger, and
I was a terrible official. I was like a really
bad affit. But I don't think I ever announced the
(27:47):
team that wasn't actually playing in the game. I don't
think I ever I ever did that. That's that is tremendous.
You think he like drove by because the Mariners in
the Seahawks stadium like side by side. You think maybe
he just like walked by or drove by the Mariners ballpark.
He's like, wait a minute, and he just happened. It
just happened to be in his head, right, He just
happened to be in his head and he's thinking about
it and all that. So anyway, all right, it is
