Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello and welcome. It's our Nber four, hour four of
the radio program, a post mortem on the downfall of
the Boston Pro bouncy ball team as the Celtics eliminated
with Gusto blown off the court by Miami. Does Jason

(00:21):
Tatum get a pass? Does he get a Hall pass?
For the Celtics losing Game seven and he hurt his ankle?
Is that enough to give him a pass? We'll talk
about that. Also, did coach Joe Missoula lose his job
because the Celtics lost to the Miami Heat. And what

(00:43):
are the odds that Boston will unload Jalen Brown or
Jason Tatum this offseason. We'll talk about that as well.
All of it coming your way right now here.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
It is.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Have a wonderful day today, have a glorious Tuesday. Here
it is our number four. Hey, thanks for listening to

Speaker 3 (01:27):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
It was all set up until it wasn't welcome. In
the beginning of another hour of the Benmahlor Show, we
are in the air everywhere. Head on as we say,
don't be a statistic, stay alert and stay safe, stay

(01:52):
away from bad takes coast to coast, border, the border
and beyond on the mast and thunderously powerful microphones of
FSRE emmnating live from the float as we are floating
in the air everywhere. We are broadcasting live from the
ti rak dot com studios. Tyrac dot com will help

(02:14):
you get there. An unmatched selection, fast, free shipping, free
road hazard protection and over ten thousand recommended installers. Tyre
rac dot com the way tire buying. Shoot me and
our lead this hour coming from a pro bouncy ball
play the heads, mom man, don't bear the lead, all right,

(02:36):
We're not going to bury the lead. Oh what a
story it is, and a story it will continue to
be our lead this hour, coming from the site of
the crime, the Boston Celtics all set up. Pro bouncy
Ball will circle back to the Eastern Conference Finals. We
talked about it earlier in our number one, but it's

(02:56):
worthy of a it's not rebroadcast. We're gonna talk about
some different things here, but a look from a different
perspective at game seven. So this was a non competitive matchup.
The Miami Heat did not suck at a time they
were supposed to suck. Instead, that was the Celtics that

(03:18):
were on the wrong end. The Seas were no match
for the guys from South Beach. The Heat led by
as many as twenty three points, and now they have
picked the joker in the deck as Nikola Jokic and
the Nuggets will be the matchup in the finals starting
on Thursday, So I gotta get through a couple more

(03:38):
days than the NBA Finals will be here now. Meanwhile,
as we said, don't bear the lead, my man, the
story here is outstanding, outstanding flogging a dead leprechaun if
you will. As Jason Tatum and Jalen Brown, the two stars,
the two headed monster for Boston, failed splendidly. Now, Jason

(04:02):
Tatum in particular had a real stinker in this game.
A tweaked his ankle early on, and that has led
to a great debate whether or not Jason Tatum's injury
clears him of any wrongdoing in Game seven, So let
us discuss the question, does Jason Tatum get a whole

(04:25):
pass after tweaking his ankle and the Celtics go on
to lose Game seven? So I am shaking my head. No,
I've got Ronald McDonald, tanactin and sticker shock, and we
will combine all of these things together and we will
make a nice long vacation, which is what the Celtics

(04:48):
have while the NBA Finals are going on. They can
enjoy their nice long vacation. So, first of all, we
do not give out hall passes, mulligan's, whatever you want
to call it. Jason Tatum had another golden opportunity. Now,
he's had some moments where he stepped up, this was
not one of them. The stage was all decorated, right

(05:10):
from right to left. It was all decorated. Jason Tatum
could have written another chapter in his story book. He
wrote a chapter, but it's the kind of a chapter
you don't want to read because he gives you a heartburn.
And listen to Tatum here as he talked about the ankle,
the ankle, the ankle, the ankle. He got hurt on

(05:32):
the first play the Celtics had the ball, and here's
Tatum explaining the situation.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
It was just frustrating that I was kind of like
a shell of myself stuff to move, you know. It
was just frustrating, especially on the first play.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
He's frustrating. He seems very mellow. He always seems mellow,
doesn't seem too worked up about anything, Jason Tatum. But
I said, listen, this is a chance for him. He
had the pen and he could written his name into
the story book. The NBA is filled with these type
of mall means where you overcome some supposed great adversity

(06:12):
and they make documentaries about it. They celebrated it's the
so and so game. It's the Kobe food poisoning game.
Or was it the flu game? Or was it the
Jordan food poisoning game, or was it the Jordan flu game?
And you can go on and on, and this was
going to be the Jason Tatum ankle game. Jason Tatum
comes out and in a parallel universe, Tatum dinged up,

(06:36):
tossed some dirt on it, tapes it up, and he
goes Hercules Big and Burley star player for the Celtics.
He puts the whole team on his back for the
magic carpet ride on a biblical scale. Tatum goes out.
He has forty five points, twenty one rebounds, fifteen assists,
a triple double, and Boston punches their ticket to the
NBA Finals. Did any of that happen, I'm asking for

(07:01):
a friend. Did any of that happen?

Speaker 5 (07:02):
Ah?

Speaker 1 (07:03):
No, not even a cheap counterfeit version. There's a phrase
that goes back to the sixteen hundreds that would apply
to Jason Tatum. He was as quiet as a church mouse.
Tatum had fourteen points, fourteen points, eleven rebounds, four assists

(07:24):
on five of thirteen shooting, and for much of the
early part of the game he was merely a decoy.
He was on decoy duty, and he made sure not
to intervene with the baptism of Jimmy Butler in the heat.
Going back to the NBA Finals, the only noise he made,
The only noise he made was when he was doing

(07:45):
the coseplay as Ronald McDonald's buddy. Tatum playing the role
of Grimace as TNT showed him multiple times, and he
had he wasn't wearing a purple outfit, but he did
have the grimace on his face. So this was an opportunity.
Rather than overcome the injury and have a significant performance,

(08:07):
have your moment, not the greatest moment because not the
NBA Finals, but to get to the finals, to win
an Eastern Conference Game seven, Tatum succumbed to the ankle
issue and he was unsatisfactory, withering in the agony. I'm
not only defeat, but of the ankle. And to think
that the guy that was the hero this was gonna

(08:29):
be the Jason Tatum ankle game, and instead it turns
out to be the Caleb Martin game. Who undrafted the
guy went to a couple of colleges, Nevada and NC State.
He bounced around the sewer of the NBA, the G
League with the Sioux Fall Sky Force, something called the

(08:49):
Greensboro Swarm of the g League. That guy was better
in the moment than big badass Jatum. He was. Caleb
Martin was everything Jason Tatum was supposed to be. In
Game seven, he was all right. Now turning the page

(09:10):
will let him play. Joe Missoula lose his job as
the coach of the Celtics. We anticipate there'll be a
cooling off period, There'll be some meetings in the next
couple of days, and the Celtics will say we want
Joe back, we trust Joe Mizzoula and all that. But
deep down, when commer heads prevail, I say, Joe Mozula's gone.

(09:36):
He's gonna need some tough act int enacting because he
is suffering as a coach from Jocketch. On the sidelines.
There is upheaval and the timeouts, the debauchery with the
timeouts in the playoffs against the seventy six ers, the
no show against Atlanta in a couple of those games

(09:56):
that were winnable games there that they lost even though
they won the series, and so there's a lot of misfiring,
that's right. It was a masculating. It was a masculating
to watch Joe Mizula get completely zonked on the sidelines,
But not surprising. Was it surprising? You should have been
hanging out with our guy Paul who called up last

(10:18):
hour from his sports bar, hanging out there having a
cold Bruski in Charlotte, North Carolina. But he was utterly inept.
And coaches don't make that big a deal but they
can't hurt you. And it certainly appeared on this side
of the microphone like Joel Mizula was a net negative,
not a net positive. And in that regard, he doesn't
have a resume, he doesn't have a reputation. That's the

(10:40):
kind of coach that gets fired. You gotta have a
fall guy. You gotta have a fall guy, and Joel
Mizoula is as good as anyone else to be the
fall guy. Simply overmatched, not ready. This is not a
on the job training situation. This crew. You got to

(11:00):
have a fall guy. Yeah, think about this like a
probationary period. You didn't make it off probation. That's it.
That's just the way it is. It would be a
symbolic move. Coaching is not imperative in the NBAS. We
just pointed out you have a bad apple and that

(11:20):
can undermine a lot. And it certainly appeared Joe Missoula
didn't know what the hell he was doing, and he
got very very testy. In fact, he said something after
the game. We don't have the sound bite, unfortunately, but
Missoula was asked on paraphrasing. He was asked about whether
the Celtics took too many three point shots. They were
not going in. The three point shot was not going in,

(11:43):
and that is an understatement. They were missing from here
there and everywhere. You get a miss, you get a miss,
you get to miss. The Celtics started a zero for
twelve from three point range and it didn't get much
better after that, And so Missoula was asked about whether
or not they should should have gone to something else,
like maybe shoot two point shots, and he said no.

(12:05):
He was very dismissive, like how dare you? And all right,
final fought what are the odds that Boston unloads one
of the big two Jalen Brown or Jason Tatum. So Tatum,
I see, there's no scenario other than some kind of
scandal that Jason Tatum has moved. Barring some kind of

(12:28):
untort scandal, Tatum's going to be there. He's the lynchpin
for the franchise, the pride and joy of this era
of Celtics basketball. They will not give up his talents.
So then it becomes a question of whether or not
Jalen Brown is moved. I am going to set the
odds on Jalen Brown being relocated from the Celtics at

(12:51):
minus three hundred. I believe there's a seventy five percent
chance that Jalen Brown played his last game as a
Celtic in the game that was played on Monday night
on the holiday, And there's a couple of reasons for that.
The Celtics are going to have to make a couple
of changes because they have not been able to get

(13:12):
over the hump. Now, you can get rid of Al
Horford again, they've already done that. You could do that,
you could get rid of some secondary players. But the
easier move when you put all of the different scenarios
in play, is to get rid of Jalen Brown. He's
got a big price tag. There's some major sticker shock.
He was all NBA's second team. That means that this summer,

(13:36):
which begins now for the Celtics, that Jalen Brown is
eligible for a five year deal for three hundred million dollars.
You combine that with Tatum, who's also got a three
hundred million dollar deal he's going to get and that's
six hundred million. Now the owners of the Celtics can
afford it, but the players play a similar style of

(13:58):
game Tatum and Jalen Brown, so it's a bit redundant
to have those two players as both being Max players,
and because there's so much alike and to give both
a Supermax would be risky business. Plus, Jalen Brown has
openly belly ached about not liking Boston, not enjoying living there,

(14:20):
not liking playing for the Celtics. He's bitched about that.
So the smart money says, if the guy's not really
happy there, why would you give him three hundred million.
Now he take the money. Doesn't mean he's gonna be happy,
but he take the money, So I think he's more
likely he ends up on the auctioning block. He's an
unrestricted free agent in twenty twenty four, so we can
crank up the old trade machine and you're gonna hear

(14:43):
all kinds of chatter about Jalen Brown going to the
Trailblazers for Dame Lillard, or Brown to Washington for Bradley Beal.
How about to the Suns for some combination of DeAndre
Ayton and something else, Jalen Brown to Memphis. How about
a Jah Morant for Jalen Brown trade. Would the Celtics

(15:04):
consider that with all the baggage that John Morant has
he's a better player than Jalen Brown, but would you
consider making that move. The other thing to keep in
mind here when you talk about the Celtics is all
of the dirty laundry, and I'm looking forward to that.
We had a caller earlier, we talked about it, and
everyone's going to be pointing fingers at everyone else. It

(15:26):
ain't my fault, it's so and so's fault. If it
wasn't for so and so, it wasn't for Joe Missoula,
we would have been fine, would have been fine. All
the things that would not have seen the light of
day will now see the light of day and they
will see the light of day because of losing. And
no one wants culpability, nobody wants responsibilities, so they'll start
pointing the finger over here. You'll get off the record

(15:50):
comments and I'm here for all that. Get me the
buttered popcorn and I'm good to go. It is the
Banitt Malor Show. If you'd like to comment on any
of this, you can join us here at eight seven
seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven nine nine

Ben Mallard. That's at Ben Mallory. He can be part

(16:14):
of the program as the finals will begin on Thursday night.
We'll take our first look at that the Nuggets and
the Heat in that matchup. Also, one of the bigger
names in the NFL is considering a rather drastic move
to save just a couple of thousand dollars. What is
that all about. We'll get to it and we will

(16:36):
do it next.

Speaker 6 (16:39):

We are growing the Mala Militia one new member at

a time. And how live from the tire rack dot
Com Fox Sports Radio Studios. It's Ben Mallor.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
A Celtic theme Mallard monologue. Here is the Celtics eliminated
by the heat in the pro Bouncy Ball playoffs. We
had a game show at the end of last hour
and I was able to be Eddie at that and
No Stradinis writes and says the level of cheating just
displayed by Eddie makes the astro scandal look like nothing.

Speaker 5 (18:08):
She I agree with you, that's that's actually not what
he says.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
Beverson, Well, no he met you. I've met no Sterdinas
and that he absolutely meant you. Well, he it was
a it was a typo, is what it was. I'm
absolutely correct on that now. Ferg Dog writes in and says,
congratulations Ben on the win rookie mistake by your partner, Eddie.
I pointed out that is true because Eddie cheated twice,

(18:34):
not only on Mallard's amount of money. At the end
of last hour, did Eddie say the word Glavin. You're
not allowed to say that.

Speaker 5 (18:41):
That's a violation of the rule after my partner had
said it.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
It doesn't matter. He was he was carpet bombing idiot.
He was saying a bunch of names out and he
didn't know who the answer was. He just said a
bunch of names and you directed him towards the answer.
That's cheating. You cheated.

Speaker 5 (18:59):
This from a guy who had a partner who wasn't good.
So he decided just going to replace my partner.

Speaker 3 (19:06):
Rules.

Speaker 1 (19:10):
You're stuck with the part don't get that's not true.
The rules rules and karen Ka when I used to
work with.

Speaker 5 (19:20):
Fifty years ago.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
It doesn't matter. But Kay, we decided the president contestant
is bad. That's the rule, and you're trying to change
the rules. If the contestants bad.

Speaker 5 (19:29):
You're embarrassing yourself.

Speaker 1 (19:30):
He went to the bullpen and then the Alexander one.
That's a new low. His name is Alexander. It's not
alex it's Alexander. Embarrassing. You try to circumvent the integrity
of the game. And yet again that's why you're known
as gas. Like Garcia, you do and then you did not.
You pretend like he didn't do it, and the listeners,

(19:52):
he knows this is ridiculous. Keep just keep Dog says,
truly an embarrassing display by Eddie. That's from Fergie, and
so thank you for that. For a dog, appreciate that.
And again everyone heard it. There's no need for us.

Speaker 5 (20:07):
To agree you're a loser.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
So let's go to the phones and Eenie Meanie, miney moll.
Let's say hello to Chad in Dallas. Hello, Chad welcome.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
Oh my god, hello Ben.

Speaker 1 (20:24):
Here he is. He's a he's hanging with us. He's
a hanging Chad. Hello, Chad welcome.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
You have the hang in, Chad, Ben, I've never spoken
to a talk radio show in my life.

Speaker 1 (20:35):
Oh my god, this is your You're popping your cherry
right now. This is amazing. We're hearing history. Chad is
breaking he's breaking uncharted territory.

Speaker 2 (20:47):
Yeah, I even have a cherry pepsi on the table.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
Nothing wrong with that back in my day when I
drank a lot of soda, I was a cherry coke
cherry pepsy.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
Gain. That's okay, bad you always come the show, to
the show. I absolutely love your show. They put me
back on night shift and so now I only get
to catch you on Sunday nights going into Monday. But
I love for your malar monologue. I can tell you
that there's a twenty two debate program to deal with

(21:17):
the vets that commit suicide every day in the country
and guys that suffer from post traumatic stress disorder. They
just laugh their butts off at your show because of
your hot cakes.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
Well, yeah, that's very kind in all seriousness, not Chad,
I know, we bust all.

Speaker 2 (21:38):
But the laughter just serves as the coping mechanism because
it releases endorphins in the brain.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
And well that's good, no, Chad. I met a guy, actually,
one of the guys that came to the Minnesota Meet
and greet Minneapolis last week, and he's a VET and
he's been going through some hard times and he's a
big fan of the show. And he came out and he's,
you know, going through some rehab and some PTSD stuff.
He was in the service for a couple of years,
and so I love stuff like that, Chad, I do
love it.

Speaker 2 (22:02):
But there's a lot of people in industry that I
am exposed to during the course of a week, and
I just refer everybody to your show, and I've just
increased a lot of following up.

Speaker 1 (22:14):
God bless you. Cho see that, and you you also
agree Eddie's a cheater, right, Chad?

Speaker 2 (22:21):
I love all of your guys on your show.

Speaker 1 (22:24):
That's code disagrees, not Eddie. He agrees. He just wants
to be polite. Chad trying to be polite here agrees
with me.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
So Ben this thing about all the talking heads from
Syracuse and everybody that this week is going to punch
their ticket, saying that Tatum needs an excuse for why
he couldn't deliver because of the sprained ankle. I do recall,
and I don't know which series it was, but you
could Wikipedia fact check this because it was a big deal.

(22:55):
I just don't remember the series, but Jimmy Butler, Jimmy Bucket,
so for the spain that affected him for a couple
of games, and yet he still was able to come
out of the Eastern Conference. So that they can't use
that as an excuse.

Speaker 1 (23:09):
That isn't Yeah, yeah, that was against Milwaukee. I believe
I heard that.

Speaker 2 (23:13):
So that was the eighth seed knocking off the one feed. Yeah,
so he had the weather that storm. So I wanted
to just mention that to all the nut bags out there,
A reasonable argument to me.

Speaker 1 (23:26):
No, I love Jimmy Butler. The NBA would be a
better product if they had more guys like Jimmy Butler.
And he didn't play particularly great in a lot of
these games against the against Boston.

Speaker 2 (23:36):
He's a lunch pale guy with a blue collar week
that they can met, somebody that even casual basketball fans
can rally around exactly.

Speaker 1 (23:43):
You can tell it matters to him, and a lot
of some of these guys, you know, they don't know
that matters. I gotta let you go, but thank you, Chad.
I'm glad you get to hear the show at least
one day a week, and thank you for the kind words.
I will be sending an aircheck to my boss and
I'm sure they will give me much much bigger money. Yes,
roberta Y. Once our bosses hear this, the money will

(24:04):
be raining in. We'll make it rain. I'll be getting
a Jalen Brown Max coun track. Unless that does not happen.
Unless that does not happen, anyway, we'll press on. We
will have coming up in a little bit, cite the bite.
We've got some more phone calls ahead. Also an NFL
start planning on doing something that's something I would do

(24:25):
to save money. In fact, something I have started to
do to save money. I'll explain what that's all about.
But let's get you caught up on everything going on
in the old over night and we bring in the
glass toe gas light Garcia.

Speaker 5 (24:40):
All right, thanks end. The NBA Playoffs Game seven Eastern
Conference Finals did not live up to expectations. It was
not that competitive and the road seam, the heat going
to Boston beat the Celtics.

Speaker 7 (24:52):
Took goo.

Speaker 1 (24:52):
There's a bunch of guys in Miami that loved every
second of that game.

Speaker 5 (24:55):
Yeah, there's a few, but we're talking about on the whole.
Oh okay, that would be you, me and a lot
of other people. We just wanted to see a good game.
It didn't happen. He beat the Celtics in Boston one
o three to eighty four. Boston was nine for forty
two from three point range. The eighty four points scored
the fewest points scored in a game by the Celtics
all season long. And that brings us to our progressive

(25:18):
player of the day.

Speaker 1 (25:19):
Ten seconds remain.

Speaker 8 (25:22):
That's the Eastern Cup French Championship belongs to the Heats.

Speaker 1 (25:28):
One O three, eighty four to the.

Speaker 8 (25:31):
Final for the seventh time in the thirty five years
of Miami Heat basketball. You're a Miami Heat will battle
for the NBA's title.

Speaker 1 (25:44):
Man ten for here we.

Speaker 5 (25:48):
Come seven nine of the Ticket Heat Radio Network with
the final call scripted?

Speaker 1 (25:52):
Did he have that written down anything?

Speaker 5 (25:54):
Yeah? They all write a little something down these days.

Speaker 1 (25:56):
Not a lot of spot wild to me. The Heat
started my lifetime and they've been to seven now seven
NBA finals. They will have gone.

Speaker 5 (26:04):
Yeah, seven more than the Clippers. How about that?

Speaker 1 (26:08):
Okay, cheater? And we'd also like to alert all our
friends in Houston listening, Christian Houston. The Rockets remember they
missed twenty seven straight three point shots in Game seven
a few years ago. That the Celtics, even though they
were terrible, they did not miss twenty seven consecutive three
point shots. So the Rockets still have that mark. Congratulations, Houston,

(26:30):
Well it was a danger.

Speaker 5 (26:31):
The Heat hit fourteen three pointers in the win.

Speaker 1 (26:34):
Jimmy Seltiers missed their first twelve three point shots.

Speaker 5 (26:37):
Yeah, they were nine of forty two from mining the
three point line. Jimmy Boutler twenty eight points, Kyle Martin
twenty six points in from Miami. And with that win,
teams that take a three zero series lead the NBA
Playoffs now one hundred and fifty one and oh Heat
first team in first playing team to make it to
the finals and the second eighth seed to make it.
As you heard in the final call. There, they will

(26:58):
take on the Denver Nuggets Game one of the NBA Finals,
starting Thursday in the Mile Highest City.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
I enjoyed Eddie the commentary by Charles Barkley, who went
back to calling them the dumb ass Celtics. I thought
that was enjoying. I don't know if you saw the
TNT post game.

Speaker 5 (27:12):
But I did not. I went to sleep with about
five minutes left in the game. Yeah, took a nap,
took a little nap. Gotta do it man and that
Progressive player of the day, of course, brought to you
by Progressive. They're making things even easier. They'll help you
bundle your home and car enterance together so you can
save on both. Learn more at Progressive dot com or
call one eight hundred Progressive. NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs Game
six Western Conference Finals equally not interesting. The Golden Knights

(27:36):
crushed the Stars in Dallas six nothing, Vegas jumping out
to a three nothing leading the first period. It was
pretty much over at that point. William Carlson a pair
of goals, and goalie Aiden Hill stopped all twenty three
shots he saw. So Vegas wins that series four to
two and advances to the Stanley Cup Final for the
second time in franchise history. They will host the Florida
Panthers coming up on Saturday. I misspoke earlier, justin quick.

Speaker 1 (27:57):
We'll get another ring if the Las Vegas go the
Knights win here, Yeah, I think you will.

Speaker 5 (28:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (28:03):
Is he only active roster.

Speaker 5 (28:05):
He's the backup goalie at the moment, Yes he is.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
Is he like the third stringers?

Speaker 5 (28:09):
No, he's currently the backup. The number one goalie got hurt,
so the second string guy's now the one, and he's
now the two. Okay, So I misspoke, Curler, I said
that the Florida Panthers were a seventh seed. They're actually
the eighth seeds. So both the eight seeds out of
South Florida playing for the title, the Heat in the
NBA and the Panthers in the NHL.

Speaker 1 (28:27):
How about these the goal I'll save it for later.
I got my fun fact? Did he go ahead?

Speaker 4 (28:31):
All right?

Speaker 5 (28:31):
Let's get to baseball. Weird day in baseball, with a
lot of bad teams beating good teams, like the A's
snapping their eleven games skid beating the Braves seven to two.
You had the Cubs shutting out the top team in baseball.
The Raids won nothing. Marcus Strowman complete Game one, he
had shutout for Chicago. The Orioles were blanked by the
Guardians five nothing. Logan Allen seven shoutout innings in the
win for Cleveland. He did have the Dodgers beating the

(28:53):
National six to one to take over the top record
of the National League, reclaiming it from Atlanta LA now
thirty three and twenty two on the season. Ring and
Drews blank the Tigers five to nothing. The Texas Al
West leaders now have the second best record in baseball
at thirty four nineteen as they move past the Orioles
twins over the Astros seven to five, and ten. You
had the Diamondbacks beating the Rockies seven to five, and
the Yankees get a couple of Aaron Judge homers number

(29:15):
sixteen and seventeen for him in a ten to four
win over the Mariners. What is your fun?

Speaker 1 (29:19):
Five? In fact, Eddy, So I saw somebody sent me this.
This has been bouncing around social media. So the Golden
Knights have been around for six years. They have been
in the conference finals four times and now the Cup
finals twice. And this somebody sent me this. It says Vancouver.
The Canucks have been around for fifty three years. They

(29:40):
have made the conference finals three times and they made
made the finals three times, so six years. What's going
on in Vegas? Are they cheating? Are they cheating there?

Speaker 5 (29:50):
Well, all they got helped out with the the special
rules they had for the expansion.

Speaker 1 (29:54):
Drive pot of gold at the end of the ring.

Speaker 5 (29:56):
Well they did pay for it though, I'll give them
credit for that. They they spent a ton of moment
money to be an expansion franchise, so they they sweetened
it up for them a little bit too. Who you
remember me, you and I Back in the day, if
you were an expansion franchise at any.

Speaker 1 (30:09):
Sports, you were terrible. For ten years, you were terrible.

Speaker 5 (30:13):
Yeah. So, but they've they've changed that up a bit.
If you paid for it, if you pay, if you
pay for it, they'll give you a little help there.
And we saw the Kraken this year make the playoffs
in their.

Speaker 1 (30:21):
Secondary So okay, I get flashback when Miami the in basketball,
when the Miami Heat were an expansion team. I believe
it came in the same season with the Charlotte Hornets
if I remember correctly, and you talk about different projections,
different paths for sure, the Hornets and in the Miami Heat, Wild, wild,

(30:41):
and crazy. It is the ban At Mallard show. As

Year on the Ben Malor Show. Hello Dixter, good morning,
Hello Yesterday. Oh my god, oh Eddie, We've got breaking news.

Speaker 3 (31:19):
Brandon.

Speaker 1 (31:20):
You might have to tweet this out our man. Dick
and Dayton went bargain shopping. Holy crap on a cracker, Batman.
What were you looking for? Dick and day What did
Dick buy?

Speaker 7 (31:32):
Well, as with my music, as you know, I play
a lot.

Speaker 1 (31:36):
I bought about four CD four CDs. That's wild Horn Blue.
Why did you not go with the cassette tape? What
did you hear?

Speaker 7 (31:46):
I don't have that anymore? I got it. I'm lucky.

Speaker 2 (31:49):
I have the car.

Speaker 7 (31:51):
I played a lot of the old you know, the bluegrass,
the folk and how much?

Speaker 1 (31:57):
How much are CDs these days? I have not will.

Speaker 7 (32:00):
They're cheap, They're about They're like I'm trying to think
a dollar apiece.

Speaker 1 (32:05):
Oh my god, what a deal. That's pretty good. Yeah, sure,
all right. With all the radio you listen to, though,
how do you have time to listen to CDs? You're
a big fan of radio.

Speaker 7 (32:15):
Well, I go, actually, I go. Uh, there's a friend
of mine. It works at good Will current her daughter, Well,
real nice. She is in the music she was to
always tell me about. She lived out in California, all
the good sports teams. And I told her that I
have a good friend. And she says, oh my gosh,
I remember Ben and the Crew. She said, how about that?

Speaker 1 (32:38):
Oh it's great. It's nice to be remembered. Now, I
got to run this story by it. Because you're a
frugal man and I'm a frugal man. We have that
in common. There's a bond that it won't be denied. Okay, So, okay,
you know who this Michael Parsons guy. Has you ever
heard that name Michael Parsons?

Speaker 7 (32:53):
No, I don't.

Speaker 1 (32:54):
Okay, he's he's a football player. He's a football player
for the dast Cowboys. Yeah. So he he gets kind
of upset because he, you know, he was complaining about
how expensive it is to get your haircut. So he's
teasing the fact that he might just shave his head
and go bald so he could save a couple thousand

(33:14):
dollars a year on haircuts. That is that a smart
mover of bad mood mood? Would you make that move.

Speaker 7 (33:22):
That place here in Ohio? I don't know if they're
in If they're in California. But I always have good luck.
I think a haircut Great Clips is a good place
to go.

Speaker 1 (33:33):
That's the spot. So you your advice to Michael Parsons
you've never heard of, is to go to what is
it called again clips? Great clips? Okay, the great clips there,
and see I actually have something to coming now. My
hair has kind of been going away on its own,
so I think I think the higher power is trying
to get me to lose save some money. So when
I just start, I just I start trimming my hair

(33:54):
back myself. I do it myself, so I save the money.

Speaker 5 (33:57):
There.

Speaker 7 (33:58):
If I get this style, they on need five or
six dollars?

Speaker 1 (34:02):
Is that right? What's your style? What's your go to style?
What's the dickens?

Speaker 7 (34:05):
What's the dick Well, it's getting kind of long. Did
this shoes a blow dryer and spray it and bring
it all forward?

Speaker 1 (34:14):
Oh, just put the what's that Roberto? What's that called
that haircut? We put all the hair forward like that?

Speaker 7 (34:19):
Well they use they use moose or something on it.

Speaker 1 (34:22):
Yeah, okay, all right, okay, all right, thank you, bye bye,
alright you too, bye bye? All right, there you go. Yeah,
Michael Parson, the guy's only twenty four. He's got millions
of dollars. He's so cheap. I love that Dick had
no idea who Michael Parsons is. Who has he not
been one of the top defensive players for multiple years
now in the NFL. I love that.

Speaker 3 (34:43):
Blow dry.

Speaker 1 (34:46):
Well. You know your name, Dick and Dayton. You don't
have to impress anybody, you know, you get to do
whatever you want with the hair. The guy's a legend.
Legends don't need to worry about what they look like.
Come on, Dick and Dayton. The guy's a bleeping legend.
That guy. I love that he's going to Goodwill and
buying CDs. I think we tell about the Oh, I

(35:07):
don't have to consent anymore. If he could still find them,
he would have them, though, right some who do you
think it was in Dick and Dayton's life that said, Hey, Dick,
you got to get rid of the CDs. It's not
it's not really working there. You gotta you gotta go
somewhere else there all right, it is the Ben Malors Show.
As we continue on, right and we are moments away
