Speaker 1 (00:00):

ever heard in my entire life. We will share that
with you momentarily. We are broadcasting live from the ti
rac dot com studios. Tire rack dot com will help

rack dot com the way tire buying should be. What

(00:23):
did you think about that edition of Queen of Hearts there, Eddie?

Speaker 2 (00:27):
It was certainly spicy. Yeah, it was spicy.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
I thought it was very well done, credibly well done.
I don't know how we got onto this, but off
the air we were talking about bad dating stories, Eddie. Yeah,
from back in the day. Do you have any just
disastrous dating stories to share?

Speaker 2 (00:47):
There was one in particular that I took the scroll
to the movies that was my go to date, which is,
in hindsight, not a great idea, because you know, you're
supposed to go out on a date and talk to
your d e and find out about him and go
to the movie. You're supposed to sit there and shut
up and watch a movie. So anyway, so we were
at the movie theater and uh, we're getting ready to

(01:09):
go in, and I asked her, would you like to,
you know, go to the snack bar? Would you like
to get a snack? And she said no. I was
like okay, so we go take our seats, and then
when we sit down, she's like, hey, would you mind
going and getting me some popcorn? And I was like no,
because she was clearly like trying to see what she

(01:32):
could get, what kind of hoop she was getting me
to jump through. Yeah, and uh. And then she was like, uh,
when we were in line, She's like, oh, would you
mind if we like went back to my car and
put my purse in my cars What? I was like,
we're in line, we're in line for the for the movie.
I'm like, yeah, no, I'm not gonna yeah, we're not

(01:52):
gonna do that.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
She's just testing you.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Huh. Yeah. He was giving me all these little old
tests to see what kind of and I was just like, okay,
this this is over. So he was watching the movie
and afterwards I was like, okay, I have a nice
and nice.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Life, just the one and done type thing. There. Yeah,
I got you.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
And then I also picked a great date movie, The
Green Mile.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Oh there it is stop it, I know.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
It was a good movie, but I mean that's not
exactly the movie. We want to take a date too.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
It's like, very good movie, but ye Hanks not agreed time.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Yeah yeah, crying on the first date.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
I think after the dude gets zapped in the electric chair,
you really are ready to go home and get lucky.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Well, Coop, I knew that wasn't that wasn't gonna happen anyway,
So I was like, you know, I was in the
electric chair basically.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Coop, you have any from back in the day, No,
horrible nothing.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
No, I never really dated.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
I you know, I had a couple of girlfriends in
high school, and then the one right after high school
I was with for eight years and until she screwed
me over, and then the single for like a year
and a half, two years, and then I met my wife.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Wow, man, interesting you, Lorena. Any bad dating stories from
way back when?

Speaker 5 (03:15):
Too many horror stories, to be honest with you, The
farther I deep, the like, the further I think, the
worst they get.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (03:22):
Yeah, but there's this one guy I went on a
I guess it would maybe it was a tinder or
bumble date. I'm not positive. I don't do online dating
anymore after this. Oh oh, he seemed really nice. He
took me okay. Also, don't let people pick you up
on these dates. Okay, please rite yoursel.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
Oh Jesus, is this about to get scary?

Speaker 5 (03:44):
I always ask if they're a murderer before they pick
me up, okay, and they always say no.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Anyway, I get in his car, Well, you're still alive,
so I guess there, are you a murderer? I am
actually okay, this isn't gonna work out. That gonna happen.

Speaker 5 (04:00):
So we get in this guy's car and he immediately
starts telling jokes like he thinks he is the funniest
man ever. Like no, like line after line of joke like.

Speaker 4 (04:08):
Jay Leno style is boom boom, and.

Speaker 5 (04:09):
I'm just like, okay, whatever, get your socks off. Anyways,
we get to this restaurant. He orders soup that have
these giants like shrimp in them with the full heads
on them.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
And it's really hot.

Speaker 5 (04:21):
Right He's like, oh, it's so hot, I can't eat it.
I should cool down my shrimp. And he takes his
shrimp out of the bowl of soup and puts it
onto the side of the spoon, runs it along the
bowl and then starts playing, diving in with.

Speaker 6 (04:31):
His y.

Speaker 5 (04:36):
Into the soup, and then he'd rip their heads off.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
And go I killed it.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Wow, did you say, excuse me, I'm going to the
bathroom then walk out.

Speaker 5 (04:47):
I sat there and drank my sangria, and he then
shamed me for ordering a sangria. He's like, I don't drink.
I'm like, God, please don't make me not drink right now? Yeah,
and I couldn't leave, Like I didn't think about ordering
an uber or a lift or anything. But I didn't
bring my own car. So I sat through the whole thing.
And then at the end he told me that he
goes to love parties all over California and he would

(05:09):
love if I would love to join sometime.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Love Lorena. What's a love party?

Speaker 5 (05:14):
What is a love party? You know where lots of
people go and show love to each other.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
Wow?

Speaker 5 (05:19):
Yes, I never went in case everyone was wondering I
did not join.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Wouldn't it be funny if you went there expecting the weirdest,
weirdest outcome and it was as normal as could be?

Speaker 6 (05:32):
You know what?

Speaker 7 (05:33):
You know?

Speaker 3 (05:33):
This guy did get it just like a like a
like a sixties seventies theme.

Speaker 5 (05:37):
Yeah right, this guy did get points, though. He gave
me one of my nicknames that lasted a long time. Yeah,
really yeah, because my hands are really soft, and when
he touched my hands, he's like, ooh, you're like kitty soft.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
Pause kitty.

Speaker 8 (05:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (05:52):
It was my Instagram handle for years, at least three years.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
This is that that nickname fits with the playing with
the shrimp on the edge of the bowl.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
Yeah, it does. I just love that you ran with it.
The psychotic guy had that to say, And you're like,
you know what, I kind of do have kitty soft pads?
I do you just let it happen. That's funny.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
No, I don't.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
I was just talking to them off the air, Eddie.
I could tell you stories for days, unfortunately, these bad
dating stories. But one I'll tell you a different one
from what I was telling those guys. So it was
in Indianapolis. I was living there for a little bit
at the time, and I go out with the skirl

(06:40):
and the date's going fine, and then out of nowhere,
she was talking about she just made a comment that
she could never work in a certain industry because women
make less than men, and she couldn't allow herself to
do that. Or she made a statement that all women
make less than men in all occupations something like that,

(07:04):
and I was like, well, that's not true. I work
in radio and I work with women and they make
the same amount that I do. And she took that
some other way I don't know. And all of a sudden,
she just ghosted me at the table. We're sitting at
the same table, We're still eating. She just looked at

(07:25):
the TV. I'm not kidding, for like ten minutes straight. Yeah,
she just started looking away from me for ten minutes,
and I'm just like, what the hell is happening right now?

Speaker 2 (07:37):
Was she like raging inside? Do you think is trying
to hold it back?

Speaker 1 (07:40):
Eddie? Raging inside? And then all of a sudden we
get the check and we're walking out, and she was like, so,
how was it? And I thought she was talking about
the date. I was like, oh, well, I'm in. It
started out pretty good and then it just got weird.
I guess, I don't know, and she goes, I was

(08:03):
asking about your food, Yeah, what.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
I was talking about? What we're talking about.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
I was like, oh, that was great. The food was fine,
and we're walking out and that was the thing. For
some reason, I was at the library, don't ask me why,
and I hadn't been in town for very long. So
she picked me up where I was at and we
drove to the restaurant together. So we're walking out from
the library. Yes, don't ask me, Coop, I have no

(08:36):
idea how this was the scenario. We're walking out to
her car, just like, do you live here? Well, I
was brand new. I didn't know how to go anywhere.
This is a long time ago. I don't even know
if I had GPS at the time. So she just
picked me up. Whatever. We're walking out to her car,
and she was like, you know, it was real egotistical
of you to think I was talking about the date

(09:00):
when I was talking about your meal or something like that.
I literally I just stopped and walked the other way.
I was like, I'll walk to the library. I'm not
getting in a car with this psycho. This is done.
I'm done with this. I'm not getting beaten up for
something I didn't do wrong. You know, if I screw
something up, go ahead and beat me up. But if

(09:21):
I didn't screw something up, you have no right to
beat me up. So I was like, it's over, and
she still hit me up. After that. She texted me
and she was like, you know, if you were just
gonna leave, I would have appreciated if you were gonna
tell me. I was like, this girl needs help.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
Man.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
That that was a wild one right there. But there
are many of those, many of those. I don't know
how he got onto that, Eddie. I want to talk
to Mike Gundy here real fast, the coach man. You
go from bad baiting, bad dating stories to really stupid comments.

(10:00):
So this is during Big twelve media days. Okay, and
his star running back Ali Gordon was arrested for a
dui and Ali Gordon's not going to be suspended for
any games, no suspension whatsoever. So Mike Gundy, the head coach,
he was asked a question about this, like, you're not
going to suspend him at all? What's the situation here, Eddie.

(10:23):
Listen to his clunky answer. This is unbelievable.

Speaker 4 (10:27):
Check it out.

Speaker 9 (10:28):
When I looked at it, I thought, Okay, I'm gonna
be real honest with myself first and then make the
best decision for what I think is good for Alie,
our university, and our team. And then I start thinking
about being a parent. I have a twenty eight, I
have a twenty three and a nineteen, And first I thought, okay,

(10:49):
so I looked it up on my phone. What would
be the legal limit like in Oklahoma's point eight and
Olie was point one. So I looked at it and
it was based on body weight. Not to get into
the legal side of it, but I thought, really, two
or three beers or four I'm not justifying with all

(11:10):
he did. I'm telling you what decision I made. Well,
I thought, I've probably done that a thousand times in
my life.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
I can't get over that audio, Eddie, because think about
what just happened right there. A college football head coach
admitted that he has driven many times while drinking three
or four beers. He said he's done it a thousand times. Right,
it's probably a figure of speech, but he's done it

(11:37):
plenty of times. Why would you ever say that as
a college football head coach? If SEC media days, if
Kirby Smart says that, like, oh, three or four beers,
I've driven on that thousands of times.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
Well, maybe more approperly for Kirby, you could say, oh,
I've driven over the eighty miles an hour plenty of
times because he's got all those guys get get right
busted for speeding, driving crazy.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
Sure, I hear you, But to name your coach of
choice right if it's uh, Marcus Freeman at Notre Dame,
it's whoever you want to say. If they just got
in on TV and had a microphone and said, oh,
three or four beers, I've driven many times, probably a
thousand times. Like the dumb comment on top of that,

(12:23):
why would you ever say that when you're trying to
explain why a player who drove drunk wasn't suspended. That's
got to be one of the dumbest statements I've ever
heard in my life. And Mike Gundy said that with
a straight face. That was unreal.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
It was pretty bad. And he said at the top
he was doing what was best for Alie was one
of the things he said. Really, so you're teaching your
player that because you're really good, you can do whatever
you want and not get punished. And then he talked
about being a parent and I'm like, so if your

(13:04):
kid got a duy, you'd just be like, that's fine.
I've had four beers before. You know of a couple
hours span. No big deal. I'd say you're pretty terrible parents.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
Yeah, very well said. It's a great point. That's it, right,
that's the perfect way to frame it, like it doesn't
begin to make any sense, no sense whatsoever. Look, man,
just do the grown up thing. Suspend Alli Gordon for
at least one game, at the very least one game

(13:34):
you play. We looked it up before. What was it
South Dakota State. You play the jack Rabbits in week one,
that's your first game. The kid drove drunk. You're right, Eddie,
you got to teach young men lessons, right. If you
screw up like that, it's it's a terrible precedent to
frame it that way, no suspension, no punishment, and then

(13:56):
say I've done that thousand times. You know you were
just on the lucky that's the message. You were just unlucky.
So hey, roll the dice again and maybe you won't
get pulled over. No, how about don't drive drunk? How
about that? Like that's insane to me, But that's what
Mike Gundy said. It's always a bad sign, Eddie when
there is a statement that follows the statement, and the

(14:21):
statement was my intended point today at Big twelve Media Days,
was that we are all guilty of making bad decisions.
It was not a reference to something specific. Think about this.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
That follow up was stupid too.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
I mean, what is the administration thinking right now? You
know what I mean? What are the powers that be
at Oklahoma State thinking right now about Ali Gordon not
being suspended? And the way Mike Gundhy mishandled this situation.
He had to know these questions are coming and that

(14:59):
was answer. That's that's the way he framed everything. That's
one of the worst jobs ever in that situation. I
don't know of another head coach that could mishandle it
as badly as Mike Gundhy just did. That's the best
example of what not to do. That was wild man.
That still blows my mind that we had a coach

(15:20):
admit he's driven maybe a thousand times after drinking three
or four beers. That's something I didn't think we'd be
talking about this morning, Eddie, But here we are.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
Man.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
Terrible job by Mike Gundy. All right, your comments more
than welcome. Eight seven to seven ninety nine on Fox
is your phone number. We're here for you. Malard Militia
you want to check in, we will get right to
you right around the corner. There's some audio that is awesome,
and some other audio that's awesome, and maybe something that

(15:53):
you haven't heard before. We'll get to both of those
stories right around the corner. He's Eddie Garcia. I'm Brian know.

Quick, knowledgeable and funny, opinionated.

Speaker 2 (16:28):
You don't interrupting our promo.

Speaker 7 (16:30):
Yeah, you wasn't talking about you. You took those clips
totally out of context.

Speaker 10 (16:34):
Oh yeah, Well after this promo, I'm gonna take you
out and beat you.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
Let me put this into context. Shut up.

dot com Fox Sports Radio studios. It's Brian No, thank you, Eddie.

Speaker 1 (17:12):
You know Panterra is you know could be classified as
angry music at times? Right? Fair enough? Sure, pretty good segue?
I feel like to angry Bill? Is it not angry music?
Angry band? Angry Bill? I think it makes sense, Angry Bill?
What's going on? Bud?

Speaker 8 (17:33):
Good morning, gentlemen, how are you doing good? I talked
to Cooper and he doesn't want me talking about your
cats or your music, so I can't talk about either
of those subjects.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
They're forbidden.

Speaker 8 (17:47):
I wanted to keep it very nice and not because
he thought I was upset about the cats and the music.
But I'll keep it, you know, keep it nice and
being nice about it and all that stuff. But when
your cat cleans himself and then your girlfriend kisses the
cat in the mouth, and then you come home and
she kisses you on the mouth, how disgusting is that?

Speaker 6 (18:09):
Oh my god, Put those.

Speaker 8 (18:12):
Damn cats in a friar and make Chinese food out
of them.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
I can't do it. I love these cats, Angry Bill.
It's terrible advice. They're fantastic. He violated the rules right there, Coop,
only on the cats. Okay, you got run. You ain't
got ran like that.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
We got Dave.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
He's in upstate New York. Dave, you're on Fox Sports Radio.
What's going on?

Speaker 4 (18:40):
No?

Speaker 1 (18:41):
Oh, Dave might not be there. That's okay, got some audio, Oh, Dave,
what's going on?

Speaker 11 (18:48):
Dave Day? Brian, I miss your nine eighty sports and Albany. Dude,
you were staple up here. I miss you and Bruce Jacobs.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
Well, thanks, Dave. But I wasn't at that station, Dave.
We're at one O four five. We were at one
O four five was the station we were on.

Speaker 10 (19:07):
Oh yeah, you were.

Speaker 11 (19:08):
You were on the nasty foot of the word. I
knew you guys wrong one of these But I missed
your guy to talk about bad dating and you know
nothing and nothing to Eddie. I love Eddie, but you know,
the Pittsburgh Dillers took a guy that got cut for
Gino Smith and Drew Locke and then he got cut

(19:30):
for for you know, when somebody owed him so much money,
they just ate the money. And now he's gonna be
in Pittsburgh, and unfortunately, I think Mike Tomlin's gonna have
his first losing season as a head coach because Yo, Russ,
Russ is a train wreck. He's got more issues than
I do. And I'm on meds for mine.

Speaker 3 (19:52):
Man.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
I you know, I appreciate you checking in, Dave, and
thanks for the kind words. The one thing I'll say, though,
Eddie is the Steve Deelers were above five hundred, which
they always have been with Mike Tomlin as their head coach.
And look at the quarterback play last season. I know
people bang on Russell Wilson. I get that, but collectively,

(20:12):
this is what the Steelers quarterbacks did last season. Thirteen
touchdown passes, nine interceptions. You don't think Russell Wilson can
do better than that? Thirteen touchdowns, nine interceptions. I think
he can, and they still had a winning record with that,
with Kenny Pickett, Mitch Trubisky, Mason Rudolph with thirteen touchdown

(20:33):
passes on the season, they still had a winning record.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
Yeah, I don't. I don't think it'll be much better
than that.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
To be honest with you, they might not be, but
they weren't just like nine to eight barely. They were
ten and seven with thirteen touchdown passes. They won ten
games when their quarterbacks collectively through thirteen touchdown passes.

Speaker 4 (20:53):
So I wouldn't like.

Speaker 3 (20:55):
What what worries me about this whole situation is, I
wouldn't be surprised if it went either if if the
Steelers were terrible and won five games, or if Russell
Wilson has a career reawakening and the Steelers win thirteen games.

Speaker 4 (21:13):
Really, I mean, it would.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
And the reason I say it wouldn't surprise me not
because I've seen anything from Russell Wilson that makes me
think that that can happen, but just because that would
be classic, like my luck situation, we cut Russell Wilson
and then you go somewhere else and just kills it.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
No, I get that. I totally understand that it's kind
of the betting thing. I took your Angels to score
four runs, they scored one run. The next day they
scored seven. Right, I didn't have a penny on them,
you know. So I get that thinking. And look, Russell
Wilson put up good numbers last season. His numbers were good,

(21:55):
and no one cares because the season prior to that
he was terrible. He was awful with the Broncos. So
I don't know, man, if you just did the blind
resume test, here's the thing. You tell me if this
is good, if these are just like respectable numbers or not.
So we go here, let me see real fast, let

(22:18):
me see. We got to scroll down a little bit.
All right, here we go. Tell Eddie, you tell me
if these are decent numbers. Coop Lorena, everybody sixty six
percent completion rate over three thousand yards passing, twenty six
touchdown passes, eight interceptions. Passer rating is ninety eight. That's

(22:42):
eighth in the NFL. Like is that respectable? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (22:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (22:48):
Those are Russell Wilson's numbers last season. Twenty six touchdown passes.
What I just say the Steelers had half of that. Collectively,
they had thirteen touchdown passes as a team last season,
Russ did double that and we're just like, oh, Russ sucks.
They're gonna be awful. No, they're not. They're not gonna
be that bad.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
You saw him play, Coop. Was his performance as good
as those numbers because numbers can lie.

Speaker 3 (23:18):
I mean, it's just it's tough to say, because you know,
you wonder.

Speaker 4 (23:25):
He certainly wasn't like.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
He wasn't going out and you know, there was you know,
there was a couple of plays that he did where
you're like, oh, yeah, okay, like you know there there
was a couple of those like the Courtland Sutton touchdown
and it was beautiful. Yeah, But then there were other
moments where you were like, oh, come, like come on,
just get rid of the ball, like why you know
he's taking a sack or he's you know, so there

(23:56):
was just I don't know, I don't think he was
the main problem. But he wasn't winning US games either.
I don't think, you know, except for maybe that one
that one pass.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (24:11):
I just all I'm saying is this, I don't think
the quarterback play for the Steelers has to be great
or even like really good for them to be a
threat to be to have a winning record this season,
Like they didn't have good quarterback play last season at
all and they somehow won ten games. That's crazy. So

(24:34):
I don't have them penciled in to, you know, be
a six and eleven team or something like that just
because they have Russell Wilson. I just think that goes
over the top.

Speaker 7 (24:43):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Ben Meler
Show weekdays at two am Eastern eleven pm Pacific.

Speaker 1 (24:49):
So I missed this story. I don't know if you
heard about this either, But did you catch the Reese
press conference from a couple of nights ago when there
was just this random conversation in the background. Have you
heard about this at all?

Speaker 2 (25:10):
I saw something on social media. I did not click
on it because I don't care about the WNBA one bit,
But I did see something on social media about yet.

Speaker 1 (25:21):
Yes, I bring it up because it is funny. So
Angel Reese is doing a press conference and she's in
the middle of this double double streak she might have tied.
I think on this night she might have tied Candace
Parker for having twelve double doubles in a row. That

(25:43):
might have been the timeline, but she's being asked a
question about Candace Parker and whatever basketball stuff, and in
the background, Eddie, you can hear a female voice saying,
are we ever going to have an intimate relationationship? You're
gonna have to listen carefully for this. And then a

(26:04):
little bit later you hear a male voice say I
never had any interest in being intimate with anyone, that
this is during the press conference, that somehow this conversation
is being leaked, so listen to this carefully.

Speaker 11 (26:19):
I guess just talk about was it like being in
the same I'm sorry, last part sometimes an uncomfortable topic.
Excuse me?

Speaker 6 (26:27):
Can some I didn't hear?

Speaker 8 (26:31):
Can you repeat your question?

Speaker 6 (26:32):
Jordan?

Speaker 11 (26:33):
We have some background noise with anyone going.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
Okay, So it's just chaos, right, like, what is going on?
There's this conversationation in the background. Apparently it was from
the TV show Big Bang Theory. It was playing from
w g N somehow on the zoom feed, and so
Angel Reese is thinking, someone's saying these things. This is

(27:06):
a conversation in real time. Somehow the feed got through
during the press conference. Bizarre, just strange, but it was
the Big Bang Theory. Of all things, and that was
the conversation. That's just random right there, but kind of funny,
right because we don't know that it's a TV show

(27:27):
at all. It just randomly made itself into the press
conference right there. Crazy.

Speaker 6 (27:33):
Now.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
I know you talked about this, Eddie, but to pay
it off the Davonte Adams audio. I brought this up
because listen, your wife is a Chargers fan, right, and
so you've talked about this, but the audio is top shelf.
This is Davonte Adams. He's on with k Adams, the
Up and Adams Show on fan Duel TV. This is

(27:55):
what he had to say about the Chargers. And you
know how they do these witty schedule releases. The Chargers
are known for theirs. They get pretty creative, DEVIANTE Adams
Raiders wide Receiver. He did not take kindly to what
the Chargers did with their schedule release here.

Speaker 12 (28:13):
I think it was a little trend a little bit
ago where you know, a few of the social media
pages were posting some some funny stuff of you know,
when the schedule was releasing, so they posted me and
then like a trash can or something like that, the
Chargers did so, so I thought about responding on social
media to it and you know, being funny there, but

(28:33):
I figured it'd be better to, you know, just beat
their head in and real life and continue doing it
the way, you know, because my first game against them,
I don't know, they clearly forgot Yeah, like shanked forty
one yards in the touchdown, and then the next time
that same year it was like one hundred and seventy
seven yards and you know, two touchdowns. I think it
was that game. So I just wanted to kind of
remind them what they've been going through as it pertains

(28:55):
the plan against me and hopefully the people that made
that post, because it's not the player's fault.

Speaker 4 (29:01):
They didn't have anything to do with the posts.

Speaker 12 (29:03):
But this is directed strictly toward the charge of social
media page. Please keep my name outch of your mouth.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
Okay, Oh, I'm sure they'll do that now after this.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
Ye, that's true. What I Meaneah yeah, kind of random
that they would do that, right with the DeVante Adams
trash can that doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
Was just meant toward the Raiders in general and not
him specifically. I don't understand that.

Speaker 2 (29:33):
I mean as I I don't have an answer for you,
but just going by a lot of the other there's
a lot of inside jokes there on that and a
lot of you know, some not obscure, some obvious.

Speaker 11 (29:47):
Right.

Speaker 2 (29:48):
I would be surprised if there wasn't something.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
Yeah, because I can't imagine they're saying he's trash. It's
got to be some random reference, right, This was the end.
This is kind of funny too from DeVante.

Speaker 5 (30:02):
Are you in this new era where you're just letting
it fly and opening up more? Because I was not
expecting that to Vante. I feel like you're at this
point of your career where you're just letting it, letting
it fly.

Speaker 12 (30:11):
I am, you know, I'm for you. They treat me
like an old man, so I'm just act like because
you know, old man. They don't think. They just say whatever,
you know, whatever they feel. So that's how my grandpa
is at least. So I'm just trying to be the
old man that they want me to be.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
Well.

Speaker 1 (30:24):
I do know this though, Eddie, We're probably going to
take the over on Davante Adams props against the Chargers
because he's definitely fired up about the social media team
and the schedule release, so he's probably going to carve
him up again.

Speaker 2 (30:37):
So well, the problem with that is, you know, he
can't throw the ball to himself, as as old Boonchin
said once back in the day, Right, wasn't that her?
Wasn't that her? That Tom can't throw it to himself?

Speaker 1 (30:51):
Oh wow, yeah.

Speaker 2 (30:53):
Gizelle, Sorry, I was blanking on the first name.

Speaker 1 (30:55):
No love for minshew mania over there, huh.

Speaker 2 (30:59):
I'd like I think he's I like him, but I
don't think he's a great quarterback.

Speaker 1 (31:02):
No, it's like an okay, backup guy, but.

Speaker 2 (31:06):
He and I don't even know that it's I don't
even know that's for sure his job at this point.

Speaker 1 (31:10):
Well, yeah, that's the other thing. Could be Aidan O'Connell.

Speaker 2 (31:13):
But yeah, who.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
Was their quarterback last year? And he rattled off the
stats against the Chargers. You know that Charger secondary is
not exactly elite right.

Speaker 2 (31:23):
Now, It's not it's not.

Speaker 1 (31:25):
Yeah, all right, coming up next, we close it down
with some quick hits, you know, rapid fire style, some
stuff that is a blend of funny slash entertaining and
and man, you talk funny and entertaining. One of our

No.

Speaker 1 (32:23):
You know, Eddie, always a great time being with you.
I don't know if you can say the same about me,
but uh, I'm time. Well, I appreciate that I got
some quick hits for you. And then we will hear
from an esteemed member from the Maler Militia. Very much
looking forward to it, so you know about Josh Allen
from the Bills, right the quarterback. You know about the

(32:44):
Josh Allen from the Jacksonville Jaguars, right the defensive end.
He's changed his name.

Speaker 2 (32:50):
I saw that.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
Yeah, he's gonna be josh Heinz Allen, so a bit of.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
An even Joshua. I think he was going to go
by Are.

Speaker 1 (32:59):
You serious going Joshua Hines Allen? Oh wow, I didn't
realize that. But yeah, it's a tribute to his maternal
side of the family. He's got some relatives that go
by the same name. He has a sister in the
WNBA that goes by Hines Allen. So that's what he's
gonna do. He's gonna be josh or Joshua Hines Allen

(33:21):
instead of just Josh Allen, so he will not be
referred to as the other josh Allen anymore.

Speaker 2 (33:27):
Right, Thank god? I was so confused. Yeah, we'll see
all the time.

Speaker 1 (33:33):
How about this Joe tessitur great announcer. He's joining WWE,
He's going to remain with the ESPN. Does great with
the boxing stuff, calls college football games. But he says,
as a lifelong viewer, I'm humbled to join this team
and to serve our fans. How about that Joe Testator
WWE announcer. What do you think about that?

Speaker 2 (33:56):
I could see that he's got that kind of h
I don't know, not generic stereotypical announcer voice guy. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
So him doing wrestling seems kind of a natural to me.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
You're cool with that? Yeah, I think he could do
a great job with her. He's very talented. You hear
about this announcer, Yes, he's very serious with the boxing stuff.
So I can't imagine that would be the same vibe
with WWE. You know, it's going to sound a little
bit different. Did you hear about this? A six foot
eleven college football player?

Speaker 2 (34:33):
So this guy did not hear about this?

Speaker 1 (34:35):
Yeah, he was a college he was a basketball player.
He was in Overtime Elite for the last three years.
But it's jizarre. Jackson. He's going to the University of Georgia.
It's going to be a six foot eleven offensive lineman.
So he was recruited by Florida Florida State, among others.
So he checked in at Georgia measuring six foot eleven,

(34:58):
three hundred and forty pounds there and he was an
AAU team made of Brownie James at one point, so
this is kind of funny. He thought he'd maybe be
a second round pick or possibly go undrafted. But he's like,
instead of playing in the G League or overseas, how
about college football? So that's what he's doing. Six foot
eleven offensive tackle. What do you think about that?

Speaker 2 (35:22):
I mean, you know, obviously he's probably got some pretty
good feet.

Speaker 1 (35:25):
You would think that.

Speaker 2 (35:27):
Lineman.

Speaker 1 (35:28):
We'll see he's got a duck a little bit, you know,
crouch down somewhat. Good lord, six eleven, that's crazy.

Speaker 6 (35:35):
All right?

Speaker 1 (35:35):
We gotta go out to a fan favorite and a
personal favorite of mine. Love me some, Marcel in Brooklyn
here on Fox Sports Radio. What is going on? Marcel?

Pirates action.

Speaker 6 (37:01):
How about the Mets Pirates action without the amazing Mits
Max action. I guarantee you with that, So thank tune. Eddie.

Speaker 2 (37:10):
Well, the Mets didn't play the Pirates, so I guess
you didn't watch that. I'm gonna Yankees raise Yankees.

Speaker 6 (37:17):
Raise's lost five?

Speaker 2 (37:20):
Did loss?

Speaker 6 (37:21):
My friend? Alright, Lorena, you watch soccer?

Speaker 5 (37:26):

Speaker 7 (37:27):

Speaker 6 (37:30):
Yes, Canada eliminate, but Argentina won. But not a mixed match.

Speaker 1 (37:35):

Speaker 11 (37:41):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (37:41):
Not a mixed match either?

Speaker 1 (37:44):
What is it?

Speaker 6 (37:46):

Speaker 1 (37:52):
