Speaker 4 (00:48):
The way tire buying should be Eddie Garcia. How is life?
Everything good? Anything bad?

Speaker 5 (00:55):
No complaints, Brian, No, no complaints?

Speaker 4 (00:57):
Okay, it's good.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
Doesn't necessarily mean that there's nothing bad. It just means
you're not complaining about anything.

Speaker 5 (01:04):
I guess that's true. I will I will add then
that there's everything's good.

Speaker 4 (01:08):
Everything that's good, very good, very nice. Not everything's great.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
For Brian Flores right now, the Vikings defensive coordinator as
what we call this toua gate.

Speaker 5 (01:21):
No, please don't, please don't.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
Does everything need a gate? Okay, we'll leave the gate
off of this thing. But Brian Flores, who is the
defensive coordinator of the Vikings now, he was the former
head coach of the Dolphins and to a tongue of
I looa, he was on with Dan Lebtard and he
talked about Brian Flores and then Flores on Tuesday, he responded, Eddie,

(01:45):
so I feel like just we're all on the same
page and it's such great audio with two talking about
how Brian Flores was just not exactly an uplifting, mister
inspirational type head coach.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
Right, basically is what he's saying.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
Here's what TUA said about Flores and the difference with
his current head coach, Mike McDaniel, who is actually positive.

Speaker 6 (02:08):
Here's Tua to put it in simplest terms. If you
woke up every morning and I told you you sucked
at what you did, that you don't belong doing what
you do, that you shouldn't be here, that this guy
should be here, that you haven't earned this right, and

(02:28):
then you have somebody else come in and tell you dude,
you are the best fit for this, Like, you are accurate,
you are the best. Whatever you are this you are that.

Speaker 5 (02:38):
Like, how would it.

Speaker 6 (02:40):
Make you feel listening to one or the other? You
see what I'm saying, and then you hear it. You
hear it regardless of what it is, the good or
the bad, and you hear it more and more. You
start to actually believe that, I don't care who you are,
you can be the president of the United States. You
have a terrible person that's telling you things that you
don't want to hear or that you probably shouldn't be hearing,

(03:03):
You're gonna start to believe that about yourself.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
Yeah, so there you go, Eddie, that was the initial comment.
How about that Tua calls Brian Flores a terrible person.
You have a terrible person saying negative things about you.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
You're gonna start strong. It's very strong, right.

Speaker 5 (03:19):
Not what we're used to from professional athletes.

Speaker 4 (03:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (03:23):
Right, and it's totally honest like that.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Yeah, and Tua especially, I feel like, right, Tua is
a pretty positive guy. Like if you said there's gonna
be a quarterback who just puts his former coach on blast,
I don't know that. I would have thought of Tua, right,
would you have thought of that?

Speaker 7 (03:41):
No?

Speaker 5 (03:42):
Not at all.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
Yeah, Well, this is Brian Flores. On Tuesday, he responded
to that initial criticism from Tua, and he was emotional. Eddie,
how about this is the first comment from Flora's.

Speaker 8 (03:52):
Oh, look, I've done a lot of reflecting on this situation,
you know, reflect on the situation communication. You know, I
think there's things that I could do better, for sure,
and I've grown in that way, and I tried to
apply the things that I could do better and the
things that I've learned, I know, over the last you know,

(04:12):
two three years.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
Okay, and then he was asked to follow up question,
do you feel like you you've grown, like you're a
better coach?

Speaker 4 (04:20):
Now here's what he said.

Speaker 8 (04:21):
And all professions, you know, if you're staying the same,
you're pretty much, you know, getting worse. So, like I
said earlier, I mean, I think I've gotten better, improved
in a lot of areas, you know, as a coach,
you know, as a as a parent, a husband, you know,
in all these areas. And I just try to daily

(04:41):
improve and get better and evolve.

Speaker 5 (04:45):
And so yes, i think I've improved.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
Okay, Uh.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
My takeaway, Eddie is there's so much like he said,
he said, these days where I will give props to
Flores for just it. It wasn't one of these like no,
I never said that, you know, it was just constructive criticism.
I never put him on blast like he could have
done that. But there was none of that. And he said, no,

(05:12):
I've worked hard to get better and improve, so at
least that portion of it I can get behind. Listen,
he stepped in it in a major way, and at
least he owned it instead of saying no, no, no, I
didn't step in it. He said like, yeah, I screwed up,
and that wasn't easy to hear. But I'm trying to
get better now. I'm cool with that part of it.

(05:33):
What's your read on this whole thing?

Speaker 5 (05:35):
Well, my read on it is Brian Flores would like
to be an NFL head coach again some time. They
would like to get a second shot at this, and
I think he's trying to spin this and basically say
I've learned from it, so if you want to hire
me as your head coach, I will be able to
handle our star quarterback or if we get a young
quarterback I'll learn from my mistakes and the way I

(05:57):
handled to a tongue of my loa. Maybe he's been sincere,
or maybe he's just saying the things he thinks that
people want to hear so that he can get another shot.
But either way, I think this has done a lot
of damage to his chances of ever getting a head
coaching job again.

Speaker 4 (06:11):
No doubt about it.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
This is a horrible, horrible thing for Flores as he's
trying to be a head coach again after suing the
NFL and individual teams claiming that there was racism behind
some of these hires and he didn't get a shot
where I mean, if you rewind Eddie, think about that
with that Giant's opening and look, that whole story was crazy.

(06:35):
Where Bill Belichick he's the guy that started this whole thing.
Belichick texted Brian Flores when he was up for the
Giants job. Flores was about to be interviewed, and Belichick
texted Brian Flores and said, hey, congratulations on getting the job,
and Flores was like, what, I haven't even interviewed yet,

(06:58):
and Belichick was like, my bad. I meant to send
that to Brian Dabel Like they were gonna hire Dable
and so that's what started the whole lawsuit thing from Flores,
where is like, wait a minute, they had their mind
made up before they even interviewed me. But the reason
I bring all that up is because you don't think
the Giants either A had their I on Brian dabele

(07:21):
that happens, and b maybe had known about this Tua
Flora's thing why he was ousted in the first place.
Do you want that as the QB head coach marriage
going forward? If it completely fizzled out with the Dolphins,
who's lining up?

Speaker 4 (07:36):
Which team is lining up right now?

Speaker 3 (07:39):
After this whole thing to be like, hey, I think
Flores would be a great hire to be our next
head coach. So the point is not automatically just sheer,
full blown nothing but racism. That's the only reason why
Dabel got the nod instead of Brian Flores. I never
bought into that, but this to a situation makes you
reflect back on that pre story, at least it does me.

Speaker 5 (08:02):
Yeah, no, I think that's a great point that I
actually did not did not remember. But look, any any
relationship a head coach has with his quarterback is going
to be important, and you know, if you are a team,
I think we have an established veteran Hall of Fame
or something like that.

Speaker 9 (08:20):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (08:20):
And and you know, maybe Brian Flores does an amazing
job with the Minnesota Vikings defense. That would be a
specific situation where maybe you would consider him. But if
you were a team that's rebuilding and you know you're
going to have at some point and invest in a
younger quarterback, I'm not I'm not even considering him for
the job because of how he handled the to a thing.

(08:41):
And for Tua and as you said, it doesn't it
seems very out of character. He's one of those guys
that his teammates really genuinely seem to like and go
out of their way to saying good things about. For
him to come out this strong and say this is
again pretty damaging.

Speaker 3 (08:59):
Yeah, it's it's like, wow, this must have gone on
for quite a while. I would love to know the
specifics of it, Eddie. Where Tua said that at the
beginning of it, where he was like, hey, this guy
should be here. He was doing his Flora's impression, right,
what was the specific thing said? If you go back
to that draft, right Burrow went number one, then it

(09:22):
was to a fifth and Herbert was sixth, and Herbert
had a great rookie season. Was Flora's like, we should
have justin Herbert here instead of you two you suck?
Like what was he saying specifically? I would love to
know the details of that. Of course, it was not
very flattering whatever was said, but man, I would love
to know the details of what was said specifically. And

(09:45):
I caught a little bit of Herd Show on Tuesday, Eddie,
and he traced it back to Belichick where some of
these coaches, Matt Patricia tried to do it with the Lions.
It seems like Brian Flores was trying to do it
with the Dolphins, where these Belichick disciples they do their
Belichick impression and it's like, that's not gonna work. It's

(10:07):
not gonna work because one, you're not Belichick and two
like two is not Tom Brady, you know what I mean, Like,
you can't just dog cuss anybody and expect them to respond.
I don't think Tua is that type of guy, and
so that, however you look at it, it failed miserably.
And Flores, like you said, Eddie, if you've got an
established quarterback in place, and for whatever reason, you know,

(10:32):
your head coach retires or he's gone for one reason
or the next, maybe Flores would be the guy. But
a young quarterback. No, this is incredibly damaging. No team
would want to go down that road because it failed
so badly with Miami. Man, why would you well.

Speaker 5 (10:49):
Let me spend this in a little bit of a
different direction, because last time you and I were together,
you were talking about the virtues of Bill Belichick getting
another job, and you couldn't believe that it had gotten
past over blah blah blah. You mentioned that all of
his assistants have been pretty much colossal failures. Yeah, and
he had Tom Brady, an established quarterback. If you're a

(11:09):
team with a young quarterback, you want to hire Bill
Belichick to come in and be the guy who gives
the old school tough love to these new generation of quarterbacks.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
Well, the great example is the Eagles, right, I don't
know why Nick Sirianni is right there, like Jalen Hurts
is not a rookie. Granted he's still young, but he's
not like young young. Also, the Cowboys, I don't know
why they're running it back with Mike McCarthy, Like Dak
Prescott's not a young guy. So those are two good

(11:40):
examples of we're not talking like Caleb Williams with the
Bears or Jaden Daniels with Washington, right, like those type
of situations.

Speaker 4 (11:48):
I'd be fine with Belichick being there.

Speaker 5 (11:51):
But that's not what I asked. But you you were
if you were hiring a if you need an head
coach and you were gonna have the younger quarterback leading
your team, do you want Bill Belichick to be the
guy to come in?

Speaker 4 (12:05):
And I'd find guy. I'd be absolutely fine with it
because what happened the.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
First go round, Like, we're just looking at the tough
love Belichick he had Brady.

Speaker 5 (12:19):
Yeah, that was a long time ago. Things have really
changed with the mindset of the athletes these days.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
Okay, but I hear you. But my point is kind
of worked out with Brady, you know. Yeah, he was
rough around the edges and said some things that Brady
didn't like, but he responded to it and they had
huge success. I also think this, too, Eddie, is what
gets glossed over and the Brady Belichick thing is there
are a lot of head coaches that never would have

(12:45):
gone to Brady in the first place. I know they
had to when Bledsoe got hurt, but leedso saved him
in the AFC title game against your Steelers, like Brady
got hurt in that game. And there are a lot
of coaches that would say, give me the veteran Bledsoe
healthy again, he just saved us, Let's start him. It's
safer in the super Bowl that that's not the road

(13:05):
that Belichick went down. And there are a lot of
coaches that never would have kept a fourth quarterback like
the Patriots did Brady's rookie season. So there are a
lot of teams that Brady never would have become Brady
because coaches don't think the way Belichick does. So No,
I don't think it would be all bad with Belichick
and a rookie like he was up for the Falcons job.

(13:28):
Do you think it would be an automatic failure? They
draft Michael Pennix junior, and that's gonna be the quarterback
in the not too distant future under Belichick.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
I don't think that's an automatic failure.

Speaker 5 (13:41):
I am not optimistic about Belichick developing a young quarterback.

Speaker 4 (13:46):
Hey fair enough, would you ask?

Speaker 5 (13:49):
I think he's maybe he's smart enough He wouldn't put
himself in that situation either, right, And he's not coming
back to I don't think build some franchise and have
some kind of five year plan to get back to
the super Bowl. He's looking to get a team that
needs that push over the goal line, so to speak.

Speaker 4 (14:07):
I would think I would think so too.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
That's why man, I would think the Eagles the Cowboys
with a very talented roster if given the opportunity, I
don't he'd be out of his mind to turn that down.

Speaker 4 (14:19):
So no good stuff.

Speaker 3 (14:21):

Speaker 3 (16:00):
So you see that the Oklahoma State football team they
have added QR codes to their helmets this season.

Speaker 5 (16:08):
You did see that? Yes?

Speaker 4 (16:10):
Interesting?

Speaker 3 (16:11):
Just scan that code on your TV if there's a
tight helmet shot and donate to the general team fund
right there. So they're believed to be the first team
to do this. How long until this catch is on?
Not just in college football, but maybe the NFL? Are
we gonna have QR codes all over helmets? Now?

Speaker 5 (16:32):
I don't know about the NFL, but I think there
will be other college teams that definitely get in on
this for sure. Yeah, probably right now? Yeah, right, somebody
you know said, hey, do you see what Oklahoma State
is doing? Okay, let's do that. How do we do that?

Speaker 3 (16:46):
Are we going to have this on the field? Could
they do that? Could they have a QR code on
the field? You know how they have that at kind
of like the twenty five yard lines. They have some
sort of advertisement right there.

Speaker 4 (16:58):
Could you do a QR code on the field like that?

Speaker 5 (17:01):
That's a good question. I don't know. I don't know
how detailed it has to be. I mean, certainly if
you were, you know, the network that was broadcasting it.
I think you could probably do that with the technology
we have now, right, you could put all kinds of
things on the field, advertisements, It doesn't have to necessarily
be on the field, right. Yeah, I was gonna say,

(17:21):
as a hockey fan, you've got they put their own
ads on the boards that are not really there that
they're just they're just on the TV broadcast, which is wild.

Speaker 3 (17:30):
They do a good job with that, really, the boards
in hockey.

Speaker 5 (17:34):
Yeah, a lot of people bitched about it initially because
they do have like animation on there, you know, but
like a car driving buy it and people were like, oh,
that's distracting. It never bothered me, but I was fine
with it, although I would not agree with the commissioner,
Gary Bettman, who said that their polling showed that fans
actually preferred that. I'm like, I don't know about that. Yeah,

(17:55):
it may not bug me, but I don't know that
I want that over, you know, just the regular boards advertisements.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
I did like the hockey playing Gecko that was really nice.
During the playoff, that was nice. But yeah, also on
the ice, like you said, like NBA, NHL where they
have the superimposed graphics that aren't really there on the
floor or on the ice.

Speaker 4 (18:20):
They could absolutely do a QR code like that.

Speaker 5 (18:23):
But I think you were asking, like, could they actually
cut it into the reactual turf, right? I don't know.

Speaker 4 (18:30):
I don't know. I would think they could.

Speaker 3 (18:33):
I'm pretty sure they could maybe be a little bit
dicey if it's a natural grass field, you know, but
the field turf, I feel like they could make that
happen it painted on there.

Speaker 4 (18:43):
I think it could be done.

Speaker 5 (18:44):
The QR code for me, it was kind of interesting
when it first came out, but I never really used it.
And now it's like making a comeback. Like you could
go to a restaurant. Oh, they wouldn't even give you
a menu. They'll just put a QR code on your table.

Speaker 4 (18:56):
I know it.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
Yeah, just scan the code. Boom, there's the menu. That's
how they roll these days. But yeah, Oklahoma State they
are the first to put it on a helmet. And
I love this too. Eddie the Oklahoma State Cowboy Football
posted this on Twitter.

Speaker 4 (19:12):
The future is here.

Speaker 3 (19:13):
Scan QR codes all season long to donate and.

Speaker 4 (19:17):
Uh, there you go. That's uh that's what we're looking at.

Speaker 5 (19:20):
With with nil. Could it get to a point where
it's not just going into the general Football Fund, but
you're actually paying that guy after he scores a touchdown.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
Dude, I'm telling you we're we're getting around that territory
where it's a little bit like American idol. You know,
like let's just say someone scores a touchdown and you
can text four two one one eight to donate for
you know, the running back Ali Gordon who just scored
a touchdown.

Speaker 4 (19:48):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (19:49):
Like, I wouldn't be shocked if we're bordering on that territory.

Speaker 10 (19:53):
Well, you know, Brian, when you said the QR code
thing to me, I thought it was gonna show players
stats and their background and where they're from. I didn't
think it was going to be asking for money.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
Yeah, No, that's it. It's so you can donate to
the fund right there.

Speaker 10 (20:09):
I think I'd rather know more about each player and
then donate below. You know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (20:14):
Uh huh yeah, you want it more?

Speaker 5 (20:15):
Uh too?

Speaker 4 (20:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 10 (20:18):
And also I hate QR codes at restaurants. Okay, we
are already on our phones too much. It's so impersonal,
Like here, start out on your phone. Yeah, Like I
think it's bad etiquette.

Speaker 4 (20:29):
Hey, fair enough, fair enough.

Speaker 5 (20:32):
I agree, but I'm you know, I'm a I'm an
older person.

Speaker 3 (20:36):
You ever have your phone that's like this stupid code
won't scan and I can't get to the menu.

Speaker 4 (20:41):
You ever have that, Eddie, Uh.

Speaker 5 (20:43):
Not that I can. I mean, I'm sure it's happened.
But just to lo Raina's point, when my wife and
I called to dinner, we do have like the no
phone policy where it's like, hey, we're having dinner now, Yeah,
no phones unless it's some real emergency or something.

Speaker 3 (20:57):
You know, phones in the middle. First one who grabs
it pays for everything.

Speaker 10 (21:01):
But now you have to look at it continually. If
you want to order more food, especially at Korean barbecue spots.

Speaker 3 (21:09):
You're looking for seconds and thirds. And it's kind of
funny too because Eddie Mike Gundy had.

Speaker 5 (21:15):
Yes, I was gonna mention this right on the heels
of this go ahead.

Speaker 4 (21:19):
Yeah, this is on Big twelve media day.

Speaker 3 (21:21):
He said this about Nil and players and agents asking
for more money.

Speaker 11 (21:26):
There's no negotiating now, yes, portals over all negotiations history.
Now we're playing football. You know the business side of
what we do now is is we have to have
those conversations with him, you know, tell your agent to
quit calling us and asking for the money. It's non negotiable.
Now start again in December.

Speaker 3 (21:43):
So it's like, stop calling and begging for more money.
We're playing football, no more negotiating. And the next thing
you know, they've got QR codes on the helmets where
you can donate to this general fund for the players,
and they're not giving them that money now. Is kind
of odd timing how this all worked out here.

Speaker 5 (22:04):
Yeah, Mike Gundhy has had some interesting comments before the
season has started so far, has he not?

Speaker 3 (22:09):
Yeah, well we found out that he's driven drunk thousands
of times. Right that's when Ali Gordon, the star running back,
he was popped for a duy and I don't know
what point exactly Mike Gundy was going for, but he
was like, well, hell, I thought I've done that thousand times.
It's like cool, awesome, coach, you drive drunk. Good to

(22:30):
know just admitted that publicly.

Speaker 4 (22:32):
What is he doing, Eddie?

Speaker 5 (22:35):
Yeah? I have no idea.

Speaker 3 (22:37):
Not great, not great from Mike Gundy right there, but uh,
there you go QR codes on the helmets. I still
will say this, Eddie, I get it with Oklahoma State,
where it's Boone Pickens Stadium. T Boom Pickens donated millions
of dollars to that university. I get why his name
is on the stadium. But it's just funny that Oklahoma

(22:57):
State now has QR codes on the helmets where you
can scan and donate to the players, and yet a
lot of these college football stadiums they don't have corporate names,
like I don't know why they're not dipping into that
revenue stream if they're looking at QR codes on helmets
and every other way to make money.

Speaker 4 (23:18):
I get it, make a box, fine.

Speaker 3 (23:20):
I just don't know why these stadiums aren't named after
corporate sponsors.

Speaker 4 (23:24):
Why why not?

Speaker 3 (23:26):
If it's a generic stadium name, it's not named after
an actual great player, a great coach, or someone who
donated a fortune. It's just like Ohio Stadium, Notre Dame Stadium.
I don't know why there is not a corporate sponsor
on that stadium's name.

Speaker 4 (23:42):
I don't get that.

Speaker 5 (23:43):
Yeah, my alma mater, Frezo State, had Bulldog Stadium for many,
many years, and yeah, now they've sold it to a hospital.
It's now named after a local Children's Hospital, so they
have sold it. And if it wasn't That's hospital, it
would be something else, a Indian casino or something like that.

Speaker 4 (24:00):
So there you go, Chuck Chancey's big over there, right.

Speaker 5 (24:03):
Yeah, that's the well. I don't know if it still
is anymore because I can't keep track of this. As
we mentioned, I think the last time you were with us, uh,
yeah that was. I think that's the it was, or
it may be still is. The Triple A Ballpark was named.

Speaker 3 (24:15):
That bib Yeah, yeah, oh the Grizzlies. Yeah, it still
might be. Yeah, it's been a while. But what is
the name of Bulldog Stadium?

Speaker 12 (24:24):
Now?

Speaker 4 (24:24):
Do you know it?

Speaker 5 (24:25):
Valley Children's Hospital Stadium?

Speaker 3 (24:28):
Wow? Interesting, I'm sure all the locals are still calling
it Bulldog Stadium.

Speaker 4 (24:32):
You know they're not gonna.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
Call it that.

Speaker 5 (24:35):
Yeah, it's a bit of a mouthful too.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
It is absolutely be sure to catch live editions of
the Ben Mallor Show weekdays at two am Eastern eleven
pm Pacific.

Speaker 3 (24:43):
I do love the militia how they can be very supportive,
very U Is that right? Yes, absolutely they can. They
kind of just pat you on the back and say, hey,
thanks for being here.

Speaker 5 (24:54):
You know it sounds like them.

Speaker 4 (24:55):
Yeah, every now and then it can go a different way.

Speaker 3 (24:59):
Kevin and checks in on Twitter and says, as soon
as I hear knows girly voice.

Speaker 4 (25:04):
I move on which gurly voice?

Speaker 11 (25:08):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (25:08):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (25:09):
What do you think Eddie? On the girly voice meter?
Where am I on a scale from one to ten?

Speaker 5 (25:14):
When I hear your voice, Briandan, do not think of
a girl? I will say that.

Speaker 3 (25:17):
That's good.

Speaker 10 (25:18):
I've never thought that. That's crazy.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
Well, thank you, Loraine, I appreciate that. And the weird
twist is that guy Kevin. He follows me apparently, so
he just felt like throwing that out there on Twitter.

Speaker 4 (25:32):
Have you ever, Eddie, are you ever like, man.

Speaker 3 (25:34):
I hate this guy. I'm gonna follow him. Have you
ever done that?

Speaker 5 (25:38):
No? No, I have not done that. I don't believe.

Speaker 10 (25:40):
It's like when you have a crush on someone and
you like pick on him, right, so I like you.
Maybe if I pick on you, you're gonna like interact
with me. I bet that's what he wanted.

Speaker 4 (25:48):
I don't know. Maybe I'm not sure what he's going
for right there.

Speaker 3 (25:52):
Hey, someone you're very fond of in the militia here Eddie,
you love this guy's gambling advice. Huh oh our guy,
Poppy's in San Diego.

Speaker 4 (26:03):
Poppy, what's going on? You're on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 7 (26:06):
Way who heay?

Speaker 12 (26:09):
Welcome Brian, Well, congratulations, you know what's hearing your show
on Sunday everyone. If you guys haven't heard Brian on
Sunday Morning by Bett and she Am the Sunday Kickoff,
that's really get cracking Murger, you know talking about Sports City.
That was amazing.

Speaker 4 (26:23):
You know, well, thanks, Poppy. I appreciate that.

Speaker 12 (26:25):
Yeah, you know, talking about all betting's and different sides
and you know, I don't know if you know, Brian,
but uh, we're gonna be having a bit right here
and Ben Malads.

Speaker 7 (26:35):
Ticking with Poppy versus a Ozzie b That's what I liked.

Speaker 3 (26:40):
All right, what do you have for us, Poppy? I
want to hear these selections of yours here.

Speaker 12 (26:44):
Yeah, well, you know what we're gonna talk football. I mean,
I'm really liking this game on you know, Thursday. Let's
go with the pieces and closing the game. I'm really
liking this game. Look it's the Chicago Bears. Caleb Williams.
You know he's gonna be playing a little bit and
the cheese.

Speaker 3 (26:59):
He's not gonna he's playing, Poppy, he's out, he's not
playing at all.

Speaker 4 (27:03):
He's off, he's not playing at all.

Speaker 12 (27:09):
Oh well, but what's the line? Do you know the line?
For nottse They just talk lines and I'll just kidd
you what I'm feeling.

Speaker 4 (27:14):
Let me get it for you.

Speaker 5 (27:15):
Wait a minute, this is he's supposed to be our
gambling guy. You don't know the you don't know the lines,
not prepared, Poppy.

Speaker 12 (27:26):
I'm driving so like.

Speaker 11 (27:30):
Ving.

Speaker 3 (27:30):
Okay, he was driving, right, So the Bears are favored
by a point and a half at the Chiefs here, Poppy.

Speaker 12 (27:37):
But the reason why I'm liking the Chicago Bears that
this what's gonna happen. The Bears are gonna go undefeated
in the preseason. Everyone's gonna be hiking the birds. Yeah, yeah,
and when it comes to regular season, they're gonna be
stinking guys. So if you want to make money, we're
gonna go with the Chicago Bears going undefeated in the preseason.

(27:57):
Four and all right, So I'm really like the Bears
on this one because you know, I think the whole
public bet you know, Yeah, and the regular season, they're
gonna tang They're gonna do horble.

Speaker 3 (28:14):
Okay, all right, so what the season win total? I
think is eight and a half. I think that's it
for the Bears. You're taking the under on that?

Speaker 4 (28:21):
There, hump, Poppy.

Speaker 12 (28:22):
Yeah, I'm really taking the under because they're not really
going to go He's so good, but you know what,
the Bears are gonna be exciting. Like Caleb Williams, I know,
you like doing the pump bets and like, like you
gotta studying them out. Let's preturn one game he doesn't
go over two hundred yards on the next game, he
will bounce back.

Speaker 7 (28:40):
Guys.

Speaker 12 (28:40):
It's just it's the name of the law. And then
if he's on a hot streak, you want to bet
the under though. I mean, that's what I'm That's what
I'm feeling. But the other game that I'm really liking
is the Colts versus the Bengals. But like Richardson doesn't fairy,
I don't know about the Colts, you know, So I
mean I'm really liking the Colts on this time.

Speaker 3 (29:02):
Okay, Poppy, all right, we'll see big favorites favored by
six and a half last time, game.

Speaker 12 (29:08):
So, yeah, that's a big one. Brian, What do you
like you on that game?

Speaker 7 (29:12):
Brian?

Speaker 12 (29:12):
What do you like him?

Speaker 4 (29:13):
Absolutely nothing?

Speaker 3 (29:15):
The last week in the preseason when it's backups versus backups. Dude,
your guess as good as mine in most of those games,
all right.

Speaker 12 (29:24):
Right, I just I would want to see what you
said about that game.

Speaker 5 (29:27):
Could be interesting, right for sure?

Speaker 3 (29:29):
Man, Well appreciate you, Poppy. Let's go out to Felexus.
You know, love Felexus over here, proud member of the
Medlard Militia Flexus.

Speaker 4 (29:38):
You're on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (29:39):
Welcome by.

Speaker 7 (29:41):
How you doing, Brian? I Eddy and cute little girl
you got there already said, was justin. Hey Brian, I
got a question.

Speaker 4 (29:52):
Yeah, what do you have?

Speaker 7 (29:54):
I'm back. Did you watch your Olympics?

Speaker 3 (29:58):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (29:58):
I watched a lot of them. I loved it all right.

Speaker 7 (30:01):
The opening ceremony two or three months ago, we hear
that Seleen Divon is like a vegetable. She can't move.

Speaker 2 (30:11):
She can't do this, you can't do that.

Speaker 7 (30:15):
Standing up, and she looked like she was limp shaking
because she was lipsticking. She beats all the drag queens
in the world, I tell you, that was an outstanding performance.
I don't think it was live, you.

Speaker 3 (30:28):
Know, really that looked pretty Uh looked live to me.
I didn't even think that she was lip syncing there.

Speaker 5 (30:35):
I did not hear that she was a vegetable, though
I heard she had some health issues, but vegetable, huh, Flexus.

Speaker 12 (30:43):
She.

Speaker 7 (30:45):
Persistent. I think it was called But do you know
what last time she was an American Music Award, she
was in francing, the same song, the same background music
and everything. Now am I right or wrong? I don't know.
She beats the drag queens and right now and lips thinking.

Speaker 4 (31:08):
I think it was live.

Speaker 3 (31:09):
I don't think it was recording or anything like what
was it Shakira and Copa America that was lip sinking.
There was another girl in the opening ceremony. I don't
know who who she is, but she was absolutely lip sinking.

Speaker 4 (31:24):
I thought the.

Speaker 7 (31:24):
Closing ceremony was better than the opening because it's La
Baby watch Out.

Speaker 3 (31:31):
I just love that we had some metal in the
opening ceremony for Lexus.

Speaker 4 (31:35):
There was a metal band that played, So Flexus loves metal.

Speaker 7 (31:40):
We we do pretty good at some of them. Pitch
we always do good in the lympitch you know Russia
stitch anyway. But anyway, how about those Bills that you
know how I'm going to rub it into you, Well.

Speaker 5 (31:54):
You should be rubbing into Brian. He's a Dolphins fan.
I don't care about the Bills.

Speaker 7 (31:57):
It's true, Dot you I.

Speaker 12 (32:01):
Do.

Speaker 5 (32:02):
But what do they have to do with the With
the Bills, they don't play in the same division. Brian's
a Dolphins fan.

Speaker 4 (32:06):
It's true.

Speaker 7 (32:07):
I'm sorry about that. Brian. You might come someday, Honey.

Speaker 3 (32:14):
I'll wake up and say, what am I doing as
a Dolphins fan? Let me be a Bills fan over here?

Speaker 12 (32:19):
Right?

Speaker 7 (32:20):
All right, right, this is my nightmare.

Speaker 3 (32:25):
I don't know it's gonna happen anytime soon for Lexus,
but it's always good hearing from you, man, Always good
for Lexus.

Speaker 7 (32:31):
Poor Miami anyway. I mean, I never know what goals
with the Dolphins. They keep changing all the time by
going where.

Speaker 3 (32:39):
Yeah, I know, I'm still mad at your Bills. The
final game of the regular season that messed up to Dolphins.
They were gonna win the division. You guys had to
get in the way. You know, it wasn't nice, wasn't
It wasn't nice of you?

Speaker 7 (32:51):
But I don't think they're going to do that. Great,
that's your.

Speaker 3 (32:56):
I think yeah, I think they might take a step
back right there. We'll see what happened flexus. But hey,
thanks for checking on. Yeah you too. There they're FILEXI
on Fox Sports Radio. All right, we got a lot
to do over here right around the corner. This is
a very interesting ruling. We will get to Eddie Garcia.

(33:18):
I'm Brian though. We're in for big Ben Mahler. Hang
with us right here on Fox Sports Radio.

or yesterday not Onia yesterday. I know Li from the
Tiraq dot com Fox Sports radio studios in for Ben Maller.
It's Brian No.

Speaker 3 (34:06):
You know, there was an interesting ruling on Tuesday, Eddie.
How big of a tennis fan are you? Exactly? You
watch the Grand Slams.

Speaker 5 (34:17):
I'm like golf, Yeah, golf and tennis. If there's a
major and it's a nice matchup where there's something kind
of dramatic going on, I might take a look, but
generally speaking, probably.

Speaker 4 (34:31):
Not fair enough.

Speaker 3 (34:33):
Well, you don't have to be hardcore to find this
ruling to be pretty interesting. So world number one tennis
player Yannick Sinner, it's the number one guy in tennis.
He tested positive twice for an anabolic steroid in March.
He was not suspended. He was stripped of his prize

(34:53):
money and points, but an independent tribunal ruled that it
was no inal, not intentional at all. This actually happened.
The ruling is it happened through a massage from his physiotherapist.

(35:13):
That's how the banned substance reportedly entered his system unintentionally.

Speaker 4 (35:20):
You buy that at all here, Eddie.

Speaker 5 (35:22):
I don't buy any excuse for someone testing positive Sorry,
that's just maybe. I mean, I don't think I'm the
most cynical guy in the world. But no, no, I
don't buy that at all. I mean no, yeah, I
don't buy it.

Speaker 4 (35:37):
I don't either, It's I just don't. I know.

Speaker 3 (35:40):
We're not professional athletes, Eddie, but there are plenty of
professional athletes where you could say, Hey, did you just
accidentally get popped for a banned substance? Did you accidentally
just you know ingest steroids somew you know, or absorbed
steroids somehow? Like this is from a massage therapist. It's like,

(36:03):
what are we talking about here?

Speaker 5 (36:04):
Look, the trainer works for you. You hired the trainer,
so you're responsible for whatever he or she may give
you a rub on you or whatever. Sorry, that's you know.
And I find it hard to believe that someone that
you're paying to help you perform better is going to
do something rogue on their own and just be like, ahm,
he doesn't know about this. One'll rub some steroids on

(36:26):
him here, right, right, and hopefully he won't test positive.

Speaker 3 (36:29):
Yeah, that was the excuse from Barry Bonds, right, the
cream and the clear. And it's like, why didn't you
find that to be a little odd. You know, you're
just being massaged out of nowhere. Don't worry about it,
you know, it's just don't sweat it whatsoever. Like, there's
no way this is an accident. I like what Nick
Kyrios posted on Twitter. He's a tennis player, got a

(36:51):
lot of charisma, outspoken. He wrote this, Eddie ridiculous. Whether
it was accidental or planned, you get tested twice with
a substance, you should be gone for two years. Your
performance was enhanced, as I.

Speaker 4 (37:05):
Agree with that. No matter what it was, like it
was accidental.

Speaker 3 (37:09):
I didn't know that everything could be accidental, quote unquote
from now on, you know what I mean.

Speaker 4 (37:15):
I didn't know I.

Speaker 3 (37:16):
Was doing anything, and it just turns out it was
from the massage.

Speaker 4 (37:19):
Who knew and they're like, and you get away with it?

Speaker 7 (37:22):
Well?

Speaker 5 (37:24):
One of my favorites, so was. I think it was
Canelo Alvarez. He ate some beef that was heeded. Why
not let him off.

Speaker 2 (37:34):
Too, right?

Speaker 3 (37:35):
I was just eating what I normally have and it
turns out it was contaminated. One of my favorites was
remember Brian Cushing, he was at Yeah sure, he played
for the Houston Texas.

Speaker 5 (37:49):
Yeah, talent injured.

Speaker 3 (37:51):
Yeah, but he got popped for using peds and he
said it was because he was training too much.

Speaker 4 (37:58):
It was like he needed some training too much, overtraining.

Speaker 3 (38:02):
Syndrome, and that's what produced the false positive. Come on, man,
we've heard everything. I don't buy any of this. I
agree with you on that, all right, Coming up next,
they say this player is ascending
