Speaker 1 (00:00):
Oh, what is going on? How you doing, Matler, Militia.
I hope your Monday morning is off to a fantastic start.
You know what, I can already see that this segment
is probably going to result in verbal fisticuffs. I can see.
I can see it clear as day. It's just right
over the right over the horizon, right there, right over

(00:21):
you know, like you gotta you know, right around right
around the tree, in between the shrubs. Verbal fisticuffs right
around the corner here between myself and Loraina the tech Queen. No,
I'm kidding, me and Justin Cooper. That's right, we can
we can shadow box. I don't care. I'm not scared.

(00:43):
What do you got. No, I'm just kidding. It's gonna
be me and Coop here, because Coop he is gonna
come after the New England Patriots. And I just want
to tell you, I want to warn you, Militia. It's
gonna be a bad take. It's gonna be a bad take,
and I'm gonna pull some sports radio jiu jitsu.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Don't really a take. It's a fact.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
It is a fact. But you know what it is.
It is a completely and utterly misleading fact. You're right Coop,
it's not. It is a fact. I saw this tweet
one of my buddies sent it to me, and it's
exactly what Coop is talking about. So as of today,
after Week seventeen, the Patriots have one win against the

(01:31):
team with the winning record. The New York Giants have
two wins against teams with winning records. So it's like,
oh wow, look at the Patriots. They're just beaten up
on the sad pathetic it is. It's one of the
it's like the easiest schedule in the last twenty five years.
They've beaten up on a bunch of bad teams. But

(01:53):
but but that doesn't mean they're incapable of doing anything.
Like listen, there are so many things to look at here.
Don't just look at man, they've only beaten one team
with the winning record while they're fools gold. I think
that's a bad take because look at what they have.
They've got a pretty good defense, they've got a pretty

(02:16):
good head coach and Mike Rable. They've got a really
good quarterback in Drake May. And this is where that
stat is totally misleading. If you look at what last
week at the Ravens, they're losing by eleven points in
the fourth quarter. If they lose this game, the division

(02:36):
is is up for grabs. The division is in peril
with the Buffalo Bills right on their heels and they
on the road at Baltimore in prime time. Have the
Giants played primetime games this season like they I think
they played the Chiefs earlier in the They're not playing
primetime games. They're like a one pm you know, dree,

(03:00):
they're playing at one day. They broke out and played
at four to twenty five Eastern time this past Sunday.
Whoa man, that was about as prime time as it gets.
For the Giants going to Baltimore in prime time eleven
point deficit have to execute with great precision, and they did.

(03:20):
And now that's just chalked up to well, Baltimore doesn't
have a winning record right now, that doesn't even really count.
It doesn't count. Are you kidding me? That's ridiculous. That's
why you gotta read between the lines sometimes dig deeper
than just the quote unquote facts, like that's a fact
for you. They beat a Ravens team in primetime on
the road when dude, that crowd is into it. You know,

(03:45):
the momentum is clearly on Baltimore's side, and guess what
they did. They seized it right back and they took
that game that matters. They beat the Bills on the road,
that doesn't matter. That's not a good win earlier on,
that's their there's their one win. That's just crazy to me.
So to just overlook the strengths that they have. They've

(04:08):
got a legitimate MVP at quarterback, good head, coach, good defense,
they got a lot to work with. I like the Patriots.
I think there's a lot of value as far as
betting on the Patriots come playoff time, because there are
some people that will just see a tweet and be like,
got one team, We got one win against the one
team with a winning record. I mean, I can't wait

(04:29):
to fade this team. Yeah, go ahead, knock yourself out.
I think they're live. I think they're absolutely live in
the playoffs. I would be surprised if they're in the
super Bowl. I said it, look at the rest of
the AFC. Who do you love? Who do you love
in the AFC? I don't love anybody sort of like
act like the Patriots have what no shot to do anything?

(04:51):
That's crazy odds are they're not going to make the
Super Bowl. I know that, But to talk about them
as if they have no chance just because they've had
an incredibly favorable schedule, that's crazy talk. That's insanity right there.
So no, I don't buy any of that stuff. They
beat a couple of teams that are five hundred, you know,

(05:12):
that's not beating up on all. These teams are just
you know, picking in the top five, top ten of
the NFL draft, and that's it. That's not it. Like
the Ravens are a five hundred team. The Panthers are
a five hundred team. Look at the Panthers. The Panthers
are psychotic, by the way. The Panthers beat the Rams.

(05:33):
The Panthers beat the Packers like those are they beat.
The Rams were at the time the consensus best team
in the NFL. And the Rams went into Carolina and lost,
and then Carolina got swept by the Saints, they got
crushed by the Bills, they got crushed by the Patriots.

(05:54):
The Patriots beat them forty two to thirteen. And we're
just gonna act like it doesn't matter because they're not
they don't have a winning record, Like that's a manufactured.
Ooh oh, this is gonna get some clicks type stat.
That's what it is. There's way more to that stat
than meets the eye.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
But would you be surprised if any one of the
playoff teams, potential AFC playoff teams beat them in the
first round?

Speaker 1 (06:24):
I mean, no, the Texans have a real defense. I
don't like the Texans offensive line. But if that's the matchup,
if that's let's say it's the two to seven matchup,
and Houston goes into fox Borough and wins, I would
be surprised at all, not at all. They've got a
nasty defense, and I don't love the Patriots tackles. Listen,

(06:44):
styles make fights, and look, they don't have the same
playoff experience, even the Texans. They were in the playoffs
last season, right, they beat the Chargers, They picked off
Herbert four times, they went into arrow ahead, they played
a close game against the Chiefs. Like that's real playoff
experience that matters. I would be surprised at all if

(07:06):
the Texans went in there and beat them and the
Patriots are one and done.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
I think we're probably looking at Chargers Patriots, right, if
I mean assuming the right, right, the Broncos.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
It could be could be I mean, listen, it could
be Bills Patriots. That's what it is right now, right speak,
that's I mean. Can you see the Bills going in
there again and you know, taking down the Patriots? Of course,
of course you could see that happening. Could I see
the opposite happening? Yeah? I could see that too. The
Patriots got a little uh, you know, less aggressive. They

(07:44):
got up twenty one to nothing. They were still up.
I was at twenty four to seven I think at halftime,
and man, the Bills came out and they smacked them around.
The Patriots just didn't have that same edge in the
second half, and they're trying to run out the clock
instead is like playing the game. So hey, maybe they
learned some lessons from that loss, but neither would surprise me, Coop.

(08:07):
If that's the matchup Patriots Bills, the Patriots are hosting
in Foxborough, I oughtn't be surprised if be their team won.
I really wouldn't you.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
No, I mean definitely not. I I don't know if
I was betting that game. I don't know if I
if I take probably take the Bills.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
Well, that's the thing. The Bills would be a slight favorite.
I think I think the Bills would have enough so
I do. I think the Bills would have enough backing
from the betting community where yeah, I think they would
be small favorites. I think it'd be close to a
pick them. But I bet the Bills would probably be
like a one point favorite on the road something like that.
I think they would.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
I mean, I you might be right. I just it's
it's wild to me because you you got to imagine that.
I mean, Drake May is probably winning MVP.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
Right, I mean, I think it's Stafford. I think Stafford
gets it this season.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
Even after that loss.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
Yeah, I do. But hey, listen, Drake May's live. They're
pretty close, so it's yeah, it could be a good
little battle who gets it. I like Drake May a lot.
Drake May's got the goods. He's a very good quarterback.
So like, look, man, I wouldn't just look at the
schedule and that's like, I don't want to change the

(09:28):
subject completely, but I'm hearing a lot of that. With
college football. We've got the College Football Playoff right around
the corner. The best matchup of the quarterfinals. I think
it's the shortest point spread. It's Oregon against Texas Tech.
And there are a lot of people that are like
Oregon played a much tougher schedule, Like Oregon's gonna be
the best team that Texas Tech faces easily. And it's like, look,

(09:51):
that's true, but that doesn't mean Texas Tech can't win
that game. You know, Like they got a really good
defensive line, really good front seven. Like their offense when
firing in all cylinders is nasty, they're a wagon. Texas
Tech is tough. So I think we're doing that with
the Patriots, like, oh man, look at their easy schedule.
It's okay, all right, So they're incapable. They're in They

(10:13):
can't beat the Bills at home, they can't beat the Chargers.
Just can't. Can't do it. Come on like that. It
goes beyond the schedule, man, it just does. You can't
have an MVP caliber quarterback, a good head coach, a
good defense and just be incapable of doing anything come
playoff time because they've had a cake schedule. And it's

(10:33):
a bad logic. It's a bad take. So I like
the Patriots, man, I think that a lot of people
are selling the Patriots short is what I think. And
with that we should get to the militia. Huh, how
about that? What the what about that? For a segment?
Let me go to Andre he's in Massachusetts. Let's go
to drey Trey. What's going on?

Speaker 3 (10:53):
Man?

Speaker 1 (10:53):
We're talking Patriots and whatever's on your mind? What do
you have for us, buddy?

Speaker 4 (10:57):
How you doing? Thanks for taking a call listen. Uh,
hundred percent right that the Patriots mean business based on
how to beat the brakes off of the Jets, and
then they have the Dolphins to finish their schedule, so
they're taking no prisoners, have the right attitude and perspective.
But just made another good point that you know the
a f C, you know, in terms of these teams

(11:18):
that are in contention, doesn't look like they're going to
get the number one steed. But you know the Jaguars dangerous,
Houston dangerous with them as well. And then the a
f C West wasn't what we thought it would be, uh,
based on the decline there. I state disintegration of the
Kansas City Chiefs. But the Broncos most certainly and the
Chargers are going are going to be tough out. So

(11:40):
I think it's a huge step for the Patriots getting
the first well, hold on, hold on, hold on. Only
the number one seed gets the first round by so
you know, but they'll have the home field advantage. But uh,
you know, I can't I can't crown them just yet
based on how it's been an absolute soap opera, uh
the last four years post Brady and then the one

(12:03):
year with Gerard Mayo when they won the last game
and gave away the number one pick. So we're new,
we're new work to this winning and expectations thing with
the Patriots, right, I think, frankly, a lot of people
were just happy that, you know, they're not under five hundred,
never mind kind of a team that's in the conversation
to possibly take the AFC. But in no way, shape

(12:24):
or form do I feel we're favorites now. Earlier in
the show, you know, you really got real and alluded
to you know, you got personal, but you alluded to,
you know, some real life things when you feel like
you have that weight on your chest. Yeah, you know,
and you know, as life goes on, you know, we
we have situations and we do our best and we

(12:46):
give ourselves and others the benefit of the doubt. But
You're able to get that weight lifted off your chest,
which is one hundred percent important and necessary, and then
you kind of move forward in good stead, you know,
while still keeping those relationships, you know, intact, but in
a better capacity. So that was really helpful, insightful, and

(13:07):
then relevant because we're talking about the bills here. You
need been talking about the bills, you know, come on out?
What what what? What are we doing? Is this weight?
You know what I mean? And it almost feels like
we do have to go back to the early nineties
and the four Falls of Buffalo, you know, and really
the first one you mentioned, mister Scott Norwood. I'm from
the great state of New Jersey, but I grew up

(13:29):
in Rockland County, New York. So I remember like it
was yesterday that first Super Bowl when they were they
had it right there, and then the Giants were dead
to rights, but he could he couldn't connect on that
field goal, and then you know, NFL stands for not
for long baby, all right, Dan Marino gets to that
Super Bowl. Second year, he never goes back. Bill's never
got that close again. Next year they get blown out

(13:51):
by the Redskins, and then they have to go to
face the Cowboys twice and it just wasn't it wasn't
to be so relative to today and and the debacle. Josh Allen,
former MVP, you can't make a basic throw, you know,
to to to seal the deal and look all story
out So long windows for all of these contending teams

(14:12):
I feel are closing. Ravens dumpster firing, you know, and
this is supposed to be their year. It's on the
absolute other direction. Now there's infighting, talking about Lamar wanting out.
You know, I just unless they catch lightly in a
bottle break through and make you know, I just think
their window is frankly closed. And I think the Bills
are right there with them. All right, enough fun games

(14:33):
and I you know, talk about mcdermot's a good coach,
Josh Allen's a good quarterback. But for some reason, they're
just not It's just not connecting when it has to connect.
And I don't I don't. I'm not a fan of
blowing these teams up, but you might just have to
just be a good you know, they're building a new
stadium in Buffalo, right They're gonna they're gonna be jumping

(14:55):
off of the top rope and and and and destroying
those tables, those those innocent takes. They do anything to do,
but they're gonna They're gonna do it anyway. But that
But that's fine. All I'm saying is, you know, did
the weight on the bills chest? You know, I don't
know if it's if it's gonna be lifted with winning
and them actually getting back in the super Bowl conversation.
If they don't believe it in themselves, maybe they go

(15:18):
see doctor Melcie. I don't know. If you're still in
business in New Jersey, maybe they.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
Do know you gotta do something. Andre all right, man,
you got it. We got it, buddy, We got it.
Like you're just going and going and going and going.
He's the energizer bunny tonight man like you.

Speaker 5 (15:31):
He was on one China put some punctuation in there.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
I couldn't.

Speaker 1 (15:35):
I couldn't. We got, We got a lot of commas.

Speaker 6 (15:37):
We got.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
There was a Sopranos reference there in the end. Though
I appreciate It's.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
Good Listen, Maddie. It was a good call. Like he
hit numerous subjects, he hit a lot of stuff. He's
got thoughts, he's got stuff going on in his head right,
and he wanted the militia to know about it. It's fine,
nothing wrong with that, but uh look, man, he hit
on something that's kind of interesting. And I'll hear this
from time to time about windows closed using that's a

(16:01):
very you know, common thing to think about. Maybe say,
I just think that if you look at the playoff
you know picture right now, it's tailor made for like
a quote unquote window that is closed to be reopened
real fast. And that team that you thought, you know,
the window was closed all of a sudden wins a

(16:23):
Super Bowl, And uh, look, I can't sit here and
tell you at all that the Bills window has closed.
Like I don't think they have the clutch gene at all.
I would not back them to win a Super Bowl.
But that doesn't mean they don't have a chance. It
doesn't mean the window is closed. They still have Josh
Allen as their quarterback. Josh Allen could do some insane

(16:44):
things now. He missed a layup against the Eagles. What
other quarterbacks haven't screwed up before? That means he could.
He never can come through. He's come through many times
in the playoffs. He's come through in big moments right,
So that wasn't Josh Allen on d defense against the
Chiefs when they had to lead with thirteen seconds left.
So I just think we gotta be careful about these

(17:07):
windows are closed. Like I'll hear this with the Lions.
Oh the windows closed. It's like, is it no chance?
Know how they can't regroup, they can't retool. I know
they have a bunch of dudes to pay and they
got to make the contracts work. They might have to
make some tough decisions. But just no chance. The window
is closed like this, They've they've topped out, no chance

(17:30):
going forward. Why would you buy that? I don't buy that. Yeah,
Like you look at some of these teams that you know,
there's a lot of turnover from one year to the next.
There are a lot of new playoff teams. The Niners
good example. The Niners would have been a perfect example

(17:51):
of a team where people could have looked at last
season after they got ravaged by injuries. They're a last
place team and you could have been the windows closed.
Look at them now, the windows closed, like they got
a chance to be the one seed. You can make
dramatic turnarounds in the NFL. I don't know why we would.

(18:13):
I don't know, take a team that's just they're just
trying to start to get right, you know what I mean. Like,
let me take a okay, the Giants right like, they're
three and thirteen, They've had a ton of injuries. They're
just trying to build, trying to get respectable, trying to
take the next step. Right, So we'll look at a

(18:35):
team like that and just be like, yeah, no, give
it a little bit of time. But we'll look at
a team like I don't know, say the Chargers and
Herbert hasn't had postseason success, but they're a much better
team right now and will be much harder greaters when
it comes to those teams in the playoffs in the mix,

(18:56):
and it's like, oh, their window is closed. Look man,
I you can say what you want, you can think
how you want to think. I would just say this,
if you look at the playoffs right now, it is
wide open, wide open. So it's like, I don't know
why you just start marking teams off in pen as

(19:18):
if what next season can't be similar to this season?
Like the Lions window is closed, the Bills window is closed.
I just don't buy that. I don't buy that. I
just don't think the time is right for for you
to say that or to think it. But again, you
can think and say whatever you want. I just don't.
I don't. I don't subscribe to that.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (19:41):
I think there are teams like, look, the Bears were
a grease fire. They're five and twelve last season. Look
at them now, dramatic turnaround. The Niners dead last last season,
they're twelve and four. Like, look at the Chiefs. The
Chiefs won their division nine straight years and they've been

(20:02):
in the Super Bowl five straight years. They're a six
and ten football team right now, and Mahomes started fourteen games. Like,
the NFL is crazy, all right there. It's a parody
driven league. And so like these teams that have a
lot working for them, even teams that just barely missed
out on the playoffs. You know, like I'd be careful,

(20:23):
That's all I would say, is I'd be careful about
just straight up eliminating teams like.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
Lions could finish last in their division. That's crazy, it is.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
But it happened to the Niners last year, and look
at them now, you know, like the Lions had a
murderers row schedule. Their road schedule was insane. Right, they
played a first place schedule. What worked against them this year,
Playing a first place schedule works for them. Next year,

(20:52):
they're gonna play a last place schedule. It's gonna be
Cupcake City for three games. That could be the difference
between making the playoffs and not. That could be the
difference between a higher seed in the playoffs and not.
So playing a last play schedule is a great thing
for Detroit going forward, you know. So, Yeah, I think
we're saying the same thing, Coop, Like, I don't think

(21:14):
we're disagreeing on that, but it is. It's crazy that
they bottomed out and they finished last, but that's gonna
help them next season. They play three last place teams.
Those are their three games, right, That's what a last
play schedule is. It essentially, it directly impacts three games

(21:34):
in particular. Like I'll get you. I do this every
single year. I get their three games. So the Lions
first play schedule this season, Just so we're on the
same page.

Speaker 2 (21:44):
They were.

Speaker 1 (21:46):
Yeah, it's not as tough as you would think, but
still tough at the Chiefs. That was a Sunday night
game in Week six. They lost that game thirty to seventeen.
They hosted Tampa Bay on a Monday night. They beat them,
smack them around. And the other game was at the Rams.
They lost that game recently forty one to thirty four.

(22:07):
Those are three first place games. How would you like
to play at the Chiefs, host Tampa and then play
at the Rams? Or would you rather be the Bears?
Here was the Bears last play schedule. Now it helped
them in two games, not so much the third. So
the Bears last play schedule this season at the Raiders

(22:27):
pretty favorable. They barely won that game. Luckily Daniel Carlson
missed the kick at the end right they would have
lost that game to the Raiders. These Bears then they
played the Saints. They hosted, so they're at the Raiders,
hosted the Saints, and then it was the game on
Sunday Night. It was at San Francisco. That was the

(22:49):
other last place team that they faced. Now, listen, you
can have a team that makes a dramatic turnaround and
what looks like a cupcake game is anything. But that's
what Sunday night was. But which would you rather have?
The Bears last place at the Raiders hosting the Saints
and then at the forty nine ers. That's a tough one.

(23:10):
Or the Lions first place schedule at the Chiefs hosting
Tampa before they bought them. Now that's Week seven when
Tampa was still good, and then at the Rams. Good lord, dude.
A last play schedule is a real thing. That makes
a world of difference right there. Here's the Saints. This
is a good one. Saints last play schedule. They finished

(23:32):
last a season ago, so they're playing a last play
schedule this season. Here's what they faced. They hosted the
Giants at the Bears, well turned around, and then at
the Titans. You got the Giants and the Titans like that.
That's a huge difference right there. Meanwhile, Tampa, who finished
in first place, they're playing a first place schedule this season.

(23:53):
They're three games at the Texans on a Monday night,
hosting the Eagles at the Lions on a Monday night.
That's world's tougher than a last place schedule as the Saint,
So it makes a big difference. So it's crazy the
Lion's bottomed out in their last this season. That's gonna
help them next season. And so like the Oh their

(24:15):
window was closed. Dude, way premature. I hate Jared Goff
when he's facing a pass rush. I don't love that
they have to pay a bunch of dudes. It's a
good problem to have, but it still is a problem
because there's only so much money to go around. With
a hard salary cap, gonna have to let a couple
of players go. But this idea that their window is

(24:36):
closed and just no chance, know how, stop it. Blessed
with better health, their old line is banged up, their
secondary is ravaged, blessed with better health, blessed with a
last play schedule. Their window is not closed. Stop it?
But people think that way. All right? Eight seven, seven

(24:56):
ninety nine on Fox is your number. We are high
and heavy on the NFL. You got other thoughts, feel
free to check in. We'll get to the militia coming
up right around the corner. And also, man the toilet bowl.
It came through in flying colors. It is one thing
that you got to keep in mind going forward. I'll
share that with you. With two horrible teams duking it out.

this song. I'll bore you for like twenty seconds, but
it was when I was introduced to the game Guitar Hero, right,
and I'm like, all right, I love that game, a great,
great game. But I had just played it for the
first time and maybe the only time. It was fun.

(26:49):
But I'm like, all right, the blue the all right? Cool?
And we just played this Queen song on a freaking
loop man, trying to get the hang of it.

Speaker 5 (27:00):
And so I will I will you say on the
same song until you perfect yeah song.

Speaker 1 (27:05):
Yeah, that's right, And so I just it's in my
head it's Freddie Mercury and Queen.

Speaker 5 (27:12):
And that was all easy, wasn't it. You didn't even
do the hard level.

Speaker 1 (27:15):
Right, Yeah, I was just trying to get the general hangings. Yeah,
it was not working out very well. All right, let
me get to the militia here. I want you guys
to feel welcome, so you guys have the floor. Let
me go to Dre in Central Cali. I want to
hear what he has to say about these Niners hunt
Niners big win against the Bears on Sunday night. What's

(27:36):
going on, Dre? You're on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 6 (27:40):
I've just been hanging and banging here at the gym
for last hour listening to you, nice man.

Speaker 1 (27:45):
What are you working on? What are you doing? Like
back in tries? What is it these early morning hours.

Speaker 6 (27:50):
I was turning my shoulders in the boulders and making
these traps, traps huge af.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
Well, that's good man. You're wasting your time if you're
not doing exactly that.

Speaker 6 (28:03):
Well, you know the other day it was with the kids.
Well it was quite a while ago, but we're champing
and we're going the lake and ranger gave me a ticket.
I said, I ain't hunting. He said, well, of them
big ass traps you got on your shoulders right there.
I could Lord, Yeah, yeah, anyway, I gotta agree with

(28:23):
you guys. Niners had the easiest schedule they could probably have,
except they did have to play Seattle. Tie well, they
play Seattle twice this coming week, had to play the
Rams twice, beat them, they ran over to once. Schedule
was a little harder than I thought. But listen, guys, honestly,
you lose Bosa, you lose your first round draft choice.

(28:44):
On the other side, Michael Williams.

Speaker 1 (28:47):
I think his name was, Yeah, no doubt, no.

Speaker 6 (28:49):
Doubt, your all told linebacker goes out Fred water yep
aiming to be back by the NFC Championship Game. If
the Niners are lucky enough to be there. You know,
if the Niners make it to the NFC Championship game,
all I ask is if you win, win the Super Bowl.
Because I'm an old man. I was a senior in

(29:10):
high school in eighty one, so I seen my team
win all five. Then I've seen hardball and not give
the ball to Frank Gore once against the Ravens. I've
seen Shanahan forget how to coach twice against KC. Yeah,
those were darn good Niner teams. This team right here
would be more of a Cinderella story than the eighty

(29:31):
one team. And I'll tell you what everybody deserves. Looks,
any team that's ever won the Super Bowl, they've got
luck because they had help on their side. This team,
they'll be lucky. They can stay as healthy as they
are right now. And I've heard you talk about perty
before and not two good things. You know what. I

(29:54):
think he is starting to prove you wrong. You might
be coming over a little bit, you know, getting out
of the dark side, proving a lot of stuff to
a lot of in the NFL called NFL experts and
pungents me. I'm a homer, so I always thought he
was good, always thought he was great. But greater things
are going to come, so honest assessment. Like you said,

(30:18):
and like everybody said, there's no great team in the
NFL this year, right, why brother, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
Hey man, hey Dre. Listen. I appreciate the call, buddy,
and good luck with the rest of the workout. Very nice.
I'm glad you're you're hanging with us. That's very cool.
And look, man, this is look. I think this is
the year. This is the official year too. I would
love to have these bang the table takes like fade
this team, no way, this team. But it's just wide open.

(30:48):
It is. It's wide open. And you're right. As far
as the Niners, they're to be commended for what they've
done in the regular season. Now the postseason is a
completely separate season. But what the Niners have done to
put themselves in a position they need to win one
more home game and they're the one seed in the
NFC playoffs. With all the injuries, the key injuries, Like listen,

(31:14):
I might have ten injured guys. Your team might have
ten injured guys. It doesn't mean it equals out. It
doesn't mean it's the exact same. When we're talking Nick Bosa,
Fred Warner, we're talking about like the engine and the
transmission of your vehicle on defense, and that is out

(31:36):
and somehow the car has kept running, it has been
functioning at a high level. When they've lost that, that
is astounding. So hats off to them. Now. Could change
come postseason time, right when you have lost that talent
and all of a sudden you've got no pass rush

(31:57):
and you're trying to just match points with tah It
could be tough, could be really really tough. And I
think that we're looking at the one seed even if
they get the one seed. And yes, it is true,
you gotta win two home games and you're in the
super Bowl. But I don't think we can undersell even

(32:17):
how hard that is to do. I think there's a
tendency where it's just a shoulder shrug, like, oh, dude,
you just gotta win two home games. You're there. It's
just a walk in the park. It's like, oh, yeah,
you know, yeah, you just drive to the local gas station.
You might it might be like a little bit windy,
but not too bet. You shouldn't have any problem, you

(32:39):
should be God, just go right there. It's right down
the street. That's all good. Like, that's not what it
is man winning two home playoff games, especially this season.
Like if it's Broncos Niners, I don't know that we're
gonna have a one seed in the super Bowl. I
would bet against both one seeds get there. Honestly, it

(33:01):
doesn't mean it's gonna shake out that way, but when
it's as wide open as it is, I would fade
the Niners in their lack of a pass rush. I
would fade the Broncos in their limited offense. I would
doesn't mean it's gonna work out that way, but if
there's ever a year for neither one seed to make it,
it's this season. It's just wide open like that. And

(33:23):
as far as Perty goes, Yes, Strey has a good memory.
I have said some unsavory things. I've just been I
think i've been I think I've been fair. I haven't
dogged the guy. I'm not he can't play, he sucks,
he's a hack. I ha said anything like that. I'm
just like, he's good. He's not great. He's good. He's

(33:45):
a good player. He's capable of making plays. He can
throw the ball accurately, on time, with anticipation. He does
a lot of things well. He's a decent athlete. He
can move around by time, pick up some yards with
his legs. He can do a lot of things really well.
He can. But to pay him huge money and to

(34:07):
have to skimp at many other positions on the field
on the roster and have him like, all right, brock,
you're that guy. Just take us to the promised Land.
It's gonna take a lot more than beating up on
a suckie Bears defense and a sucky Colts defense to
convince me like, yeah, this guy is the real deal. Man,

(34:28):
I had it wrong again. I don't think he sucks
and he's good. I think he's a good quarterback. I
don't think he's great. I don't think he is an
elite difference maker. I don't and maybe we'll get answers
come playoff time. But he's to be commended. I'm not
trying to rain on the parade, especially after he had
another five touchdown performance. He's had five touchdown performances in

(34:51):
each of the last two weeks. The play he made
buying time and hitting us check in the side of
the end zone. That was an amazing play, whether he's
facing the Bears defense or not. Like those are NFL guys,
they're getting paid out there, like that was an insane play.
So yeah, like maybe the truth is somewhere in the

(35:12):
middle where I'm like, he's good not great, Like then
he makes those plays and it might be a couple
of notches better than I make him out to be.
Maybe I think time will tell on that, but I
think party with with a a lesser roster will put
it that way. So when you when you devote that

(35:33):
much money to a guy and have to skimp elsewhere, man,
sometimes the warks show up really fast. Purdy is better
than my guy Tua, obviously, but look at Tua. It
wasn't that long ago. Tua's leading the league in passing yardage.
To wall put up some numbers and then it's like,
all right, we got to skimp here, we got we

(35:55):
got a key injury to Tyreek Hill there, like, okay,
we gotta trade this guy and cut this guy, and man,
the roster looks a lot different that Tua. Take us
to the Promised Land, buddy, It's like, he's not that guy.
He's not that guy and Purty is better. But I
don't know man skimping over the years when you're devoting

(36:16):
that much money. I just here's the perfect storm man,
last play schedule, and things have gone their way and
they've played really well, But I think the playoffs are
a different animal. Man can't wait for him, can't wait.
Gonna be a lot of good stuff. All right, the
militia is still on deck. We will get to them

(36:37):
right around the corner. And also there's bad logic and
a bad format. I'm gonna get to the bad format
at the top of the hour, but some bad logic
to lead us off right around the corner. I'm probably
no in for Big Ben Mallor. Stay with us right
here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (36:52):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Ben Mallor
Show weekdays at two am Eastern eleven pm Pacific.

Speaker 2 (36:58):
All right, So the core flavor of cheese, it's you've
got original white cheddar cheddar jack. Then you've got buffalo
wing pepper jack, Wow, hot and spicy. Yeah, Hidden Valley Ranch.

Speaker 1 (37:14):
Why why why would you even do that?

Speaker 2 (37:17):
Wendy's Baconator Are you serious?

Speaker 1 (37:20):
They made the Baconator flavor for cheese.

Speaker 2 (37:23):
Its, yes, okay, uh, extra crunchy bowld cheddar, and then
apparently there's a new crunchline flavors like kick and nacho
cheese and zesti jalapeno cheddar.

Speaker 1 (37:34):
By the way, let me derail this for just a second.
We were having an in depth cheese it conversation, but sidebar,
okay for a second, we'll get back to the flavors.
But I was watching it had it was the cheese
It Bowl like a few years ago, and I'll never forget.
Dan Orlovsky was on the call, and because I'm a

(37:56):
big fan of cheese its, and he's like, you know
what the company he told me that the proper way
to say it is cheese it. Like it's not with
an S at the end. It is cheese it. That's
what it is, singular cheese.

Speaker 2 (38:09):
That's true.

Speaker 1 (38:09):
It just sounds wrong that, you know, like I'm eating
cheese it right now. That just sounds stupid. I'm eating
some cheese it's right now. Am I wrong? I like
the S? Am I wrong for adding the S?

Speaker 2 (38:23):
I don't know, No, I mean you're eating multiple cheese
it right.

Speaker 1 (38:32):
Technically it's singular, like it's just okay, whatever, man, you.

Speaker 5 (38:36):
Wouldn't say, passed me the cheese it, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (38:38):
Passed me the cheese it. Someone would send you to
past you one thing he is like, no, dude, the box.
You'd be like, well, say, cheese it's.

Speaker 2 (38:45):
There, right. If the brand was just Dorito, right, you
would still say, hey, let me have some of those Doritos.

Speaker 1 (38:51):
That's right. Yeah, yeah. So uh we found out that
Coop is shaming me. I just had original cheese its,
that's it. And I'm probably missing out on some delicious flavors.
But we've made many comparisons, and we're on two different
pages here with the twenty one different flavors of cheeses.

(39:12):
Is what we have.

Speaker 5 (39:13):
They're almost like Baskin Robins are so close.

Speaker 1 (39:16):
They are close. They got the bacon eater. How about that?

Speaker 5 (39:20):
The ranch sounds interesting? I wanna try the ranch.

Speaker 1 (39:23):
Oh, ranch is disgusting.

Speaker 5 (39:24):
I don't want anything you don't like ranch in regular
life either, not even Oh.

Speaker 2 (39:29):
God, love me a good buttermilk cranch.

Speaker 5 (39:31):
Oh the homemade ones too, oh so good. Hidden Valley
can be thrown away. I don't want that anywhere near.

Speaker 2 (39:37):
That's Trashugh.

Speaker 1 (39:40):
I love when they're like, what are the choices. Is
it ranch or blue cheese. I'm like, yeah, neither, neither one.
Don't want either.

Speaker 2 (39:49):
Good cheeses. Blue cheese is disgusting, but ranches.

Speaker 1 (39:52):
Ranches.

Speaker 2 (39:53):
Dip your pizza in there.

Speaker 5 (39:55):
You need it for everything. French fries, oh, dipped in ranch.
Stop it.

Speaker 1 (40:00):
Guys are psychos. What's wrong with you?

Speaker 2 (40:02):
Guys? Little crispy chicken wrap with some ramps.

Speaker 5 (40:05):
Oh yes, drizzle it.

Speaker 1 (40:08):
My gosh, that sounds terrible. Good segue, bad logic, and
a bad format. Right around the corner on FSR
