We got Rick people coming up in about twenty minutes
with all the latest on the Draymond Green since wation
punching Jordan's punching Jordan Pool at practice after a disagreement,
uh and now potentially Draymond Green is facing some sort
(01:09):
of discipline from the Golden State Warriors. But the conversation
we started a few minutes ago, it looks like Dak
Prescott is not going to play this week for the Cowboys.
He's still not practicing with the team. Trouble gripping the football.
So who was in gripped the football and throw it?
Gave a nerf ball the other day of court Blue
and Silver and you know, so could your thumb and
(01:30):
throw me the ball available in the gift shop. Come
on now in fact that this is gonna be my
President to my Christmas President holiday present for all the
Cowboys families. It's gonna be a Cowboy nerf football. Everybody
gets one to bring up. Uh. So it doesn't look
like Dak is gonna play this week because Mike McCarthy
said we want him to have a full week of
(01:50):
practice before he comes back. That's obviously not gonna happen.
You're talking about tomorrow being Thursday. So it looks like
it's gonna be Cooper Rush. Well, since you've won that
last game, right, yeah, it's three to our Carson Went
and company. There's no rush to get him back on.
It's the absolute right Carse t J. No rush to
take Rush out of the game, saying Rush Rush by
(02:11):
Paul Hurry Hurry love WI come to me, rush, rush,
What you do to me never takes up and down,
turn my stomach all around. Oh baby, oh baby, I
want to see. I want to run, I want to try.
I want to take this love right to you. Overheart,
(02:31):
over joyed. Oh baby, baby, please rush rush. Uh Canna
Reeves in that video, yes he was. It was like
a rebel without a cause video and Canna Reeves, isn't
it Yeah? Uh so, No worry about making the movies.
You don't have to write. You have to worry about
rushing him back because Dad's there, okay, And while things
are going great, the dark side for the Cowboys is
(02:54):
when Dad comes back because he's going to get the
job right away for all this, Oh keep Cooper rut,
just stop right. That's getting forty million dollars a year.
He's the quarterback. Doc is a really good quarterback. He'll
get the gig. But the dark side is if the
Cowboys lose their mojo and they don't play as well,
this turns into an Eagles Carson Wentz nick Fole situation
(03:18):
where why does a team play better under Cooper Rush
than they do under Dak Prescott And the answer is
it doesn't matter and the Cowboys are faced with a
franchise altering decision about six weeks. Do we stick with
that even though it's not working when we knew Cooper
Rush was working earlier and it may not just be
all Doc but we but the team by and large
(03:39):
was all buttoned down and was more focused and was
able to execute their jobs better for whatever reason, what
do we do? Do we make that decision? Do we
actually go away from Dak Prescott, which means you'd probably
go away from Dak Prescott forever. Um, I'll tell you what, Mike,
I can make a pretty good argument why you would
move on and make that big change if you had
(04:02):
to write. So, let's moving on from Dak. Moving on
from Dak right for Cooper Rush, who has been carried
by his defense right, exactly exactly. But but follow me
on this pause. What did we what? What's always been
with the Dallas Cowboys? Their roster has been too thin.
The roster has always been too thin, and they don't
(04:22):
have enough money. Look, they're paying three offensive linemen all
kinds of cash and it just doesn't work right. You
want to get out of Ezekiel Elliott's contract. Too late?
You decided to pay him. You gotta own it. How
do you get better? You have to free up money.
If they're winning games under Cooper Rush and they're not
under Dak Prescott. What's the fastest way to free up
(04:44):
a ton of cash to make the team better? Because
if the Cowboys play well under Cooper Rush, you can
easily convince yourself that, you know what, this team is
pretty good. Our defense is pretty good, our offense is
pretty good. Now, maybe we need a little upgrade at
running back, maybe we need we can we can sign
to their offensive line, and maybe we can we can
sign to the defensive tackle. Whatever it is. We got
(05:05):
forty million dollars next year that we'll be able to
solidify a lot of holes on and suddenly maybe the
Dallas Cowboys are back being a Super Bowl contender. So
if we move on and move over to Cooper Rush,
and it's a it's an ugly last five or six
weeks of the season because Cooper Rush is playing and
Dac isn't, and it's questions about Doc, will you still
(05:27):
be here next year? Are you're gonna play? Are you not?
It could get ugly if the Cowboys don't get back
to winning. But in the off season, the Cowboys get
that fresh look and they say, all right, we gave
Dak a lot of money, but we saw that we
didn't need him to win, all right, So what do
we do? We stick with Cooper Rush. There's a lot
of quarterbacks in this draft we can get. We trade
(05:48):
Dak Prescott. We free ourselves up of a lot of money,
and guess what what are you gonna get back in
that deal? Draft picks gonna get at least a couple
of number ones, maybe three. Number one's couple of number
ones and number two you're gonna you're you could get
a player, and well, you would get a lot for
Dak Prescott. Teams like the Patriots said that need a
quarterback so badly would call for maybe the Texans would call.
(06:11):
There's lots of teams that would say, hey, yeah, yeah
we want Dak. We want with Dak is pretty good.
Let's yeah, yeah, We're gonna give you here's what you
need for Dak. And suddenly the Cowboys are on a
precipice of winning that they weren't at before because they
were able to free up that money and move on
from Dak. That the one thing they have seen they
have shown by Dak getting hurt is that when you
(06:32):
lose your quarterback, it's not all doom and gloom. They
lost Dak Prescott, you thought this is gonna be it
for the cow They're gonna be oh and four, they're
gonna say. The question is gonna be do we draft
Bryce Young or do or do we trade the number
one pick? And now here they are three and one,
feeling great and they've seen that we can get along
pretty well without Dak Prescott. That's an easy conversation to have,
(06:54):
especially since you know the Cowboys are kicked it around
a bit. We talked about Jerry Jones a few minutes
ago saying, hey, if Cooper Rush is winning games when
Dad comes back, that's a controversy I'd love to have.
So you know, what's something they're open to. And with
every week that goes by, that Cooper Rush wins and
the Cowboys play well, and it doesn't matter if Cooper
Rush throws for five touchdowns or one touchdown, if the
(07:15):
running backs are running, if the if the receivers are
catching enough passes, if the defense is playing well, that's
one more week where they think maybe we don't need Deck,
maybe we can move on and we can go with
Cooper Rush and still draft a guy. I'm not saying
you say, hey, here, Cooper Rush, here's two years and
fifty million dollars. No, no no, no, you're Cooper Rushing. You
draft a guy because you just don't know, and you
(07:37):
make sure you get somebody that's a really good prospect.
You don't just take somebody in the sixth round and think, oh,
we'll go the next Tom Brady. No, you do, you
do right, the right thing, and you go get get
draft that quarterback. But uh, that's a pretty easy argument
to make for the Cowboys moving on from Dak Prescott. Yeah.
I don't know how how simple that is. And I'm
not a Cooper Rush at this point when it comes
(08:00):
down to it. Uh, this is a guy that was
a practice squad guy on the thirty August for a reason,
and he's acquitted himself just fine. Micah Parsons and a
defensive played lights out football thus far. Uh, and your opponents,
you gotta win all the games that are on the schedule.
I get that. Uh. They took advantage of a week
(08:23):
too opportunity against the Bangles and terrorize Joe Burrow, who
had his own comments today that started to go viral
on the podcast he does with Colin Goward Our very
own um talking about concussions and all of that. But
he's been a punching bag. So that's your first win.
The second win is the Giants, who, while they had
(08:44):
a nice record and they have a nice record, heading
to London as one of the uh one of the
components of the first all winners game being exported to England.
Anybody really excited about the Giants? Anybody? Anybody except for
se Kwan arkly Fantasy owners, Yes, those are very very
If you had him in the Dynasty League and you've
held on to him for this long, congratulations you finally
(09:07):
got your reward or you had you know, the guts,
the insanity, whatever word you want to use to say, Hey,
I'm taking this guy in the first round because if
he's healthy, then yeah, he's one of those few bell
cows that are remaining. And right now he's been fantastic.
But you go when you win that game, because are
you really trusting that passing game? Look at all the money.
You're talking about a bad operation of constructing a roster. Now,
(09:30):
Goladay is not gonna play this week. He's hurt, but
you're talking seventy two million dollars that you burned. Uh.
And then your your guy can't can't get on the field. Uh, tony,
so that that ain't working out either. And then you
get Washington once again the turnstyle offensive line. Carson Wentz
throwing from his back. Uh. So you win that three
(09:52):
and one. You're feeling good and you're fortunate, and he's
doing exactly what he needs to, completing sixty of his passes.
His Cooper, Cooper Rush, get Gallop and Schultz coming back
healthy and right now, Zeke's under four yards a carry.
Need to find a little bit more pop in that
old line. But tell tell me they're not that much
(10:13):
better with dad. Is it a forty million dollars worth? Well,
you you signed the deal. You don't get out of that.
But to suddenly think, all right, Cooper Rush could be
this guy, No, I want to I want to go
see him, you know, be the man and and dominate
because placeholders aren't winning you titles in the National Football League. Um, well,
(10:35):
you have your occasional guys and we can They're they're
literally throughout history. Look, Jimmy Garoppolo got to the NFC
Champion of Game last year and got to a Jimmy's Elite.
I mean that, guys, But but he's a guy that
you've got a track record. You know what he is
with Shanahan, you know what he can be, and you
know what you have to run the offense right now,
it's the all right, what do we got Cooper rush? Hey,
just don't turn the ball over? Okay, that's all we're
(10:58):
asking you to do. And thus far he's on that.
And now you got a Rams team that's wounded. They
stink at least through four weeks of play. And then
you're on the road at Philadelphia, where you can really
get punched in the mouth and knocked out pretty fast.
Except the defense. You're you're hoping that they can cling
and keep you around. Then you get the Lions and Bears.
(11:20):
So before your bye week, which we know the Lions
offense is fine, we'll see them against the Dallas d
and the Bears are the Bears. I did an hour
rant on a Chicago podcast. I feel like it was
a therapy session because it timed out like right just
about an hour, like should I get off the couch? Now?
What should we do? Uh? And and we moved on.
(11:40):
But Cooper Rush the only thing I guess I can
look into Dek Prescott's contract and say they have an
out after next year, So maybe that avails you to
someone bringing him in where they can renegotiate that down
so their cap isn't as is large, and then extend
from there. But again, Cooper Rush man, he was he
(12:02):
was there for what three four years, then was off
and then came back this year to the practice squad
before getting elevated. I think you know you want to
crown him. You can crown him. Oh no, this is
this is not just about Cooper Rush. This is seeing
that with Dak, we thought that's what we needed to win,
(12:23):
But now we've seen we might not need Dak. We
can win with somebody else. And Cooper Rush could be anybody, right,
could be you have one with you so far. Let's
let's give Dak. Dack is a really good quarterback, right
the guy through thirty seven touchdowns last year. Guys really good.
He's getting better every year. But this is not about
(12:44):
just Cooper Rush is the savior. This is more about, Hey,
we thought we needed Dak to win, Maybe now we don't.
And if it's Cooper Rush. Great, but we'll draft a quarterback,
or maybe we'll go sign Jimmy Garoppolo in the off season.
Whatever it is is we can win with somebody else
and we can free up that money and get draft
(13:05):
picks and sign other players, and oh, suddenly the Dallas
Cowboys are back. Maybe we're going out getting a running back.
Maybe we were training for Christian McCaffrey at the deadline.
Maybe that's what we're doing, and suddenly the Cowboys are back.
It's it's more about what they've seen without Dak Prescott.
Then oh hey, Cooper Rush came in and did this,
because this is not oh hey Cooper Rush versus Dak Prescott,
(13:27):
just an absolute like like Dak got hurt and Cooper
Rush has come in and boy, he's got eleven touchdowns
in the first three games. That's really good. Man. He's
thrown for a thousand yards in the last three weeks. No,
he's not the guy. The guy is a placeholder. He's
kind of like a Jimmy Garoppolo kind of player. And
as you've seen, yeah, you can win with players like
that when the rest of your team is pretty good.
Guess what the rest of the Cowboys team is pretty good.
(13:49):
They'd be even better being able to fill some holes
they have with the money they would use up from
not having to pay dec And if you draft that
rookie quarterback and you are going forward him, guess what,
he's on a rookie deal for a while, and you
open up that window to winning. Like I said, it's
it's it's not a difficult conversation to have about if
(14:09):
this happens. If the Cowboys don't play well under deck,
that's something you gotta look at and say, Okay, are
we still doing the right Is this still the best thing?
You gotta ask yourself is this good for the company?
I have two things for you off that number one.
Number One, um, when have the Cowboys really figured out,
(14:29):
other than actually making money, what's good for the company
as related to the on field product. One that's been
a long time. Two One, owner is helping Jerry Jones
out of a jam. Well, you're not get out of
a jam. You're getting Dak Prescott. No no, no, no, no
no no. But in terms of if you think that
the largest of his contract holds them back in some way,
(14:53):
shape or form, and you're gonna have to give up
considerable assets to bring him in. Do you decide that
it's worth it with that kind of dollar amount attached.
I don't know that you're giving up you're giving up
draft picks. You're not giving up player. It's not like, well,
hey we're gonna get the rights to Sean Payton and
we're gonna get no. I mean, you're getting a really,
really good quarterback that you need. And there's lots of tea.
(15:13):
I would always rather rather have the player myself, but
as we know in the NFL, most teams are not
that way. The picks, I mean like depending on where
you fit, got scratchers. Yeah, suddenly it's a big Knicks giveaway,
be a billion dollars if you if you don't get
(15:34):
one of the top two picks, well you're gonna need
a quarterback. Right in. Atlanta is gonna need a quarterback.
Caroline is gonna need a quarterback, a quarterback. Maybe Tampa's
gonna need a quarterback, right you know, all these teams
are gonna do you know, Seattle may decide, hey, we
love Geno Smith, but they're gonna wind up needing that
are gonna need a quarterback after this year? And yeah,
they would they would jump up to the forefront to
(15:55):
go get Dak Prescott. Yeah, we'll give up draft picks
to Jerry Jones. Okay, great, We're getting a really good
quarterback that we need that. I don't see that as
being an issue. That watched the Jetil trades Zach Wilson
for Dak Prescott. Just want be sure to catch live

The Jason Smith Show with My best friend Mike Harmon
(16:20):
Shark or something. Maybe that's what Jordan Pool said to
Draymond Green. That's what caused Draymond Green to go, that
would get that At this point, it's been used enough
that might might get you, That might get you over
the top. That's why I would punch tie shirt plays
that one more time. Wait, he just brought back LaVar
(16:40):
ball though, I mean that was about surprise. Draymond Green
threw a punch at Jordan's Pool at practice on Wednesday.
The two players had been verbally sparring prior to some
pushing this. According to Adrian Morjanowski of VSPN, this escalated
when Green took a swing, made contact act with Pool.
(17:01):
They had to be separated. Draymond Green supposedly was very
apologetic after the incident. Pool was okay. He was actually
able to finish his workout and then go home. But
now the Warriors are looking at disciplinary action for Draymond Green.
Joining us now on the hotline no one better than
Fox Sports one NBA insider extraordinary. You can follow him
(17:23):
on Twitter at Rick Buker, That is at Rick Buker.
And I heard that the reason behind this, Rick was
they were fighting over who got to be in the
next on the Ball podcast with you, and that's what
the source of all of this was. Come on, you
know the truth is that they were fighting over getting
on a podcast. Who was going to be on first?
(17:45):
But it was that Buker's podcast. Not lying, Come on
you you were just trying to throw me a bone,
and I appreciate it, but we all know the truth. No, honestly,
uh this, I'm surprised that this happened and may may
have and we just didn't hear about it. I the
(18:07):
Draymond and Jordan's have had a have had some choice
words over the last I mean through throughout last season.
I don't want to make it out like these guys
were at each other's throats all the time. But um,
what I was told was that Andre Aguadala and Draymond
(18:27):
Green played good cop, bad cop when it came to
Jordan Pool in particular. And Jordan does not play a
whole lot of defense and does not seem to be
particularly devoted to playing a whole lot of defense, and
that obviously is Draymond Green's domain. So I don't know
(18:49):
exactly what precipitated UH today's event, but I would say
that it does It does not surprise me at all
all that this would happen. Um, you know, Draymond taking
a swing. There's some other things going on with Draymond,
you know, in terms of where he is and where
(19:09):
he is with the team, that the tension is probably
a little higher than normal for him. So I get
it all and um, and we'll just see where it goes.
The beauty of the Golden State Warriors has been that
they've had things like this bubble up in even in
their previous iteration, and they've always found a way not
(19:30):
to let it get in their way when it comes
to winning a championship. So we will see where this
relationship goes. But short answer, not the least bit surprised.
Would be surprised if this is the first time that
they uh, they got into something as heated as this. Well,
the thing about this rick is that in I'm not
(19:54):
saying today was the last straw, but the Warriors have
big time decisions to make four big players, right. Jordan
Pool is getting a big contract extension, Andrew Wiggins, right,
and every Clay has got to get another one. And
here's Draymond who's got one more year and he can
opt in after this year. Um, I don't know if
today wasn't the last uh Bestigent said Okay, maybe Draymond
(20:19):
is the guy we let go and this is Draymond's
last year with Golden State before they move on. Because
the other guys you want to bring in are a
little bit younger, a little bit more dynamic. Draymond's not
the player he was. This might be that the day
where the Warriors say, okay, now we got to go
to our Draymond Green exit strategy. I wouldn't. I wouldn't
read it that way. I wouldn't read that because Draymond
(20:40):
is now taking swings of teammates, he's become you know,
just uh just not uh in chemistry. The chemistry just
isn't good with with Draymond. There's we need to move
on from him because he's uh, he's spoiling things or
he's disrupting things. That's he's gone overboard when comes to that. UM,
(21:01):
I do think you're right in that if they are
going to let somebody go, he is probably the the
likeliest choice because of his age and everything else. But
he's also you know, they're they're looking at Jonathan Cominga
and James Wiseman and they really don't have one another
(21:25):
player who can be the backbone of their defense. Andrew
Wiggins is a great defender, arguably their best defender in
the playoffs last year, but he's not the guy who's
going to organize your defense. He's not going to be
the backbone. And that's where finding a way too. Can
(21:46):
we replace can we live without Draymond? Do we have
enough quality defenders that they can collectively make up for
the i Q that we we would be losing and
the big moment ability to to stop or make a play.
That's the question that they have. And I would actually
say that while You certainly don't want him taking swings
(22:08):
a teammates, and you don't want him going overboard, and
you probably don't want him getting into shouting matches with
Steve Kerr in the locker room. But take away Draymond
Green and all that energy, and what do you have,
like who becomes the guy who is the fire starter
(22:30):
for this team? They're all much quieter personality. I mean,
there's there's no you know, there's nobody even in the
middle that I can think of that bridges the gap.
And that's the other danger. And that's why I think
that they accept that he's going to go overboard now
and then because they like the fact that he's the
(22:52):
guy that pushes their meter to the red when it
needs to, because they don't really have anybody else capable
of doing that. Yeah. I like the fact that he's
all in already, Rick, I mean, there's no rap up period,
let's go, We're gonna fight already. So and then you
got that going for you Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean
it might be a little early, it might be a
little early. Um And and maybe we'd like to show
(23:15):
that ferocity with you know, the opposition and not her teammates.
But yeah, you know, let's light the fire now. Why not?
I will say this, I would rather have this than
then Anthony Davis can't play in the first preseason game
because he's back issue. Like, I mean, at least there's
(23:37):
a fight going on here. At least there's something going on. Um. Yeah,
but Ricky's the chance they just wanted. It should be
a little bit of honeypoon when we first get you
start playing a couple of games. No, you know what,
I think it's exact Well, yeah, I mean, look at
the Los Angeles Rams. They're on a honeymoon. How are
(23:59):
they doing? Like, I'd rather have the guys that are
angry and spinning fire because damn it, we gotta do
this again. Oh my god, we gotta do this again.
At the very beginning, Jordan pulled play some defense. Damn it.
I'm down with that. I'm completely down with that, as
(24:21):
opposed to, Hey, Jordan, take your time. We're not gonna
need you to play some defense until April or May. Um.
I'm with the former, not the latter. The dramatic reenactment voiced,
of course, by Rick Buker at Rick Buker where you
find him on Twitter. FS one analyst, the on the
Ball podcast, the No Filter Network ambassador and a part
(24:44):
time pianist. That's where you find him. Uh and and
get all the goodness there. Well, you mentioned Anthony Davis
not playing and and I know around Los Angeles in
addition to celebrating the Dodgers hundred eleven wins, became a
lot of heads going the other way to uh, you know,
just shaking their heads once again because here we are.
But we did get Kauai and Zion back on the court.
(25:07):
So the NBA looking up in terms of star power
and and Zion at least for the moment, I'll look
and spry against the Bulls a night ago. He he is,
and I hope he stays healthy. I hope he stays
on the court. Um, I don't want to be I
don't know. Zion is a fascinating character just because he
(25:29):
needs to develop the rest of his game, regardless of
whether he's in shape or whatever. Attacking the rim in
and of itself is going to create great numbers. And
I want to see him with C. D. McCullum and
these and these other pieces. But man, I just you
(25:49):
know from the reports that I have like and and
what we saw, you know the video clips that we've seen,
do we Is there anything? Is there anything that resemble
is a jump shot to this point? Is there anything
that would suggest that he can score outside of four feet? Now,
anybody wants to say inside of four feet, there may
(26:09):
not there. There may not be anybody who's more dynamic
and able to score in the league. You get no
argument for me. Probably so, But if he's going and
I guess this is the thing for me, people may
be confused listening to hearing me say this. It's because
when I see a guy flashing the physical capability and
(26:32):
potential that Zion has, I want more. And when I
look at what the New Orleans Pelicans did at the
end of last season without him, and I think, Okay,
you're gonna add him to the mix, and yeah, you
gotta figure it out with Brandon Ingram And but I
want I want more. Like, Okay, Zion, you tease me.
(26:54):
It's a little bit like Janice Johannae teased us. And
then he's worked to develop his game and add other things,
and that's a thing to behold. Like I want that
same thing for Zion. And what concerns me a little
bit is. I'm not. I'm not seeing the urgency to
add those other parts of his game. And no, I'm
(27:15):
not going to be somebody who's just gonna be satisfied
to watch Zion dunk on everybody, because if he's going
to make the most of what he's capable of. And
how cool would it be for the New Orleans Pelicans
to be title contenders? I think that would just be
so cool. Pelicate Pelicans in the in the Grizzlies in
the Western Conference Finals. How awesome would that? Don't be
(27:41):
don't be big time radio guy who has to have
New York in l A or some major market in there.
Are you joke? Are you? Are you being serious? We're serious?
For the for the good of the game. Are you
kidding me? There's two guys at the head of it.
I think Memphis is going to the finals this year.
Oh well, you know what I really really? Oh yeah, look,
(28:05):
look well he's saying he's just going to knock fools
out one afternother. I appreciate I appreciate that you guys
appreciate both John z Ion and what a show that
would be. I thought you were joking. I thought you
were going the Oh Yeah, the NBA would love to
(28:26):
see Memphis in New Orleans to like that, that would
be unbelievable. Dude, I love Memphis this year. Yeah, No,
I'm with you. Actually, I'm I wish I could be
as enthusiastic about Memphis because I'm enthusiastic about Jaw. But
I think they lost a couple of pieces, some important pieces,
(28:48):
quite at least some important pieces, and I wouldn't be
surprised if they take a step back uh this year
and then next year take that leap, because I just
I think that Kyle Anderson and trying to think the
other piece that they met, they lost a couple of
guys that I thought were instrumental to them. And the
(29:09):
one thing that they are missing is who's that veteran
guy who's been there before to show them how to
get there. I loved what I saw with joh I
saw John John. You know a lot of guys go
to the vets and and the Stars go to Vegas
to watch their Summer League teams. John Morant went to
Salt Lake City and he was there for every one
(29:32):
of their games, sitting courtside there at the beginning of
the game and there till the end and talking to guys.
I loved all of that. I love the leadership I'm
seeing from him. But he's still he's never been there,
and I wish that they just had and and andre
Iguadolla type, you know, a couple of veterans who have
(29:55):
been through, been through the wars, have been deep into
the play off to give the Memphis Grizzly a sense
of how to get there, because otherwise I think they're
gonna have to learn on their own. And I think
they're still I think they still have the training wheels on.

are these NFL stories I'm going to bring you in
the next five minutes. I just enjoy the fact that
(31:49):
Ty Shirt is now just screaming like caffeine or sugar
or whatever's kicked in he was on the past. Even
what do I mean? I don't know. Let's go uh
uh bizarre NFL story number one. Remember when the two
a tongue of iloa. The investigation was announced that the
(32:12):
NFL and flp A was gonna look into why did
he get back on the field after that concussion? And
I said, let's see what kind of investigation we actually
get to this before we start saying, oh, hey, this
is gonna be a real thing. We're gonna we're going
to blow the lid off of players getting back on
(32:32):
the field. I said, let's just wait and see how
this actually goes. Well, you did have a fall guy,
you have a complete on your investigation, but you decided
you didn't like his attitude enough to he kind of
smarted off at us, and we didn't like him. No,
and I don't like you, and I don't like you,
and you and you, Lieutenant bier No, I don't like
(32:54):
any of that. No, no, no, no no. But the
NFL is pushing for the investigation into the handling of
too his injuries to be wrapped up prior to tomorrow's
game between the Colts and the Broncos. So you tell
me what kind of investigation are we going to get
Where the NFL is saying, hey, let's wrap this thing
up by tomorrow, Are we really gonna find out what
(33:17):
happened or are we really gonna get Hey the Dolphins
let him back on the field with X, Y and Z,
or is it going to be Oh they fired the
independent doctor. That's enough. Yeah, we're getting it. Looks like
we're getting that sham kind of NFL investigation where yeah,
let's just wrap it up fast. I told you gotta
wait and see, wait and see what kind of investigation
we're gonna get. It's gonna be a real one or
is it gonna be? Uh, it's done. It's covered up,
(33:39):
and we're gonna make our announcements and move on. And
we're moving on by tomorrow. When you when you add
everything up, Jay said, and I'm pursuing TWA went in
and told told the investigators the same thing. Well, I
had a back injury, right, that's going back to last
week for those that you know, they tried to OPU
skate and you had a lot of it for an information.
(34:01):
Yet people that cover the team, that were carrying water
for the team kept showing up on my timeline no
matter how many people I blocked and removed and whatever.
It's like it's like a horror movie. He's like, get
out of my timeline already and trying to sell me
your nonsense. Guys make mistakes, Guys get pressured, guys, women
both whatever the positions are. And in this case, it's
(34:23):
trying to get a quarterback back on a guy who
was probably doing his best sell job to get back
on the field because he's enjoying a great run, he's
got a coach that believes in him, and all those
things that we talked about last week. Also to the
point of if he didn't have a head injury, which
is what they're contending from last Sunday, right, he wasn't
in protocol. He was getting checked for his back, but
he was getting checked for a head injury because they
(34:45):
said he didn't have one. Right, So coming out later
and saying, well, you know he he had been checked
all week and like for the back, right, because that's
that's what you said. If you're trying to tell me
now he he passed all concussion protocols and such. So
somewhere in the you get caught in a lie. Uh,
And so to wrap it up before kick off tomorrow,
(35:05):
I'm not shocked at all. It's exactly from the NFL.
You got one guy fired, someone will get it monished.
There'll be another fine Stephen Ross and whoever the hell
is running day to day over there. For the moment,
Mike McDaniel is going to have to think about his
words better and not use things like just a concussion
(35:27):
like he did the other day, which I think he
kind of since everybody was in the point of previewing
the weekend's games, he kind of got away with that
at the back end of the talking points because we
were still worried about the front end and what happened
in Buffalo. By the way, Buffalo Bills fans are the best.
They've donated tons of money to to his charity. There
(35:48):
you go, that's great stuff. Awesome stuff. Sham. Investigation sham. Now,
speaking of investigations, remember the fan who got laid out
by Bobby Wagner on Monday Night football. The fan ran
onto the field is filing a police report against Bobby Wagger.
This is the guy that ran out, let out pink smoke.
It was a protest. Bobby Wagner laid him out, and
(36:10):
now he's filing a report against Bobby Wagger. So in
the illegal thing that I did, I got hit. So
now I'm finally a report against this guy. Come on, man, really,
it's I broke into your house and I slipped on
your steps because they were slippery. So I'm suing you
because those steps weren't safe. Well, that's damn right. You
(36:32):
didn't look out for me. Uh look, Bobby Wagner very
easily just says a self defense. I don't know what
was in his hands. Those things are smoking. He's running
out on the field. That's not his domain, right. He
broke all sorts of security protocols to get there, and
I helped security out. You can see anybody here. I
should be able to do illegal things and get away
(36:54):
with it. I'll tell you that much. Coming up next,
we get back into the biggest NBA story of the night.
