(00:23):
Smith Show with Mike Harmon on Fox Sports Radio. Greetings
and welcome inside The Jason Smith Show with my best
friend Mike Harmon. This paper the radist sports night in
the history of Philadelphia. I may talk like this for
the entire show. I think I might go home. We
have t NF, we have the World Series, we have

(00:43):
lots of things happening Right now. I'm gonna go to Wildwah.
Maybe you should have done the show from their remote show.
Get on the show and had hogis and give it
away HOGI should have done it from Walwah on his
National Sandwich Days, so that would have been appropriate. It is.
I'll tell you a National Sandwich Day has nothing to
sneeze that you gotta have a sandwich on National Sandwich Day. No,
I feel like I'm gonna need to order a sandwich.
But uh, you know, I'm still waiting on the payment

(01:05):
of that bet from a few weeks ago. Um, so
I'll have to supply my own. Hey, I'll see it. Hell, hey,
it's fourteen your wait, wait coming up, bait? Wait wait?
Who was it that fronted the money to the saga
for our World cup pool? That was me? When you
would you said, oh about you turned out your pockets
like Carrie Cash. Who wasn't that front? I mean, and

(01:29):
this is like a five. I also didn't expect that
Steve to be stalking us for for money. And within
minutes of announcing this thing existed. That really turned over fast.
You know. There was there was one person that opened
the wall and said, hey, here you go, Steve, here's
money for Harmon in my entrance. I will. I will
graciously pay for my best friend, you will. It was

(01:54):
the sandwich bet. This was a this this, this event
doesn't even start for a couple of weeks. I got
plenty of time to pay. Mike. I told you that
day you'll never bleep in. That's a fair point. It's
fair point. But you're saying that was because it was
a specific It was a sandwich specific bet that we
made because it would be a sandwich paying off a wager,

(02:14):
which means that sandwich would taste that much better. An
A sandwich becomes an A plus sandwich. It's like extra credit,
which I have never understood that concept. Hey, you answered
everything right, but because you turned it in five minutes early,
I'm going to give you a bonus five. But that
would entail Jason spending money. If so, that's not happening, Well,

(02:35):
I mean he did. He did pay Steve for our
entry and he really picked some great teams for it.
So so Frostburg can get in. Harmon and I will
share a team so you could get in. I mean,
we do have Brazil, the United States and Germany and
the so I mean, I'm feeling I don't know about
the United States side of it, but they'll be interesting
to watch and I have some rooting interests for sure.

(02:57):
We're broadcasting live the tirect dot com studios. Hirect dot
com will help you get there and unmatched selection, fast

Tire ract dot com The Way Tire buying. So this
is a peak Philadelphia moment and in true Philadelphia fashion,
Nick can go either way. You're talking about fashion in

(03:18):
both games. We've got some bold statements. It's not taking it.
You got this is this is late fall. Now we're
past Labor Day. You can wait. Listen, you wear the
Eagles jersey. That's Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday. Phillies is Monday, Wednesday, Friday,
Sunday is a free frault. Whatever you want. Maybe Flyers
be able to Philadelphia Union if they beat the l
a FC team this weekend. You know you could happen

(03:39):
right now. In the World Series, top of the sixth inning,
the Astros lead the Philadelphia Phillies two to one. Noah
Synderguard giving up two runs in three innings. Justin Verlander
five innings, one run so far, so good for Verlander. Meanwhile,
for the Eagles, they are tied with the Texans fourteen

(04:01):
four teen midway through the third quarter. But Eagles are
in business. Davis Mills just through a really bad interception,
just floated one over the middle of the field. It
has picked off tipped, I mean, because that was it
was like a knuckleball. No, he just thought it was awful. Yeah, yeah,
I know that the rush stepped in and then through

(04:23):
a flutterball stop. If it was a Zach Wilson pick,
it would have been directly to a member of the
other time. This is an athletic play that had to
be yes. But that's the thing. It just erased everything
Mills had done. He'd been really good. Pearce had been
running really well. I think on the broadcast they've said
nineties seven times. How many? Uh, well, he he runs

(04:47):
after contact that he only gets, you know, points seven
yards before someone touches him on average, which is really
kind of frightening. That's some terrible offensive line play. But
we could deal with that. But he got a fourteen
word team game love. Smith's defense has come to play.
Except for that a team play drive that was really
something of beauty. But those beautiful red uniforms and a

(05:09):
lot of Eagles fans in attendance. So, uh, all the
Eagles touchdown Philadelphia a J. Brown. You know, he was
such a great trade getting a J. Brown. He was
the guy we needed. Jalen Hurts. Now he's gonna win
m V. That's two touchdowns for Jalen Hurts tonight. He's
gonna win the m v p U four a twenty
yard touchdown throw Jalen Hurts makes it to Brown and

(05:30):
make it again a six point lead by the Eagles.
He is now the leading receiver on the night for Philadelphia.
So it's tough because if you're if you're in Philadelphi, right,
you're watching like both games on a splits, right, You're
not not watching. I'm only gonna watch the world too.
I bet you every family has gone out and bought
a second television, put it in the middle of their
living room, and I'm watching two watching two TV tonights.

(05:51):
What we're doing well, I mean it's a multi screen experience.
I mean the game being on Amazon Prime. Uh that
you can you know, bust out your tablets and all
of course broadcast to the home markets, so you've got
the game on locally there in Philly. I'd be curious
how many medical device companies took advantage of this to
test the new heart monitors and everything else. This is

(06:15):
this is awful. I didn't I'm spiking everywhere, you know,
I just what I feel like. We get a touchdown here,
Syndergard gives up a home run. I don't know what
to do I have time, I go back and forth.
We can't have both things happening our way. It's very
difficult expletives per minutes, you know, if you're monitoring the
vocal output. I mean, there's a lot of ways to measure.

(06:36):
I also feel like, you know, and to be honest,
I also feel like sometimes I get into a Doctor
Evil area with my Philadelphia no it definitely yes, I
gets it gets very from deep Delaware into no no no,
but frow for bussing. I mean it kind of it's weird,
but it's very very similar. I feel. I I can tell, okay,
I'm in too much Dr Evil territory. Now I gotta

(06:58):
dial it back a little bit. And that's okay. The
more you do it, the more you you dip in there.
And and since it was outside of appearances and Amsterdam
and some bit rolls the and Bohemian Rhapsody, no one
will ever uh listen to a seven minute song Bohemian
Rhapsody outside of those bid appearances. It's really you know,

(07:20):
the the early Dr Evil was about as good as
a guy from Mike Myers. So and that's been a minute.

Series end Thursday Night Football as the evening progresses, But
a huge story comes down in the NBA today as
Kyrie Irving is suspended by the Brooklyn Nets for at
least five games without pay. The Nets very upset after

(08:05):
a press conference on Thursday where Kyrie Irving was asked
to say that you hold no anti Semitic beliefs, and
Kyrie Irving would not say that. He said, I can't
be anti Semitic if I know where I come from.
Uh dude, you're asked if you are anti Semitic. Kyrie
all of this because he tweeted out a a like
and a retweet of a video of a documentary on

(08:26):
Amazon that traffics in a lot of conspiracy theory and
basically says the Holocaust was made up. So this is
where Kyrie Irving has been for the last week, and
the Nets have given him every opportunity to try to
tamp this down to disastrous press conferences. And so now
the NETS say he is suspended. He is currently unfit

(08:46):
to be associated with the Brooklyn Nets right now. There's
a lot of things to take out of this. I
want to give give you some things that that maybe
you haven't heard about today. You know that you haven't
heard a bunch of different times about Kyrie Irving. Um,
this is this is why the Nets need to part
ways with him and and cut the chord with him,

(09:06):
and he needs that. They need to either wave him,
buy him out, or something. Because just take this for
just just take it this for for for example, Kyrie
Irving has been doing this for a while now, and
it's almost like it's a game for him. I'm gonna
do a press conference. I'm not gonna say what you
think I'm gonna say. I'm gonna dare you to continue
on with this conversation about me. Okay, that was that
went bad. Let's do it again. Okay, all right, I'm

(09:28):
gonna give five grand the Anti Defamation League. Uh, can
you say you're not you don't have anti Semitic police. Nope,
it's like it's a game for him, and it's like
he he doesn't care. And look, I'm gonna say this,
I don't care. I don't care. I'm gonna say this.
Kyrie Irving does not care. And I'm right about that.
He also does not care about basketball, because if he
cared about basketball, he wouldn't continually do things to put

(09:51):
his career in jeopardy. And there's the ego that you
have when you are a superstar that nobody can tell
you different everything you think of that you think is correct.
I get that because that's what goes along with being
a superstar and having millions of people following you on
Twitter and interviews and the money you make. I get it.
I there's no way you can become a star. And
I think not be affected by that. But Kyrie Irving

(10:14):
has had chances to choose basketball the last couple of years,
and he's been enabled by the nets to be able
to not choose basketball. So many times he has not
chosen basketball. He knows, Okay, hey, I could be putting
my basketball future present in jeopardy if I continue on
this road. Nope. I want to make sure people know, hey,
think about this documentary that's on Amazon. Oh okay, hey man,

(10:38):
we're trying to win a championship and and you know,
the Nets are paying you forty million dollars a year
and you're showing us that you don't care about basketball.
This is why the Nets need to move on because
Kyrie Irving does not choose basketball, And when you're getting
paid forty million dollars a year, you gotta choose basketball,
number one. And now he's not on the court, and
you don't know if he's gonna ever come back to
the team. Who knows what's going to happen. He may

(10:59):
not want to come back. Every day is something different
with him. But that's the number one thing to take
away is that he does not care about basketball. So
this is why the Nets have to say, all right,
enough is enough? Right Eventually, no one has unlimited patients,
and the Nets have had a lot of patients. You know,
they could have dealt with things a little bit differently.
But as far as Kyrie and allowing him to be

(11:19):
away from the team and and be involved in controversy, yes,
they have enabled him. They kept him around, they brought
they brought him back again. This year. He said what
he said, he put out the tweet. The nets said
were disappointed. Nothing happened, they had a conversation, nothing happened.
Oh my goodness. Eventually something's going to happen to make
it too much. And and I think at this point
that's what the nets have to see is Kyrie Irving

(11:42):
does not care about basketball enough because he's put his
career in jeopardy, doesn't care if he's playing for the Nets,
doesn't care if he's playing, doesn't care if he's not,
because if he did, he would clearly do things differently
when it came to what he puts out on social media,
how he defends it, and what he talks about. Yeah,
the curiosity now is what what is the next peer
other than hey, let's come to a mutual agreement on

(12:03):
your contract in a separation and then see if other
teams want to want to get in and go down
the road with Kyrie Irving. Because saying he's suspended at
least five games, right, that's what we have at this
point until he's quote satisfies a series of objective remedial
measures that address the harmful impact of his conduct. What

(12:26):
does that mean? As you say, he's already shown he'd
getting back on a basketball court a secondary to getting
up at a press conference and tell you how smart
and well ready is. And again, that's fine, right, you
you take your stance, you take the criticism and the
lumps that go with it. You had the opportunity to
disavow any and all. No, you didn't just say you

(12:48):
know what I'm not, you know, into the rhetoric that
is being perpetrated in this documentary, in these websites, etcetera. No, uh,
you did everything to do a tap dance around it.
The k the Anti Defamation League told him to beat
it this afternoon. We're not taking his money because once

(13:08):
again he had a chance to stand up and clarify
and and state for the record, this is not how
I feel, this is not who I am, and he
refused to do so, and Adam Silver and the you know,
he had another statement the nets finally make this move.
And so now now we're at that crossroads of all right, well,

(13:30):
what what are these remedial measures? And he's already shown
he'll sit out on principle for whatever he believes, whatever
he's read, whoever he's talked to, and and that's and
that's his right, and it's everybody else's right. And for
the private business, they're right to react as they do
as well. So for Kyrie Irving, now, um, is this

(13:54):
the last we we see him in a Brooklyn Nets uniform?
I think that's most likely the the measure here five
games plus because what suddenly he's gonna apologize and anybody's
gonna believe that right now? Now it's it's gone beyond
the al Right, you had another chance to remedy your

(14:14):
statement and get in front of reporters, and you double down.
So what's gonna change your mind? I guess would be
the final thought on it? Uh? And would anybody believe
it if he did rubber stamp a statement going forward?
Time to part ways with Kyrie and let him figure
out the rest of his career. It's time for that's

(14:35):
time for the Nets to say, Okay, we gotta do that.
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern seven
pm Pacific Fox Sports Radio. That Jason Smith's Show with
Mike Harmon Eagles all over the Texans. They pull away
in the second half tonight seventeen, A big win and

(14:55):
a big night for our next guest joining us right
now on the Hot Low Mine Eagle Star Javon Hargrave
Sacks on the night tonight meeting, meeting Davis Mills in
the backfield, repeatedly, Javon luck with the show man. How
you doing? I'm good, I'm good. I can't complaining, Okay, complaining, Doe?
Do you know your stat line tonight? Do you know

(15:17):
what your stat line is from tonight? I know? Three
a thing, three sacks, three tackles for loss, six solo tackles,
seven total tackles, three quarterback hits. Can I give you
Defensive Player of the week right now? Or do I
have to wait the next up? Remember you hat to
the other day, dude, so just add it all up. Yeah,

(15:40):
I gotta wait to see because I thought I had
a channel laugh then I didn't get it, so I
gotta way to hear it. So does that make you
mean you're mad at Sirianni for going for it because
you might have gotten gotten a chance to go get
that fourth one at the end. Now ready to get
out of here. I'm happy happy? Oh hey, how does

(16:00):
it no feel? And I feel great. Um, I don't
know if I ever been hating us, so it's still great.
It's still great be a part of this knowing where
we came from itself. So that was that was that's
that's great for us. That's been great for us. Now,
you guys have always traveled well, Like do you hear
the fans? What's it like now with with the winds

(16:22):
piling up? But with people traveling and you hear it
in in a place like Houston that loudly. I mean,
I think that's fine. We get used to going away
and seeing our fans travel. Um, it's really advantaged for
the defense because we get the uh, we get to
go off silent count and stuff like that. And in
the A Waite Stadium, Javonne Hargreave with us, hear the

(16:44):
Jason Spencer with Mike Carmon. Did you get a game
ball at the end of the game too, Yeah, they did.
They gave me a game ball because coach doesn't normally
do that, does he for the offensive guy? Not usually defense?
But to the today cracked the code? What did he
say giving it to Huh? What did he say when

(17:07):
he gave it to you? I think he did right.
Off my stat line, and uh, you know he said
he miss calling me out last week a little bit
because of a short weekend and gave me a little
shout out in front of the team. Now, it's a
hell of a week going against your former team. Two
sacks to start things, thirty against the Steelers. Now three
sacks tonight and in the backfield Davis Mills. But you

(17:29):
guys got tested in the first half. That's a little different.
We got what he got tested in the first half,
and normally it's a you know, starting to run up
a little bit and running away. What What's how different
game does that become for you? I think that just
helps you grow. Um, it's the NFL, so you're gonna
have to have some tough games. Uh, it was one
of them games for us, and we just have to

(17:51):
We got to win at the end. What's it like
trying to take down Pierce? That's that's my million dollars
real bowling ball. We knew that coming in, but yeah,
he we knew it was gonna be have to be
eleven of us running to the ball and bringing him
down monster. Well, because you didn't have much trouble with
Kenyan Green tonight, you kind of just had him on

(18:11):
roller skates the entire night. It was a good day
for me. I can say that. I gotta think that
that laugh now becomes one of our drops like that
as we go. Uh. And you know, I gotta say
Jason has has do you guys before the season. So
he's he's riding your success and he's jumping on your

(18:33):
back as far as you can take him. Well good,
We're gonna try to carry him to it. So they
keep going for us, keep grouting for Javon. I said
before the season, I said, Eagles are going to the
super Bowl. Jalen Hurts is gonna win m v P.
I didn't have a Bowl prediction for you if I
did to look back and go three sacks against Houston
on Thursday, But I had Bowl and Jalen Hurts winning

(18:53):
m v P. Hey, man, man, I'll come and so
keep going for keep doing it. Hey, what's it like
in Philadelphia now? You guys ain't no the Phillies in
the World Series, All this kinds of stuff going. It's
got to be insane there. Yeah, it's pretty good right now.
You know, when you're winning, everybody loves yourself. Who's getting

(19:16):
a lot of love lately. Right now, hopefully we can
keep this saying, Broe the way I qualified that one.
When you're winning, everything's good with the fan interaction, is
what you're saying. You've had good fan interaction the last
couple of weeks. Oh yeah, we were even feeling good.
We've been feeling good right here. We know how I

(19:38):
feel to be on the other side, so we're enjoying
this side right now. Well, congratulations on the way. Oh hey,
before let you go whiz with or whizz without? Which one?
Huh whizz wit or whiz without whiz Wayne whiz with. Well,
it's it's in Philadelphia by Philadelphia accident. See now you
got them down to bad Philadelphia. It's about cheese, steaks

(20:00):
and all kinds of stuff in Philadelphia. That's my Philadelphia
accent that I've been doing the last few weeks. Oh yeah,
and I ain't familiar with that. I'm learning. Oh game man,
and you just made my night, Javona. I appreciate you
sas tonight five in the last five days. Javon, thanks

(20:21):
so much for stop by. Congratulations on the wind. We'll
talk to you down the road. A man enjoying that's fantastic.
He's god with what I don't know that is with
I don't know what is that. I don't know. I
think he was making fun of your action, like, where
the hell is this guy? That was? He had no

(20:42):
idea what you were talking about. No, he did. He
just he just didn't say, Well, that guy really knows
he maybe he's actually from Philadelphia. You mean, that's what
he's thinking. I'm thinking either that or he's hanging on
the phone going those guys are just lunatic. Well we are,
we are, but I mean, you know, he's spent his
professional life playing in Pennsylvania a couple of years with
the Steelers before moving over to the Eagles, so he's
experienced every accent, all sides of it, and he wanted

(21:05):
nothing to do with your Basically, he did not say that.
What he said, he laughed and he was very nice
about it. I'm gonna have sack you, Frostberg. That's gonna happen.
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the I Heart
Radio app. Jason Smith's Show with My Best Friend Mike Harmon.

(21:28):
As we said, two big days Breeders Cup action coming
up the next two days, joining us now on the hotline.
You can see him on tv G over twenty years there,
Todd Shrupp. You can follow him on Twitter at Todd
tv G. That's at Todd tv G. Todd, I don't
know if you heard, but Harmon's brothers are at the event.
Watch out for them. I'm not I don't know what

(21:51):
they're capable of, but you just need to make sure
if you see a couple of Harmon's you might be
a little bit of trouble. Listen. I I don't know
how many in your audience have been to Lection into Kentucky,
but if you haven't, you're missing out. So I know
the Harmon brothers are going to find something that they're
going to really get into here. And there's so many
events around the Breeders Cup itself. There was a huge

(22:12):
one tonight out at whence Our Farm that was the
place to be. Thomas Rhett was playing. He was the
main act and it has been sensational and the weather
is going to be perfect. We're looking at seventy five
degrees on Friday and seventy four degrees on Saturday. There's
gonna be excuse for the wagery. We're gonna be fast
and we're gonna be firm. It's gonna be a phenomenal

(22:34):
Breeders Cup. Beautiful thing. Yeah, there's certainly no strangers to
the area in the events there. And Todd, thanks for
joining us here as we get ready to preview the
big races and all the events. And you've been with
t v G running all the way back to its inception.
What's changed in the industry? Good bed and for you?

(22:54):
You know, how how does your outlook on these big
events change as your deeper into it? Well, quite honestly,
with race tracks, there's been a contraction. Uh. And the
time that I've been in horse racing, I think of
some of the significant racetracks that have closed. I was
there in California because TVG is based there. Hollywood Park

(23:15):
came to an eventually that's now so Fi Stadium obviously. Uh,
with the rams and the chargers. UM called the race
course who I worked at in South Florida for seven years.
That track is now gone. Arlington International Race Course in
Elois is now gone. Uh. There was a time where
you could go to any medium city, any large population city,

(23:37):
and there was a racetrack. That time is gone. I
think racing to a point had over expanded, and now
we've contracted to a few major racing centers. I think
the cause and effect of that has actually tied into
the Breeders Cup, because the idea of the Breeders Cup
was to bring in obviously the best horses in various divisions.
So right now there's fourteen championship races on Friday and

(24:01):
nine on Saturday. But the idea was that it would
go around city to city. So in the time that
I've been in racing, I've been into a Breeders Cup
at Lone Star Park in Texas. I've been to a
Breeders Cup that was at Arlington Park in Illinois before
they eventually met their devise. There's been a Breeders Cup
up in Canada at Woodbine, the first time it ever
went out of the United States. But now we're kind

(24:23):
of in a shorter rotation, and that rotation is actually
very exciting because we're at Keenland Race Course, which in
my mind is one of the best racecourses in the country.
Next year we'll go back to Santa Anita in California. Um,
there will be Churchill Downs after that, and there will
be del Mar as well, most likely on the horizon.
So we've gone from the Breeders Cup being in places

(24:46):
all across the country to now showcasing really some of
the best sporting venues that we have in thoroughbred racing.
So in my time in racing over that twenty years,
as hard it has been to see the contraction of
some really good race track, um, I think it has
brought a focus and equality to the event like the
Breeders Cup and Keeneland is you know, their moniker has

(25:09):
always been racing as it was meant to be. If
you were here right now, you'd see the most brilliant
fall colors. You'd see a tract that's absolutely ready for
the best horses in the world. And so I'm optimistic
about the game. And you know, our parent company is
FanDuel is FanDuel and we're now fan Duel TV. And
so while sports gambling is obviously taking off across the country,

(25:32):
horse racing has a seat at the table now. So
it part of the part of the event this weekend.
I really think you should wrestle Jerry Lawler again because
I know you did that earlier in your career. You
know what, but when tv G first started, what do
you know, It's like, hey, twenty years later, we're gonna
do it again. Because retro is popular. You can wrestle
him right before one of the big races. Well, and

(25:54):
here's what Here's what I always say to you is
that in the beginning, we were bailable on only like
those C band satellite dishes. They were like the size
of a jacuzzi every way to get us. So we
had to do a lot to get attention. And there's
a longer backstory, which is longer than obviously you guys
have at the radio program. So I found myself ended

(26:16):
up flying to Texas to Sam Houston Race Park where
they would put on wrestling matches every Friday night, and
I was I was wrestling Jerry the King Wawler of
Andy Kaufman fame, and it was one of the best
experiences I've had in my lifetime. It's also one off,
like I had a next stinger. But I will tell

(26:36):
you this, it's it's like Wilt Chamberlain's hundred point game.
They could fit like five thousand in the gym, but
a hundred thousand people said they were there. People come
up to me to this day and it's been almost,
uh about nineteen years since I did that, and they
say that was one of their favorite moments, and I
have to say it was one of mine because I
never thought I would ever do something like that, and

(26:57):
I and I somehow kind of pulled it off. I'd say, yeah,
to put that on my resume is what I wear
that so proudly, and I'm so glad you brought it up,
barn Stormy Toe. Hey, when you get back out here
in Santa Anita, maybe you and Smith could get the
singlings on and I'll be the announcer and referee for that.

(27:17):
And I think they've outlawed the pile driver since then.
So I didn't you know in a legal move at
the time. Yeah, we had a couple of though. You
got you, you got you got Todd, you got time.
You could come up with a new move, because like
I always said, if I was a wrestler, i'd be
some kind of doctor and my move would be anesthesia
and that would be and I'm like, oh, anesthesia is coming,

(27:38):
and then I would put you to sleep and That's
how I would win. So if you watch, if you
watch the video, I always remember this because after we
did highlights from it when I got back from Texas.
And so if you watch the replay on YouTube, you
will see jaredy King Lawler, he kind of gets over
me on all four hunches and like my face is
towards the back of his back end and are on

(28:00):
their person at the time. Frank Lyons goes, what do
they call that move? The sniffer? Go back and watch
it on YouTube. It's like we're in a very awkward position.
Now there you go. That really paid in a picture
here on a Thursday. And as we get we're talking
all things breeders cup here, Wow, Todd Trump with us

(28:23):
here from dv G. As we get ready for for
the card. Obviously the Classic is the one that gets
the most attention Todd, But is there one on the
undercard that has you excited based on the field. Yeah, Look,
I think the Distaff is as compelling of a field
as the Classic. And the Distaff is the best older
female horses, whereas the Classic is the best older male horses. Um,

(28:47):
the distaff has a showdown between two horses who reside
in the same barn for trainer Todd Pletcher Nest who's
a top three year old Philly and Mola Thought is
a very good four year old Philly and she had
a great three year old campaigns who won the Kentucky Oaks.
But I believe people are looking at that race the
wrong way while they're trying to figure out which Pletcher

(29:08):
is going to win. I think there's two horses out
of Steve Asterson's barn who deserves as much consideration. Yes, yes,
Society on the outside. Who's gonna take the lead. She's
an improving three year old Philly. She could go gate
to wire and then her stablement in their clari Air
absolutely lost all chance before her last race, and in

(29:30):
her previous two starts she beat Malapat who was one
of the contenders coming in. Instead of looking at the
two top Fletcher horses in the distaff, I would absolutely
look at the two Steve Asterston horses. You mentioned the
biggest race of all, the greatest Cup Classic, the final
championship race of the two days. It's one of the
most exciting horses we've ever seen in the sport in
flight line and I you know you talk about my

(29:52):
background having been a TVG for twenty three years. Prior
to that, I had seven years in South Florida in
five years and in Minnesota, so I'm about thirty five
years in the sport fan before that seen a lot
of good horses. In flight Line has the potential to
be as good as any horse we've ever seen. They've
already started the conversation of should he be what considered

(30:13):
spectacular bid? Should he be considered in the same air
as Secretariat. The only thing that's holding him back is
he's five or five. He's lightly raised, so this will
be only the sixth start of his career, but every
performance is something we've never seen before. His previous race,
he won the TVG Pacific Classic at del Mar, going

(30:33):
a mile and a quarter by nineteen and a quarter links.
He made some of the best horses in California look
average like they were tied to a post when he
turned for home. He could have won, He could have
broken the track record with ease. He just went slightly
by the track record. I think what you're gonna see
on Saturday is something that you will never forget. And

(30:54):
even if you're a casual fan, you watched horse racing
around the Kentucky Derby, and they don't pay attention to
the rest of the year. I'm telling you, you have
to see what this horse does. He's like none other.
And I've spent this past five weeks here in Kentucky
and then this past week a lot of the connections
of the horses that will be taking on flight Line,

(31:15):
the connections of White Line, have been there, and every
single one of them really make deference to how good
this horse is. Even those who are competing against them
just flat out say, I don't see how we can
beat him. So I think we're going to see something special,
a track record, a record in the Breeders Cup Classic

(31:35):
for the distance, and maybe a record for the winning margin.
And if he does that, the conversation will continue about
does he belong with the all time great And the
sport has changed. You guys brought that up so so
eloquently at the beginning of this conversation. Horse racing is
different now than it was years ago. Horses don't race
as many times as they do, and it's the same

(31:55):
in other sports. I mean, look at baseball or at
the middle of the Fall Classic. You know, no one's
gonna start as many times as cy Young did. But
are we Are we going to say that there's a
picture in the modern era who can't be one of
the greats of all time. So I don't hold the
number of starts against flight Line. I look at him
with his singular performances and say, that is a horse
that we rarely get to see. So I'm very excited

(32:18):
for Saturday and what flight Line is gonna do. He's
on Twitter at Todd tv G. That is at Todd
tv G, Todd Truck Breakfast at the Breeders. Todd has
always appreciate your time, have fun this week. And if
you wind up wrestling somebody else, yeah, if you wrestle
both Harmon brothers at once, that, yeah, we'll pay for that.
We'll pay for all. I have the feeling. I have
the feeling I'm going to see the Harmon Brothers somewhere

(32:40):
downtown tonight. So it could happen. Well, well, we'll get
you in touch. I'm sure things get flow. They've got
plenty of other questions and would love to pick your
brain on on who's running second. Uh did the favorite,
So let's go. Thanks, So mu
