(00:23):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. I thought we talked
about this open tie shirt. They fixed the open. You know,
you were all set. Now they got your name and
every We're all good to go. Are you talking to
I'm talking to you, I said to you, Harmon, I
said they fix they fix the open. I didn't part
of it. I just heard you yell at back and
(00:44):
yelling back at Frostburn. No. I was saying to you, See,
there we go. They fixed, buddy. You gotta address me
by name. I talked to you. I've talked to you
every night for almost ten years now. Yeah. But as
as the show opens, who's the first voice you heard?
You heard Frostberg, So I thought you were addressing him
as the uh mentioned producer. I'm not supposed to be
(01:09):
here today, uh Friday, the Frostburgs covering years is he
thinks I'm gonna spoil Waconda forever. I don't think he's
gonna see it yet. I will tell you this, When
Darth Vader shows up, man, no one sees that coming. Fantastic.
(01:30):
It is the larger Disney universe, So you could he
just shows up, You just start mixing worlds, have at it.
Oh yeah, yeah, he crossed his arms like the black panther,
dives out of a helicopter, pulls out that lightsaber, starts
killing people in the middle and throwing the lightsaber coming
back to him. Now wait, now that's actually a really
good idea. Hang on, let me write that down. Didn't
Kyler Ren do that move shot out of the movie?
(01:55):
He kind of did. But actually the best was when
someone edited one of the John Wick scenes with incentive
knives lightsabers. Oh that was the best. Uh. We're live
tonight as we always are from the tirect dot com studios.
Tirect dot com will help you get there and unmatched selection,
fast free shipping, free road hazard protection, and over ten
thousand recommended installers. Ti irect dot com the way tire
(02:18):
buying should be so a big whole fun slate of
NBA games coming up. We got Cleveland and Golden State
and remember when this was gonna be a Golden State run.
Oh they're gonna kill him. No, not happening. Sacramento and
the Lakers. This could have big time lottery implications. Guys
in the editing room are both wearing jerseys. I told
(02:38):
him to get down to the crypt. It might be
able to get a few minutes. I need more cowbell.
Uh So those games coming up right now, We're gona
a couple minutes away from tip off between Cleveland and
Golden States. Sacramento and the Lakers coming up in about
a half hour. And you know, it wouldn't be a
Knicks game if it didn't make it really bleep and interesting.
You know, a big lead going to the fourth quarter. Now,
(02:58):
let's let the Pistols, the Pistons who stink, let them
eat away at this lead and eat away at it.
Now the Knicks have to hold on in the last minute,
leading the Pistons one to one. Ten and we have
college football. I mean, we've got so much going on.
We got we got to USCS playing right now, So
there's potential for chaos tonight. Dud Dark We had a
(03:23):
college basketball game on an aircraft today and the winds
were going at like thirty What are you doing? I'm
working the inside game. I don't know how any of
those guys could see because they showed the video yeah
before the game of the sun coming down, was like,
how do these guys they'll be shooting into today? Really
(03:46):
do they get to wear cool shades while they're out there?
And oh my goodness, hand out those blue blockers. Uh so, yeah,
you know, the Knicks do look like they're gonna All
they needed was for me to talk about it for
a seconds. Now they hit a couple of shots, looks
like they're gonna hold on. But yeah, but it is
a huge game in college football tonight because USC, despite
(04:10):
the fact they're ranked eighth and have an incredible offense,
every week there twenty three point favorites and every week
to score is forty five thirty seven in the fourth quarter,
and they can lose every week. That's USC right now.
Midway through the first quarter, Colorado is one and eight.
It is a nothing, nothing game. Now, This is actually
the Pack twelve, believe it or not, is where every
(04:33):
college football fan needs to focus their attention. If you
are thinking about your team squeaking into the playoff, because
this is what's going to keep your team out. This
is what will keep a one loss Michigan or a
one loss Ohio State team out. A one loss Georgia
team of Old George is not gonna lose, but this
is what's going to do it. Because a one loss
(04:53):
Pack twelve champion gets into the College Football Playoff, there's
no way it doesn't happen, especially for USC. If it's Oregon,
if it's u c L. A, They're going to get in.
Now what you're rooting for is you're rooting for losses
because if you're you're gonna get a loss with U
c l A USC, you're gonna get a loss in
the Pack twelve title game from somebody getting and and
the Pack twelve clearly is capable of this. Having Hey,
(05:16):
we got three teams. You could make it to the
playoff and in the next couple of weeks everybody loses
a game, this could happen for the Pack twelve. So
this is where your attention lies. Is if you want
your team to get find a way to get in
the playoff and find a way to move up from
nine from eight. You want the pack twelve losses because
that's what you need Forget about waiting on the one.
Oh if Georgia can lose it or if Michigan No, no, no,
you want Pack twelve. You are rooting against Oregon and
(05:39):
USC and U c l A. That's what you're rooting against.
Cannibalization absolutely what you look for all every conference season, right,
that's what they count on in the big ten. Uh.
Yet you see Ohio State generally doesn't take that big hit,
and Michigan right now playing ridiculous football, so uh do
they do? And people trying to fight him in tunnels
(06:01):
has not worked out well there too, so that can
bolster their resume. As you flowed through. But USC, you
just had Caleb Williams wing it down field, uh tremendous interceptions.
So the Buffaloes will take over here midway through the
first quarter. But three pack twelves and what do you have?
Four in the top thirteen. So and a lot of
(06:24):
those matchups still to come. So the chaos. The only
way we'll get one going through is if we get
USC Oregon in the championship game. But like I said,
it's the Pack twelve there's no rollover games. It's not
like when Michigan or Ohio State or Georgia plays, well,
they're gonna win this game. Now, they always throw it
out there to chance, right pack twelve after dark is insane.
(06:47):
And you just mentioned right there, Caleb Caleb Williams throwing
a pick right there. I believe that is just the
second turnover by USC's offense all season long. Caleb Williams
has two interceptions. I believe those are the only turnovers Usc, s, s,
you know why you're able to win these games? He's
seven games. You don't turn the football over all right.
(07:09):
I Mean it's weird because I look at USC and
sometimes I watch him and I'm so incredibly impressed with
how well they're playing. In Lincoln Riley's first year, and
he's brought in a bunch of guys, and here's my
offense and we're trying to gel together right away, and
here they are with one loss, controlling their own destiny
to the college football playoff. And on the other hand,
to look at him and I go, how are they
not better? How do they not bring in all this talent?
(07:30):
How did I blow the doors off of these other teams?
In the PAC twelve, how do they have a loss?
How do they let all these teams that stink just
hang around that their defense season long, it's it's an offensive.
This goes, it flies in the face of the Hey
and look and they're winning. But we always talk about
the the change of the game, like running and defense
still can win games, uh, and playing a modicum of defense.
(07:53):
I know in the PAC twelve that's always been a
little bit of a an afterthought because once upon a
time it was the SEC played defense and the Pack
twelve didn't. Now the SEC does an awful lot of offense,
but we still see in the in the PAC twelve
that the defense, uh, it really still holds a premium.
And you're hanging on by the seat of your pants,
(08:15):
oftentimes in those fourth quarters because remember with USC, you
also still have a date at the end of the
schedule with Notre Dame and suddenly that's a tough game.
But that's just it. At some point it flipped and
now you have no idea what kind of effort you're
gonna get three straight wins. And they're putting up points
(08:36):
for thirty five and their last three games forty one
and thirty five while dismantling Syracuse and Clemson. And now
they got the midshipman Boston College ahead of that date
with USC. So uh, it's starting to get things rolling.
Winners of six of seven after opening oh and two,
(08:56):
and people were already wondering if if they were gonna
have to make a coaching change of media instead. No, no, no,
no no. All's right with the world. Everybody's excited. But
it sets up great intrigue in the final weeks. And
the PAC twelve. I mean, this is the most we've
talked about the Pack twelve in a long time. This
is oh, I know, it's it's amazing, right, Look at
PAC twelve is getting some love finally, and it's not
(09:18):
just look how many people aren't at the PAC twelve
championship game. PAC twelve is getting some love. Now. Look
at this. Although the six thirty start time was good
for nobody today even with a holiday, Happy Veterans Day,
and are serving we appreciate you. Gotta gotta give some love, uh,
for those freedoms that we enjoy being able to watch
(09:40):
and talk about these football games. And and you yuck
it up and yell at each other, uh, and all
of that all the sacrifices made uh by so many
people through the years. So thank you, uh from from
all of us here at Fox Sports Radio. UH and
of course the Jason Smith Show with me Carmen you know,
and my dad who was a veteran. He served in Vietnam.
(10:02):
He was in the Navy, and I gotta tell my
Veterans Day joke that I tell every year that that's
in my it is though no, it but it, but
it's still funny, and I still I still got to now.
I always no, no, no, I always tell my dad,
I'm gonna tell your joke on the air for you
on Veterans Day is. And he still does this to
people that he just meets that don't know him, and
(10:23):
they wind up talking about the military. Um as, Yes,
I was in the Navy. I was in Vietnam. And
he told the ship he was on the USS to
Luther went to visit it in San Diego a few
years ago. It was one of the greatest days of
his life. They announced him coming on deck. Oh it
was fantastic. And so we'll be hanging out with people
and we'll just say my dad will say yeah, he goes,
did I ever tell you at the time, I saved
the lives of all four and eighty six people on
(10:44):
my ship, and everybody goes no, and they're like, oh,
he's gonna tell some kind of crazy story. Oh my god,
what is this in? Like no, and they don't know
how to react to, like, no, what do I do
right now? What kind of story is he gonna tell?
What's he gonna do? My dad goes yea all four
eight six people and someone will say what happened, and
he'll say, I threw the cook overboard. Yeah. Then everybody
(11:05):
just stops. Oh, and and it just slays every time
he tells that joke Blakes. He pauses and he says
that I had no idea your dad was Casey right back.
You want to explain who Casey right back is for Frost,
you gotta explain Casey right back to millennials. Are we
allowed to talk about that guy these days? I mean,
(11:27):
we're not talking about his politics alright? Alright, and badass
named Steven Seagal go watch his movies. Okay, I'm just
a lonely cook, That's all I am. Anybody just a cook?
You know, you want to go a great undersiege story
That is the first movie I ever saw a bootleg
copy of. I didn't see it until someone gave me
(11:49):
a bootleg copy of it. Now, the statute of limitation
is not what's not sure it is that was night
early nine. No, no, no, no, so it say, hey,
you want to see under Siege. Yeah, it was really dark.
I was ahead of its time because you don't know
everything is shot really dark. But it was really dark.
I'm like, oh, okay, that's Tommy Lee Jones. Alright, that's a.
That's A that's as ever. So I was like, oh, man,
(12:09):
I didn't pay any money. I was, no, that would
have been something. It's been a bunch of uh the
mailbox thing with Syracuse. This was in Staten Island, which
was Staten Island in the nineties was like the bootleg
capital of the world. Like I remember going into a
salons for a pedicure and like, bootleg copies of movies
(12:30):
are playing in the Oh, this is just that theaters, Okay,
I mean it isn't that. By extension. I mean, look,
you walked down any any street, uh, in the heart
of Manhattan, You're gonna be able to find bootleg just
about anything. But oh yeah, but but I think the
penalties are far more severe. Yes, there are, and get you.
(12:51):
This was this was thirty years ago. This is thirty
years already still on the scene and ready to get you. Uh.

have points on the board. What wait? What what? USC
just threw a pick, Yes, and now they got a safety.
USC leads Colorado to to nothing with six and a
half minutes to go in the first quarter. They got
the football back and are driving. They're facing a third
down in their own territory, but it is now to nothing.
(13:37):
USC with the lead over Colorado, USC holding the fate
of the Pack twelve and everybody else in their hands
every time they step on the football field. Be sure
to catch live editions of The Jason Smith Show with
Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern seven pm Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the I Heart Radio app. HI.
Welcome back as we take a trip around the world
(13:58):
here at Fox Sports Radio the Jason Smith Show with
my best friend Mike Harmon. Feel like we should be
attending a sausage fest. Let's go. Well, that's you and
me every night talking. That's kind of a huge boner.
Welcome to the Fox Sports Radio Tailgate presented by the
Big Green Egg. Nothing beats the flavor of live fire
cooking on a Big Green Egg. It's the most versatile
grill you'll ever own, backed by a lifetime warranty roll
(14:20):
with the best shop online for free delivery at Big
green egg dot com. Lifetime warranty, freeome delivery, Big green
egg dot Com probably smokes some meat. Well. USC living
up to their the billing of hey, we really do
less with more uh. Colorado just busted off a forty
yard run. They are inside USC's fifteen yard line. Colorado
(14:44):
is one and eight this season, and they are a
poise to take the lead here over USC in the
first quarter. It's amazing. You know, Sometimes I feel like
Clay Helton hasn't really left because this because this is
a typical way that they would play the clay helt. Yeah,
here they are. They're eighting one there, one in eight
and here they come in. It's like it's an even
(15:04):
game Colorado, USC. It's like a pick them. It's a
toss up. Don't even have the point spread, don't want
the points, don't need the points. Here we go. Uh yeah,
it is a curiosity here two minutes left in this
first quarter. A couple of big shots down field. Great
effort by Colorado. On right, you had the the interception
(15:26):
followed by the safety followed by a three and out.
So opportunity knocks here for Colorado. We go through there
their schedule. You had the narrow loss by eight. That's
a narrow loss, uh to Arizona State. Otherwise they've been
pummeled with some great regularity over the course of the season,
giving up at least thirty eight points in every game
(15:50):
to nothing here with two minutes left in the first
Just a remind print, just a reminder, USA a thirty
four point favorite tonight, thirty four there, and they're about
to be down three too after this. Dante Bichette three
on home er out of Colorado. Nicely, Sorry, do you
like that, dude, have you not watched the USC game
all year? Of course I watched every game. It's all
the same. Yeah, what to score? Going to the fourth quarter?
(16:14):
Thirteen ten, final score worked him over and then big
play after big play man Again. We'll have more on
this game coming up in a few minutes. But I
bet you didn't think we do a story about Tom
Brady and Liederhosen today. No, but we are one of
the big games this weekend in Germany as Tampa Bay
(16:36):
and the Buccaneers and Tom Brady getting set to take
on Gino Smith and the Seahawks again. Watching TV today,
I felt like I was in the bizarro world when
I see a big font on TV. One of the
debate shows says, who would you rather have Gino Smith
or Tom Brady? I'm like, this is where we're at,
this is my nightmare. Would you rather have Gino more?
Tom Brady? Statistical breakdowns the comparison and Gino. He has
(17:01):
seven two or two games touch games with at least
two touchdown basses and Brady just has one on the year. Uh.
And the other thing that's been kind of entertaining to
watch all week was Wait London and all the UK
games have sucked time and time and time again, and
then Germany gets this one. It just doesn't seem fair. Well,
(17:24):
it's kind of like seeing all the bad games on
TNF and then all the good Sunday's got all the
good games. Yep, we're gonna give everything we don't like
on t n F. We're gonna put it all off. You. Well,
you're the late comer. You only you get a couple
that look good on paper, and then well by a
week eight they don't look so good anymore. Right now,
luckily I can fix Tom Brady and we'll tell you
how to do that, just coming up in a couple
(17:45):
of seconds. But today at the press conference kind of
you know, look, it's like the Super Bowl when when
teams go over there, here's your first game here at Germany,
very excited, and here at the press conference was Tom
Brady getting his first pair of leader hoosen gifted to
him by a German TV reporter. And you know it
(18:07):
looks nice and very at uh is a special one
and we have manufactured for you the special on well
the TV twelve move on and we are very clu
thank you, and won't you always do a good memories.
When you think back to mun thank there might be better?
Might I appreciate it? Thank you? Thank you? Like that?
(18:30):
How would that look going out there game? And that
awesome good thank you? So there's Tom Brady getting his
first pair of leader Homes again. I wouldn't know how
to react in a situation like that. You just say
thank you about a hundred times, thank you, thank you,
thank you. Say it's unique. What do you get for
the guy who has everything, and by just about everything,
probably wouldn't have been on his top one million things
(18:53):
to go and buy someone gifting you that. That's pretty
good guys, thank you. I thought your l were the parts.
Oh well, these aren't pants. These are these are leader
host and they're short pants. See you here leader hosen.
And I guarantee you the vast majority of people think, oh,
some kind of tights, like like green tights that people
(19:13):
wear that end in the in the big wooden shoe
that have the big curve on like the iron cheek
would have that curled boot with the sharp edge on it,
like do you think that? No leader host is the
short pants like the the and their brown and they
have bucks designs on them that you wear with the
um uh suspenders, and that's leader Hosen, and that's what
Tom Brady got leader Hosen from a German report. That's well, well,
(19:35):
the short pants, you know what. I did a quick
search for later hosen, and the first entry was not
the costume that you would normally see, right the Bavarian
october Fest kind of get up that you saw with
Steve mary Uchi and so many others. No, I got
the button front pocket and leather shorts. Focus thing that
(19:56):
came up for me. So clearly they't know my proclivities,
and so excitement abounds. But oh well, dude, I can
so picture you in the entire outfit, the white shirt,
the red suspenders, the leader hose, in the green hat
with the feather on it, the pointy shoes, and then
the biggest mug of beer you could possibly have. And
(20:16):
I could so picture you in that. I might do
that Sunday. I think coming into town for a couple
of days, I might don that apparel. I bet you.
If it's like a holiday, holiday holiday, if I went
to your house right now, I could within five minutes
I could look in the closet and find that outfit,
because it just it just it just screams you, I
bet you, I bet you have it. Well, you know what,
(20:38):
I have a hat that would work with it. Actually,
you know what, I'll pair up. I'll pair up my
my Carmelo Anthony red leather hat right the door I've
got with a pair of Santa shorts that I have.
So you already have it, then you bet you have
the outfit? Yeah, I mean, I gotta get a white
shirt that fits a little more, a little better because
(20:59):
once out of time, when I was doing stuff behind
the desk in the video, like my neck was big
enough that I had to buy these Instead of getting
things tailored, I just went cheap. Uh, And so I
have these oversized shirts. So I need something that's a
little more form fitting to go with, you know, the
proper outfit. But yeah, I can. I can get that
done pretty easy. Yeah, I think. I mean, pop, within
five minutes, I could have that outfit ready for you.
(21:20):
Go ahead, put it on. Let's go, let's go pick games.
That's you. That's my game picking outfit. I'm gonna pick games,
and I'm gonna use it German accent when I do it. Well,
I mean, that's next year. We've got we've got big
plans to expand rapid expansion. Uh. The other thing you mean?
You mentioned the Iron Cheek and I, and I would
have to be remiss if I didn't bring up one
of his tweets from earlier today of the Clean Variety
(21:44):
and it just said it's Friday, get your chic on. Okay,
there you go. Alright then, Uh, The Jason Smith Show
with Mike Carmen Live from the Tire rax D. It
is very good advice, always and always when you want
to point people to the Iron Cheeks Twitter account, you
have to do it with some kind of hey, here's
a warning. There may be some stuff, don't content just
(22:05):
not saved for work and mostly non FCC compliant, which
is why I picked the one that was pretty good. Alright, good,
I mean you you can infer what you want from that.
And he had a raise and eye alright, alright, alright, Mike, Yeah,
are you sure it's the real chic if he's using
no U? Yeah, because he thought it up pretty quickly
with a click on the blue chuck mark. Yeah, because
(22:28):
he was back to blankety blanket whole Cogan pretty fair. Well, now,
isn't there going to be a gray a gray button
now too right for people really exclusive if you're so
if you're verified. For no, no, I thought it was
if you're verified like normal, Like before you could buy
a blue check boar. But now you can't even buy
the mark anymore. They had to suspend that because of
(22:49):
all the problems. Took less than this was a bad
I told you, man, we're going through the looking glass
on Twitter. It's the man again. On Instagram, that's what one.
No it was it was it was from the Wild
West of the Mad Hatter's Tea Party. Oh, this is amazing.
I didn't know this. Now you can't buy a blue
(23:10):
check hark not how about a fresc on TikTok Oh,
my goodness, Eli, I mean, what are the if I
said to you, okay, just for just for a second,
if I said to you January onest and I said, okay,
that's the over under for the day. There's no more Twitter. Twitter.
In terms of being a useful resource, we're just about there.
(23:33):
No no, no no. In terms of we're going back to websites.
At this point, you can't even find it on the
internet anymore. We're going back to chat rooms. Hey, I'm
gonna chat room. I want to talk. I want to
talk about the Nicks in the chat room. What are
you living on the message boards like you're in back
in drafting. I see it. They're calling for your job, man,
I'll tell you. But as far as Tom Brady goes,
(23:54):
we could talk about how complicated other banks make it
to redeemed credit card rewards, or we could talk about
how we discover you can redeem your awards for cashing
any amount at any time. You talk about amazing learn
more discovered dot com slash redeem rewards terms they do apply.
You want to fix the Bucks and give them the
best chance to win the division because they're back being
the favorite in the NFC South. Because everybody just absolutely stinks.
(24:17):
This is how you do it. You saw the game
last week where Brady threw the football nearly sixty times.
Brady needs to throw the football sixty times a game.
You know why because this is an historically awful rushing
attack that Tampa Bay has put out this year. I mean, really,
it is historically bad. It's one of the worst in
(24:37):
the last sixty years. It's terrible, and they can't get
anything going. Leonard four Nett is worse than just a guy.
He's averaging three point three yards per carry. Why is
averaging three point one yards per carry. There's been enough
time in the season to know it's just not gonna happen.
We're not gonna start ripping off big runs. And it's
going on. The only worst rushing offense at this point
(24:59):
pre ninety there's only one pre I'm going back all
the way. I'm going back seventy eight years. Only one
offense before after after that was this bad. Why even
run the football anymore? Why do it sixty times a game?
You want to win games, you want to lose games,
you put it on Brady's right arm. That's where you're
gonna win. At this point, it doesn't do you any
(25:20):
good to even run the football. You want to try
a couple of runs a quarter, but if you go
more than ten runs in the football game, that's just
too much. There's got to be less than ten overall
rushing opportunities, and Brady's gotta be over fifty. I'll say
sixty times a game. He needs to throw the football,
and if that's what it takes to win, then that's
what it takes to win. Look at you, I like
that guts approach and he's got to get it out
(25:43):
in less than two seconds or he's gonna get dropped
on his ass. That's what we have seen over the
course of this season, and and the for net frustration
was one of the big stories to start the week,
you know, in terms of being substituted out for Rashad White,
who may have a little bit more explosives, but we
don't know. Just thirty eight attempts on the year, that's
barely into useful data points in terms of sample size,
(26:08):
but at three point one, clearly he's not injecting a
huge amount of life. That has been a better receiver
out of the backfield than a runner this year. That
offensive line Uh an absolute train wreck. And I gotta
say the creativity lacking from left Witch and company. All Right.
People have talked all week about Todd Bowles and his
(26:28):
demeanor that's the same as when he was with the Jets,
and like it or not, and we've talked with Jay
Glazer and so many others over the course of the
year of how much different things are run through him
than under Bruce Arians. There's not the guy to like
the fire under your ass. Uh, the same way So
for Brady and company, Yeah, they've got to yet a
(26:49):
bit more creative. Evans Godwin has been ticking upward, finally healthy,
so he's got to be a bigger deal. You got
everything you you expected out of Julio Joe, which is
not a lot. So trying to find other options, and
I think Otton is going to be a huge factor
for them in the second half. He's gonna have to be,
and certainly against a Seahawks D that's getting better as
(27:11):
these young guys get more time together. Fifty eight passes
last week. That should be the low. He should never
throw more less than fifty eight passes. And nice up, Tommy,
he's been up there in some games. He's been around fifty.
Yeah at this point, Yeah, you're gonna go out, go
out and to blaze of glory. But if you're gonna
lose games, lose because Tom Brady couldn't win you games,
(27:32):
not because we kept giving the ball Leonard four Nette
and we're shot white. I mean it's gotta be if
you're gonna use the Blaze of Glory line, you gotta
give at least enough time so he could get Q up.
That mean guitar intro took it took TI shirt long
enough just to find a song that we could have
use and have fun with German leaders and on. Be

Caleb Williams a two yard touchdown run, so it begins.
(28:15):
USC now leads Colorado a thirty four point favorite. USC
is now nine three as USC is about to kick
off to the Buffaloes here in the second quarter. Again
for USC, this is a typical USC game. They should
be killing them. Instead, they're allowing the competition to play
(28:36):
to their level. And it's closer than it should be.
And why isn't it more of a blowout? Welcome to
U s C. Yeah, I mean, I'd like to go
average length of drive and start doing some of the
deep dives. But here's what they've scored all year their
team points. Hey, that was against TCU ten points, seven points,
seventeen against u C l A twenty against Arizona twenty
(28:58):
thirteen overtime win. Again the California Golden Bears nine points
against Oregon State. We talked about the shootout loss to
Arizona State, and then they scored ten against the Ducks.
I think those were ten pity points late. Weren't they
telling you midway through the fourth quarter's gonna be thirty
(29:18):
seven USC? Like, how is this happening? Yeah? And but
then you're looking at the end of the schedule. They
got USC followed by a road trip to Washington and
then they got the Utes. Good luck with that. So
I love more in this game. Throughout the night again
number eight, USC up three over Colorado back twelve after dark.
(29:39):
Josh Allen is hour by hour for the Buffalo Bills,
which makes zero sense me. You can ask Sean McDermott
every hour, how's Josh Allen? He's hour to hour? Okay,
I'll ask you get in sixty minutes setting the time
around my clock. How's Josh Allen? Know? I said he's
hour to hour and is up in the air. A
true game to time decision for Sunday against the Minnesota
(30:02):
You should have answered like McVeigh did about Stafford. That's
not my call. I gotta wait for the medical staff
to clear him. Stop asking me. It's it's too much.
I mean, I I get, I get what he's doing.
I get he wants Minnesota to have to prep for
everybody and prep for case Keenom too. But at this
point I feel like, Okay, now he's going overboard with it,
(30:23):
right Because Josh Allen wasn't practice today and in minute
the television cameras turned on and didn't see him throwing
the football or wrap on his arm. Josh Allett picked
up his gear and ran off the field. Yeahs, he's
not got any ice compressions or slings or anything. He's
like hey, hey, hey, And then he grabbed his stuff
(30:43):
and off he went. Get out of here, man, get out.
I gotta got cameras, rot, I gotta get out. I
gotta go, gotta go, gotta go. So he beats it
uh to the locker room before anybody can see any
more of him working on anything else. I really find
it hard to believe he's going to play this week.
I even though they're doing this, he's out of practice.
(31:03):
And maybe this is part of the the gamesmanship which
they're really going overboard on a little bit. If you are,
but with that kind of injury, you want to be
smart with him. It's an injury he had a few
years ago and he was injured the end of the
game against the Jets, and you kept him in when
you were down and it looked like the game was
gonna be over. Why are you what? Why are you
rushing to get him back out there this week? I
(31:24):
would really be surprised if I saw him play on son.
I feel the same way today on Friday that I
did Monday about Josh Allen playing on Sunday. Yeah, I
just don't understand why you'd risk him. Right, you're playing
for February, you're not playing as week ten, and it's
out of conference, so doesn't have the same juice that
(31:45):
it would even if say, say you're battling Baltimore one
of these squads or Kansas City and you're trying to
fight for you know, number one seed and stuff. Not
that that's not important, that this still doesn't affect it,
but or to battle against the Jets. That means you're
you're worrying about the Jets in their second half, but
(32:08):
if you lose this game, you're looking up at the Jets.
The entire a f C East is looking up at
the Jets. Yeah, you're just enjoying that a little bit
too much fun. But we still have the Bills as
a three point favorite. It went from eight and a
half right, so there was a five and a half
point swing. So there's one of your answers if you're
ever asking how much a quarterback could be worth uh
(32:31):
five and a half uh down to case keenum but
still a field goal favorite. So you're saying, there's it's
still a chance, you know, just for a second about
Josh Allen. And and I was thinking about this on
Sunday watching the game against the Jets. You had those
couple of big drives in the first half. The result
in the touchdowns that were always all Josh Allen, Right,
(32:53):
every drive is he finds the right receiver, He's able
to make the right throw. He's confident when he comes
to every single every single play, you know he's gonna
make the right decision. His designed runs are always full
of power. There's no second guessing. He's out in front
of his lineman half the time. There's times when I
watch him on a drive right and this is not over,
(33:14):
but just times and I always used to feel this
way about Derek Jeter, Like there were times when I
watched Derek Jeter do something either was in the playoffs
or in a clutch game in the regular season, and
I would say, I've never seen anybody as good as him,
Like Derek Jeter is the best baseball player I've ever
seen because this situation, what he's doing, he's gonna do
what nobody else can do. He's gonna do the right thing,
he's gonna succeed, and he's gonna come through where nobody
(33:35):
else does. I feel that way sometimes about Josh Allen.
I watch him in a drive and I say, I've
never seen a quarterback that can do things like and
he may be the best quarterback that I've ever seen,
just but just because I see certain things he does
on drives where he's absolutely unstoppable and it's just chunk
yardage to get to the end zone. Now, that doesn't
mean he's the best quarterback of all times. And I've
(33:57):
seen Patrick Mahomes do things I've seen eyes do of
course for the let you know, being a football fan
for the past forty five years, but when you're a
Jets fan, you haven't well, I mean, you and I
have not really seen a lot of quarterbacks. I've seen
greatness against us. I watched Brady for twenty years. We're
gonna lose this game, but you look, even Brady, Brady
has as great athlete, as great players around him. He's
not the running threat that Josh Allen is. I watch
(34:20):
Allen and I go, he's just unstoppable. There. There's sometimes
there's times I think there's no way they're going to
stop him. And I sometimes don't feel that way about
my homes or Brady or somebody else. I feel like
it's just it's just he's not stoppable at this point
right now, watching this drive, he's doing it better than
anybody else I've ever seen. I feel that way about him. Well,
(34:41):
you're getting in your fields, because I mean, we've seen greatness.
We've seen. You mentioned Brady, you mentioned I'll put my
homes up against him, and you know how much I
love Josh Allen. Uh, he's still uh, we'll will be
a bit reckless at times, as he showed in that
loss to your Jet. Yeah. Oh yeah, look that he
(35:02):
found a way to give the game back to us. No,
but that's what I mean. It's great and then it's like, well,
but there are certain times ago he gave up a
game to the Jet. It negated your greatness. We have
