a holiday weekendensed it into one supersized episode for you

(01:06):
on the I Heart Radio network. Is my buddy Dan
Buyer at Dan Buyer in for Jason Smith vacationing in
Hawaii this week. I've never been to Hawaii, Dan and
somehow I don't see Jason as a guy who's really
gonna maximize his time there. But is he? Is he
going to MAUI? Is he going to I want to? Oh, okay,

(01:31):
because I think I made a bad Kawhi Leonard uh
not playing Joe at the time. I've I've never been either.
It's a place that i'd I'd like to go. Uh
maybe may get there next year, but who knows, who knows?
But I am like you, I have not made it. Yeah, no,

(01:53):
you know what to throw on my list of places
to go, No disrespect to the Hawaiian people. I'm five
minutes from the beach where I'm at now, I'm sure,
and again without having been there, it does feel like
it's quite a different beach. No, I get it though,
But I mean, there's so much else in the globe
that I think I haven't expect done a little bit

(02:15):
of traveling. But certainly my passport has plenty blank pages
that I need to fill. Mine has all blank page
But like, I haven't been, but I need to get
back to I gotta get back to London because I
gotta go see the the Auba Show. I gotta get
back to Stockholm so I can go to the Alba
Museum again. Wait that was that sounded odd? But no,

(02:38):
I mean, like all those other travels, all dependent on
what a pop ups or uh facilities, the installations there,
there's no question about it. All sorts of fun but
no legitimately. And I hope he's having a good time.
I know he was saying he was evangelizing about Mike

(02:58):
White to everybody in the midst of all this chaos
with the New York Football Jets and Zach Wilson, Garrett Wilson,
the big comments yesterday, and then Robert Solis saying, hey,
he's got every right to say that he wants what
he wants, So you've got that role in for you.
As we get to Week twelve of the National Football League,
all the promotional stuff starting to ramp up, as we
get towards Thanksgiving Day games and the assorted food stuffs

(03:25):
and holiday specials that will start airing this week as well,
you know, twenty four hours of ELF, the Old Christmas
Story fun and all that stuff starts to flow in
as well. There's that New Christmas Story movie that came
out as well. See I always thought the original was overrated,
so I haven't been inclined to go see this one.

(03:46):
I'm a huge fan. I think I've told this story.
I know I've told it on Fox. Did I Did
I ever tell you went on the Christmas Story tour? No?
I know the house just changed hands again. Yes, so
this was before this was as the house. It just
turned into a tourist spot two thousand seven NBA Finals

(04:07):
Spurs and Calves, and I was covering it from the
network and I found out, you know that this the
house was turned into the Christmas Story House and they
were doing tours this middle of June. So this wasn't
even It's really wasn't known, Mike. But they had a
little house across the street that was set up for
a gift shop. And I went to the Cleveland neighborhood.

(04:30):
Found it had the old GPS from the rental car
like Fountain, you know, had to type in the address online,
find the address online, type it in, made my way
over and was taken and taken over to the house
and and it's the houses. Actually it's really neat. It's
neat to see if the neighborhood is neat, but very

(04:51):
very little of the movie was filmed inside the house,
so like, the bedrooms aren't the same. They tried to
make it, you know, but it's not like where they
you know, film the movie. A couple of spots, but
obviously the leg lamp. But the other neat thing to
me was the scene with the robbers, you know, in
the backyard and Alfie doing that whole thing and jumping
over the fence. So I really wanted to see the backyard,

(05:13):
and so the girl, because he was nineteen years old,
I was giving the tour. Um, let me go in
the backyard. And so I went in the backyard and
I went and looked over the fence and looked at everything,
and I went and walked to walk back into the
house and it was locked. Um my tour apparently was over,
and there was no one there. They just left me

(05:34):
in the backyard, like the girl left and went back
across the street. So I'm like, well, I guess tours over.
But I had the Christmas Story backyard to myself if
I wanted, because there was nobody else there. But uh yeah,
so it was a neat spot. Could have started to
recreate the movie yourself. You can go back again now,
see if it's any different all these years later. I

(05:56):
hope not, because that's it's supposed to change. It's not
supposed to change. But maybe inside they did some work
to make it more like the movie. Yeah maybe so
maybe so, I tell you it's it's a cool spot,
just like when they we did the you know, the
Brady Bunch house just down the road here and yeah, yeah,
so kind of kind of neat my chiropractors just right

(06:16):
across the you know, just right across the way from it,
so you can kind of see the backyard of it
that right. Yeah. Yeah, See, I like that Brady Bunch
reference you made earlier when Jason Cole joined us. That
was pretty sneaky of Smith finding the tiki idol that
was going all the bad luck surf and Greg bad
things are gonna happen. I remember that past that name

(06:38):
it through to Bobby Brady in the end backyard, you know,
legendary stuff. There you go. Maybe that's what I do
with my vacation days this week. As I start going
to all the landmarks, I get one of those maps
and I just started showing up outside and all these
Maybe I got on one of the studio tours without
my kids for once there there there there were four places.

(07:01):
I took family when they when I first moved out
here and took them to see number one. And I think,
I think it's the no brainer and it's morbid as
it is. But you made this reference earlier, or maybe
Isaac did with Melvin Gordon was shown, uh o J. Yes, Yes,

(07:24):
I lived in Santa Monica, so it was you know,
when I first moved to southern California, so it wasn't
that far away. Brady Bunch House was number two. But
also in that area, Brentwood sort of area off of Sunset,
the Golden Girls House is actually there and and and
I think they made some they did some stuff with

(07:46):
it recently, but the exterior shot of the Golden Girls
House that they would use is actually in southern California,
So that's over in Brentwood. And then number four in
Burbank would go past Wonder Year's House, so the Wonder
Years were Kevin grew up is over in Burbank. Legend
the the Golden Girls House was sold for three million

(08:08):
dollars Good times, Yeah, off of Saltaire Avenue. So since
we're going down nostalgia you brought up Melvin Gordon. I
just wanted to get this real quick because there was
the thread going around is it's not being corroborated that
he was playing any of futures music in the locker room.
It was ousted by Russell Wilson. I don't think that

(08:29):
has been corroborated so um, but it was an interesting
thing to watch people respond to that because look, in
the new age of Twitter, anything goes any more. Also
saw that on TikTok there you got everything. Everything on
TikTok is really so that's it all right. But I
wanted to commemorate two anniversaries. We'll get into the NFL

(08:52):
and NFL p A will do some fantasy football here
as the our roles. But on this date in this occurred,
everybody's got a price for the million Dollar Man. So
what do I will introduced to you now? My mystery
partner led to the ring by his manager brother Love

(09:17):
waiting at three hundred at twenty pounds from death, Dolly,
I give you the Undertaker, Undertaker of this part. Holy
look at us. A you like that? The million Dollar Man?

(09:37):
The Undertaker debut thirty two years ago. I mean, I'll
be going down the w W e UH and World
Class Championship Wrestling a w A archives a bit during
the time off, no question about that. But this popped
up on the timeline Dan and since the Undertaker retired,
Hall of Fame whatever and wrestling such a big part

(09:57):
of Uh, well me still reconnecting to the fildhood and
our people at Fox. With the Rustlemania coming to Los Angeles,
of course, I think you and I should be doing
some red carpet interviews during the Hall of Fame inductions
and everything. Uh. You also gave me a chance to
talk about the million Dollar Man, So there you go. Now,

(10:18):
if there was you'd have to be the billion dollar man, right, No, yeah,
you'd have to up that just kind of like in
Austin Balls. Yeah, you know, a million dollars doesn't go
as far as far as did Uh did Paul bart
Or was it? That was brother Love back in the Love? Yeah,
And then they got into the touring and what they
needed to do, uh from there, and that's where you

(10:39):
had precious Paul come in, Paul Bear. Yeah. No, it's
a good documentary. There was a whole series of things,
uh that that came through this last year. A and
E with their biographies and such. They did some some
good deep dives. Yeah, they're the best, like the wrestling
ones that they do or well. And then you have

(11:02):
the ones on vice which are a whole other thing,
the underside of the business, which sometimes you just scratch
your head and go, WHOA, I thought I knew that story.
Is that like the reels one where they like do
behind the scene of facts of life? And I think
I think there might be some of that to it.
And they talked to like like none of the main characters.

(11:25):
It's all people who had bit roles or were wronged
by a producer. Well, this year you're still gonna have
some of the principles who feel they were wronged by
the McMahon's sure, and that those careers have have come
and gone. But there's one more I wanted to get to.
There we celebrated, uh, the the greatness of Mark Callaway,

(11:46):
But now here's another memory memory jogging thing, and it's
really just wrong that Jason isn't here to wallow in it.
Tom more than an Indianapolis the offensive pool. Maybe you
gotta busted play here and then ends Sanches gets hit.
The ball is loose, and it's alive. I have never
seen this before in my life. Watch this. Vince Wilfork

(12:08):
is gonna throw Brandon Moore back into his quarterback. He's
gonna fumble the football. This is what Reggie White used
to do to people. Fork lift him and just lift
him off the ground. Mark Sanchez not expecting it, and
it was the backside of Brandon Moore to knock the
ball out there. It has ten years ago, the butt fumble.

(12:29):
I remember being at a friend's place when we were
getting ready to have dinner, and I'm like, now, I
gotta say, I gotta watch one more. I'm gonna watch
the rest of this possession. And then that happened. And
then slowly but surely, the attempt to say, Grace do
everything for the Thanksgiving dinner that went to hell because
everybody was transfixed by this play. And it was back

(12:50):
at TiVo, the big thing, so he had to like
the sound effect, and we probably watched it twenty times
trying to figure out exactly what we were seeing. I
I remember the game happening. I don't remember I remember
this play, but I don't remember going crazy over it.
And it was until maybe, you know, days later, a
day later that you realized this was this was the

(13:12):
butt fumble, um where we found out that your butt
can cause the fumble and or someone else's. But my goodness,
and considering considering the success that the Patriots have had
over the Jets as of late fourteen straight um, this
one not included. Still too far back, but maybe maybe

(13:32):
somewhere in that dominance this was this was a part
of it. But yeah, but fumble. You know what last Mike,
when we had but punt in Sanche's thought like he
was off the hook, but still butt punt did not
catch on like Buck fumble. No, was he wearing a
tiki idol. Bobby Brady thought it was good luck. You

(13:55):
might have to find him and ask him that question. Hey, Greg,
why don't you go into the surfing contest and then
you start playing Wipeout. Be sure to catch live editions
of The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at
ten pm Eastern, seven pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio
and the I Heart Radio app. Hey, welcome back in

(14:16):
It's the Fox Sports Radio Tail Game presented by the

grill you'll ever own, backed by a lifetime warranty roll
with the best shop online for free delivery at big
green egg dot com. Lifetime warranty, free home delivery, Big
green egg dot com. That's it. I'm going as Paul

(14:37):
Bearer for Halloween next year. I've decided you have time
to plan, get the suit, dye the hair really well,
you know what, I normally don't do much of any
of that, So you know I will get my Sequen
Delvis rowed back by then or Elvis Cape. But you know,
Spirit Halloween still maybe open, so maybe you can get
some discounts, some stuff on discount. Go buy a couple

(14:59):
of Allan's of fake blood that I could look like
I'm wearing the Crimson mask back in the day. Well,
I think one gallant will work my my daughter and
her friends to show you where we're at in this world. Um.
They all went as different iterations of Patrick Bateman, the
character played by Christian Bail in American Psycho. So she

(15:22):
actually bought a gallant of blood, Oh but not no,
I want it was a two for one, but she said,
we really don't need that much. Could have had it
all right, We'll do a couple of minutes of fantasy
talk on the other side of our Isaac Low and
Crown update here in a couple of minutes. But I
wanted to bring this to the attention because we keep

(15:43):
talking about contracts and and changing out right with Derek
Carr looking at dead money for next year, how liquid
are these owners in terms of paying out uh coach
buyouts and all that stuff to try to determine job
viability and and how much Sure, and we're gonna get
in certain low ations, particularly Las Vegas, but also Denver,

(16:04):
that's the Walts. They got plenty of money. Just a
question of philosophically what they want to do there, as
they do have Russell Wilson for quite some time. But
NFL Players Association recently filed the claim allegend that the
clubs in the NFL are colluding to have teams UH
not offer fully guaranteed contracts to players. They allege that

(16:25):
they discussed not agreeing to any further player contracts with
fully guaranteed salaries before, during, and after the owner's meeting
back in August. According to this memo that came into
the hands of the Athletic UH. The NFL PA has
asked the arbiter or the arbitrator to award damages and
to permit quote certain quarterbacks who have been adversely affected

(16:45):
by the collusive agreement to terminate their current player contracts.
It came after Deshaun Watson signed his fully guaranteed deal
despite everything going on off the yield, He's set to
return to the squad here in short order. So you
had a couple of owners speak out publicly against the contract,

(17:12):
and so now that becomes the grounds for a further investigation.
Dan Uh and generally in the NFL, we've talked about
it for a very long time. It's like guaranteed contracts
in a in a violent sport of this nature. If
you're the ownership side of it, of course you're saying
no and holding out as long as you can. That's
why we have the structures of signing bonuses and all

(17:34):
these other things. If if a house on your block
cells for five hundred times what it's worth, you know
what it's worth, um, and your house is not selling
that everybody in the market two equal houses did everybody

(17:55):
who's looking for a house colued to not buy your house?
At the price of the neighbors. No, it's because some
idiot decided to buy that house way way over market value.
And that's what the Cleveland Browns did. The Cleveland Browns
were the idiots who wanted to give the Shawn Watson
the guaranteed money. And it's not colluding when all of

(18:18):
the other owners in GM's realize that that's not a
good business deal to do, so it's it's absurd, And
I know it's the NFL p A fighting and fighting
for their players and stuff like that. There is no
collusion when everybody agrees that it was a crappy deal
except Jimmy Haslum in the Cleveland Browns. Right, But it's
the point is that it's a They don't even have

(18:40):
to agree on it. They all make the same independent
decision thirty one times. Right. It's like Christian Kirk getting
twenty million dollars or twenty one million dollars from the Jaguars.
People laughed at it, made fun of it. Right, he
hasn't had a thousand had but all of those kind
of metrics. And for the first part of the season,
guess who one of the top receivers in the game

(19:01):
was Christian Kirk. He's had some big games along the way,
and it's what the market will bear. Right, We talked
about doing comps. You know, I trade a little bit
in the baseball cards, football cards, whatever. You might have
ten sales that are all in twenty to thirty thirty
dollar range. But if some idiot comes in out of
the blue and pays a hundred fifty for one, that

(19:22):
doesn't mean the markets now a hundred fifty dollars like
Deshaun Watson. Look, if guys want to hold out and
say hey, I'm worth it, and then that's the game
in theory, Lamar Jackson's playing to a bit. Okay, Then
now you're assuming a bunch of risks and recognizing that
the way the system operates with the franchise tag which
your p A agreed to allow into it. Oh wait,

(19:45):
not just for one year, two years, and all of
these structure that's put in place, Like you don't have
that agency that you think you do. You can pout
and beg your way out and be a miscreant if
you want. And I'm not saying that about Lamar. I'm
just saying the general idea of trying to force your
way out and that's fine, and maybe they acquiesce, well

(20:08):
you don't have the freedoms you do, and and certainly
trying to push for guaranteed contracts those are gonna be
few and far between at any position. It's like like
the owners colluded together to not do bad deals. Right,
just because Bashadi and guys put it on tape and
that they were kind of mocking it and saying it's

(20:30):
a bad deal doesn't mean that it's a collusive effort
to say, well, we can't do that again. Yeah, I
listen that, you know it. It's I understand the the
guaranteed portion of it, where the fully guarantee is kind

(20:50):
of something that the owners you know, are like, well
that kind of stinks. But I don't think that Again,
it's just that it's one guy doing a bad deal
does not mean that because everybody else you know, agrees
that it's a bad deal, that they got together to
do it. I think that's just business. When we had
this in baseball, right when nobody was nobody was signing anybody, like,

(21:13):
that's a completely different story when all of those things. Yeah,
and even a few years ago, remember free agents were
like we're like we're entering spring training. We don't know
where certain players are going to be playing, you know,
like that's that's a different story where nobody is signing anywhere.
All that's happening here is that nobody wants to give

(21:33):
someone two hundred and thirty million dollars fully guaranteed. You know.
That's who, by the way, is also dealing with some
of the you know some you know well, but that's
but that's the other part of it though, Dan, right,
all of those accusations, all of those cases, and many
of them are settled. But he's also a guy that
hasn't played by his choice last year, before those accusations

(21:59):
became public, and by mutual agreement, he sat out and
then they signed him with all of this then pending,
and you get this huge suspension like it's it's just
bad business, yes, and because they said, well, this guy's
the only way he's gonna come here, because remember it
was like forty eight hours prior that he had allegedly

(22:21):
crossed Cleveland off his off his radar, right off his
list of would be suitors that he would agree to
go and sign on with. And then all of a sudden,
it's like, well, no, it's all guaranteed. Now, Okay, that
X was in pencil now exactly crossed them off. That's it.
It's like, well, can we can we take that up
to get a bigger racer one that then can cover

(22:44):
up the fact that it now says two hundred thirty
million dollars. He's Dan Buyer in for Jason spent on
Mike arm at the Jason Smith CEO with Mike Armen
here Fox Sports Radio. Coming out next, some fantasy waiver claims,
and a look ahead a little bit of a preview
of the I Watch Your Flex podcast. Since we have
Dan Buyer my my esteem colleague and and co host

(23:05):
Cohort Whenever you want to call it, uh, it's a comrade.
But you know that that starts getting us back into
the iron cheek nikolaive old call stuff. Be sure to
catch live editions of The Jason Smith Show with Mike
Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven pm Pacific on
Fox Sports Radio and the I Heart Radio app. Can't
wait to start watching get at two am this morning. Dan, Yeah,

(23:28):
I really wish this is in the summer, though, I
really do, Like, I mean, it's great, it's nice to
have it since it's great to have, because it'd be
great to have in the summer. Nice different here, but
I'll watch the matches Mike that you know, no doubt
about it, especially Friday us in England. But it does

(23:48):
it just it has its in those summer months and
you're not breaking up. You know, leagues across the world
have this intermission. It just was, yeah, yeah, we could
do the deep dive. There have been plenty of them
about the corruption of the the bidding process and all

(24:09):
of that, the stuff with bud Wiser before the tournament
within forty eight hours of starting, and all the other
things uh that have gone on mentioned the breaking up
of leagues as guys had to go and participate in
the tournament. We've got Manchester United, uh, Christiano Ronaldo leaving

(24:29):
the team the mutual agreement earlier, whatever mutual means, and
then the Glazer family looking like they're gonna sell after
all these years as well. So that's out there. Four
point six billion or thereabouts is the estimated value of
the club, which as we know, is always grossly underestimated
in this day where clubs don't change hands very much.

(24:52):
Now coming up in a couple of minutes. We're gonna
do um the uniform game, right because we we got
to talk whenever there's special unif forms. Our guy Dan
Bayer loves to uh look at the the color schemes
and what it all means. And then Tom Brady he's
already talking about how he wants to be as a broadcaster,
and he brought up an interesting name that I think

(25:13):
Dan Uh, we'll have some thoughts on as he talked
about it on the Let's Go podcast. But in the
Fantasy World for this week, Dan, we we start looking
at the the waiver wires as people are putting into
their last claims. Otavius Murray, we made the lines and
talked about Melvin Gordon being release. Well it ain't sexy,
but you got touches. So there's the opportunity for Latavia's

(25:36):
Murray Uh to run amock some A G. P. Ryan
with Joe Mixon still on the injury report. We joked
about it in the podcast for this week of how
I had I was so high on David Montgomery and
banging the drum and he would have been a top
five guy if it wasn't for some A G. P.
Ryan suddenly being a star only owned in six percent
of leagues. Right now, you've got James Cook, You've got

(25:57):
Isaiah Spilly, You've got some of these guys filling second.
He rolls the return of jameson Williams here uh in
short order for Detroit. Not sure what that brings, but
certainly you want a lottery ticket. That could be a
guy Deshaun Watson still available in a lot of leagues,
as he's one of his top targets upon his return.
Donovan People's Jones. I'll also say this, the guy that

(26:18):
you had mentioned on the podcast a week or two ago,
um to tell people to pick up to go get
him for the stretch may not get the number one job,
but one bee seemed to be the role that he
played last week James Cook uh in Buffalo. I mean,
you know he and Devin Singletary uh exact the salmon

(26:39):
wount the yardage against the Browns, and I think you
could see more of a role out there. And you
know in the uh you know about owning about of leagues,
So James Cook could be available for as it gets golder,
the wind starts to whip around, potential for chaos is there.
We actually did a fantasy draft for Thanksgiving Day game,

(27:00):
So if you're looking for your daily fantasy stuff, it
was kind of funny. It was. It was a lot
of fun. We only took the yeah from the six
teams playing on Thanksgiving, some really good lineups that could
have been better if we didn't forget guys in around
six and seven. That's the best of it, and I
promise all of you we were not drinking one bit

(27:20):
as we made that pick. Might have been a little
loopie based on the time we recorded, but either way,
that's up for you. Wherever you get your audio, go
download the podcast. Give it five stars. Evangel I sent
it to friends and family, Gather around the u logue
and maybe listen to us spin a few yards and
talk about the fantasy world as we get down into
the stretch. Roun. We appreciate you being part of the

(27:42):
extended family here on Fox Sports Radio. So coming up next,
as we're here from the tire rack dot Com Fox
Sports Radio Studios, we'll talk about the uniform, particularly the
one from Navy Dan, I want to get your take
on that. And then Tom Brady and his turn into
the broadcast booth. Is he gonna be a yeller as
a screamer. Is he gonna be Kevin Harland channeling guerrilla

(28:04):
mon soon? Probably something a little on the other end
of the spectrum. We'll talk about that next year on Fox.
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the I Heart
Radio app. Alright, last couple of wrongs up on the

(28:25):
ladder here as we run up the hills towards the
top of the hour, coming up in about twelve minutes
from now. Ben Maller takes you deep into the overnight.
Cheryl have plenty to say on Patrick Beverley and the
would be fight, well scuffle skirmish going on lake or
showing at least a little bit of fight. Uh, Mike Armen,

(28:45):
Dan Buyer with you, Jason Smith on vacation this week,
Jason SPI with me, Mike Harmon, thanks for being with
us this evening. Dan. I saw this storyline come through,
and I know a lot was made about the cowboys helmets.
Oh no, they leaked them. No, they leaked them four
months ago. That was not a story. But people still
get up in arms but the new Navy uniforms that

(29:07):
were unveiled today, now that's some next level stuff. Uh.
To try to describe it for the world, and they
get putting it up in the backdrop of like a
whole NASA thing. Yeah, the well it says uh NASA
on the side of the helmet in a not in
like a Jets way, but kind of in a Jets way. UM.

(29:28):
I don't know if that's the best way to uh
to describe it. Uh. Navy always very very creative. The Cowboys,
I felt, I said, that's the type of you would
buy that like helmet Mike at a gas station in Bakersfield,
like just one of those knockoffs, so you'd get at
a at a county fair. I am not a fan

(29:49):
of the Cowboys that their regular star their uniform to
me is so iconic, and why they go alternate and
why they try to, you know, do different or I
just I don't get it. I am not a fan.
Navy so creative, so outside of the box, and rarely
do do they or or Army or even Air Force
miss out any of their uniforms. But to do NASA

(30:11):
with the astronaut and yeah, the USS Enterprise patch on
one side, the NASA logo the other you've got the
the astronaut in space like it is a good look
like that's one that you'd like to find on the
secondary market, no question about it, saying fifty four United
States Naval Academy graduates have gone on to become astronauts,

(30:32):
the most of any institution. That's not one that that
to find that one a collectible on eBay guaranteed, just
mini helmet, that helmet would be hundred and fifty bucks minimum.
You know, if that was one I might pay for it, though,
yep you might. I got the white Bengal, remember that. Yeah, yeah, yeah,

(30:54):
it wasn't like that one was the same price as
all the other ones. No, no, no, no, no no,
this was a little bit more expensive. This for Navy cheez.
I don't even know how you'd fit it on a
mini helmet, to be honest. Well, you know what, We'll
have to get my cricket machine out. Yes, I have
a cricket machine. See if we can't replicate those logos
and get that cracking for you. You know, it's funny

(31:16):
because you mentioned that the Cowboys on Thanksgiving one of
the one of the bad traditions. I felt with the
Lions on Thanksgiving is when they would wear their throwbacks,
because Mike, all the throwbacks were worth taking the lion
off the helmet and basically taking the striping off the

(31:37):
sleep muting the sleeves and the and then taking the
logos off and maybe it looks like a more Matt finish,
so awful. Like, I just never understood why people like
I love the Lions, you know, throwbacks, They're just they're
so plain and they're so blah like it's just it's

(31:58):
no different. It's just less exciting than their current uniform.
I never never got that, never understood. It's funny my
brother and I were My brother was out out here
last week and we went to a bar to watch
the games, and guys sitting right over by us had
the the prison slash bumblebee uniform of the Steelers. He's
sitting there by himself and he's just to join the game.

(32:19):
And I'm like, you, sir, are king of this bar.
It's not quite when you go to a Chicago Bears
bar and this is a guy with the courtesy Inis jersey,
because you got that going for you too. All right, Uh,
look we've got the Let's Go podcast a lot being made,
Tom Brady how much longer is he gonna play? And
then he signed a deal with Fox, will be our
teammate here in Fox. Gonna make a lot of money

(32:41):
to join the broadcasting team, shake hands, kissed babies, whatever.
But on the latest podcast, he was asked about his
style and what he's looking to do once he actually
hits the broadcast area. When you play with west Walk,
when you play with Gronkowski and Edelman and Mike Evans,
you see greatness. And that's a very standard for perfect
sin that I want to see the gameplay that because

(33:02):
I value the sport, I value the coordination of this
incredible chess match that's happened in the play within every play,
And I just feel like there's probably more Johnny Miller
in me where you know, when I used to watch
him on golf telecasset, you know he would be it
was just scathing sometimes what that guy choked under pressure

(33:23):
or whatever. And that's essentially how I end up seeing
the game a lot now. Scathing one of my favorite words.
Oh great, great call, great guy to to try to
emulate as well. Absolutely, Johnny Miller called it like he
saw it and and would take you through what was

(33:45):
going on with the with the player, and if the
player didn't come through, Johnny Miller would let you know
about it because he knew about it. And that's that's
all that you want. And and Mike, you know, another
good barometer is when the players are mad at you
for what you're saying. That's a good barometer that maybe
you're doing the right thing, that's right, You're there's that

(34:06):
element of truth and truth thirds and we see it
all the time. Why I don't really get out of
swords when people get mad at you know, Aaron Rodgers
or whatever. I'm like, all right, so he's fighting back
at some of what he's hearing from you knuckleheads. Why
is and now you're mad at him? Or they give
you a grain of truth in a press conference, like, oh,
I can't believe he said that? Is that what you wanted?

(34:28):
And then the boost the same thing, absolutely absolutely, And yeah,
Johnny Miller. You know, Paul Lazinger's taken over for him,
and there's there's only gonna be one Johnny Miller. Truly.
Nick Faldo moving on, you know at CBS. So you've
got a lot of new voices, but just very very
tough to replace Johnny Miller in golf or in any sport.

(34:50):
So if Tom Brady is aiming for that, that's actually
a very very very good news for anybody who likes football,
because if you get that sort of commentary, you're in
for a treat. It always comes back to you. Um well,
all end with Rick Flair since I've made so many
random wrestling uh and we and we celebrated the Undertaker's appearance.
Is Rick Flair used to always talk about the officiatings

(35:11):
like I don't like Tommy Young, but he calls them
like he sees him. That's wrestling, so you laugh at it.
But we talk about that and with officiating all the time.
Happy Thanksgiving, Dan, appreciate Jade. I watch your Flex podcasts
out there. Ben Mell are coming up next year on
Fox Sports Radio.
